English: Trip&train Travel and Railway Channel D51-498 Orient Express Orient Express 88 EF58-61 Hello, this is the Travel and Railway Channel This time I would like to make a tree The layout I am currently working on is set in autumn, so I would like to introduce various types such as maple yellow, orange, red, and some mottled colors, and various ways of making them So let’s get started right away For the base tree trunk I will be using a hardwood trunk from KATO By the way, KATO, the same manufacturer, also sells coniferous tree trunks, but since I am sticking to maple this time I will be using only hardwood trunks for the video So first I will cut off the runners and twist them to shape the tree I think it would be good to bend them in a fairly radial pattern, so that when viewed from above it forms a circle Personally I like tall, slender trees so I try not to spread the upper branches and leaves out too much, but on the other hand, such long trees do of course exist in nature, so in those cases I will spread them out quite a bit at this stage in advance For now, I’ve got the nine pieces shaped, so next I’m going to apply diorama glue. When you start applying it, it will turn white liquid, but at this stage it has almost no adhesive strength. As it says in the instructions, if you wait for about 15 minutes, this white will turn transparent. Once it reaches this state, the adhesive strength will increase. Next, I’m going to attach the leaves. I ‘m using KATO’s Japanese Maple Large Plant Wood Saw. I think it’s best to break this material into small pieces that you can tear off with your fingertips, rather than using a blade like scissors or a cutter. After that, if you just lay it like this it’s almost finished, but if you leave it like this the leaves will fall off, so I’ll finish it by spraying a water-based wood glue solution. This does not directly involve the trunk and leaves, but the idea is to maintain the overall shape by creating a horizontal connection. After that, it dries and when it is shaken like this, the leaves will no longer fall off, and it will be completed. Next, I would like to use this gold color to create a slightly orange-ish color. First , I will spray it with a woodworking pond water solution. Then I will apply a powder called Japanese Maple Nano Plants Kobiki. I wanted three different colors, so I looked around for orange-ish materials, but I couldn’t find anything good, so I used this method. However, one thing to note is that since the purpose is to change the color, you don’t want to sprinkle too much and make it bright red, so I think it’s fine to sprinkle it in a mottled pattern over about half the area.So I ended up with three different colors. As a bonus, I also made one with green powder added for fun.It was my first attempt, so it didn’t turn out very well, but since it’s just one, I’d like to try using this as well.Next, I’ll show you another way to make it, this time it’s a bit more time-consuming.I don’t mean that it requires technical skill or is more difficult, but rather that it takes time and effort, so I think it can be considered troublesome. For now , I’ll apply diorama glue in the same way as before.Wait for more than 15 minutes, and when the diorama glue becomes transparent, Next we’ll be using natural wood (dyed black), which is a great way to create a tree. When you buy it, it comes in a single block like this, so we’ll tear it up and shape it like this. Depending on the shape of the torn pieces, we’ll need to change the placement of the pieces. As you can see, the longer pieces are placed in the center of the tree, and at this stage, it’s pretty much decided that the tree will be a slim, long tree. If we leave it like this, one piece will stick out , so we’ll bring in similar pieces and adjust the height to create the shape. As it stands, there will still be a hollow at the top of the tree, so we’ll add another piece. Once the height of the tree is roughly determined, we’ll add the smaller pieces of material to the outside and sides. We’ll be grafting it. In the case of materials like this, we’ll twist it a little and make it vertical so that it doesn’t get too long horizontally . After that, we just have to adapt it to the shape of the material, but for example, there are trees that are not shaped like this and are longer horizontally, so in those cases we’ll need to make it quite wide from the trunk. So, for now, it looks like this . Next, we’ll attach the leaves to it, and the adhesive we’ll use for this is diorama glue spray. We spray it on and wait a while for the adhesive to increase. The next material we’ll use is diorama sponge turf, which we bought on Amazon. It’s a different color of this product, and there are two types: orange and yellow. I’m using similar products, but since this video will be long, I’ll just focus on the orange one for now, and I’ll sprinkle it like this. If you want to use this orange tree as is, you can use as fine particles as possible to finish it off and shape it, and then it’s finished. Next, I want to use this orange to make a red maple, so in this case I’ll spray a water solution of wood glue, which I sprinkled on the yellow sponge earlier, and then I’ll sprinkle this on top of the Japanese Autumn Leaves Nano Plants Kobiki . This time I’m sprinkling this heavily to make a bright red maple, but you can also sprinkle it thinly to create a mottled look, which will give a slight color change, so I think it’s worth trying. After sprinkling the powder, some powder will remain at the base like this, so clean it up and then This completes the red maple. Next, we’ll make a yellow maple. In the same way, spray the glue water and use the material Nano Plants Japanese Autumn Leaves Gold. If you sprinkle this fairly evenly, you’ll get the finish shown on the left. After toning down the gold, sprinkle red wood sawdust powder and you’ll get a spotted maple like this. Then we’ll add yellow and green, which is a product called KATO’s Konoha Tokiwairo, and sprinkle gold powder and red wood sawdust powder on it. We sprinkled a little too much red, so we sprinkled gold again, and this is what it will look like after we’ve shaped it. Now, we ‘ve lined up what we’ve made. Orange, red, and yellow are the three colors, and in addition to this, we’ll create a spotted maple. I really liked the light and dark ones, so I made a lot of them . I also made a few in three colors. Please subscribe to my channel. Now, I’m going to go back and forth a bit, but I’m sorting the black dyed materials. I sort them into big and small ones like this. The small ones will be stored like this and then grafted and used. Then, the ones that are quite well shaped like this will not be grafted and will be treated as one tree and used as is. The ones that stick out a little like this, Remove any thick, wide pieces. Then spray the rest in the same way, and then sprinkle in the leaf material. This is the same as before, so I’ll skip a bit, but since we’re using materials that have a nice shape to begin with, there’s no need to shape them, and they end up in a nice shape like this . After this, you can change the color with various powders. Here we sprinkle the powder in three colors, green, yellow, and red, in that order , and this is what it looks like. Planting the trees Now we’ll set up the finished trees. First, put the easier ones in the distance, and then bring the more realistic ones closer. This mountain area will be seen from a distance, so we’ll insert the easier ones first. The order is to drill holes, apply a little glue, and insert them. It may change slightly depending on the shape of the mountain, but the tree planting ratio is 3:3:3:1, with red: 3 yellow: 3 orange: 3 green: 1 1 will be green, but I think a ratio like that is the golden ratio. As for the color distribution, I think it will look quite nice even if you make it with just two colors, red and yellow . The ones I’m making now are of different heights, but if you make the heights of the trees as close as possible to each other, it will have a sense of unity and look even more beautiful. Also, if the hole is bigger than the root of the tree, it will lean, so I think it’s a good idea to apply glue and take the cuttings like this. After that, I continued working on it, and there were no more easy trees left, so I changed the one in the front to a more realistic one. Then, on the left in front of the shrine is a pine tree, which I used a finished product from KATO. Now , across the river from the mountain, on the opposite bank, this is the closest one, so I will use the most realistic type. In the same way, I will drill holes, apply glue and stick the trees in, but as for the order in which I plant them, I start with the lowest ones and gradually increase the height, then gradually lower them again to make it look more realistic. Next, I will express the ground under my feet, and as for the materials , I’m mixing a bunch of different things together. The materials I’m using are the same as before, but the colors are green-yellow and orange, with slightly larger grains , and powders, a mix of nanoplants, sawdust, and gold. I’m mixing it a little haphazardly so I can’t say exactly how much is in there, but the fine powder material will settle at the bottom, so I’ll take that to the site and mix it again and sprinkle it around. The original ground is a dark brown, but I think it will look more realistic if you leave some of this mix visible here and there rather than covering it all up. Next up is field grass, which is a natural straw color. I’ll cut it into pieces less than 1 cm long and apply grass glue before setting it down. After that, I’ll use tweezers to shape it and it’s finished. I’ll also use this plant sheet near the cliff. It’s like small plants stuck to a net-like material, but it gets in the way of my hands It looks good if you tear it into small pieces like this and bend it a little while placing it . First decide on the shape, then apply the grass glue while removing it, and then stick it down again. At this point, leaves may come off or there may be areas where there are few leaves to begin with, so in those cases, add more leaves . To finish, apply a drop of water-based wood glue and you’re done. Now we’ll change the color. This is Woodland Scenics’ Foliage Early Fall, which comes in two types: a mottled maple color and a yellow type, and these are pasted down using the same method. We repeated the same process on the entire cliff and then on the mountain on the other side, and this is what it ended up looking like. So this was a video on creating trees with a focus on autumn leaves. Thank you very much for watching until the end , and please subscribe to our channel.
