この動画は、福井県大野市にある「深井鉱泉（ふかいこうせん）跡」を記録したものです。かつては鉱泉宿として地域の人々や旅人に利用されましたが、今では営業を終え、廃墟のような姿を見せています。

私はこの場所を2021年の冬にも一度訪れましたが、そのときに撮影した映像は残念ながら火災で失われてしまいました。今回あらためて訪れると、建物の崩壊はさらに進んでおり、背後にある薬師堂を除けば、かつての宿は完全に潰れ、自然へと還っていく様子が一層はっきりと見られました。

深井鉱泉は大正期から昭和期にかけて湯治場として知られ、鉄分を多く含む冷鉱泉は飲用・入浴に利用されてきました。最盛期には宿泊施設も整備されましたが、交通の変化や生活様式の移り変わりとともに利用客は減少し、やがて閉鎖されました。現在では廃墟と化した建物跡と静かな里山の風景が残るのみです。

This video records the remains of Fukai Kōsen Spring in Ōno, Fukui Prefecture. Once a small hot spring inn frequented by locals and travelers, it has long since closed and now lies in ruins.

I first visited this site in the winter of 2021, but sadly, the footage I filmed then was lost in a fire. Returning here now, I found that the collapse of the building has advanced even further. Except for the Yakushi Hall that stands just behind, the former inn has almost completely crumbled, gradually returning to nature.

Fukai Kōsen was known from the Taishō through the Shōwa era as a therapeutic retreat. Its cold, iron-rich spring water was used for both bathing and drinking. At its peak, the site offered lodging for visitors, but as transportation and lifestyles changed, guest numbers dwindled, and the facility was eventually closed. Today, only the ruins and the surrounding quiet countryside remain as a trace of its past.
