Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo In Dubai Mall | 4K Walking Tour & Vlog
Today, we’re visiting the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo. Let’s take a look at all the species in this aquarium. The aquarium is located int he Dubai Mall, one of the largest shopping mall in the world. Hello! I’m standing in front of the entrance to the Dubai Mall. This is one of the largest shopping malls in the world, which opened in November 2008. Like the mall, the aquarium also opened in November 2008. The aquarium is located at the back of the luxury watch boutique area where we are. The aquarium reception is located on the first floor of the mall. Tickets can be purchased online or at the reception. It’s open from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM or midnight. There are three ticket options: Silver 199 AED, Gold 269 AED, and Platinum 399 AED. The aquarium observation panel is 31 meters (107 feet) wide and 8.2 meters (27 feet) high. It is one of the largest aquarium viewing panels in the world. Beautiful fishes. There’s a huge shark. Its fearsome eyes and sharp teeth! And a graceful ray. So beautiful! You can also take an underwater gondola ride to see the fish up close. Diving into the tank is available for a fee. You can also see coral reefs in the aquarium. You can have your photo taken at the back. Photos can be purchased later for a fee. Here’s a photo purchase card. This aquarium and underwater zoo is divided into three areas. The first area is the 48 meters (157 feet) long shark tunnel. You can see information about sharks and other fish on the monitor. Giant Grouper. The Giant Grouper looks listless. The Grey Reef Shark and Sand Tiger Shark. Up close, you can see their sharp teeth. A shark bite can be life-ending. The sharks look similar, making it hard to tell them apart. You can see their gills moving. They’re huge. The Sawfish. It has something like a saw on its head. It looks like a face, but it’s actually nostrils and a mouth. There are many other fish in the tunnel. It’s said that there are 400 sharks and rays in the tank. That’s impressive. I could only see about 10 with my own eyes. Further inside, you can purchase photos. The first floor is the aquarium, containing only the shark tunnel and the photo purchasing area. Exit and take the escalator to the second floor. If you’re visiting for the first time, it may be confusing to see the second floor. The second-floor tank… is home to many sharks. Is it the same shark we saw earlier? It’s hard to tell the difference. It’s a ray with a strange pattern. I’m worried the small fish will get eaten by the sharks. The first floor is the aquarium, and the second floor is the underwater zoo. Enjoy a great view from the second floor. The reception. It is impressive to see one of the largest aquarium viewing panels in the world. A promotional video for the aquarium and underwater zoo is playing. The aquarium and mall were developed by Dubai real estate company EMMAR. Head to the entrance to the Underwater Zoo on the second floor. You will also need to show your ticket here. I show my ticket and go inside. Of the three types of tickets (Silver, Gold, Platinum), I bought the Gold ticket. The Gold and Platinum tickets included a glass-bottom boat tour. Go on a boat tour. I put on a life jacket. The aquarium we had seen earlier is connected to the first and second floors. Let’s get on the boat. The boat can accommodate about 10 people and is shared. The glass-bottom boat allowed us to view the aquarium through the glass floor. We saw the sharks and rays we had seen earlier. The instructor gave us safety instructions and an explanation of the aquarium. If you’re just riding a boat, you don’t have to worry about being in danger. For an additional fee, you can also experience diving. During the dive, you can swim up close to the sharks. The fish were quite far from the glass floor, making it difficult to see clearly without a camera. I thought the boat tour was an experience worth not taking. The cheapest Silver ticket (199 AED) is probably enough. There seem to be some small fish. They’re called Yellow Staghorn Damsels. From the boat tour, we return to the original route. There’s another tunnel and screen here. Here, too, we can see explanations about sharks. There seem to be six types of sharks. There are videos showing shark encounters and shark diving experiences. If you’re interested, why not join in? On to the next area. From here, we enter the underwater zoo. The rainforest area. Explanations about fish and birds are available on the monitor. There are fish in small tanks. Since it’s a rainforest, the atmosphere is different from the shark tunnel. The fish are so beautiful. The birds are screaming. Colorful parakeets in blue, yellow, and green. They’re really showing off. What’s this? There appear to be Asian small clawed otters. Cute face. There also seem to be nutrias. They were in the hole the whole time and couldn’t see. Explanations about fish and birds. There are so many species, it’s hard to remember them all. The fish have a calm look on their faces. An axolotl (Mexican salamander). Mysterious. A small face. A school of fish. An image search reveals that this fish is called a Colossoma. A large freshwater fish that lives in the Amazon River system in South America. In a cylindrical aquarium… a very small, brightly colored fish. So beautiful. It seems like it would be suitable for keeping and displaying at home. A description of the fish is on the monitor. There are also some very small fish here. A feast for the eyes. An image search reveals that it’s a sterlet (Acipenser ruthenus). A closer look at its face reveals… it has four barbels. Apparently, the barbels help it find food on the seabed. It uses its barbels and mouth to hunt for small creatures on the seabed. It’s explaining something. A fish called an archerfish (toxotidae). It squirts water from its mouth to shoot down insects and other prey from the surface of the water. A very small, yellow fish. Beautiful fish look great on film. I’d love to watch them as soothing videos at home. To the left, you’ll find the penguin area. There’s a strange-shaped shark here. Paddlefish. It is characterized by its long “spatula” that resembles a Tengu’s nose. After looking at the beautiful fish, head to the penguin area. Near the penguin area, there’s also the entrance to the shark diving experience. Information about the penguins. Gentoo penguins are kept here. They are the third largest penguin in the world. They have an average lifespan of 10 to 15 years. The penguin area is popular. There’s a gondola ride where you can experience encountering sharks. I didn’t ride the gondola this time. Penguin size chart. The largest is the emperor penguin, and the second is the king penguin. There are 18 species of penguins. It’s about time to see them. As mentioned above, we’re seeing Gentoo penguins here. They range in length from 51cm to 90cm and weigh between 5kg and 8.5kg. Is it feeding time? The penguins stand there in shock. Penguins lying on the ice. A penguin slipping its feet. It has something on its arm. Apparently, it’s a band used to identify the individual penguin. It’s a well-built penguin. Next to it is an aquarium. You can watch the penguins swim. They are considered the fastest penguins, reaching a maximum speed of 35km/h . They are carnivorous and primarily feed on krill. Their natural predators in the sea include killer whales and leopard seals. There are lots of penguins on the ice. They’re just relaxing. What are they thinking? There are also penguin interactions available for a fee. The Dubai Aquarium’s water cycle. The aquarium holds 10 million liters of water. Moon jellyfish (Ephyra). Moon jellyfish (Medusa). What a small, beautiful jellyfish. There are many different types of jellyfish. Upside-down jellyfish. This jellyfish is literally upside down. About the marine food chain. About the reproduction of cartilaginous fish such as sharks and rays. About how sharks reproduce. About Brown-banded Bamboo Shark eggs. You can see the baby sharks moving inside the eggs. The Brown-banded Bamboo Shark we saw earlier. A juvenile Brown-banded Bamboo Shark. It’s still small. Pot-bellied seahorse. Small but cool. The lighting is too blue, so it’s hard to see. It should be brown or yellow. Blue-spotted Stingray. A beautiful ray with blue spots. It has a poisonous tail fin. Beautiful coral reef. Colorful tanks. It says BROWN ALGAE. Let’s go to the next area. There are piranhas in the tank. Up ahead is an area called Rocky Shore. I’m excited to see what other creatures I’ll encounter. There’s a small frog on the surface of the water. A white’s tree frog? There’s also an electric eel. This fish generates powerful electricity, up to 860 volts. Apparently, a horse was electrocuted by an electric eel in the past. Despite its appearance, it’s a deadly fish. There are various explanations. There are separate restrooms for men and women along the way. To Rocky Shore. Looking at the monitor… it says there are brownbanded bamboo sharks. You can touch sharks for free. It’s a creepy-looking shark. It’s a small shark. Head to the next area, Night Creatures. A sea anemone. It has poisonous tentacles around its mouth. There’s a cafe along the way, as well as a smartphone charging station. Up ahead is Night Creatures. An Arabian oryx. Migratory birds. The UAE’s national tree, the Ghaf Tree. A leopard gecko. A small gecko. A salmon pink tarantula. This is a tarantula that lives in Brazil. An Arabian fat-tailed scorpion. A small scorpion. Bats. There are so many bats, it’s creepy. A panther chameleon. Unfortunately, I didn’t find one. Wooden suspension bridges. The small suspension bridges offer a bit of a thrill. There’s a parakeet. Is it the same one we saw in the rainforest area? Surprisingly aggressive. It looks like it might break down the door. A Dhuba Spiny-tailed Lizard. A pretty green? Maybe it just looks that way because of the green lighting. Ferrets. The ferres are sleeping. I couldn’t get a photo of the ferret moving. A green iguana. A vibrant green. Mysterious. On to the next area. The next area is the crocodile kingdom. An exhibit of prehistoric super crocodiles. What a big crocodile. An exhibit of slender-snouted crocodiles. An exhibit of Nile crocodiles. An exhibit of saltwater crocodiles. Looking down… Wow… there’s a crocodile. The crocodile is almost motionless. There’s an exhibit about sloths. Sloth sculptures. Let’s go see the crocodiles. The crocodile in the tank earlier was a saltwater crocodile. Crocodile eggs. A crocodile sculpture. You can see the saltwater crocodile from this aquarium panel. There are lots of scratches on the glass. The crocodile looks like a figurine. It’s almost motionless. It’s surreal. I wonder if the crocodiles will eat the small fish around them? The crocodile moved. It’s moving slowly. The crocodile is peeking out of the water. Saltwater crocodiles average 4 metres (13.1 feet) in length and weigh 450 kilograms. It’s a big crocodile. Next is the Seascape area. Fish with long mouths called Longspine snipefish. There are many different fish. This aquarium and underwater zoo is home to over 33,000 creatures from 300 species. Sergeant Major. Is it a moray eel? What an incredible pattern. The tanks around here seem to house a variety of fish, sea anemones, and coral reefs. A cool sea anemone. This is also a type of sea anemone. Jellyfish. The jellyfish in the aquarium are beautiful. I wouldn’t really want to encounter them in the ocean though. Beautiful. Artistic. There’s an ice cream shop. It looks like there are starfish. Starfish buried in the sand. They look almost dead. The last tank has sea turtles, catfish, rays and sharks. An iridescent shark catfish (Sutchi catfish). There’s a boutique at the exit of the aquarium. I wonder what kind of products they have? Stuffed penguins. Mugs and tumblers. Stuffed sharks. Caps with the Dubai Aquarium logo. Tumblers and mugs with the Dubai Aquarium logo. The average time spent visiting the Dubai Aquarium is said to be 1.5 to 2.5 hours. The Dubai Mall, where the aquarium is located, is full of noteworthy attractions. There’s a food court just outside the aquarium. There are plenty of fast-food restaurants and other casual eateries. Stopping by the food court after visiting the aquarium is also a great idea. By the way, Dubai Mall offers free high-speed Wi-Fi. Shopping after visiting the aquarium is also a great option. The Dubai Mall is one of the world’s largest shopping mall, with over 1,200 stores. There are several beautiful atriums. Almost all famous brand stores can be found here. Electronics and household goods stores. Even just browsing is a fun experience for shoppers. With so many shops, it would take half a day to explore them all. The mall is directly connected to the Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Station. There’s a Japanese bookstore, Kinokuniya Bookstore. Pharmacies and cosmetics. Sportswear shops. The mall is so large, it’s easy to get lost. There are several attractions within the mall, including an ice skating rink. It’s a large skating rink. Nearby is Chinatown. This area was created during expansion work and opened in March 2023. It ‘s decorated with vibrant lanterns and umbrellas. It offers shops selling traditional Asian crafts, restaurants, art galleries, and spas. There’s a Starbucks. Chinatown-themed tote bags. Coffee cups. Follow the directions. There’s a four-story waterfall. Its distinctive fiberglass sculpture of a diver symbolizes the UAE’s pearl-diving history. This area is Fashion Avenue, a luxury shopping district with over 200 high-end fashion brands. It’s a luxurious space filled with designer architecture and high-end stores. The gorgeous chandeliers make it a photogenic area. I’ve never taken a proper video of Dubai Mall, so I’d like to make one in the future. This is the first basement floor. There are many banks. There’s a Japanese MUJI store. There’s a Samsonite store. There’s also a Dubai goods store. Cool ornaments from the Museum of the Future. There’s a souvenir shop called Camel Company. The Dubai Mall has the entrance to the Burj Khalifa Observation Deck. If you have time, you should also visit the Burj Khalifa Observation Deck. I’ve previously posted a video of my visit. Depending on the ticket type, you can go to the 125th, 148th, or 154th floor. You can also see Dubai Mall from the observation deck. The Dubai Fountain show is also worth checking out. Afternoon Fountain Show: Saturday through Thursday, 1:00 PM and 1:30 PM. Friday, 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM. If you want to see the afternoon fountain show, it’s recommended that you check the show times in advance. From the Fountain Plaza, you can see the Burj Khalifa , the tallest building in the world. The night show is more beautiful than the afternoon show. The night show is held every day from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with a new performance every 30 minutes. The Burj Khalifa LED light show also takes place at the same time as the fountain show. It’s a beautiful fountain show. I also recommend watching the fountain show in conjunction with the aquarium. Thank you for watching.
Today we’re going to the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, located inside the Dubai Mall.

This is a reason to visit Dubai. Thank you.
