長崎くんち 初日 諏訪町 @諏訪神社（2025.10.7）
初の長崎くんち。初日の朝7時前から庭先回りの最初の諏訪神社には多くの観客が。ショモーヤーレ、もってこーい、と老若男女が威勢よく独特のコールアンドレスポンスするお祭りもなかなか無い気がします。熱量の高いお祭り。

長崎くんちとは、長崎市の諏訪神社で行われる秋季大祭で、毎年10月7日から3日間開催されます。380年以上の歴史を持ち、長崎を代表する祭りとして知られています。中国の風習に由来する「くんち」という名称で、勇壮華麗な奉納踊（踊町が7年に一度担当）が特色で、重要無形民俗文化財に指定されています。
My first Nagasaki Kunchi. Before 7 a.m. on the first day, crowds gathered at Suwa Shrine, the first stop on the courtyard procession. It’s rare to find a festival where people of all ages enthusiastically chant “Shomoyare! Bring it on!” in that unique call-and-response style. A festival with high energy.

With a history of over 380 years, it is known as Nagasaki’s representative festival. Named “Kunchi” after Chinese customs, its defining feature is the magnificent and splendid dedication dances (performed by a different dance district every seven years), designated as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property.
