A day trip around Mt. Fuji! | Oishi Park, Lake Yamanaka, and Chureito Pagoda
Goodmorning!! It was like 6am here. and I’m not a morning person. (literally half asleep) Lip liner on the train is essential… I’m headed to Shinjuku Station, where I’ll meet my friend and get on the tour bus. It’s my friend Rebecca!! Now we’re headed about 2hrs away to Lake Kawaguchi. I took a lil nap, and woke up to these really pretty views My first glimpse of Mt. Fuji!! We also passed Fuji Q Amusement Park. “OMG We are here. (wind attacking me) At— I think this is Oishi Park. We are about to get hit. I think this is Oishi Park.” We walked to the side where it was less crowded. A little muddy but a great view! with less people! Over here were a few shops and cafes. I didn’t get any souvenirs here. We walked further down for more pictures. It was mid-March, so the flowers hadn’t bloomed 🙁 In June, you can see lavender fields here. Next, we stopped in this cafe. The bottom floor was crowded because people didn’t know they could come up here 🤭 This view!!! “Get this ice cream brand anytime you see it, get it.” A message from our guide… They brought us to a restaurant next to Lake Yamanaka. And the food was waiting for us! We were given time to split up and explore the area. “Fried chicken and some noodles for lunch. Oh, there’s a lot of people. Excuse me. Okay. We made it out. Let’s go get in the swan boats!” Look how cute! There were lots of ducks and swans out here. I think the rental was 2000 yen for 1 hour. (about $15 USD) “Okay. We’re picking up speed picking up speed. This is so fun! I love how we straight-up did not know what he was saying, and we were like ‘mm okay okay.'” It’s Mt. Fuji! (blocked by clouds) It was so peaceful 🥹 Some swans came to visit us. And then it was time to head back to the bus. The walk from the station to Chureito Pagoda was kinda long. Almost there… Do you hear this wind??? Time to climb 400 steps! (literally) We made it! The view up here was so pretty. This was the line to go on the bridge by the pagoda. We didn’t have time, so we hiked further up to this mostly empty spot! I took some of the best pictures I’ve ever taken up here. *running back to the bus* “We made it! Mt. Fuji tour complete. I’m so glad it’s done. (she meant we’re tired) But it was really nice. I’m really glad that we did it. Instead of just trying to like, go out on our own. Because that was stressing me out trying to plan that. Highly recommend the tour.”

My friend and I went on a bus tour around Mt Fuji!
This particular tour we booked on Headout.com, but you can find many similar ones on Klook too. It was also pretty cheap!
We got really lucky that the weather was so clear on this day, though the weather forecast said it would be partly cloudy. So I recommend still going if you’re unsure about the weather! The surrounding area will still be beautiful even if you can’t see Mt. Fuji very well.
thx for watching 🙂

I enjoyed your video; it was very entertaining. May I ask where you booked your Mt. Fuji tour? I will be in Tokyo in October 2024. Thank you in advance!
