We LOVE Indonesia’s PANORAMIC Train 🇮🇩 Bandung to Yogyakarta Argo Wilis

And my head is touching the ceiling. It’s hot chocolate. Woah. It felt like you was floating. Yeah, literally for sure the left side has the best views. Hello, welcome back to our channel and today we have got up early because we are heading over to Yogya or Jogja Anyway, Yogyakarta. Yeah, Yogyakarta. And we are going to be taking the panoramic train. So, we’re up nice and early and we’re currently heading over to the train station. Just ordered our grab. It’s only £1. I mean, to be honest, we’re not that far, but £1. That’s all. Yeah. I’m hoping it’s a lot warmer in jogja because it’s quite cold. I wasn’t expecting it to be this cold. It’s not been cold in the whole of Asia. I’ve not had to put on my jumper for the whole of Indonesia so far. Why is it cold in badung? Hello. It’s all right. I’ll sort it out. There you go. Yeah. You go. You got it. Yeah. Hello. Yes, please. Hello. Hello. Right. I don’t think we’re far. I think we’re like down the road. Yeah. I’m excited. I think this is one of the earliest starts we’ve done to our trip. I haven’t been up at this time in ages. I know. I’m struggling. It’s so busy already as well. Like half 5 in the morning and the roads are full with motorcyclists and cars. People going to work. Thank you. See you. Get out this side. Let’s go. Oh, let’s go. This one is yours. Thank you, sir. Okay. Yes, please. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. We go. Uh, my friend. Uh, yeah. Yes. Oh, yeah. Jogja. Yogyakarta. Yeah. The panoramic train. Theyre carrying our bags. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think we should take our bags so we can get food and stuff. Uh, yeah. So, oh, we’ve got um these tickets. Oh, yeah. Do I need to still get That’s okay. It’s okay. So, we’ve got a few helpers. Everyone’s so helpful here. I mean, I am very hungry. There’s lots of food courts around and I’m worried if we go through we won’t have food inside. So, I think let’s get food out here before we go through. Yes. Oh, okay. So, we have to print our tickets. Thank you. Thank you. It’s okay. We’ll take We’ll take because we’re going to get food. We’re going to get some food. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Oh, well, that was easy, wasn’t it? Yep. Can you hold this? So, oh, is it ready now? What time does it leave? What time does it leave? Okay, maybe we should go. Okay. Okay. Thank you. Thank you. Okay. So, we’re going to have to grab something very quickly cuz apparently the train is ready. Yeah, we’ve got a beard panda here on our right. Indomaret. Yeah, there’s loads. There’s also an Indomaret. I might just get something from Indomaret. Don’t want to miss our train though either. No, 100%. Hello. What you want? They’ve got um like croissants and stuff here. Yeah, I might just get this. Cool. You got what you want. I’m going to get I’m going to get a donut. Always. Yeah. I’m actually going to get this one. I might get one of those NesCafe things. Yes. I’ve been drinking so many of these these things. I know these are not good for you, but I really need one this morning. I’m so tired. Hence why I got a coffee. Okay. Okay. Uh yes, please. Okay. Yeah, we probably should. Yeah, the guys kind of panicked me a little bit. They said the train’s already here. It’s not supposed to leave for like another hour. Yeah, but it does recommend you to get here an hour early. Okay, that’s probably why because then you can get settled on. Hello. Where do we go? Platform number three. Three. Okay. Thank you. Thank you. Oh, yeah. It says up here a platform on the board. It literally It literally says we’re just We just didn’t look. Yeah, we’re panic panicking cuz we’re like, Oh, there’s I don’t know. It’s just early in the morning. We’re not We’re not ready. We’re not there yet. So, once you do go through the gates, there is food on the other side. So, don’t panic about that either. I was very worried that once we gone through, and this is a long train, so it’s going to take about 6 and 1/2 hours to get to jogja. Also, we’ve picked um we’ve picked the executive something. The executive suite. No, I don’t know what it’s called. It’s put under that. And I’m hoping it’s the panoramic carriage with like all the windows and everything. It’s meant to be like the best carriage for like the panoramic views if I’m explaining it. Um so I’m hoping that’s what we’ve got.  and yeah, we’ve got that for 6 hours which is going to be awesome and I can’t wait. I’m hoping we can see some awesome views and hope it’s comfy as well. Yeah, 100%. We’ll let you know how it is if any of you have got it before. Then comment below cuz we’d love to know how many of you Indonesian people actually get this trade and this exact carriage as well because there’s only one carriage on the whole train. Go seven this way. One thing, I actually can’t see any trains on the track. So, I swear if these people have rushed us over here. And oh no, there’s one pulling up now. Over here. Hall. [Music] Yes. I was worried. I wasn’t sure if we actually had booked the right one. Let’s go. Sorry, sir. Okay. So you can So you drop off your bags. Uh 8A and should be 8B. Oh 8. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Sorry. Okay. Is there anything you want to put in the luggage please? This train looks really cool. Yeah, it does actually. Okay. Thank you. Through here. Three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Oh, here. So, Need one of these to wake me up. Every video now, I’ve had a donut, which is um it doesn’t look great for me. Okay, and my waffle and a bottle of water. Bottle of water. Hydration. We’ve got ourselves Another footrest. Oh. Does it go like that? Yeah. I believe so. Go further. Oh, yeah. Nice. But it doesn’t stick. And look at the leg room that we’ve got as well. Like Oh, no. Look. So much. You can’t even touch the floor. This also goes back. But I mean, there’s no one behind us. Wait. Actually, I’m going to put it back up. And we’ve also got little windows up here, which is pretty awesome. Trying to see if it has Oh, it does have the tray in here again. We don’t need to get that out yet. Um, it’s also got a plug socket in case you need to charge your phone. And at the front of the train, we’ve got a massive flat screen TV. So, if you want to sit back, enjoy some television, then you can. Look at the windows. Look how big that window is. And this window is all up in the ceiling. Got like a marble effect design all around the interior of the train, which looks really cool. And it also looks very similar to the bullet train we caught the other day. Yeah. Um the same sort of system with the seats, the trays in the armrest, and just a similar sort of style. So I’m guessing all the Indonesian trains look very similar. I not too hungry.I struggle to eat in the morning. I’m never too hungry in the morning. I really struggle with breakfast as well. So, I’m probably going to save this for a little bit later. So far, though, seats are really comfy, aren’t they? Very similar. They’re quite like firm seats, and it’s very similar to like we said, the woosh train. Yeah. And we’re going to put up on the screen now the price difference between the bullet train and the panoramic train. And I’m also going to be excited to see how full this carriage gets because it is only one carriage for the whole train. And obviously there’s a price increase for the windows and stuff like that. So it’ be interesting to see if this carriage does get full. I go have a little look around. See if I can find the toilets. Are they through here? Oh, they are. Here we go. Yeah. So, we have got a lovely slidy door which ah there we go. That’s how you lock it. We have got a sit down toilet here. A urinal soap dispenser. A bidet. A trusty bidet. We always need one of these. Let’s see how it flushes. Sweet. tissues, a sink, and a big mirror. One thing I love about this whole train, which I said earlier, was this marble effect all the way around the interior. It gives the train a really sleek finish, which I really like. The only thing about this toilet is actually I’m 6’4 and my head is touching the ceiling, so I will have to be crouching down to come into the toilet. So, if you’re tall like me, then you may struggle. Hello. Hello. Let’s have a little look around. Yeah. So, the toilets are in there. I think there’s a few kids using the toilets right now, so you have to wait a little minute. So far, the train carriage is pretty full. I think that it probably will have a few seats empty. Um, so it seems like a popular choice for a lot of people here. And as I said earlier, if you have used this carriage before or you plan on using this carriage, please comment below and let us know because I’d love to know how many of you Indonesian people are using this carriage. So, the train has started moving. I’m excited to see how this train feels as we go and like the speeds it reaches as well. Obviously, we’re on here for 6 and 1/2 hours, so I’m sure that it’s not going to be as fast as the bullet train, but it should reach some decent speeds. One thing that I’ve noticed already is it’s very noisy here in this carriage. I don’t know if it’s just today or if it’s like this usually. The train is definitely a lot rockier than the bullet train that we took. The bullet train was very smooth. we barely felt like he was moving. This train’s quite rocky. I don’t know if you can tell by the water. It’s quite like it like keeps jolting around not too bad like nothing crazy, but it’s just something Ive noticed. They’ve also got this like radio on and I’m hoping that will stop at some point because since we’ve left  it started. Oh, it stopped. Okay, it’s not too bad. You didn’t know if it was going to go on. Yeah. But we did. So we specifically chose the these seats because we were recommended to sit on the left hand side because apparently that is where the best views are. Correct me if I’m wrong. I’m hoping. But also the weather is quite cloudy outside. So I don’t know if we’re going to be able to see much or if it’s going to affect any views. Hopefully not. But apparently this is the side to sit on. Also, you can actually shut the curtains of all the windows on the train. Not that we’re going to do that because we paid specifically to look out of these windows. And I’m sure that a lot a lot of people do that. But because the train’s so long, eventually you might want to get some sleep or something like that. So, look at the views already. What do you want? I feel like this train is definitely a brilliant way to get a whole like view scenery of the whole country in only a short amount of time. There’s probably no other way to experience this much of Indonesia in 6 hours. Wow, these are incredible. It’s hit my knee. Thank you, Thanks. Thanks, you got a little box. The box is pretty cool, isn’t it? Yeah. XXL cafe. Let’s see what we got. Oh, wow. I didn’t know we was even going to get food on this train. It makes sense, though, for it being such a long journey. Yeah. What have we got then? Okay. This is really cute. Wow. Oh, this. It looks very awesome. Look at this. Looks very bougie, doesn’t it? So, what we’ve got I’m trying to open this box, but I don’t I try not to ruin it too much. got fancy popcorn. It’s the most fanciest thing I’ve ever said. You can just sit there, have your popcorn, look out at the views. I love it. What kind of popcorn? I wonder what flavour. It looks sweet. Yeah, it looks like a caramel or something. Yeah, that looks nice. And then This is like some sort of cake. Oh, it says in the back cinnamon roll. Looks nice. And then we’ve also got this. It’s like um it’s got sugar. It’s like a dry bread. Bagelan. Bagelan. Bagelan. That’s awesome. Let’s try the popcorn. Okay. Do you want to share one? I don’t know. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So, what flavor have we got? Is it sweet? M. I’m not a big fan of cinnamon, so let’s see how this is. If I like it, then it must be good. Oh, wow. Oh, it looks really fluffy in there. Yeah, that looks really good. It’s spongy. Okay. [Music] Very nice. And it’s light. Yeah, it’s actually really good. I would recommend. It’s got like loads of like crystallized sugar. No. I wouldn’t get this again. No, it’s nothing special. It’s like a dried bread with like a salty sugary flavor. It’s quite nice though. This is really cute. I’ll show you the views that we’ve got so far. They’re handing out drinks. Um there’s water and coconut water, which is also awesome. Yeah, I know. We actually brought some water with us just in case, but we didn’t need to because you get some on the train. We didn’t realize that we wouldn’t be getting all of this to be honest. Yeah, this is a This is really good. I purely thought we had just paid for the views, like for the the carriage itself and the and the windows and stuff, but you’ve actually paid for also a little snack. Can’t lie, me and Brad love this. The best drink. So good. The best drink ever. No, wait. Hang on. I need to show you this fast. Yeah, that it’s generally beautiful as well. Really good. I love this drink. I’ve had this like nearly every morning on our trip. So, I’m also going to save this for a little bit later as well. You got to remember we’ve got 6 hours. Yeah. Don’t eat it all at once. I’ve almost finished my whole box. So, yeah. I’m not surprised. One thing that I would say already is having a look on the left side and the right side. I can’t say that either side has better views so far. Both of them are pretty good. So, we’ll keep you updated to see if left side is actually the best. Want some? Yes, please. Oh, you took one piece. Come on, dig in. Thing is, I only like salted popcorn. Yeah, I am a big salt fan. So, but I can eat these. They’re still nice. It’s got like a burnt taste to it. So, so far we’ve seen rice patty fields, mountains, mountains. Come on. We also saw some sort of we saw workers out at work on the farms, which was pretty cool. Um, these train tracks, the train, not the train tracks, but well, the train tracks and the train go right through the middle of villages and people’s houses. So people live literally right on the train tracks which is quite crazy. Yeah. And I bet very loud. Yeah. 100%. Oh wow. Is it free? Yeah. Free. Free. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. We’ll get lunch later. Wow. So you also This snack box is must just be like a starter and then you get offered a hot drink. So coffee, hot chocolate, any hot drink that you would like. and also lunch which we’re going to get served a bit later. Be fat right into us. Keep going. Now, the service on this train has been brilliant. Some of the best views of Indonesia that we’ve seen uh on this train. They got Wi-Fi on this train. Wi-Fi, food, drinks, scenes. Generally, it’s such a beautiful view. I love it. I generally I think we definitely got the best seats, but the best side. One of the seats that I’ve noticed that I would recommend is right at the front here on the left side because there’s no one in front of you and then you have the whole window to yourself. So, at the minute, we share this window with the people in front of us. So if we decided to close it or they decided to close it for whatever reason, for whatever reason, whereas the front seats, you have much more leg room and the whole window to yourself. So if you are booking this train, book the front seats on the left side. The front literally has a whole area you can dance in if you wanted to. Yeah, literally there’s people just chilling, stood up, kids running around playing. So, we’re currently going over [Music] like it felt like you was floating. Yeah, literally for sure. The left side has the best views. Yeah, I agree. So, basically the person walking like a tour guy. I don’t know. He’s basically telling us to see what’s up. That’s pretty cool. Basically telling us all to look out the window. Go on the road. Got ourselves our hot chocolate. This is warm. Yeah, it’s hot coffee. No, it’s hot chocolate. I like how it fits in this little. So, I was worried about it um sliding off the what’s it called? Table. And now, wow, I can’t lie, the rice fields are so green. And I think it’s because of all the rain and things they’ve had recently, but it’s generally vibrant. It’s vibrant green. Green. Oh, it’s so colorful. So, the train has made a little quick stop. I don’t know how many stops there are going to be before we get to Yoga, but um people are hopping off taking photos. It’s really pretty around here. Like there’s mountains and lots of scenery. I don’t actually know where this is. There’s also a little they had a photo. They had like a curve painted as a train which is very cool. Thank you. Here you go. We got food. Oh wow. Okay. So we have got some fried chicken wings. Wings. We have got It’s very hard to show you. We have got some rice and some veggies. Veggies. Awesome. And is that a knife and fork there? Yeah. Oh, it’s wooden. And we’ve got a pot of uh uh uh sweet chili sauce. What’s this? I don’t know what’s in this. It’s hot. It’s very hot. This is good. This is really good. Especially because we wasn’t expecting food at all. And there’s actually hot food. I am hungry. So, I don’t actually know what this is. So, I’m going to quickly take a mouthful and then I’ll let you know. Oh, chicken. Is it chicken? Yeah, more chicken. I mean, there’s some fried chicken without the bone. [Music] Or is it fish? Yeah, I think it’s fish. Yeah, it’s it’s really good though. [Music] I was hoping they have they would have a napkin, but they don’t. [Music] Let me show you our plate. So, here we go. It come in a little selection. So, you got your veggies, your chicken, fish. I think it’s probably fish and rice. Rice. So much rice as well. Oh, there we go. And your sweet chili sauce. We are here. They actually moved all of our bags to the front so we don’t have to go back there and get our bags, which is pretty sweet. We can just grab them on the way out. We’re just waiting for everyone to get off so then we can hop up and get out. Yeah. So we’re not stuck hanging ever. That went really quick to be honest. Yeah, it did. For a 6 to 8 hour journey, I think it was like 6 and 1/2 hours. Yeah, it was really fast. And it just flew by. I think it was all the views and stuff like that that just made time go fast. So, and the food as well. Should we hop up or You got a quick sleep, didn’t you? I did get a quick sleep. All the food as well. I felt like we had food nearly like every hour of our trip. Yeah, it felt like that anyway. There was so much food. I haven’t even finished all of it. And I’ve still got loads of drinks as well. Right. [Music] It’s hot. It’s so loud. I have to quickly just go. All good. All good. Thank you. Thank you. [Music] Exit. Exit. Oh, first. Oh, thank you. Thank you. That’s so strange. Like you go through a train to the exit for another train. Oh, that’s right. Well, that was pretty awesome, wasn’t it? That was really cool. Let’s go over here where it’s a bit quieter and then we can talk. Okay. Okay. So, we have just made it outside the train station. It was so noisy and so busy in there. So, we’ve just stepped outside. view thoughts on that train journey. Do you want to go first? Um, it was it was actually really nice. It was because it was 6 hours. Everything felt worth it. You had so much like snacks and food, loads of drinks. Um, I definitely recommend doing it. The views were generally insane. Yeah, some of the best views in Indonesia. So you get to see things like rice fields, go through local villages, um you go over bridges, through tunnels, and even if you get clear skies, you can see volcanoes on this trip. So absolutely worth the money. The train itself was a bit bumpy and rocky, which you would get from any train. It’s just a normal train. Yeah. Yeah. And in the carriage that we had, it was a little bit noisy, so you will struggle to get some sleep or anything like that. Some of the best times to get this train is early in the morning for the best views, which is what we did. We got the seven 7 o’ Yeah. Yeah. Jesus Christ. Still loud out here. But yeah, thank you for watching, guys. I hope you enjoyed this video. Please hit that subscribe button and comment below. See you next time. Bye.
