How are you all doing? Welcome to the Nabe Travel Channel. This time, I’m going to visit Tenseien, located in Hakone Yumoto Onsen, Kanagawa Prefecture. This inn is famous for its buffet and open-air bath in the sky, and I ‘ve always been curious about it. I wonder what kind of hotel it is? I’m looking forward to it. So, let’s take a look together. Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and click the hype button. Now , let’s start with the room tour. Today’s room is on the third floor. Room 363. I wonder what kind of room it is? I’m looking forward to it. Now, let’s open the door . This is what it looks like when you enter the room. There’s a sink and toilet on the right. The main room is in front, but it’s compact. This time, it’s a twin room, 22 square meters, and I think the room size is about the same as a compact city hotel. It has a slightly Japanese modern design. This time I stayed in a standard twin type room, but they also have Japanese-Western style rooms and rooms with open-air baths. The Hane River flows in front of the room. Here are the snacks for tea. They have cherry shrimp rice crackers and green tea. This is what it looks like from the window side. I wonder how big the bed is? There are two semi-doubles, I think. Here is the refrigerator and valuables box. I’ve never seen this type before. Here is the sink. There are amenities such as lotion and face milk, and I ‘ll be back next time. This is the closet, which can be used as a luggage storage space. Shoulder bags for use in the hotel are extremely convenient, aren’t they? I carry my camera when I take photos, so it’s very helpful. This time I booked through Rakuten Travel. The standard plan with two buffet meals was 34,400 yen for two people for one night on a weekday, and I think it’s good value for money. Now, let’s take a walk around the hotel. I’m coming. I learned that Tenseien can be used as a day spa apart from overnight stays, so it may be quite noisy on weekends . It’s probably best to keep this in mind beforehand, as the facilities are a relaxing space surrounded by waterfalls and greenery, and you can enjoy a modern, high-quality space . Near the front desk, there are shops selling yukata and other items, as well as a relaxation spa, a game center, and fortune telling. The garden, which can be accessed directly from inside the building, is one of Tenseien’s charms. The garden, rich in nature and offering seasonal views, also has the power spot of Tamadare Falls and Tamadare Shrine, where the god of matchmaking is enshrined. It’s also nice to take a walk after the hot springs, feeling the negative ions. It’s especially lit up at night, creating a fantastic atmosphere. Next up is the hot springs, which are 17 meters long. The open-air bath in the sky has an outstanding sense of openness. With nothing blocking the view above, you can enjoy bathing while watching the rich four seasons of Hakone, including the autumn mountains turning red . The temperature of the open-air bath is not too hot, so you can stay in it for a long time, which feels really good. You can relax while looking at these bamboos. It is beautiful because it is lit up at night. Next, let’s go to see what the long-awaited dinner is like . Dinner is a buffet at the restaurant Takimitei on the second floor. It is divided into two 90-minute sessions, and you can choose between 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm. Here, you can enjoy about 60 kinds of freshly prepared dishes and menu items, such as tempura and freshly made sushi prepared by the chef in front of you, as well as teppanyaki. Kagosei is a famous, long-established kamaboko shop in Odawara. The pizza has a thin crust and looks delicious. The hotel curry is also sold at the shop on the first floor, which I’m a little curious about. It is domestic beef rib roast, and each piece is huge. It was sold out quickly after customers lined up. The seafood section has a wide selection of nigiri sushi, rolls, and sashimi, and the chefs make the sushi right in front of you. The sushi at buffets is often quite large and filling, but the portions here are smaller, which is helpful. I forgot to try the wild yam, which looked really delicious. On a side note , Yamayaku Miyagino, a wild yam farm restaurant in Hakone, is also delicious. There isn’t much parking, so it may be busy, but if you’re interested, check it out. There are also a wide variety of desserts, many of which are fun to make, such as chocolate fondue and soft serve ice cream. There were also many families with children and couples, which was great. Depending on the plan you book, you may get an all-you-can-drink option for alcohol, or you can order ala carte. I picked up some and would like to try it. There was a wide selection of seafood, but there was also a wide variety of Western and Chinese dishes, which was nice. Each piece was big and the skin was thin, like this. They also had naan to go with xiaolongbao and curry. For dessert, this Danish was delicious. I topped it with soft serve ice cream. Next, let’s take a look at the breakfast buffet. Breakfast is served from 7am to 9:30am. Breakfast includes popular items like pancakes and French toast, as well as a seafood bowl with as much sashimi and salmon roe as you like. We also have Tamadare tofu made with spring water from the Tenseien gardens. We also have boiled whitebait from Suruga Bay. The list goes on and on, but there’s something to satisfy both Japanese and Western food lovers. The French pancakes look delicious, and there’s a wide variety of breakfast options. There are regular pancakes and adult pancakes with gorgonzola cheese, which were interesting. I chose one this time because I was particular about the color . I need to eat some vegetables too. I’ve been wanting to try the green juice, and it was mostly apple-based, so it was easy to drink. It was delicious, and I was very satisfied. Personally, I wish I’d chosen a larger room.
