ディズニーのポリネシアン・ビレッジ 2ベッドルーム・プリンセス・スイートのツアー&レビュー

Hi, I’m Kim. I’m Brad. We’re 626 Ohana, California. And today we’re gonna be doing a tour of a twobedroom princess suite at Disney’s Polynesian Resort and Bungalows. So, let’s go take a look. So, as you enter, you know, some artwork. I found a little hidden Heyi uh Pua remembers. All right. So, first thing is there’s some organization here. I like this. It’s kind of like a nice little entryway closet. You can take your park bags, put in here, or somebody’s sleeping in the living room. This is their closet. Okay, next up. Oh, okay. We found the tea drawer. Interesting spot for it. Yeah. I mean, it’s right by the Nespresso machine. Let’s see what the espresso has. It looks like it has uh Columbia coffee, stormio, I don’t know what that is. Uh Intensio and uh decaffeinated. Decaffeinated. So intense regular Colombian kind of same stuff. Yeah. Down here you’ve got some cups. Oh, paper towels. Yeah. And then you have this nice little kitchenette. Oh, you have a little hot water kettle for making your tea. Got some cups up there. Uh, wine glasses, regular glasses, ice bucket. So, that’s nice. Oh, I like this. Found a little fridge stocked. Ah, stocked with Sprite Coke. Water. Diet Coke. Nice. Perfect. All right. You got a small sink and a microwave there cuz you need it. Oh, you got a little wine opener and some uh dish soap if you need to clean a couple of dish things, I guess. Yep. Just big storage. Lots lot of storage right there. All right, let’s come into our living room. It’s nice and bright and big. So, this room sleeps up to nine people. So, that’s going to be a pull out couch. We’ll pull that out in just a little bit. So, when we come in, you got a really nice little welcome letter. Cool. And it tells us the concierge hours for the Hawaii Club. Oh, we got a little treat. And what’s in the box? And I know what’s in the box cuz look at this beautiful little box. It’s like balsa wood. Cool. Some treats. Trail mix and some chocolates. Nice. Okay. I almost just like the box. Okay. So, what’s Okay, so you have some storage under here. Kind of a lot of places to shove bags if you needed to. Yeah, great place. Or forget them as we do. Clothes away in there. Mhm. Okay. I feel like Vanna White here. I like that they did the colors in here the same as some of the DVC rooms. Yeah, we’ll get to the view at the end, but you got a nice uh seating area and we’ll pull out the sofa. We’ll do that here in just a moment. But yeah, you got a nice area to sit down, a couple coffee tables. Um yeah, it’s actually really nice. And we’ll show you the couch now. And we’re back. And this is what it’s like with the sofa bed pulled out and the rest of the room so there’s plenty of room to walk around. Yeah, we moved the coffee tables cuz we thought maybe you want to use the chairs and still have a coffee table. I don’t know. Makes sense to us. Yes. So, there we go. Okay, we’re back. Okay, so yeah, that’s the couch. You guys now know what it looks like. We don’t yet. So, there’s also these controls in here like for dimming lights or full lights. Okay. I’m thinking Oh, no. Those are those are Oh, this opens up the the blinds. Those are automatic blinds. Cool. Out to the little seating area out there if you want to. And got a great view. Oh my goodness. This view is amazing. Of course, everybody can see you. The good and the bad. The bad. Okay, let’s open up this baby. Oh, of course you have the child safety lock. Come out and you have a nice little seating for two. Little seating. And you kind of saw the view. And they said we can see if you look way out there in the distance, you can kind of see the castle. Just a nice area. Yeah, we’re right on the marina. All right, we’re going to come back in. Okay. Okay. I do feel like you being a little bit of a fishbowl. Yeah. So, I’m going to close those blinds back up now. So, yeah. Again, where Kim’s going is right where it is. Thermostat’s right there, too. So, kind of nice, easy control. Wish you can figure out the controls. I’m guessing the bottom one. That’s why I did it the other way. Okay. You press the same one. Close. Okay. So, we’re going to go in this first bedroom. Oh, okay. And again, you have those controls for those blinds are right here along this wall. So, it’s kind of nice. Another TV. Uh, big dresser. Um, nice bed. Nice big queen beds. That’s the one thing is these rooms only have queen beds. Mhm. So, It’s nightstands. Uh USB, I’m sorry, USBA. So, your oldfashioned type of chargers, but there’s quite a few of them. Yeah. And there’s one, two, three, four, five, six. So, that’s nice. Let’s see. We’ve got a nice big drawer with your standard issues Bible. And then on the sides, you got reading lights, too. Yeah. So, those kind of just pop out. And there you go. And we’ve got this beautiful artwork in the back of the beds. Yeah. Kind of like continuing with the Moana theme. It’s really nice. And right here you’ve got your hidden Mickey. Mhm. It’s actually a pretty good size room. Yeah, it’s massive. And then we’re going to take a little walk in here. I did put my backpack down a little earlier. Again, it’s kind of like one of these barn style Oh, this room comes with a steamer. Oh, cool. a Con Air steamer. And you got nice big safe. It’s kind of a walk-in closet, but kind of not. Yeah. But I like it. It comes with two robes and a big vanity. Love this. Ah, yeah. This is And look at looks like fish scales around or mermaid scales. Hello. Yep. It is a little noisy cuz that’s the air conditioner return right there. Okay. And then I like this because somebody can be getting ready out here. And you have this lovely barn door. Mhm. And there are more lights in here. We just don’t have them on. Nice vanity area here. Dual sinks. Nothing for storage underneath though. And then Oh, they still got give you the the vanity kit. Manny kit, shower kit, mouthwash and body lotion and salt. Yeah. Okay. Nice toilet. Um makeup mirror. Nice toilet. Yeah, the toilet’s right there. Got to do it. Um they do have towels sitting right there and a dryer. So I guess that’s in case since they don’t have the drawers underneath. Okay. So I see one drawback for this room for us is it is a um disability shower. Yeah. And there’s going to be another problem with this. So, I’ll have Kim take the camera from me here in just a moment. But, if you do want a disability cuz everything is down a lot lower. And uh there is a seat right there. But here’s we’re going to kind of come into this area. I’ll have Kim grab the camera and first time using it is going to be Yeah, I’m about 6’2. So, it is a little short here for me, but also Oh, the SS are really low, too. Okay. So, that’s a tall person problems. Yes, but not short person problems. No, I’m not that bad for me. I mean, I sure person 5’5 still sit and she fits with her ears. Here my So, let’s go ahead and go to the other room. The other bedroom cuz this is a two-bedroom. I really like the artwork in here. Yeah, it’s very tropical. And this is the second bedroom. Again, this is this is a disability room. So, there is a uh door opener for the main door, too. Now, the one thing I will notice in this room, these beds are set higher up. So the other room is a disability room. Yep. So these are more of a traditional height. So you could probably fit your luggage underneath here as some of the normal ones. Let me turn on the lights. It’s getting a little dark in here. And then you got again these are big rooms. Yeah, they are massive. Um I like the foot I like the things in the front of the beds though too. Okay. That the other Yeah. the other room does not have. But the setup is kind of the same with the reading lights and the USBs. Okay. Nice big drawer. This one’s bigger. Mhm. Size. Okay. And you have Yes. This nice lovely little reading chair relaxation nook. And kind of a I guess more dresser drawers. Yeah, these are dresser drawers. There’s six of them. Mhm. So pretty nice and deep. Mhm. Again, more of the Hawaii type of Hawaiian Polynesian Polynesian tropical. And again, the curtains are going to be the same type of situation, I believe, hidden this room. Well, um, no. Hm. Well, that’s the thermostat. Okay. No. Oh, we’ll if we find it, we’ll show it to you. Okay. And then on here is you have Moana, which I love this artwork. It’s gorgeous. And it’s kind of a lockoff room so they can configure the rooms the way they need to. So, let me see if I could find a light. Okay. It comes into this nice big closet. So, you have lots of storage. Both rooms have tons of storage. Yeah. Oh, yeah. That’s That’s going to be your safe area. And another huge closet area. Yep. This is kind of kind of the walk-in closet, but it’s the front. Yeah, I guess you could put it. Yeah, this is nice amount of storage, especially if you have a big family staying here. All right, you got another barn door that closes off. And let me throw on another light in here. Another big sink. Not quite as big as the other one, but you still got dual sinks. Again, all the same amenities, but this one you do have Oh, little cupboards and little things underneath here that you can fit things into. I’m sure it has your hair dryer in one of them. No, it does not. Oh, it doesn’t. The third one. No, it didn’t have it. Wow. Well, maybe we’ll still find it. All right. You have your same vanity, smaller sink area to get ready in. Mhm. Um, you do have a bigger shower. I don’t know. Oh, this is not much. It’s bigger. I think you’re going to have trouble. Not much bigger. I mean, I like the glass more. Yes. But I think this one actually might be harder for me in it. Let’s go ahead and take a look. Okay. Real quick. I have Kim take the camera again. Oh yeah. Again, for reference, I am about 6’2, so I would have to head uh down, but the soaps over here are more of a reasonable. And they do have a little shelf there for you. All right, back to Brad. Okay. So, the nice thing in here Oh, this but another thing to know too, right where we’re talking about it is that I could probably do that and get underneath that one a little bit better. Adjust. Yeah, you could. So, that would that would be my way of taking a shower in here. You have a little Oh, here’s your haird dryer. Oh, okay. There’s like a little Oh, so it’s kind of similar to the other room off kind of by the toilet area. And then you have a nice little barn door so somebody’s using the toilet. Mhm. Someone else could still be getting ready. And again, you’re standing there’s the toilet. Of course, each of the bedrooms still has their own back balcony. So, the other side does as well. And these curtains, we found out are not automatic. Automatic. So, it’s not like the other ones. As evidenced by Mhm. But again, you kind of have your own little patio out here. So, all sides, if you’re combined, there’s like three patios. Yep. So, all that look like this. Oh, no. That’ll drain the water on me. So, you got a great view again. And of course, if you’ll notice, we’re straight across from Cinderella’s castle. Yep. That’s been pointed out again. So, we’re going to stay here for a few nights, and we’re going to let you know how that goes and what we think about the room after staying here. So, we will be back in a few days. Okay, we’re back. So, this was a two-bedroom princess suite in a Tonga building, which is part of the King Kaha Maya concierge. Uh, almost got it. I know that one’s a hard one to say. And full disclosure, um, we were were DVC members. We were supposed to be staying at the new um, Polynesian Tower in a two-bedroom villa, but they had some kind of maintenance issues. Kind of hearing this is happening a little bit more often. So the day before check-in, I got a call and said, “Hey, there’s some maintenance issues. How about we give you this room instead?” Sure. Okay. So we took it. So let’s go ahead and get more into the room now. We’ve got a disclaimer. So we are not sure of the price of the room, how much cost. We know how much points it cost us in DVC, but that’s about it. So let’s go ahead and get to the first parts of the room, which is the room number is room six. So this was a disability room in full um also to let you know. So this was probably something that they had um kind of like reserved maybe reserved. Yeah, just kind of was. So this was probably still in their inventory. So they’re able to offer this um they offered us club level just because of the fact that DVC rooms have a kitchen. So because we lost a kitchen ability to cook such they gave us club level. Yeah. Obviously this doesn’t have a kitchen but it’s still two-bedroom. So okay. So let’s go ahead and move on and let’s talk about the theming. Well yes it’s a club level. It’s at the Polynesian and it has does have the the poly theming and with kind of like a Moana theming mixed together and it’s done beautifully. So, one thing is there’s the bedroom to the left and that’s more of a standard bedroom. Um, it’s not necessarily a disability room on that side. So, the beds are up higher. The bathroom is much smaller on that side. Yeah, I think this could be more like a more standard maybe like a studio suite if you want to put it that way cuz you didn’t have all the other stuff. So, it’s kind of a lockoff, but it was kind of confusing to us at first, but that but that bathroom was nice thing about bathroom was having that separate sliding door for the toilet. Yeah, it’s a pocket toilet. Um, also, it was really nice that um they had a great sitting area. Yeah, the se seating there was a ton of seating in that room. So maybe that’s that make up for not having a couch or anything in there. So all right. So we’ll go back to the living room. Um because I think that was the one thing that just felt small in the room compared to everything else. So um you walk into the living room, you’ve got that really nice espresso coffee machine and hot water kettle. And then you have a stocked mini fridge. So your sodas, your water. Um really nice to have in a room. Yeah, it’s really nice to have it just to grab and not having to run everywhere to get sodas and well, if you think about it, you’re paying for it, but we didn’t. So, we took advantage of it. We loved it. And then, of course, you go into your main bedroom. Um, that main bedroom is I want to call the main bedroom just because of how the bathroom is. That’s kind of the disability room. The beds are set lower, really low for me. And then you go into the closet. It has a gorgeous walk-in closet. It has lots of space, a little vanity table for getting ready in the morning. It’s really nice. Yeah. And and when you were talking about the beds, the beds were kind of middle of the road, I would put it for us. Yeah. They weren’t too hard, not too soft, just somewhere in the middle. Not quite Goldilocks, though. So, the bathroom was nice. The shower is a disability shower, so it has a drop down like bench seat. Um, and you were saying the soaps were kind of low for you, but once again, it’s a disability room, but actually the shower part portion of it was actually a little bit higher than the first bathroom, so I don’t It doesn’t make sense. Yeah, it doesn’t make sense to me. It was fine. It worked. Uh, I totally get the reason it’s set up the way it is. Uh, so let’s go ahead and go to Well, one of the big pros of this room is that view. Oh my goodness. You are straight on to Cinderella’s Castle across at Magic Kingdom and you have this gorgeous uh view of Bay Lake and it is just wow. Yeah. Um it’s it’s just magical. It’s there’s no words. In the mornings it was you had that nice calm water and you could see the reflections. At night you could just look across Bay Lake and see the fireworks going off and it was gorgeous. And you could sit out on your patio if you wanted to and watch it. Or you could come inside and open the curtains and just watch from your room with the TV going with the sound. It was really cool to do and you had that straight on view. And I mean, it really doesn’t get much better than that. But the great thing is being in that Tonga building, you’re right next to that great ceremonial house. Um, it’s covered, so if it’s raining, you’re not getting soaked. um is easy to get to the Montreal, things like that. It’s really nice. Also, the other thing is in that Tonga building, they have a concierge desk. They have a little like desk that has some cookies. Um they have Pog juice and they make a little twist where they put sparkling water in it. That’s No, it’s actually Sprite. Is it Sprite? Okay. With Sprite. And I’ll tell you what, my son and I, we drank our We drank a lot of Pog juice that week. Yeah. We loved it. But if you go upstairs to that Tonga building, they kind of have the it’s like a big table and a little bit of a buffet type snacks, breakfast, cold items. Yeah. And this is one of the great things about this room is obviously that you have the availability of that. You walk upstairs, you have uh all that spread up there. You have beer and wine during certain hours, uh sodas, milk, coffee, juice. you I mean it’s pretty amazing and for breakfast when we didn’t want to go all the way to the Hawaii house and we’ll get into the Hawaii building here in a little bit about what’s available there. But anyways, it was kind of nice not to have to go to the Hawaii building if you want to get some like a muffin and fruit and some juice and call it good to get to the parks real quick. So this is our Yeah, this is our breakfast normally. So it’s a real quick breakfast for us. We don’t eat a heavy breakfast. So it’s like an elevated continental breakfast cuz I hate to say that because the pastries were so good. um that it’s really hard to call it just like a random continental breakfast. And let’s go ahead and talk about the Hawaii building real quick. Yes, there is a little bit of a walk over to it. Uh but they do have hot food and a few more options available. And they do both have Mickey premium bars and sandwiches and sandwiches at both buildings, but we would have to ask our concierge personally to get them. And when you’re at the Hawaii building, you can just grab them out of the freezer. So, there’s a couple advantages there that the Hawaii building had over and it’s a little bit bigger area to sit down and actually kind of eat some things. So, you can actually make a full meal out of um the food that’s up at the Hawaii building. The Hawaii building has hot foods. So, it’s um usually every night it’s changed. So, they’ll have things from around the They’ll have different uh menu items from around um the Polynesian. You get from Kona Cafe to um Ohana’s things like that. It’s really nice mix of food. Uh it’s so just to let you know that is where the hot food is. Tonga is only cold foods or room temperature. Yeah, room temperature foods cuz there were cold foods as well as like cheese and salamis and stuff like that too. So yeah, if it needed to be refri ke kept cold or if it needed to kept hot, Hawaii was your building. Otherwise, you had everything else in the uh Tonga building. In the Tonga building. Okay, talking about the concierge, let’s go ahead and get into that cuz that is another huge part of this room. Okay, so we didn’t realize how important this was going to become to us because my mom uh traveled with us. She comes with us um for our summer trip every year and she ended up getting a cold. So she stayed in the room I think for almost half of this stay that we were there. Yeah. Unfortunately. And but I guess they fortunately it was there. Exactly. Because the concierge was running and getting her orange juice. They were offering to um see if she wanted to bring a nurse to the room or doctor, tell health, whatever they could do to help. They kept checking in with us to see how she’s doing. Could they bring her anything? Some soup, whatnot. Um, really, if you’re going to be sick, that’s the place to do it. That sounds really bad, but they took such good care of her at that consciation level. And it was deeply appreciated by us all. Yeah. And more than just taking care of Mimi. Uh, they also are able to arrange things or try to help you out. So, uh, they could arrange if you wanted to get a special reservation like we did for our anniversary, they tried to arrange it and they worked it out so that we could be able to go to the place we wanted to go around the time we wanted to go to. Um, they’re not miracle workers, so if there’s something that’s very set in stone and very hard to get, they can’t do it, but they can try. We like, for example, we wanted to see if we could get um, Cinderella’s royal um, table the same day. That was not going to be possible, but you know, it never hurts to try to ask. Yep. Um, but that wasn’t possible. But it’s great. They actually know your day, what you’re doing, and they said, “Hey, is there anything that we can help you with?” So, the contrary asked us what our day schedule look like and when would be a good time for mouse keeping to come. So, they would be there when we’re gone um and everything beyond nice and set up when we came back, which is appreciative. So, I like that. Uh, another thing they did do for our anniversary, since we were talking about it, is that they did for the restaurant that we went to for our dinner is send some special treats to us. Well, yeah, you can flat out say they sent over chocolatecovered strawberries um over to Narosis for us for dessert, which was really sweet and nice and um that was a really nice touch. Another thing about these rooms and a lot of people may be concerned about uh is is the noise cuz you’re right there in front. Did we hear any noise? I didn’t hear any boats. Okay. So, we didn’t hear the boat horns or anything that were sometimes um kind of a problem when you’re staying up at like the bungalows, but back there it was fine. But we did hear people if they’re walking in front of the room, if they’re really loud. Yeah, normally walking by, not so much. But if they’re really boisterous and happy and or maybe the kid was really excited to go to Magic Kingdom. Uh yeah, a little bit. We did nothing that was too bothersome. Um, so we’re going to talk about what kind of were any drawbacks or cons. It’s really hard to say that with a room like this, but you may be curious. Yeah. Let’s go ahead and start with those windows since we were just there. Uh, it is hard to say, but good thing is is you’re higher up so you can see over everybody. Bad thing is everybody can look right in. So, if you have those curtains drawn open, it’s like being in a fishbowl. It’s a little awkward. Um, I think we just kind of came to ignore it if we were watching fireworks or if we were at our balcony. It was like, “Oh, hi. This person walking down the the little hall, you know, the pathway in front of our room.” So, that was a little awkward, but I mean, I guess it could happen anywhere. It’s just a hightraic area. Yeah. You know, watching fireworks, everybody was looking at the fireworks anywhere, so it kind of Yeah. It wasn’t such a big deal. But if you were maybe self-conscious or something like that or didn’t want to feel like everybody’s up in your business, let’s go ahead and still still stay with those windows. And this is the thing that took us a a few days to figure out is those curtains. They give you that button control that you’re kind of trying to figure out what does what. It took me two days to figure out how to open and close certain parts of the curtains or how there’s like an in between like just like a sheer curtain almost. So, like how do you It was for a while it was like, “Okay, we have them all open or we have them all closed. We couldn’t figure out how to do the shear.” And if we did finally figure it out, it just took a lot of patience to figure it out. That’s just a nitpicky thing really. It didn’t I would not not say I’d want to stay in this room over a curtain. I don’t know. I mean, for me is I like have natural light coming in. So, and but I don’t want the fishbowl effect. So, it was kind of nice to be able to close that shear and see the light come in. It just took an extra minute. Yeah. So, our next kind of con is coffee. And I don’t want to ex say that the Nespresso machines are great to have in there. I love them having them, but there’s just times I want a regular cup of coffee that’s like the cure egg. You put it in and go. Okay. Um I’m going to say it. Coffee snob. No, maybe. I don’t know. But, um I don’t mind it. I really enjoyed it. So, I I didn’t care either way. Um Brad here is very finicky about his coffee. I know. I just have a certain type of coffee I’m used to in the mornings that it’s easy to go over. Yeah. And also that Nespresso machine is a little bit louder. So it it might wake up somebody sleeping in the living room. Go ahead and talk about somebody sleeping in the living room. And this could be a really big con to this room if you have bad backs. So this is the old-fashioned sofa couch. It was really hard, uncomfortable. So we did ask Concier see if they had like a crepe mattress and they did. They actually brought us a brand new one in still in the packaging. So that helped our son a lot. Um yeah, he was complaining about how uncomfortable it was. And unfortunately the trip the place that we stayed at before this had the same thing and we’re like, “Oh, don’t worry. You’re going to have the Murphy beds. You’re going to be comfortable.” Cuz we thought we were staying in the DVC rooms. Yeah. He wasn’t exactly thrilled when he saw the couch bed again. But once we got that on there, he was comfortable. He say he was fine. Um, I just realized we didn’t mention this room has an occupancy of nine people. Just um to let you know with that that number is another kind of con is there’s no king-siz bed in this. Those are queensiz beds and they are a little small king or queensiz beds. So that’s the only drawback. Um so if Yeah. So if you have somebody who kicks and rolls and turns and Yeah. it. It may be better if it was separate beds because they are a little tiny. Um, so this is more kind of a nitpicky thing for us just because we were DVC is um there’s no laundry in the building. So there’s no machines, anything like that. Um DVC with the two-bedroom, we’re looking forward to having the laundry in the room. Um our own personal washerdryer. That didn’t happen. But given our circumstance, they do give us a key card to go over to the Polynesian Tower and use the DVC laundry for free cuz that’s part of our dues. But if you’re staying in there, um you’d have to go and get laundry. So the laundry room is actually in the old Lilo and Stitch playground room kind of like past it. So from it’s it’s a little walk. Yeah. If you’ve ever stayed at the Polynesian, there’s uh my favorite one to call Bago Pago. is right in front of that and so it’s a big building but yeah that’s a walk. It would be a walk. Yeah. Uh so let’s go ahead and talk about one other little nickpicky thing about this room. So you have this beautiful view of happily ever after straight on from Cinderella’s castle. It really doesn’t get much better than that. Um, but if you want to also see the electrical water pageant without being without without being in the Florida heat, the Florida moisture or the rain, you have a limited view from the Tonga building. You would have to go up to the Hawaii building. Yeah. You only get to see maybe about half of the sides. Yeah. Yeah. I know. It’s so disappointing. Okay. It’s just one of those FYI. Um, I mean, happily ever after, electrical water pageant, you be the judge. So, let’s talk about a couple really quick things. Kim and I have stayed in concierge before. Uh, the concierge here was phenomenal. Yeah, it just having somebody at a concierge desk literally steps from our room was amazing. Yeah. And the services, everything else. I think it was actually just better than what we had because at the boardwalk and and villas where we stayed at it was so we stayed in the cottages. So it was a really long walk to get to concierge. Um here we actually had the tonga room and upstairs um available to us and if we want hot food then we went over to Hawaii but it was nowhere near the walk with the boardwalk um in in Villa as well. And all the cast members were phenomenal. So friendly and so nice and they were they were just so helpful and so friendly and really they went above and beyond. Um we were very fortunate to get to basically uh upgrade to this room if you will. So if you’re finding this video helpful, please like, subscribe, and follow along with our Honda. So will we do this? Oh yeah, we’ll do it again. Yeah. Yeah. Please, please, please. kind of funny thing was since my mom goes with us, we were talking about next summer and we’re like, “What room were what um resort would you want to stay in?” She goes, “I want the room that we had at the Polly this time.” So, we had to explain to her um sorry mom, this was upgrade kind of probably once lifetime kind of things. Our poly points will not cover this room. Uh sorry, I know we got a little spoiled. So with that, I think it’s time for us to say goodbye and find your magic. Bye everyone. Moment and don’t go wait until the morning. You never know when it is over.

We stayed at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort in a 2 bedroom Princess Suite. We take you along for a room tour and all the perks that come with staying at club level. Is it worth it for the cost of the room ? What perks did we enjoy ?
