and he created over 250 works in this series. It really does look similar! The best season to visit is from May to August, or during the autumn foliage. A fish! I could watch them forever. That one’s huge! She found something — a frog Nemichi Shrine Since we’re here, we’ll stop by this cute little shrine to pray. Before I know it, I always find myself wishing for my family’s happiness… “Where are you praying?” I feel like I’ve been recharged by nature’s energy. My daughter really loves offering coins at shrines. I wonder what she’s wishing for? “Careful, don’t trip!” Let’s take one last look at the pond before heading to Gifu City. If you come here for sightseeing, it’s best to arrive on a weekday before 9:00 AM — the water is clearer and there are fewer people. By noon, the koi get more active as the water warms up, making it a bit murkier. It feels like a Studio Ghibli world — so peaceful. Looks like you can grab a light snack and take a break here. There are clean restrooms too. Now let’s go into Gifu City for lunch! Merry Badge A hamburger steak restaurant using Mino Kenton pork. Hope we don’t have to wait too long! Looks like we don’t even need forks or spoons anymore — why’s that? Mark your choices: size, type of hamburger, toppings, drink, and rice portion. “Your hamburger will be ready in about 10 minutes.” Let’s enjoy the appetizer while we wait. Even the appetizer looks amazing. Smells like curry! Sharing rice with my daughter. Single Hamburger Steak – ¥1,760(11.5USD) Cheddar Cheese–Filled Hamburger Steak with Croquette That melted cheese looks amazing! Four-Cheese Stuffed Hamburger Steak — with extra cheese! Looks so good— let’s eat while it’s hot! This homemade mustard… …goes perfectly with the juicy hamburger fat — so good! Including the appetizer, it’s quite a filling meal, but— —I finished it all easily! Dessert is sweet red bean soup with cream. That was delicious — thank you for the meal! Wow, Gifu Castle is really up on a mountain like this! Gifu Park parking lot — 310 yen(2USD) Alright, let’s head to Gifu Castle! Oh, that’s not a fountain — it’s just watering the grass. (Too cute!) Did you think it was for playing in the water? Even a sprinkler feels like water play to kids. It’s nice seeing that pure innocence. We’re taking the ropeway up to Gifu Castle. As you can see… we’re already exhausted. It runs every 15 minutes. It was hot and kinda smelly in there. Hey, don’t say that! If you’re riding in summer — just be prepared, haha. There’s more walking than I expected. I’m definitely gonna be sore tomorrow. Whoa, that’s amazing. I’m so tired… It’s a bit cloudy, but the view’s still great. Alright, time to finally head into Gifu Castle! Gifu Castle. Here at Gifu Castle If it won’t cry …then ⚪︎ it. Cuckoo The place Oda Nobunaga used as his base and foothold for unifying the nation Gifu Castle was once called “Inabayama Castle” It was the stronghold of the Sengoku daimyo, Saitō Dōsan.
