I walked through Samegai-juku, a post town on the Nakasendō in Shiga Prefecture, Japan.
Known for its Baikamo (water crowfoot) blooming in the Jizogawa River, this quiet village is filled with the gentle sound of clear spring water.
Old houses, stone bridges, and roadside statues reflect the timeless charm of Japan’s traditional post towns.
Each season reveals a new beauty — summer flowers, autumn leaves, and the peaceful stillness of winter.
