Hidden Italian Gem for Peace Lovers | Relaxing 4K Walking Tour
Brief overview: Distance from Milan: 130 km Hello, my dear ones! I am very happy to see you! Get your virtual shoes on. We’re going on a very nice, peaceful walk. We are in Pisogne, a very beautiful, peaceful Italian village where you can still find tranquility. The railway Brescia–Iseo–Edolo reached Pisogne in 1907; the line is still operational. I must say that I haven’t seen such peaceful villages in a long time. It’s just like a fairy tale! Pisogne acts as the meeting point of lake and mountain — where alpine slopes descend directly to the water. Right now, I want to be a swan. How about you? The name Pisogne may derive from the Roman gens Pisonius or from Gallic “Bo-duno” (hut + enclosure). Mountains, lake, boat… what else do you need to be happy? The central square is visible behind the railroad tracks. We will return to it later. Pisogne is a gateway to Val Camonica, the long Alpine valley famous for rock engravings. The last weekend of September, Pisogne holds a Mushroom & Chestnut Festival with markets and shows. And now we’re going to see a beautiful beach. I think there won’t be many people there. Then we will find the river, they say it is very beautiful. I decided to skip the boring parts so you wouldn’t get bored, so… here we are. Friends, I would be very grateful for your comments and subscriptions. Please support our young channel. It looks like it’s not true! Unbelievable! These houses look like something out of a beautiful Italian fairy tale. Every two years, the Palio delle Contrade competition is held among the districts of the town. Pisogne is listed among the main towns of Lake Iseo, along with Lovere and Iseo. We’re going for a walk along the waterfront at sunset. It’s going to be incredibly beautiful! Pisogne’s historic centre descends toward the lake, creating a beautiful lakeside promenade ideal for romantic strolls. On the right, we see a pier from which you can reach many towns on Lake Iseo. The elevation of Pisogne is 187 meters above sea level. The population in 2011 was about 8,156 inhabitants. I promised to fix the microphone problem, and I did. The wind noise is gone. This embankment is beautiful! If you like peace and quiet, this is the place for you! Ten columns bearing the inscription Renato Guttuso, dedicated to the artist Romanino, were erected on the shore of the lake. The Torre del Vescovo (Bishop’s Tower) dates back to the 13th century and dominates the main square. The village center is composed of narrow arcades and ancient pastel-coloured palaces facing the lake. The Piazza Corna Pellegrini is surrounded by characteristic porticoes and old houses; the town square is central to local life. The town includes important churches: Santa Maria in Silvis (ancient) and Santa Maria Assunta (18th century). Thank you very much for watching!
