兵庫県宍粟市観光|道の駅と波賀城跡をS660でドライブ【ご当地グルメも】
Today, I’m driving my Honda S660. Right now, I’m on the Chugoku Expressway. I’m heading west on the Chugoku Expressway. I’ve already finished touring all the Michi-no-Eki in the Kinki region. I’ve visited every single Michi-no-Eki in Kinki. Today, I’m heading to the very first Michi-no-Eki I ever visited. I plan to stop at the Michi-no-Eki and do some sightseeing around the area. I want to enjoy a Michi-no-Eki in a different way than usual. The Michi-no-Eki I’m going to today is— when I first started touring Michi-no-Eki, it was the very first one I went to. I started with the first Michi-no-Eki ever built in the Kinki region. It’s a Michi-no-Eki located in Shiso City, Hyogo Prefecture. It’s called “Haga.” That’s where I began my journey. Actually, the very first one I visited was Harima Ichinomiya… I started with Harima Ichinomiya, then went to Minami Haga and Haga. After that, Chikusa… That’s how I traveled from one Michi-no-Eki to another. In the early days of my Michi-no-Eki trips, I didn’t think too much about it— I just filmed with a camera. At first, I used an action camera. I toured the Michi-no-Eki while filming with the action camera. I thought about making a compilation video… because I wanted footage that captured the atmosphere of each Michi-no-Eki. That’s also why I’m heading to the Michi-no-Eki in Shiso City. The forecast says it should clear up from noon today. I’ll be happy if the weather improves. I’m hoping for better weather as I drive ahead. Let’s keep going down the road. I’m heading toward Shiso City, planning to visit Michi-no-Eki Harima Ichinomiya. I’ll exit the expressway at the Yamasaki Interchange. The forecast said there wouldn’t be any rain today… but unfortunately, it started raining. Just my luck. Today, for the first time in a while, I’m driving alone without my wife. Maybe that’s why it’s raining. Anyway, I’ll exit at Yamasaki Interchange. From here, I’ll be driving on local roads. It’s been a while. I’m driving through Shiso City now. Recently, I’ve been going on drives almost always together with my wife. So it feels like a long time since I last drove the S660 alone. I’m a “rain man,” while my wife is a “sunny woman.” Whenever she’s not around, it ends up raining. The forecast said it would just be cloudy today— and even showed a sunny mark for the afternoon. But it’s raining. Right now, I’m driving on Route 29. Along Route 29, there are several Michi-no-Eki lined up one after another. Since it’s been a while since I drove here, I checked Google Mapple… Wait, not Google Mapple—Google Maps. I looked up this road on Google Maps. If you keep going straight, you can reach Tottori. There are also about two Michi-no-Eki along the national road in Tottori. At least, from what I checked… I think there are about five Michi-no-Eki within an hour and a half from here. There’s a factory for Ibonoito noodles here. They make really delicious somen. The mountains are covered with thick clouds. I forgot to bring an umbrella… As I head north, the rain is getting heavier. I really don’t want this car to get wet. I usually park it under a cover. When it’s wet, I can’t put the cover on. The rain is pouring down now. You’ve got to be kidding me… It keeps switching between sunny and rainy— such unstable weather. Thank you so much for always watching this channel. At last, the channel has reached 1,000 subscribers. It’s all thanks to everyone who watches regularly. This feels like a big milestone for me. I’ll keep going at my own pace, posting more drive videos and Michi-no-Eki trips with my S660. I’ll keep sharing them with you. I’d be really happy if you continue supporting me. Wow, look at those amazing clouds over the mountains. We’re almost at Michi-no-Eki Harima Ichinomiya. You can see it on the right side. There’s a drive-in. This drive-in— you could say it’s like a Michi-no-Eki nowadays. I wonder how many years it’s been since I last visited Harima Ichinomiya… Probably about two years. I think the last time I came was in 2023. Now I’ve entered Ichinomiya Town in Shiso City. On the left side, I can see the Ibo River. For my drive series videos, I personally like driving on roads like this. The scenery, the shots, and the driving experience—I love them all. Just as I arrived at the Michi-no-Eki, the weather cleared up. That’s a relief. This is Michi-no-Eki Harima Ichinomiya. It’s about 1 km from here. On the left side is the Iwa Shrine. Once you see the forest of the shrine, the Michi-no-Eki is very close. It would be nice if there were parking on the left side… But there isn’t any parking on the left. You’ll have to turn in on the right side. I didn’t buy anything at Michi-no-Eki Harima Ichinomiya. In part of the video, there was a sign showing— half a melon topped with soft serve ice cream. They were selling melon with soft serve, but I gave up since I couldn’t finish it alone. Since Shiso is close to Tottori, lots of pears were being sold. Things like pears and Shine Muscat grapes. In front of the Michi-no-Eki is the Iwa Shrine. I visited there to pray the last time I came. From here, I’ll continue north on Route 29. Next, I’ll head to a sightseeing spot in Shiso City. They were selling pears at the Michi-no-Eki, but they were separated between the JA store and the Michi-no-Eki shop. The pears sold at the Michi-no-Eki were more for gifts. They were neatly packaged and very large in size. The price was also a bit higher. In comparison, the JA pears were more reasonably priced. So I thought JA was better if you’re buying for home use. They were also selling prepared foods at JA. It felt easier to shop at JA overall. At the Michi-no-Eki, they had local sake and specialty products— perfect if you want to buy souvenirs. From here, I’m entering Haga Town in Shiso City. In April 2005, Shiso City was formed by merging four towns. Looking at the pears made me want to buy some. Maybe it doesn’t matter where you buy them, though… But if I were to buy pears, I’d like to go all the way to Tottori. If you keep driving along while touring Michi-no-Eki, you’ll reach Michi-no-Eki Minami Haga. I think the Michi-no-Eki should come into view soon. Maybe I should stop by Minami Haga too… Yeah, let’s stop for a bit. I just visited Michi-no-Eki Minami Haga. Next, I’ll head to a sightseeing spot. But before that, I’ll fill my stomach. Shiso is famous for apples since it has apple orchards. So I bought an apple pie cream puff and an apple cookie cream puff. Let’s try them. The crispy pie crust with the smooth cream and the apple aroma—it’s a perfect match. This cream puff is definitely delicious. Next, let’s try the cookie cream puff. Both are really good. Now I feel energized for sightseeing and exploring. Alright, let’s head to a sightseeing spot. Let’s go. I’m leaving Route 29. I’ve left Michi-no-Eki Minami Haga behind. Around here… Am I really supposed to go into such a narrow road? There are plenty of guide signs for sightseeing, so I know the way. That startled me. I’m heading toward the Haga Castle Ruins. Ah, it’s starting to rain. Once you go into the mountains, it always seems to rain. So this is the parking area. Here’s the site park guide map. It says the Haga Castle Ruins are about 200 meters from here. It doesn’t look like you have to walk that far, though. But since you’ll be walking up the mountain, I’m a bit worried about bears. That’s all, really. You do need to walk a little, but the view is so beautiful that it’s worth stopping by if you’re in the area. Just note the path isn’t paved, so sneakers are recommended. Now I’m heading back the way I came. This road isn’t all that narrow, but there aren’t any mirrors on the curves. So it’s best to drive slowly and carefully. I’ve returned to an area with houses. I’m back on Route 29. That Haga Castle Historic Park— the scenery was beautiful, and no one was there. It’s really a hidden gem of a sightseeing spot. There’s one more thing I wanted to do today. Next is Michi-no-Eki Haga. At Michi-no-Eki Haga, you can eat a dish called Kijishi-meshi. I really wanted to try Kijishi-meshi. That was one of my goals for today, but honestly, I’m not that hungry right now… Up ahead, the Michi-no-Eki in Tottori… There are two of them right now… Maybe I should go as well. I was thinking I’d decide depending on the time. But the restaurant only serves Kijishi-meshi on holidays, so I couldn’t eat it this time.
