Korea 2025 | เที่ยว “คังนึง” ทะเลใกล้โซลแค่ 2 ชม. กิน เที่ยว คาเฟ่ ครบ! | 비짓강릉 (Visit Gangneung)

This is the hot seaside spot near Seoul right now. A hidden seaside town still little known to travelers, but home to a charming beach. So stunning! The orange flowers contrast with the blue sea. The local specialty was so tasty, I slurped up every last drop. Wow~ Wow~ Very fresh cockles! Corn pudding. So bouncy! So delicious. Delicious. Very tasty! Super delicious. And it has an atmosphere that you will wake up to… that you’ll wake up to, just like this. A city with such an amazing vibe. Come travel with me. I’m sure you’ll fall in love with this city just like I did. This is… “Gangneung” “Gangneung” I’ve already fallen in love with Gangneung. From the last episode. We took a flight from Thailand to Incheon Airport and landed at Incheon Airport. Then I took a bus to Gangneung. The trip took about 4 and a half hours. Once I arrived, we took a taxi to have our very first meal in Gangneung. At a restaurant called “Umjine”. This is the menu that we will eat today. Here’s the dish we’re going to try today. It’s cockle bibimbap. Speaking of cockles, Gangneung in South Korea is one of the most famous places for them. That’s because Gangneung has clean seawater, so the cockles here are firm, sweet, and not fishy. They’re considered a local specialty. A must-try dish when visiting Gangneung is cockle bibimbap. Or is it cockle bibimbap, or Kkomak Bibimbap? The sweet fresh cockles mixed with rice and gochujang sauce give a perfectly balanced sweet and spicy flavor. Wow, here it is. With seaweed soup, Tofu. In Gangneung city. Gangneung is also famous for its tofu. The main dish isn’t even here yet, but the side dishes are already plenty. I really love Korean food culture because they serve so many side dishes. And when I watch documentaries about them catching fish, gathering ingredients, and processing them, it always looks so delicious. Wow~ Wow~ Here’s how to eat it. Let’s eat the side with rice first. Start with the side that has rice first, which is this side. After you finish eating this side, they’ll mix the rice on this side for you. Then you eat this side. It looks so delicious. Try the side with the mixed rice first, everyone, look. Wow, so tasty. The flavor is just right, not too spicy, perfectly balanced. Even if you don’t like spicy food, you can enjoy this. The cockles are super fresh. Gangneung is a coastal city, and the seafood, of course, is super fresh. Eat it the Korean way, wrapped in seaweed like this. Mmm, delicious! Tofu. Wow! The tofu is so soft. Cold tofu, and it’s delicious. Mmm, eating it feels so refreshing. Another local specialty is corn. Mmm~ The corn is really good. It’s corn mixed with creamy salad — so good. It’s amazing. This one… This one… is really interesting. It’s a small crab. They stir-fried it in sauce, like spicy chili crab. Mmm, the taste is similar to chili crab, but the small crabs are crispy. Delicious, and very fragrant. Korean… Korea… is… really is… a country for food lovers. Mmm, sipping the hot seaweed soup first. Mmm. The soup goes down so smoothly. I’m in a taxi right now. We’re heading to our accommodation. Because right now… It’s already around… 2:20 PM. More than 2:20 PM. We’ll be able to check in at 3:00 PM. Wow ! The view is amazing. You can see the sea just like this. There’s even a bathtub in the room. The room here is like this . It’s styled like an Airbnb. It comes with various functions, supplies, and almost everything you could need. It’s just like being at our own condo. Everything is fully provided. The room is white, the atmosphere is nice, and it’s clean. We’ll be staying here for 2 nights. Yay! The room has such an amazing atmosphere. So many people having picnics. It’s a coastal city with… beautiful beaches. Super clear water. It’s really nice. Wow~ Wow~ Gangneung, a city by the beach. Over there, people are camping. I just looked from our bedroom and saw people pitching tents by the beach. The vibe is super chill. Oh, puppies! By the beach. Along the beach, there are some cafes. Come and chill out in the cool weather, have a beer… and enjoy… Cass beer. This mailbox is so cute, Adorable. Red mailbox. There are so many cafes here. This street is called “Coffee Street”, and it’s full of cafes. The coffee cups? Oh, the top view of the cups. So cute. It’s September now, it’s the time when… It’s starting to… The weather is starting to get cooler. The weather is just perfect. It’s September, October. Next is September, then comes October . By October, it’ll be… Autumn with the leaves changing color. If you visit this area, I think the fall foliage should be beautiful. There are lots of ginkgo trees too. At night, the coffee cup lights up. It says, “Touch here.” Here. Whoosh! Swipe! Whoa! So cute. Really pretty. Gangneung Coffee Street. This is a local from Gangneung. They asked for my YouTube . YouTube channel. “Outing Man” “Outing Man” Yes. Wowww! Wowww! Bye-bye. Last time in Japan, I had grilled clams. And even made new friends. Traveling really opens up your world. You get new experiences, meet new people, make foreign friends, and even make foreign friends. Traveling is beneficial, it’s not useless at all. It inspires us, like… It inspires us to… go back to work, work hard, save money to travel, discover new things, get new ideas to bring back to work, and even bring back fresh ideas for our work. I’m in a taxi right now. Let’s go find something delicious to eat. We’ve arrived at “Gangneung Joongang Market”. Wow~ Wow~ There’s so much food here! Fried chicken. Looks so good. This is called “Twigim”, it’s deep-fried snacks. There’s fried shrimp, and fried squid over there. When you order, they fry it fresh for you. They reheat it so it’s hot and fresh. Wow, this place is full of crabs, everyone! They’re still alive. They’re still walking around. Whoa ! Annyeonghaseyo (Hello). Hello. Here, he’s giving me a taste. Mmm! Mmm ! So delicious! So delicious! It’s “Hangwa”. Hangwa? “Hangwa” “Hangwa” Hangwa . Yes. Yes. It’s called “Hangwa”. So good, everyone! It’s fluffy and coated with puffed rice on the outside. Not too sweet either. Really tasty! This is another famous specialty of Gangneung. It’s corn. There are many alleys. So much food! This is a dessert shop. That one is fresh seaweed. This one is dried seaweed . Thank you. Thank you. Here. In Korean, it’s called Korean name : “Gamtae”. Gamtae Gamtae Gamtae Gamtae Oh, Gamtae. Its Korean name is “Gamtae”. It’s all natural. No extra seasoning. Really tasty. Slightly salty. Food is everywhere in every alley. Just nibbling from each stall and you’ll be full. How could it not be delicious? The broth is slowly simmered like this. It’s such a clean market. Let’s try this place next. It’s croquette-style eomuk. It ‘s like a fish ball inside. Wow, check out the filling! Whoa~ The outside is crispy, and the inside is filled with eomuk. Perfectly spicy. So delicious! Spicy flavor. Let’s try this place next. Next, let’s try this place. It’s fried chicken. It’s not hot. Because they have to mix it in sauce. It’s not hot, because they coat it in sauce. Wow~ Wow~ Behind me, they just finished frying it and are about to mix it with sauce. Mmm, it’s sweet fried chicken. Similar to the fried tofu with… a sweet dipping sauce, and some kind of peanuts. With some kind of nuts. It’s not hot. They use a fan like this, so it doesn’t get hot. If it gets hot If it were hot, it wouldn’t be crispy. Oh! This is like our crispy rice crackers back home. Thank you. The lady said it’s called “Hyeonmi Seolgwa-ja”. It’s a fried brown rice snack. It ‘s kind of like our rice crackers, but chewier, and the dough is fluffier and crispier. The lady brought another kind for us to try. She even brought another kind for us to try. So kind of her. Oranda Oranda. Oranda. Oranda ? Oo-ran-da? O Oo? O Oo? O Oo? < font color=#FAC45FFF>Ran Ran Ran Ran Da Da Oo-ran-ta. Oo- ran-ta✗ (Oranda✓) Oo-ran-ta✗ (Oranda✓) Here. Mmm! Mmm! This one is delicious. The snack isn’t hard at all. It’s crispy and a little sweet, but this one has a nice sugary aroma. They brought plenty for us to try. This shop is right in front of the market. Thank you, but no. Thank you, but no. The auntie is so sweet. She is so sweet! She gave us another piece of the snack. Every shop is so cute. They give you so many samples. The lady at the previous shop was so sweet. She let us try a lot and even put some in a bag for us. Koreans are so kind. You should come visit Gangneung. There’s so much delicious food! Now we’re totally full. We walked around and tried many stalls. Next, let’s continue exploring Gangneung. We’ve arrived. “Sagunjin Observatory” Wow! I really like this spot. The breakwater is painted in yellow , pink, and blue. Cute! It’s cute because of the colors. Wow, the water is so clear. Look, everyone. Over there, people are taking photos on top. So cute, It’s in pastel colors. Yellow, pink, and blue. If the breakwater were plain, it wouldn’t be this cute. But adding colors makes it really charming. They did a great job. Let’s go check it out from the top. The view from above is amazing. It’s just the regular breakwater, you know. But once they painted it, it became super cute. And it turned into a little landmark. Everyone, just look at this. So adorable. And it contrasts beautifully with the clear blue sea. Even under the bright sun like this, the air is actually quite cool, everyone. So stunning! Look! The orange flowers contrast with the blue sea. So freaking beautiful! The flowers and trees here are so green and lush. And the flowers are so beautiful, everyone . The flowers are beautiful, look. They’re just ordinary cosmos flowers, but with different shades — they have yellow, orange, and green. And look. Lined up like this, it’s so beautiful. Look, it looks amazing! So beautiful. And this is just in the afternoon. I’ve already fallen in love with Gangneung. So right now, we’re getting hungry. Let’s go eat… Let’s go try… one of Gangneung’s famous specialties. That’s… “Chodang Tofu” This is “Chodang Tofu Village”. There are lots of tofu shops here. Let’s go. Let’s pick one to try. There are aprons at the back. Let me choose a menu first. < font color=#FAC45FFF>Are you Thai? Are you Thai? Oh, Thai! Hello! Wow, there are Thai people here too. This “Sundubu” This is “Sundubu”. “Sundubu” is a type of tofu that’s soft and a bit runny. “Dubu” is tofu in a solid sheet. Here is… This place is actually… a tofu village. “Chodang Tofu” is the famous tofu of Gangneung. “Chodang Tofu” is a well-known dish in Gangneung. The tofu here is made from ground soybeans mixed with East Sea water, instead of using lime water or coagulants like regular tofu. Because of Gangneung. Because Gangneung is a coastal city, people in the past adapted local resources until it became local wisdom and turned it into a traditional local wisdom that has been passed down for generations. The minerals in the seawater help the soybean proteins set perfectly. It makes Chodang tofu have a soft texture, smooth, and creamy texture, slightly salty at the tip of the tongue and more fragrant than regular tofu. Nowadays, even though some shops use purified salt water instead for hygiene and easier quality control. But the taste and uniqueness of Chodang Tofu remain the same. Remain the same. You can refill all the side dishes as much as you want, except for the fried fish. Right now, it’s boiling perfectly, ready to taste. Let’s try it! Wow! Mmm, smells so good. Chodang tofu. Mmm~ Mmm~ Really delicious. Super tasty! So good. Try it with steamed rice. Goes down so smoothly. This is stir-fried pork with sauce. Mmm! Mmm! So tasty. Really delicious. The stir-fried pork is very tasty. The soup is delicious too. This is fish, cut in half like this. Looks so good. Mmm, delicious, like fish that was sun-dried before being fried. Smells amazing, everyone, so tasty. I’m so happy to eat something this good. Absolutely awesome. Come visit Gangneung. The food is super delicious. Add a little sauce. Let’s eat. Once you add the sauce, it gets richer. It increases the aroma . It enhances the aroma and the flavor even more. Mmm~ Mmm~ This is “Chodang Tofu”. It’s a specialty of Gangneung. Made with pure saltwater. Mmm, delicious . It’s tofu that’s kind of mashed. Creamy texture , slightly salty. Delicious. Really tasty. So delicious. Look. The whole pot is empty. Proof of how good it was. This meal cost 30,000 won. We’re going to walk to a café. It’s not far from here. It takes about 10 minutes to walk. We’ve arrived. The corn café . at Corn Café. This place is called “Pudding Café Chodang”. The shop is super cute. It’s a small shop. They focus on menu items made from corn. Because here in Gangneung, another famous local specialty is corn. Another famous specialty of Gangneung is “Chodang Corn”. The highlight of Chodang Corn is that it’s so sweet you can even eat it raw. It’s crispy, juicy, with plump kernels, tastes like fruit. It even got the nickname “Corn as sweet as fruit”. That’s because the corn here It is grown in soil rich in minerals from the East Sea. Combined with the cool weather, it helps the corn grow really well. And it has a sweetness that’s different from anywhere else. Here it is! This is the corn pudding. Topped with what looks like corn flakes. It looks so delicious, everyone. Look at this. So bouncy! So cute. Jiggle, jiggle, jiggle. Here. Wow. More jiggles. Mmm, smells so corny. Mmm~ Mmm~ It tastes really good, not too sweet. This one is corn flakes. Let’s try this one. Mmm, Mmm, it goes really well together. So delicious! Mmm. The coffee is good too. Really tasty. The café is really cute. The desserts are so delicious. It’s a small place, but super charming. We’ve called a taxi. We’re heading back to the area where we’re staying. I really love it here. I’ve been so happy on this trip to Korea. Wow, Gangneung! It really completes my long-awaited Korea trip. But honestly, it’s a very walkable city. It’s a small town. But there are lots of restaurants and cafés everywhere. It’s such a lovely little town. Teenagers are lighting fireworks. Over there. Let’s go sit at this café. It’s called “Coffee Cupper”. Have you ever watched the series “Light Shop”? It looks just like it in the show. Wow! The café is so beautiful . They brew Turkish-style coffee here. The café is so beautiful. The café is so beautiful . It’s super photogenic, really pretty. Mmm, wow! The coffee smells amazing. The coffee tastes really good. Sitting here, looking at the sea right in front of us. They’re setting off fireworks over there right now. Good morning, everyone. I’m gonna grab a coffee this morning. Then I’m going to take the bus tour. It’s the “SEA TEA Bus.” It’s the “SEA TEA Bus. ” The “SEA TEA” comes from the word “City Bus.” It’s a bus that takes you around Gangneung city. It keeps running around the city continuously. Here’s a shop that’s already open. Thank you. Thank you. Wow~ Wow~ Thank you. Thank you. The lady gave me two boiled eggs. So cute! I got coffee, and they gave me boiled eggs too. So cute! Look at this. Mmm, the coffee is really good. So delicious. This is peach tea, it’s delicious. Wanna try? Can I try a sip? Mmm, Mmm. Oh, so fragrant! So delicious! Really nice. And the city vibe here is like… And the city vibe here is like… Oh~ Ah~ It’s so nice. Gangneung is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere… The atmosphere… So good is just perfect. Walking along the beach. The bus stop will be red like this. If you’re taking the SEA TEA Bus, at Anmok Beach, just walk straight from the roundabout. Pass by the main Coffee Cupper branch, you’ll see a red sign like this. The first bus leaves at 8:00 am. Then it comes every 40 minutes. SEA TEA Bus. The SEA TEA Bus is a sightseeing bus around Gangneung. Once we get coffee like this, and get on the bus, it feels like sitting in a moving café, cruising along the beach and exploring the city. It’s such a cute little gimmick. When visiting Gangneung, taking the SEA TEA Bus around the city is a must. The atmosphere is great. The vibe is amazing. Waking up early feels so refreshing. The bus is super cute. Wow, the atmosphere is amazing. The bus keeps moving around continuously. And then it will stop at various tourist spots. It stops at various tourist spots. You can get off if you want or you can just stay on the bus. Basically, you can just relax and enjoy the ride. Each round in Gangneung takes about 40 minutes. So if anyone wants to get off somewhere, and get off to explore, you can go explore. You’ll need to wait for the next bus, which will come in about 40 minutes. And what I really like is the name, the SEA TEA Bus. It comes from the word SEA, which means “sea.” SEA comes from the word “Sea.” TEA, which means “ tea.” TEA comes from “Tea.” Yeah, so “SEA TEA Bus,” which plays on the word “City Bus,” is a pun on “City Bus”. Pretty clever. And look at this view — so beautiful! People are casually exercising. So relaxed, the atmosphere is great. Walking along the seaside, with a line of pine trees. The sun isn’t too strong. The weather is cool and comfortable. The pine trees are so beautiful. The sea are beautiful. The coffee is good. The city is lovely. And the people are so nice. Right now we’re on a road lined with pine trees. Left and right, they’re all pine trees. So beautiful. Pine trees stretch out on both sides, so beautiful. Wow~ Wow~ Oh, there’s this bridge. So cute. It’s a small bridge. So cute! This is a small bridge. It connects the beach to a rocky islet. I really love it. I’ll definitely come back to visit Gangneung again. “Sacheonjin Beach” This is Sacheonjin Beach. Whoa, people are surfing. They’re actually surfing. This is Yeongjin Beach. This is the beach where they filmed the drama “Goblin”. Here . This is a TV frame. This is the spot used as a filming location. This is the Jumunjin Fish Market. It’s a traditional fish market. This is the filming location of the drama The Glory. In Gangneung, they use this city as a filming spot for many dramas. The city is really beautiful. It’s perfect as a filming location for filming dramas . And also for dramas and movies. We’ve arrived at the last stop, “Jumunjin Beach.” “Jumunjin Beach”. Now, let’s walk over to the “BTS Bus Stop.” Because the bus won’t come until 9:10 AM. That’s when I’ll be able to head back. For those who want to visit the BTS Bus Stop, get off at the last station. At Jumunjin Beach Station. That’s Jumunjin Beach Station. Then walk over that way, on the left side. Keep walking a little further, you will see the BTS Bus Stop and you’ll find the BTS Bus Stop. It’s over there. Right there. Here we are, BTS Bus Stop BTS Bus Stop. Here, everyone. Here. This is where BTS shot their album cover. But actually, no real buses come here. Here’s the BTS album cover spot. It’s at the last station. If you take… If you take… SEA TEA Bus to the SEA TEA Bus. Oh! The seat is shaped like fish, so cute. Let’s go. Let’s hurry and wait for the bus… Now, I’ll hurry to wait for the bus… that I’ll take back. I’ve arrived. And that’s all for my trip to “Gangneung”, South Korea, 3 days and 2 nights.
