【青森観光】下北半島のグルメと観光を巡るドライブ旅行が最高すぎた!青森旅行vlog

Good morning! This is bien. I travel two or three times a month , and this time , my destination is the Shimokita Peninsula in Aomori Prefecture , the northernmost part of Honshu . By the way, do you know where the Shimokita Peninsula is ? If you look at a map of Japan, it’s right here. Aomori Prefecture itself is incredibly large, but it’s the northernmost area of Aomori Prefecture. This axe-shaped area on the Shimokita Peninsula is a must-see. Famous sights include Mount Osore , one of Japan’s three most sacred sites, and Oma Tuna, right here at Cape Oma. I think it’s over 100km from Misawa Airport to Mount Osore, so it’s quite a long drive. I’m going on a three-day, two-night road trip around the Shimokita Peninsula, and I’m really looking forward to seeing what kind of scenery awaits me! Please watch until the end. So, I flew from Haneda Airport to Misawa Airport on JAL. The airport looked stylishly decorated with scallops, apples, squid, and more . I arrived in Aomori Prefecture. There were no car-share spaces available, so I used Toyota. I’m going by rental car. This time, I’m going to visit the Shimokita Peninsula for the first time in my life, so I’m thinking of suddenly driving long distances to Mutsu, but if I go suddenly, it will be too long and dangerous, so I’ll take a break at the Yokohama Roadside Station on the way before going to Mutsu. The sound of airplanes is really loud. It’s been about a year since I’ve been to Aomori Prefecture. Aomori Prefecture is so big. Last year, I visited Hachinohe, Towada, Aomori, and Tsugaru, and even so, it was quite a drive because I only had three days to do it, but this time I’m mainly going to the Shimokita Peninsula, so it’s really far to Mutsu, but once I get there, it’ll be fun. The roads are amazing . : It’s going straight. The announcement on the plane said it was 23 degrees. It’s completely different from Tokyo. Is it about 10 degrees different? There was a sign just now that says it’s 103km from here to Osorezan . It’s quite a distance, the scenery is amazing, it looks like Hokkaido . We’ve gone 10km and have 40km left. The road is like this the whole time, and it’s quite sleepy. If you’re traveling to Aomori from Tokyo, Kansai or Kyushu, I don’t think there are many people who come to Misawa Airport and head straight to Shimokita Peninsula . There are probably a lot of people who have never been there (it seems to be a highly unexplored place). I wonder what it’s like. But surprisingly, Mutsu seems to have a lot of tourists. The hotels were quite full. Seriously, the lanes are all there. There are no traffic lights in particular, and it’s the kind that makes you sleepy. Aomori in September might be a hidden gem . It’s really cool in short sleeves, so I wonder if it might be cold at night . We’ve gone about 20km and wonder where we are . Then we find a Lawson. We’ll take a quick break. Well, actually, we’ll buy a coffee. Lawson is an oasis. Ah, what is this ? There’s a sign. Is this a roadside station? What’s this, what’s Rokkapokka (apparently a spa house) There was a microphone and beer mark , but it’s really amazing The road is like this all the way Because it’s rich in nature, animals are getting hit all the time I think about three were hit in just this short time We entered what looks like a highway, I think it’s a free highway The illustration on the animal warning sign is definitely a bear I wonder if bears will appear Yokohama Town We entered Yokohama Town It’s about 10km left to the roadside station Mutsu is 39km from here, Osorezan is 51km , it’s still a long way Second animal warning sign, this one is also a bear I’ve traveled about 60-70 times and never seen a bear Will I finally encounter one this time And finally, after a long journey, we are approaching the Yokohama roadside station Wow , we’ve suddenly driven 50km since arriving in Aomori I’m tired, it’s pretty crowded, everyone takes a break for a while, there was nothing happening until we got here I arrived at a huge parking lot along the way , and Yokohama Town, where I am currently located , is located in the middle of the Shimokita Peninsula and faces Mutsu Bay. Its specialty is rapeseed flowers, and it is said to be one of the largest cultivated areas in Japan. In May, the Rape Flower Festival is held, and various events are held over two days. By the way, Mutsu City, my goal for today, was formed on March 14th as a result of the merger of four cities and towns in 2005 , which was a nationwide merger of the Heisei era. The name Mutsu City itself was first used in 1960, and it was the first city in Japan to have a name written in hiragana at the time . The origin of Mutsu comes from the fact that the northern part of the Tohoku region has long been called Mutsu Province, and that the city faces Mutsu Bay. It is the center of the Shimokita Peninsula, and apparently the name Mutsu was written in hiragana because “Mutsu ” was a phonetic spelling . Also, as it is the northernmost area of Honshu, some people may be concerned about access. By car, it is about 2 hours from Aomori, about 1 hour 40 minutes from Misawa, about 2 hours from Hachinohe, about 2 hours from Aomori, about 1 hour 20 minutes from Misawa, about 1 hour 30 minutes from Hachinohe. I was feeling a little hungry, so I decided to buy something at Nanohana Plaza. There were lots of cheap and delicious looking things for sale like this. Actually, I was just thinking of taking a break and just having a quick look, but it looked delicious so I bought some. It has a minced meat cutlet burger and scallops in it, and the famous scallop rice ball. And the grilled rice balls were only 150 yen, so overall it was cheap. The rapeseed leaves are apparently Yokohama rape blossoms, so they’re easy to eat and delicious . I recommend buying this. The local drinking yogurt is really good. The scallop rice balls are made with glutinous rice from Aomori Prefecture. They’re 200 yen. When you’re on a road trip, it ‘s nice to stop at roadside stations like these and try local gourmet food in various places. They’re just delicious. The grilled rice balls are also delicious. Is this non-glutinous rice? It’s from Aomori Prefecture and has a strong flavor. It ‘s a menchi katsu burger with plenty of sauce . Now I’m eating it. It’s delicious . I’m planning to go to a restaurant later today , but instead of going to a restaurant, I might as well buy some more rice balls here and eat them. It’s delicious. I just ate at the Yokohama Roadside Station, but my next stop is a restaurant. I was originally planning to take a break at the roadside station and look around to see what they had on sale, but the burger and rice balls looked so delicious that I ended up buying some . Wow! Is it a daily occurrence for animals to be hit again ? It’s amazing to see them being hit like that. It’s a beautiful sight. Is it a view spot? At first I thought I would go to Sunshine here. I arrived. It’s a restaurant on the way from the Yokohama Roadside Station to Mutsu City. I ordered the scallop ramen and scallop bowl that I had been curious about . It’s a simple dish of Chinese noodles topped with fried scallops. And for some reason, another bowl of ramen came . I’m so full , I’m really full. I ate rice balls, hamburgers, ramen, and actually, I wanted the scallop bowl and scallop ramen. I said it was lame and they were supposed to give me one ramen at a time, but for some reason they brought two bowls of ramen . I’m so full, I’m at my limit. There was no scallop ramen on the menu, so I asked, and they said they couldn’t serve sashimi so they had taken it off the menu, but they said they could serve ramen separately. So I ordered scallop ramen and a scallop bowl , and the waiter said, “Yes, scallop ramen and a scallop bowl.” At that moment I repeated it again to mean “Yes, that’s it !” I said “Ramen,” but they took it as an additional order and unexpectedly brought me two bowls of ramen. It was like a comedy skit , you should be careful when repeating things (maybe my intonation, lol). Finally, I arrived five kilometers from Mutsu city. There’s a farm nearby, I think. I want some soft serve ice cream , so I’m heading there now. Milk Factory Bon Serve? It’s been a long time since I’ve seen it! Geo’s nostalgic Nanbu rice crackers . Hachinoheya ‘s Nanbu rice crackers are delicious. It’s so straight, the road makes me really sleepy. : There’s a black bear sighting warning in effect , so it can be dangerous at night if you don’t take care. I saw a sign for Bon Serve, a milk factory. I’m glad there’s a sign , and it ‘s easy to understand. I wonder if I’ll just go straight and arrive. It’s a really straight road. I’ve arrived at Bon Serve. The breeze is pleasant, it’s really cool, I don’t sweat at all . It’s cool, and there are goats and crows, and it’s peaceful. I wonder what I should eat? Soft serve ice cream? For now , they also sell a variety of large sized drinking yogurts. I was really curious about the grape and berry drinking yogurt, but since I was here, I had to get soft serve ice cream. The number one popular soft serve ice cream is delicious. It’s just right, not too sweet, and has a rich milk flavor. Wow, the soft serve ice cream was delicious. Next up is finally here. I’m heading to Mount Osore, 17km from here . This is my first time on the Shimokita Peninsula , and Mount Osore, which is one of Japan’s three most sacred sites (the atmosphere looked amazing). I’ve also been given permission to cover the area, so I wonder if this is the Mutsu city center. The hotel I’m staying at tonight is on this street , and Mount Osore is on the right, so I turn right and enter Route 4. Original Miso Shellfish Grill Nakagawa: I think I’ll go tomorrow or the day after tomorrow at noon . I’ve entered Route 4 and it ‘s a straight road ! What is this mysterious creature ? I’m glad it didn’t jump out into the car just now. From this angle, it looks like the road is much wider . There’s a black bear sighting warning (did I just see that lol) The atmosphere of the plants is also unique. Osorezan Sacred Site, 9km left. Ah, from here, it feels like it’s going uphill. About 6km left, the curves start to increase. Oh , I suddenly smell sulfur. I’ve arrived . I was given permission to cover this, and I was able to take photos and edit them, but there were a few things that happened. I’ve given up, so I’ll use a map to give a quick overview and my impressions, but I might release it in a separate video at a later date. Mount Osore is one of Japan’s three major sacred sites, and was opened in 862 by Jikaku Daishi Ennin. Also, from the 1950s, female spiritual mediums called Itako began to gather there, and spiritual summoning called Kuchiyose began to be performed within the grounds. By the way , it seems that these women do not belong to Mount Osore, nor is Mount Osore managed by them. Mount Osore is also famous as the place closest to the afterlife. There is a single river that flows from Lake Usori, and this is called the Sanzu River. In Buddhism, it is said to be the river that separates this world from the next. There are two statues here, called Datsueba and Ken’e-o. Datsueba strips the clothes of the deceased, and Ken’e-o hangs them on a tree branch, and the bending of the branch measures the weight of the evil deeds they committed in life, and determines their destination after death. The entrance fee is 700 yen per adult, and you can get a pamphlet like this. The area has a very strong smell of sulfur, and I saw some signs warning of bears, but in conclusion there was nothing to be worried about. There are many worshippers even on weekdays, so I don’t think there will be any problems if you go during the day. There are apparently 136 spots on Mount Osore that are modeled after hell, where people who have committed crimes are punished. There are also many windmills around Mount Osore , mainly in this area. These started as memorials for deceased children, but now they are erected as memorials for people other than children, instead of flowers . Children who have died, leaving their parents behind, gather together, pile stones, build a tower, and offer it to Buddha. It is said that they pass on the merit they have gained to their parents and show their filial piety that they were unable to do in this life. However, demons appear here and destroy the tower before it is completed. The tower must be rebuilt again and again, and it is said that Jizo Bodhisattva of Sai-no-kawara will save it . This story is the inspiration for the proverb “Stonework at Sai-no-kawara,” which describes unrewarded efforts. This beautiful , yet somewhat sad, beach is called Gokurakuhama. Because sulfur gas is emitted from the bottom of the lake, only creatures called Japanese dace live there. It was a truly mysterious place with an otherworldly atmosphere, beauty , and a sense of sadness. This was Mount Osore, one of Japan’s three most sacred sites. Wow, it had an amazing atmosphere. Then we returned to the area around Mutsu city. Before checking into the hotel , we decided to take a look at Shimokita Station . We arrived in front of Shimokita Station. There is free parking in front of the station. There was also a takoyaki food truck, which looked delicious, but we were having sushi for dinner so we decided to hold off. We are here now. It’s quite spacious. Tomorrow is going to be crazy. Tomorrow I’m going to sightsee counterclockwise like this. Please subscribe to my channel and watch the next video. Near the bus stop, there was a photo spot like this. It’s huge . I arrived at the hotel where I’m staying this time. There are three parking lots (maybe a fourth?) . The first and second parking lots are incredibly deep. This time it’s a twin room. It was just under 23,240 yen for two people for two nights. There are two power outlets here. It’s a nice twin room. It’s time for dinner, so I’m heading there on foot. It’s raining a little, unexpectedly, but Google Maps says it’s a two-minute walk. But wow, the sidewalks are wide and easy to walk on, so it’s comfortable. I arrived in just a few minutes. Tonight’s dinner is nigiri. Arrived at Dottonya Lunch hours are from 11:30am to 1pm and dinner hours are from 5:30pm to 9pm Let’s go inside and here is the menu Nigiri can be ordered individually and the a la carte dishes look like this There are three types of nigiri sets from chicken to octopus There are three types of nigiri sets Regular, High and Extra High Cheers I ‘m glad I made it safely I’m glad another day ended safely Good job I came to a sushi restaurant and I was curious so I had the Wagyu beef tataki Next came the fried octopus It’s been a while since I’ve had it and fried octopus is really delicious Then the long awaited sushi arrived I ordered a few individually and the sushi at this restaurant was so delicious it was one of the best I’ve had this year Salmon belly It was my first time eating this kind of thing when eating out so I was wondering if I could eat the skin but I thought I could, so I ate it I can’t drink alcohol but I like this kind of thing I’ll have the whelk It ‘s amazing This, this, this is it From now on! Dried gourd roll The sweet and sour taste of the rice and the sweetness of the dried gourd is what I call it, it ‘s just the best, I can’t stop eating Next came horse mackerel namero I was surprised at how delicious everything was Thank you for the meal It was really delicious 9970 yen It was just under 10,000 yen I ate so much , but it was delicious If I had eaten it in Tokyo, it would probably cost around 30,000 yen It was seriously delicious Seriously, it’s quite high on the list of travel destinations I’ve visited this year Seriously, everything was equally delicious, so I’ll go grab some groceries at the convenience store and then head back to the hotel , take a bath, and take a deep sleep (to prepare for tomorrow). Tomorrow I’ll be sightseeing in the northernmost area of Honshu. Please subscribe to my channel and rate it highly.
