This time, I went to Kanazawa to see a NiZiU concert. My wife is a fan of NiZiU’s Miihi, so I accompanied her. Before the concert, I strolled around Omicho Market. Omicho Market, known as Kanazawa’s kitchen, is a fresh produce market with a history of approximately 300 years. Packed with fresh fish, Kaga vegetables, prepared foods, and sushi restaurants, I recommend sampling the food and trying the seafood bowls. I was planning to have oden for dinner, but before that, I decided to grab a bite to eat, so I bought some nodoguro rice from a vending machine. It was frozen. I ate it after I got home. My hotel this time was the Mitsui Garden Hotel Kanazawa. I think it’s one of the more luxurious hotels in the area. Mitsui Garden Hotel Kanazawa is conveniently located about 10 minutes by Hokuriku Railway bus from Kanazawa Station and about a 2-minute walk from the Minamimachi/Oyama Shrine stop. All rooms are Japanese-modern and photogenic, measuring over 20 square meters. The large public bath on the top floor offers views of the greenery and nightscape of Kanazawa Castle Park and Kenrokuen Garden. The hotel is about a 17-minute walk from Kanazawa Station , and the rooms were very clean. While the baths are in the rooms, there is also a large public bath. Hello, I’m Tekashi, the channel operator. Takasago , a long-established oden restaurant, is a renowned Kanazawa oden restaurant founded in 1936. I visited after hearing about its Michelin star rating. Their signature dish is the sharp flavor of a rich Kanto-style broth, handed down through generations. In addition to classics like crab noodles (winter only), clams, wheel-shaped gluten, red sushi rolls, and Kaga vegetables, they also offer unique dishes like doteyaki and curry oden. One of the attractions of this retro Showa-era restaurant is being able to enjoy oden being prepared right before your eyes over the counter. Specialties include the hearty “Kanazawa Hirozu,” large “Baigai” clams, and “Kurumafu” (wheel-shaped gluten) with plenty of dashi stock. We ate quite a lot, and it cost 8,000 yen for two people. We walked from Omicho Market to Mitsui Garden Hotel Kanazawa to Takasago, a long-established oden restaurant , and then to the Kanazawa Opera House for NiziU Live with U 2025 “NEW EMOTION: Face To Face.” While photography is generally prohibited, we were allowed at the end, so we took a video. This is my wife’s favorite, “Miihi.” I felt like she was looking right at me. After the concert, we returned to the hotel. This is Miihi’s autographed ball. I jumped to flick it, and it fell to the ground, but I managed to catch it. Now, it’s time for a bath. This is an image from the official website. We had breakfast at 9:30 AM . There was a wide variety of ingredients available. Breakfast at Mitsui Garden Hotel Kanazawa is a Japanese-Western obanzai buffet by Noka Mantei, a restaurant that offers a taste of Ishikawa. Using ingredients from Kaga and Noto, seasoned with local seasonings, the restaurant offers a wide variety of local dishes. Specialties include more than six types of obanzai, egg-covered wheel-shaped gluten, Kanazawa oden, jibuni, and Kaga vegetables (such as kintoki grass and Gorojima kintoki).
