【バングラデシュ🇧🇩ひとり旅】勝手に始まるガイドツアー!?ダッカのピンク宮殿でチップを要求される【Day2】
They said it was 100 BDT, and I thought it was okay, but then the guys around me said 100 is too expensive and that’s cheating! They interrupted me when I said the going rate was 50, and the driver got a little annoyed. Wherever you go in Bangladesh, the people are so lively, it’s amazing. Wow, it’s hot again today. আস্সালামু আলাইকুম (Bengali Islamic greeting) নমস্কার (Hindu greeting) This is miroku. It’s the morning of my second day in Bangladesh. Today I visited mosques, churches, and other religious facilities… Everyone greeted me from the morning, and it’s a really pleasant country. Uber is hard to catch, and even when I do, I can’t communicate so I can’t get a good ride. Horns were honking nonstop again today. I’ve come to a familiar temple, Shiva Temple, but is this all there is…? 。 English: There was definitely only this photo on Google Maps, but there doesn’t seem to be anything else there. And we can’t go inside because it’s surrounded by iron bars. But this town looks interesting, so let’s take a walk. It has a better local atmosphere than Old Dhaka from yesterday. It’s currently under construction, and there’s only a flimsy-looking wooden bridge. Look up. The electric wires are tangled, and quite a few are broken and hanging down, so it’s dangerous. Is this the reality of Bangladesh? It ‘s quite chaotic. Everything in front of me is whitish. Is it because of the air pollution? There’s not much of a smell. I have no idea what kind of shops these are. There are various shops, but they don’t seem to be selling anything. Oh, is this a jewelry store? Wow , there are lots of flies flying around. If I open my mouth, it looks like they’ll come in. Is this a place to pray? They’re ringing a bell. I can’t read it, but it’s probably a place where locals pray, so let’s not disturb them. What is this? I’ve ended up in a dark back alley. There are a lot of beer bags caught on the electric wires, so it feels a little dangerous. It smells a little bit here, and I like the local feel. There aren’t many shops to stop by, but just walking around is fun. Please join me on a walk around this local town for a while longer . There are also a lot of dogs lying around the area. It’s hot, so this kind of woven fabric is very… Ah, it’s so noisy , so noisy. My GPS isn’t working properly, and I’m lost. There seems to be something that tells me to go up ahead, so I think I ‘ll go and have a look. It was just a reservoir, so I skipped through the market and came out to what looks like a port. What is this? It doesn’t seem like the kind of place tourists would go, but let’s go and have a look since we’re here. I guess Japanese people are rare here. They’re calling out to people around them (lol). Oh, it looks like a luxury cruise ship is here too. Is it a port? There are a lot of big boats. It’s a river, not the sea. It seems to be the Buriganga River. Factory, medical, and household waste, as well as animal waste, are dumped into this river, making it one of the most polluted rivers in the country. I wonder if it’s something like a wholesale market. There are a lot of people here buying goods. I wonder if they take them to their shops from here . It’s so lively. Wherever you go in Bangladesh, the energy of the people is truly amazing. No one cares if there’s trash on the ground . Everyone is a mango shop, but they can’t make a profit like this, right? Oh, we couldn’t get through. No… The truck is too big and can’t get through the road. Now’s our chance, let’s go! It’s dangerous, we might bump into a few, but we have no choice but to keep going. Looking at the map, this is the place, but can we get through here? No, this isn’t a road. It’s the back entrance of a greengrocer’s. It’s so hot. Finally, we’ve arrived at the Pink Mosque. It seems to be 40 BDT per person. With this, I’ll buy my ticket. The counter is really low. I bought my ticket! It was 500 BDT. 40 BDT seems like the local price, which is a bit pricey, but this is our destination, so let’s go! Wow, what a beautiful pink color! Can you see it? I’m being guided through the museum. (This happens a lot when traveling abroad.) The guided tour starts without me asking for it . I’m sure they’ll ask for a guide fee later. Two hours later (I want to see the building soon!!) Oh, this is the Pink Mosque! It’s so beautiful! They recommended that I take a boat ride on the river, saying it would look better, so I’ll show you around. (I want to take photos by myself…) I got tired of refusing, so I lied and said I was flying back home right away. Well, it kind of felt like they were just guiding me around, but they asked for a tip, so I only gave them 100 BDT. I shouldn’t have refused at first, so that’s understandable. But they were kind enough to show me around, so I’ll call it a good experience . This is a place where you enjoy the exterior rather than the interior. The Pink Mosque was great. There’s another beautiful mosque after this, so I’m heading there now. I’m checking with the rickshaw driver ! ! ? ? ? ? ? ? ? [Solo travel experiences] I don’t really understand, but I say OK I can’t communicate well and end up talking about something unrelated When I was in trouble, a passerby came to help me, thank you I guess, but it seems he can’t make it to his destination A new character, “Raf,” appears! However, he just introduces himself and leaves The conversation doesn’t progress at all, but people gather around to help him, and he’s kind Finally, I found a driver who I could understand The fare was 100 BDT, but he seemed a little annoyed when the locals around him interrupted him, saying, “100 is too expensive, it’s cheating” If you pay a price you’re happy with, I don’t think it’s a rip-off There seems to be no limit on the number of people in a rickshaw, so you can ride alone, with two people, with four people, or next to the driver – you’re free to do whatever you want Wait … are there pirates? This is the Star Mosque. We take off our shoes and go inside. I’m standing in front of the building now, but there’s something like a tent set up so we can’t see anything. It’s a very beautiful decoration (this is what it looks like on Google Maps). It ‘s a white mosque with a design dotted with blue stars, but I think it’s currently undergoing repairs. The tent set up meant we couldn’t see, which is a shame. It looks like this, and the pattern is quite cute. It seems like they clean it every day, and the floor is very clean, so it’s no problem to take your shoes off. It ‘s nice that a mosque suddenly appears in the middle of the city like this, as it shows that this is a country that values religion. The grounds here are very quiet and cozy, away from the usual hustle and bustle. The distant call of the adhan is also lovely. Wow, so this is how they make it. Sultan’s Dine is a restaurant my taxi driver recommended on my first day. I couldn’t hear him, but I managed to find it by chance. The air conditioning was on and cool inside, which was already amazing. Another mountain of rice was brought out, but unlike yesterday, there was a mountain of meat, which looked delicious. I also ordered some chicken, which also looked delicious . Apparently, kacchi-style cooking involves cooking raw meat with rice, allowing the meat’s flavor to soak in well. Apparently, kacchi-style cooking is more common in Bangladesh . Delicious! The bones are broken up before being added, so there are occasional bone fragments. Wow, this chicken looks delicious. The meat is tender, and the sauce oozes a lot of oil, which is great. I thought it would be spicy, but it wasn’t at all. It was like a rich chicken version of beef stew . It was a feast. I highly recommend this restaurant. Sultan’s Dine Recommendation: ★★★★☆ It looks like it’s about to rain, so let’s go back to the hotel and take a break. We couldn’t get an Uber here either, so we looked for a rickshaw driver again . We got a ride in a human-powered rickshaw, not an electric one. The roads are unpaved, so it’s very shaky. My butt hurts. It took quite a while to get here by human-powered bicycle, but it only cost 150 BDT, which is quite cheap, about half the price of Uber. It’s getting quite dark, so let’s go for dinner. The scenery remains the same, morning and night. The population density is extremely high. Horns are still honking, and the roads are chaotic. Should I look for something at this stall? There are so many options, I can’t decide what to get. I’ll buy chai from this shop. It’s 15 BDT, which is cheap. I sit down in a chair and wait for the chai to be ready. I heard it wrong, it was 50 BDT (still cheap). They’re making it now. I wonder if they’re stirring it in a hot pot? Finally, they put it in a terracotta cup and wrap it in paper to keep my hands cool. Oh , that wasn’t mine. I got the chai from the stall, 50 BDT. It’s pretty hot. I have to wait a moment , I have to let it sit for a while. It’s too hot. This is the real chai. Let’s eat. Wow, it’s sweet! It’s my first time drinking chai, and it’s so sweet . They fry chicken on the spot . It’s here, it looks incredibly delicious. It comes with something called chicken chaap, which is like fried bread. Let’s eat. I guess I have to eat this with my hands. It’s a little different from the usual paratha. It’s like a sweet chili, a little sour, and spicy sauce, and it’s delicious. Let’s try the chicken, too! It looks so delicious! It’s so tender it almost melts in your mouth! It ‘s quite spicy and delicious. After eating, I’m surrounded by kids. An older man from the restaurant comes over to warn them . It’s hot! It’s freshly fried chicken, so it’s quite hard to eat with your hands. It was 140 BDT and very delicious. I also bought a water on the way back, which was 20 BDT . It was quite spicy and delicious. Wow, this is the only place like Electrical Parade. Oh, I was curious about that BFC over there . Let’s go! It’s Best Fried Chicken. Apparently there are a lot of fried chicken restaurants around the world. We arrived at BFC, and this is Best Fried Chicken. The place is incredibly crowded. I wonder if there are seats? Two pieces of fried chicken are a little warm, but that’s fine. I ordered masala fries. It looks so delicious, they might be freshly fried. I ordered a 7UP and a Frappuccino for dessert. I think all of this was about 700 BDT. That’s cheap. Is Bangladeshi fried chicken good? The meat was quite juicy and delicious. The coating was super crispy and delicious. I’m also curious about these masala potatoes. Are they masala flavored? They’re super spicy and addictively delicious . There’s ice in the drinks, which is unusual. They’re cold and delicious. In Bangladesh, people eat with their hands, so most restaurants have hand-washing stations, which is a blessing. BFC was great, and the potatoes were especially good. Best Fried Chicken Recommendation Level: ★★★☆☆ I wonder if they sell those potatoes in Japan too. Looking for an after-meal dessert , I bought some from this shop, the name of which I don’t know. What is this? It’s like a deep-fried donut soaked in syrup. It looks really sweet. The man also said it was quite sweet. It’s like a dessert . It’s surprisingly chewy and delicious, but the moment you bite into it, the syrup oozes out and is incredibly sweet. It’s like edible syrup. I recommend it to anyone who loves delicious sweets. I also found a coffee shop while walking earlier. I don’t know the name, I think it’s called Waffles. The people who greet strangers are kind and nice. It has a pretty stylish feel. What is this? Something that looks like a watermelon Baily Waffle & Juice Bar Although it’s called a bar, there are only chairs. I thought I asked if they had cold coffee, but they brought out some kind of mysterious juice. Oh well, it’s 50. Let’s have some. It’s super salty. What is this? It has salt in it… Well, first of all it’s warm and probably lemon juice, but it has a lot of salt in it. Mmm, it’s salty. Oh well, I’ll drink this and head back to the hotel. It really is salty. I enjoyed Dhaka’s chaotic night again today. I received a lot of energy from the people of Dhaka, it was fun. Tomorrow morning I’ll take the local bus to an abandoned town that is said to have once been inhabited by Hindus. An abandoned town is so exciting, look forward to tomorrow too. Well then, everyone. খোদাহা ফেজ (Goodbye). Every day is tough as the hotel only has cold showers 😅 I’m lost again today looking for the local bus stop . My life is in the hands of an old man going the wrong way, and my destination is… the now abandoned Panam City. Please like, comment, and subscribe!
