[vlog]ハワイ旅行最新2025🌴費用も公開/おすすめグルメとショッピング/マウイ島とワイキキで過ごす1週間
This year’s Hawaii trip began on Maui. I took a domestic flight in Honolulu to Kahului Airport. (Watch the Waikiki version at 7:15 PM! 💨) My first stop in my rental car was WHOLE FOODS MARKET, an organic supermarket I always visit in the US. It’s located near the airport, so it’s a great place to stop by upon arrival. They have fresh produce, skincare, and cosmetics. I completely forgot my body cream, so I stocked up on that first thing. They also have a deli section, so I bought a few days’ worth of salads, bread, and smoked salmon. Looking back, it’s actually pretty pricey for groceries bought at the supermarket! I arrived at my accommodation for the next four nights. I booked it two weeks in advance using my vacation club owner points, and I’m so glad I managed to get it! 🤍 The Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas is a condominium overlooking Ka’anapali Beach in West Maui. I’d heard that Ka’anapali is Maui’s signature resort, and is very popular with mainlanders. The space was filled with nature, surrounded by flowers and palm trees. There were no Japanese people around, and it felt much more remote than Waikiki. We booked a one-bedroom apartment. The living room, dining room, kitchen, and bedroom were all separate, making it very comfortable. ☺️ First, the kitchen. It was spacious and had ample cooking space. There were more dishes, cutlery, and glasses than enough for two people. There were so many cooking utensils that we couldn’t possibly use them all, and even coffee and tea were provided, which I didn’t expect since it was a condominium. ✌️ The huge Western-style oven. One of the things I was looking forward to during my stay was cooking in this oven at Costco. There was also a dishwasher, making washing dishes a breeze. Detergent was provided, and they even replenished any supplies we ran out of, so we were truly taken care of. Next was the living/dining room. The long, narrow dining table could seat up to six people. It was almost too big for just the two of us…😏 Because we booked at the last minute, we got a first-floor room. The view from the window was beautiful, with ocean views and nearby greenery. Relaxing on the lanai is a Hawaiian experience. The bedroom is completely separated from the living and dining room by a door, allowing for a very quiet sleep. The king-size bed. It was also great to wake up and enjoy the view from the lanai…◎ Next to it were the sink, toilet, and bathroom. There was a bathtub, but for some reason we never used it…but it’s nice to be able to soak in hot water!🤍 You can also enjoy the view from the bathtub by opening the partition. The two sinks are side-by-side, so we have space between them (which is super helpful)…!! My only complaint was the slightly weak water pressure in the shower room. The washer and dryer were also very convenient, keeping laundry from piling up. Dinner: I plated up some deli food from WHOLE FOODS. Chicken burrito ✌️ Let’s eat! Especially on the first day, I’m tired, so it’s much easier to eat in my room than at a restaurant. I slept soundly tonight in preparation for the next day…😪 Unusually, I woke up late, and my husband was already preparing breakfast in the kitchen. Thank you! Let’s eat! Avocado and smoked salmon toast with my all-time favorite Noosa yogurt🤤 and plums for dessert. It looked so delicious! So this is breakfast on the lanai. This is what I worked so hard for in Japan…! Delicious♡ After breakfast, I took a little walk around the facility. This is a huge property, after all. Kaanapali Beach stretched out before me, a beautiful clear blue. It was the end of September, so I thought the heat would have died down a bit, but the sun was shining brightly, as you’d expect from Hawaii. We’re heading to Costco. Since I can use the Costco card I made in Japan in Hawaii, I decided to go to Costco for the first time. The breakfast they made for me tasted even better when I ate it on the lanai. In Hawaii, getting up early is the best way to spend your time. 🌈 In addition to food, we also managed to snag some unexpected treats, like Calvin Klein underwear. ✌️ For some reason, I was listening to a song I loved in elementary school on my way home. It was only 3 PM. It was still light out when we got back to the hotel, and I felt like donning my swimsuit and heading to the beach. Before that, let’s have a late lunch. 🎶 The Costco in Hawaii also had a lot of delicious deli items, so I picked up a few that caught my eye. Garlic shrimp. 🦐 They had varieties of deli items you won’t find in Japan, and it was so much fun choosing. 🤍 I wish they made garlic shrimp in Japan too! Spare ribs, garlic shrimp, and a mixed salad with quinoa and nuts. We’d always wanted to travel like we were living in Hawaii. A laid-back Hawaii isn’t so bad, either. 🌈 It was evening, and the wind was getting a little chilly. It looked like we wouldn’t be able to go in the ocean, but we wanted to relax on the beach for a bit. I’d decided to take it easy in Maui, so I snuck a book I was reading into my suitcase. I wish this time could last forever. It was ice cream time in my room, watching YouTube. 🍦 Calories and stuff like that were the last thing on my mind while I was in Hawaii…😮💨 I woke up earlier than planned on the third morning. I had a yoga activity booked for today, but before that, I decided to do my daily walk here in Hawaii. That’s why I packed my heavy suitcase with gear specifically for this! The wind in Maui at the end of September, before the sun rose, was very cool, almost chilly. There were a few other early risers besides me, all taking walks or reading books on benches. This was the first cat I’d seen in Hawaii. 🐈 As I walked, the sun rose and the ocean began to sparkle. My second cat. 🎶 Is it normal to see so many cats here? After my walk and yoga, I prepared a simple breakfast. I toasted one side of a bagel in a frying pan and spread cream cheese on it. It was a simple bagel sandwich, just with smoked salmon filling. 🎶 Just like yesterday, we had breakfast on the lanai. We ate a lot this morning. 😎 After breakfast, we headed to the beach. I tried on my favorite swimsuit. 👙 It was cloudy at first, so the ocean was this color, but when it cleared up, it was a stunning blue! I was so happy to see the ocean color I was looking forward to. I’m not sure if it’s always like this on Kaanapali beaches, but the waves were so strong the whole time, I felt like I was going to be swept away… 😳 I took a shower, got ready, and decided to go out for a bit . PANPURI perfume oil is a roll-on, so it’s super convenient for traveling. 🤍 When I come to Hawaii, I always bring along the clothes I’ve been collecting. WHALERS VILLAGE is a shopping mall about a 10-minute drive from Kaanapali. First, I went to ISLAND VINTAGE COFFEE for tea. ☕️ After ordering, I always think, “I can’t finish it, so I wish they’d make the size a little smaller and cheaper…” 😇 But even so, I still think their coffee is refreshing and delicious. 🎶 The ALOHA Collection, a classic Hawaiian souvenir, offers a wide selection of functional pouches, bags, and accessories that are easy to use on trips. The colors are cute, and many of the items are compact, making them perfect for giving away. ✨ They also had Lululemon, so I decided to check out some items I’d been eyeing. I was hesitant to buy them. Since it’s right next to the beach, locals seem to stop by on their way home. I bought my favorite Maui-style chips at ABC store and headed home. They were, of course, Maui onion. 🎶 For dinner , I grilled the salmon I bought at Costco. The salmon was topped with a mixture of dill and butter, and it already smelled amazing…🤍It took longer than I expected, so maybe I should have just cooked it in a frying pan…but I guess that’s just a memory of my trip. As expected, it was delicious! I wish they sold this in Japan too…😫Only in a condominium can you have a relaxing meal like this in the dining room. It was a relaxing evening. I arrived in Paia, a town on the north side of Maui. It’s a small, old-fashioned town with a strong surf culture. PAIA FISH MARKET is a popular spot in Waikiki. Its flagship store is located in Paia. I ordered a mahi-mahi plate and an ono Caesar salad. 🐟 The Caesar salad features ono, a type of Spanish mackerel. Ono is refreshing and easy to eat. On the other hand, mahi-mahi is more moist and stands up to the strong seasoning. Personally, I preferred the mahi-mahi. 🤍 Paia is lined with small shops frequented by locals. This select shop also carries vintage items. They had a wide selection of cute items, from denim to beachwear. ✨ These generous bikinis are so cute. 😎 Isn’t this bikini I saw at this store adorable? 🤍 They also had original products made in Maui, and just browsing through each store was fun. I decided to check out Mana Foods, a local supermarket, since it seemed like they could also buy souvenirs. It’s rare to see a chocolate flavor this size from Honolulu Cookies. 🤔 The PAIA BLEND coffee beans ☕️ were cutely packaged, but they didn’t have decaf… Artisan Ice Cream is probably the most famous ice cream shop in the area. The charming staff let me sample many flavors. 🤍 I chose the Sea Salted Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip flavor. It was incredibly rich and flavorful, and you could tell it was painstakingly made. 🍨 Hawaii’s only Krispy Kreme is located in Kahului, Maui. It’s a 12- or 13-minute drive from Paia. I heard they had some rare T-shirts sold only there, so I stopped by. These things, whether you wear them or not, are important because they reflect the mood of the moment. (I guess?) We decided to get matching T-shirts as a memento of our rare visit to Maui. They even packaged the T-shirts in a donut box like this, which was so cute I even brought the box back to Japan with me. 😘 We then enjoyed a leisurely drive. We’d be gone tomorrow. For dinner on our final day in Maui, we went to RUTH’S CHRIS STEAK HOUSE. It’s a favorite steakhouse I visited in Waikiki two years ago. I booked this time in Maui, expecting a more relaxed dining experience than in Waikiki, and my prediction was correct! ✌️ Ruth’s Classic, available until 5:45 PM, offers a great deal on a signature menu course. We started with seafood gumbo soup and Caesar salad. The seafood gumbo soup was packed with seafood flavor. It was my first time trying it, but the Cajun-inspired flavor was addictive! 🎶 Next came the main course: lobster and filet mignon, accompanied by creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. The lighting made it almost impossible to see, but the portions were generous and undeniably delicious! 🤍 MAUI▶︎▶︎▶︎ OAHU I arrived on Oahu on a morning flight. Today, I’ll be staying in Waikiki for three nights. ☺️ I’ll drop my bags off in my hotel room and start by filling my stomach. Our first stop was Yucchan 🎶, where I wanted my husband, a naengmyeon lover, to try some. Yucchan is famous for its kudzu naengmyeon (arrowroot naengmyeon), perfect for when you’re tired of American food. We ordered bibim naengmyeon, kudzu naengmyeon (arrowroot naengmyeon), and kalbi (short ribs). You could tell it was delicious even before you ate it! 🤤 Absolutely delicious! A noodle that everyone loves! Yeah! The noodles were delicious! I ate it all in one go. It was so relaxing to have Korean food after such a long time! 🤍 Then we walked to Ala Moana. First, we headed to the first floor of Nord Strom. They have a sale corner in the back, which I always check. They had a great deal on Birkenstocks! Birkenstocks have been my favorite shoe brand since my husband gave them to me. Skims was on the second floor. They also had underwear on display, so I didn’t take any photos. Skims hasn’t arrived in Japan yet, so I was super lucky to be able to buy some here. 😘 My husband also wanted to shop at ALO. They said they offer free shipping to Japan even if you don’t find your size (though it depends on the prefecture), so I tried on a few items I was interested in. The bra top is a little big around the shoulders, but it’s cute with its unique design. The hoodie has a cute, thin ribbed design. The short length is just right. 🤍 It would be perfect for loungewear or for walking around the neighborhood. My husband also bought sneakers. I’ll introduce what I bought in a separate video later. ☺️ Ala Moana holds so many memories for me, it’s one of my must-visit spots, even if I don’t shop there. I returned to the hotel and changed into a dress for my evening stroll. I brought so many clothes that I need to change them regularly to fit everything back in. 🤣 Personally, I think the best poke in Waikiki is at Waikiki Market. Even the small size is so big, it’s almost too much to finish, so if you have a small appetite, one serving for two might be enough. (It’s really huge.) They also sell malasadas at the counter on the other side, so I bought some this time too. 🤍 I can’t go back to Japan without trying their poke! I also really like Off the Hook, but it’s a little far away, so I don’t think I’ll be able to go this time. Anyway, I love Hawaiian ahi poke. 😘 The malasadas were light, fluffy, and delicious. It’s a happy night. Now that I’m back at the inn, let me give you a brief tour of the facilities and my room. ✨ The eight-story Marriott Vacation Club just opened in 2024, so it’s no surprise that everything is so clean. There was a water dispenser on each floor. This is crucial in Hawaii, where even water is expensive! There was a large kettle in the refrigerator in my room, so I filled it up every day. There was also a small convenience store on the third floor, where the lobby is, so I could easily get something to drink when I got hungry without having to go out. They also had ice cream, snacks, snacks, and souvenirs. ✌️ I booked a one-bedroom room. First, the bathroom. There were two sinks, which were spacious and comfortable. The amenities were by Malie. 🤍 I really love the sweet scent. Oh, and by the way, they also had slippers. This is a blessing, considering many hotels overseas don’t offer slippers. The bathtub isn’t combined with the shower, so I’ll be able to enjoy a long soak in the tub. (Well, we never used them…) The bathrobes were well-made and we used them every day. ✌️ The toilet was a reliable and trustworthy TOTO. The kitchen wasn’t particularly large, but since we weren’t planning on using it much in Waikiki, it was sufficient. Like the rooms we stayed in in Maui, it was equipped with dishes, cutlery, cooking utensils, and a microwave. The only thing missing was an oven. Even if you don’t cook, takeout tastes better when served on a plate, and that’s what we did. Next was the living/dining room. With a four-person table and a spacious sofa, it was a very relaxing space. There was an ottoman hidden under the table. 🎶 There was also a cabinet, so we could display and store our everyday jewelry, watches, and hats there. While it’s unavoidable due to the room’s layout, the proximity of the dining table to the TV bothered me. lol The bedroom, separated by a door, had a king-size bed. There was also a TV there, so I spent the day dozing off in bed watching TV. ☺️ I woke up at 6am that day. Since there was no sign of lightening outside, I looked out the window. It was raining! Even though I had a breakfast reservation, I got ready to head out, hoping it would stop soon. Hau Tree is my favorite restaurant, a place I visited two years ago. I was able to enjoy breakfast with a view of Waikiki Beach right in front of me. As I’d hoped, the rain had mostly stopped, but the sky was still covered in clouds, and the usual sparkling ocean was still missing. My favorite at Hau Tree is the ricotta pancakes. 🤤 They’re made with calamansi, a citrus fruit, and have a very refreshing taste. Of course, their signature eggs Benedict is also delicious. 🤍 Of course, I wanted both. I asked my husband to share. The ocean and sky are gradually getting brighter…! Please, please keep clearing up…! The food is a little slow to come out and the portions are large, so I recommend it for those who want to spend the morning leisurely. The restaurant is on the first floor of the Kaimana Beach Hotel, so you can also enjoy the hotel’s interior. ✨ It’s sunny…! Thank you…! I returned to the hotel and went to see the infinity pool on the 8th floor. There were many sofas and tables available, so you could relax there without even getting in the pool. There’s also a lounge next door. After a relaxing morning, we decided to go for lunch, something my husband wanted. It was garlic shrimp from the famous North Shore restaurant “GIOVANNI’S.” 🦐 It opened a few years ago at H Mart in Kakaako, making it easily accessible. They offer several flavors, and I ordered the classic garlic and lemon butter. I think I would have been better off with both garlic. 😇 The second floor of H Mart is a food court with other restaurants, but most people there were probably eating Giovanni’s garlic shrimp. Since we were in Kakaako, we had to stop by SALT, right? SALT is a must-visit shopping mall when we visit Hawaii. It’s home to several stylish shops and a cute cafe. 🎶 Here is a stylish select shop. They have a very cute selection of relaxed clothing and accessories perfect for a Hawaiian stay. I also found a shell-shaped hair clip. 🤍 It would look great on the beach! The bag features a distinctive two-tone pleats. It’s compact, so it seems perfect for travel. However, I was a little surprised to see that a store that had been there until last year was gone… I’d seen vacant storefronts in Waikiki several times, and with prices so high, I felt a little sad, thinking that it must be tough. Anyway , we returned to Kalakaua Avenue. The morning rain was a dream come true, but the sun was shining brightly. Probably my favorite view in Hawaii is the contrast of pink and blue seen from the lobby of the Royal Hawaiian. While we weren’t staying at the Royal Hawaiian this time, I love pink, so I stopped by the shop. 🎶 They also have a wide selection of everyday souvenirs, like tumblers and pouches. My love for pink hasn’t changed, even as an adult… 🦩 I’m still debating whether to buy this bathrobe! I want it, but I have to think a bit about whether it will fit in my suitcase. 🤔 We decided to put the bathrobe aside and enjoy the beautiful evening at Waikiki Beach. Since it was late lunch, we weren’t particularly hungry, so we decided to just get a salad and malasadas for takeout. I’d heard that Penny’s malasadas were delicious, so I decided to try them. There were several flavors, so we tried each one. 🎶 We got our salads at ISLAND COUNTRY MARKETS on the first floor of the Ritz. They have a wide variety, so I highly recommend them. Before we knew it, our trip was nearing its end. I’m sure we’ll be back soon, but I’m starting to feel a little sad. We shared three malasadas together. They were as delicious as rumored! They were light, so we could have eaten as many as we wanted. It was a night of eating delicious food and saying “this is delicious.” It’s the same daily routine in Japan and Hawaii. Today, I’m going to eat acai bowls this morning. 🎶 I’m taking him to my favorite acai bowl place. It’s right next to Fort DeRussy Beach Park. My go-to topping for acai bowls is peanut butter. 🤍 The flavor is completely different with or without it! The beach here has a strong local vibe, a calming atmosphere, and it’s very relaxing. After eating our acai, we just gazed out at the ocean for a while. Watching the people having fun in the ocean somehow made me want to get in the water too, so I decided to go for a dip in the hotel pool. It’s on the 8th floor, so I could see the whole of Waikiki, making it worthwhile just for that. There weren’t many people there at the time, so we were the only ones there. And it was such a luxury. He really liked Yucchan’s hiyashi naengmyeon, so he asked me to have it again. This time, we both ordered bibim hiyashi naengmyeon. 🤍 The chewy noodles here are truly addictive…🤤 It may look small, but the portions are surprisingly generous, so we were full by the time we’d finished them. We also ordered buchimgae. It wasn’t what I expected, but it was delicious. 🎶 There was a shop in Ala Moana that I’d forgotten to visit, so I asked him to join me for a bit of window shopping. Anthropologie is an American interior and apparel brand. Their tableware and cutlery are very cute, with colors and designs rarely seen in Japan. 🤍 The pop butter case. It looks like it will make everyday housework and cooking more enjoyable. A plump mug. There were so many wonderful items, it was hard to choose. I also bought a cute T-shirt with a stylish design. 🎶 Incidentally, BUYMA sells them for about 20-30% more, so if there’s something I want, it’s better to buy it here, even with the weak yen. In the end, I didn’t shop at Ala Moana because I couldn’t forget the Royal Hawaiian bathrobe I saw yesterday. I checked the fit and successfully purchased it. 🤍 I’m looking forward to wearing it at home after my bath…! Since I had dinner reservations for my last night in Hawaii, I picked out a dress that matched the restaurant’s atmosphere and tried it on. Orchids is an Italian restaurant on the first floor of the Halekulani Hotel. It’s a charming restaurant with a panoramic view of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head. I made an early reservation so I could watch the sunset. On our last night of the trip, we always reminisce about our trip and laugh out loud. Before the sun went down, I took some photos. The shrimp pasta was packed with flavor. It was absolutely delicious. The white fish was plump and crispy, perfectly paired with white wine. 🤍 By the time our main course arrived, the sun had completely set, and the restaurant’s atmosphere had taken on a new mood. The staff’s service was also excellent, just the right amount of attentive. This restaurant is definitely one I’d like to return to. We headed to the airport at lunchtime and then back to Japan. We headed to the Royal Hawaiian for our final breakfast. We couldn’t leave without trying the Royal Hawaiian Bakery’s bread. 😏 My favorite is the ham and cheese croissant. 🤍 It’s big and heavy, so one is enough to fill me up. As I ate my final breakfast, I began to feel like I wouldn’t be back here for a while… It was as sunny as ever, with a blue sky. After a short walk, we decided to have an early lunch at Island Country Market on the first floor of the Ritz. While the deli items were delicious, the on-site meals were also delicious, so we ordered steak and garlic shrimp. It was a week of eating a lot and having a lot of fun. I’m returning to Japan with lots of memories in my heart. I’ll come again.
