Oh, that that guy looks really angry. He’s got the
hump. Oh, they look good. Oh, yummy. They call it a uh a jun. Don’t know if I’ve absolutely
butchered that. When you think about China, you would normally think futuristic cities and
high skyscrapers, but we have got something a little bit different. This is the actual scenery
here in Xinjiang. We are in Tianshan Park to experience it and share it with you. I’m super
excited. I’ve never actually seen this side of China and I can’t wait to share it. So, it’s
surrounded by artificial lakes to stop the flooding, but they’re absolutely beautiful.
I don’t think I’ve seen water this like clear and then it’s got trees, mountains. It is
absolutely beautiful. So, everyone’s telling me that this guy is kind of famous. So, let
me know in the comments if you know he is and let me know who he is. But he’s wearing the
meat one outfit and he does the old dancing. Yeah. Apparently it’s going like real viral
here in um in China on um all their social media and stuff. Can you read the Yeah, he’s
he’s quite a dancer. We’re being coasted in you. Okay. You speak Are you
You speak English? English? No English? I don’t know how it’s come
to this. What we doing? We dancing. Okay, let’s go dance, man. Hold on for this.
Yeah, you this one. Nice one, man. Hey, my phone’s going off in my pocket. Yeah. Okay.
Okay. Okay. So basically someone had to take one for the team. Pony, right? He actually
bottled it. I was clapping. Yeah. He said, “I’m not dancing. I’m not dancing.” I went
over there and he he looked at me. I thought, “I’ve got to dance. I’m a little bit too unfit
for it, though. The geezer the geezer can move.” When you don’t think a lake could get any more
beautiful than the last one we just saw. Look at this. Absolutely stunning. And then we got
a waterfall here. Oh, look at that. There’s fishes in the pond. There’s ducks swimming
around. This is beautiful. So, we’re 2,000 m above sea level and we’re about 150 to 200 km
away from around. And I’ll tell you this now, right? We’re in the middle of nowhere basically.
And I’ve still got 5G on my phone. Oh, no. 4G on my phone. 4G. Yeah. And full signal. Yaks. Are
they yaks? Maybe. Yeah. Maybe they’re yaks. There is a horse in the back. You only see these sort
of animals like high elevation. We’re going out. Yes. Go, go, go. Let’s go, man. Y some meat.
Let’s go and get some yak meat. Something to put on the grill. Ponte, have
you ever eaten um yak meat? Yeah, it’s very popular. I had it in the poll. It’s
tasty. Yeah, it is tasty. It’s like beef. Yeah. Yes. Yes. I think all the animal rights
people are going to be writing in the comments. We’re only joking, by the way. Absolutely
not. Absolutely. Absolutely not. Hello, yuck. This is a really like stunning place.
The yaks are making babies. Oh, hello. We’ve got some explicit content here as well.
Don’t be shy. This is where babies come from. Getting a bit aggy. So this all this is the
boundary between South Xinjiang and this way and where we are now is North Xinjiang. Um, this
is like actually higher elevation. As you go up, the higher we get, there’s going to be like,
well, there is black bears that live here as well. But obviously, we don’t want to get
anywhere near them because that’s rather dangerous. And I’m not going to um get involved
with a black bear, that’s for sure. Skinny, is he? Very skinny. They’re all really skinny, aren’t
they? Yeah. They’re I suppose they’re wild horses. It’s like a tent over there. A huge thank you

Trust us, your future travels will thank you. Come here. Come here. Beautiful. Wow. All these wild horses. Amazing.
Being right up at this elevation. You’ve still got these roads which look actually look
relatively new. So infrastructure in China doesn’t just stop in the cities. I’ve also
branched out to the more rural areas. Well, the most rural areas in the whole of in the whole
of China, like a place like this where it’s you can’t really get to without a lot of effort,
you’ve still got brand new roads. These roads are really new. We are being called back. So, the bus
was behind us. We went ahead in the car cuz we was originally in the bus, but they obviously said,
“Let the uh let the foreigners go first.” So, which was very nice of them actually. So, but we
uh yeah, we told them to stop cuz we just wanted to see the yaks and the horses and stuff. But
um let’s let’s get back in and hurry up cuz I think they’ve got like a good meal waiting for
us. Take a look at Ponty. Look, G is a maniac. Don’t just He can’t be told. That’s a goose. I
know what a goose looks like. That one’s a duck, Ben. to be honest. Sweet. Yeah, that
is definitely a goose. To be honest, a goose. It looks like they’re really delicious.
So, right, I’m having a very good day today. It’s been very nice to see a lot of like really
breathtaking scenery, but I’ve had a first. Yeah, I’ve never seen a black swan in real life.
And look, it’s a black swan. And conveniently, this lake’s called Swan Lake. I know. It’s like
It’s like they know that black swan’s in there. I didn’t even know like black swans were even
real. That’s crazy. That’s crazy. How lucky are we? And also, is this animal a duck, a goose, or
a gray lag? A grrey lag? I think he’s Googled it’s a grrey lag. What is a gray? What is a gray? I’ve
seen this before in her whole entire life. Yeah. What is a grey lag? I’m con I was convinced
it was a goose. It just looks like a goose. Everyone was saying it was a duck. Turns out it’s
a greylag. Whatever grrey lag is. But that guy looks really angry. conversation. He’s got the
hump. He’s like, “What are you doing?” Okay, fine. Look at you. I It’s going to go over
people’s heads. It’s a little British thing. I tried telling the Chinese guy a minute
ago and he was like, “I’ve volunteered to uh ride the camel. He doesn’t like strangers, they
said, and he spits and he might bite. I just had five rabies jabs.” So, uh yeah, this one. Okay.
I’m on easy. He’s got like a a bolt for his nose. Feel like Feel like royalty. He’s fully unexpected. He don’t smell
that great to be honest. This is nice. It’s not that fun on your own cuz
obviously you got no one to talk to. He smell He smells. Does he smell? He smells. Yeah. So, this
is like a really obviously a really pretty place like the uh the camels and the horse riding and
stuff. So, obviously it’s got you’re going to have touristy things cuz there it’s obviously
a very popular touristy area. But I just found out some like mad information that um this this
blows my mind a little bit. But obviously if you didn’t know Beijing uh the whole of China or
on Beijing time the whole of China. So whether you’re in Guanja right down south or you’re right
up in Beijing or even further north maybe in like Harbin or something every everywhere has got the
same time unofficially the locals they in Xinjiang they add on 2 hours or they take 2 hours away
I can’t remember what he says. So really um like it’s 2:00 p.m. now and we haven’t had lunch. We’re
like oh what time we having lunch? He goes and the guy one of the local guys he said oh it’s it’s
only it’s only midday. It’s only 12:00. We said, “No, it’s not. It’s 2:00 p.m.” He said, “Oh,
when we use local time, we take off 2 hours, which I find mind-blowing, but obviously everyone
in Shing Jan sort of um sort of got used to it.” So, uh yeah, that’s how that’s just how they
do it. Crazy. So, this here, I asked I said, “Is this called a yurt?” Cuz I always thought
it was called a yurt, but um no, he said, “That’s Mongolian.” This is a Kazak style. They
call it a uh a jan. Don’t know if I’ve absolutely b butchered that. But yeah, that’s what this
is called. And these are all across like sort of the mountain ranges and that they’re the uh
the tents they use the Kazak cuz obviously Shing Jang’s got a is right on the border of Kazakhstan.
So they got a big Kazakhstan influx and Kazakhstan influence. Well, I’ve actually just been told
something quite interesting. So there is, forgive me on the numbers because I’m trying to
memorize it and it could be uh completely wrong, but there’s 57 ethnic groups in China in the whole
of China and there’s 46 of them them ethnic groups here in Xinjiang. So when we say it’s a very
multicultural multi-diverse uh population here in Xinjiang, it’s true. Yeah, it’s crazy. And I was
like, wow, that’s mad. And he went, “Yeah, yeah, really.” So they’ve got uh Kazaks, Ubekistan,
obviously like Han um and obviously the weagers. Just a quick ride down the mountain about an hour
and it over an hour. It’s worth far. But we’re on the coach quite a while. So I’ve actually brought
my laptop with me and I’ve been doing some work. But it looks like we’re going for lunch here.
The thing is it’s closer to dinner probably now than lunch cuz it’s half free. It’s been a lot
of traveling today though. There starving. Well, if you’re going to go and see sceneries like
that, you got to travel out the city and you’re quite far. Yeah. And it’s quite it’s quite a nice
break to um drive up a mountain rather than hike up a mountain. Could have been a long day if it
was hiking up. Oh, this looks very local. Oh, wow. Smells amazing. Tourists here, right? They’re
going to show us uh exactly how they cook their traditional meat bread. And apparently, this
place is the king of meat bread. That’s what the locals are saying. You have to wait for 5
minutes. see that cuz they’re cooking right now. Are they doing doing it right now? You guys
want to see that? Let’s see it. Let’s see it. You can see. Yeah. Yeah. They look stuffing
them. Let’s check them out. To be honest, we um come in a little bit
uninvited. So um to be fair, they wasn’t really expecting us.
Hello, Niha. Nih. What’s going on here? They’re going to show you guys. Yeah. One minute.
There you preparing herself. Yeah. Getting ready. Tell the husband off. You got
to show you guys. Yeah. At this. She’s definitely the boss. She
definitely wears the trousers. Women always are boss. Always. They
got to show you guys. Yeah. Just roll it flat. And then they’re going to stuff
it. So, we got some fresh meat there and some herbs and then fat. Oh, the best
part. You’re going to put fat in it. What’s this? Is this meat? We got onion and meat. This is beef. Beef. Beef. Beef. Yak. No. No. I
love beef. Love beef. Love beef. They got beef and onion. And they put it in the It’s not oven,
but they put it in there. Something like really that kind of make bread in that. Yeah. Yeah. Stick
it to the side. In. Okay. We got like a sausage roll. It’s like a similar thing but obviously
so we’re learning the wig language as well. So I’m learning as well.
I didn’t know it was I say correct. It’s correct. Yeah. Ah, that’s how they get the shade. And then
they bring it over here from there once it’s prepped and it sticks to the side and then
goes in this oven and cooks. All right. So, he’s just topping it up with some coal in there.
But they’re like cooking nicely on the side of the oven. You can see him crisping up. Look at
him. There’s loads in there. How do I keep track of give me a kill? More coal needed. We got ponty
over there as well. I’m buzzing for these. Wow. All around the edge. Oh, wa. It looks like a nest
from the bees. Honey nest. Really? Yeah. Yeah. No, I don’t agree with that. So, they’ve got
like a little set up here, so you can come just walk up here and buy them in a bag, pay
your WeChat, but they said they take about 5 to seven minutes to cook in there. I don’t know
if they clip it. I don’t know how it cooks the other side. It’s all to do with the He puts the
lid on and then the steam cooks it. Yeah. Oh, cuz I think he had the towel over it a minute ago.
Oh, they’re cooking. They’re looking good. Oh, how Ask him how long or were they done? Are
they finished? Yeah, it’s Are they done? Yeah, they’re done. Wow. Get it up. You can’t eat it.
They smell amazing. So, how will we get them off without dropping them? That’s the skill. The
moment we’ve all been waiting for. Oh, we’re going up here, are we? Oh, thank you. Oh, they
look good. Oh, yummy. They’re going to be good. Yeah, everyone understands. Here
you go. How does he get him out? Oh, that’s how he does it. knocked them
out and it goes into the big spoon. Oh, look at them. Oh, I’m looking forward to them. Come on. Our
food’s there. We got to go. Let’s go. Let’s go. Is that fake? Look at this bread. bread, skewers, noodles. This
is literally like our dreams. This is so good. So, we’re like a local from the top.
Oh, you got to do it from top. So, we’re like a local now. You got to slide it
off into your noodles. Yeah. I just just saw him do it and I say that’s how that’s how you
do it. I’ve been I’ve been eating them from the stick. I need to put the meat here. Yeah. This
looks absolutely delicious. Oh, wow. Wow. M. That meat is so juicy and flavorful. Then we got our noodles. I hope that’s not spicy.
It looks spicy. Is your mic on? Yeah. M. It looks tomatoy. M. That’s well nice. You
got a little kick. It’s got like sesame seeds in there. That’s really nice. Are they proper
hot? Yeah. Wow. Hot. We’ll let them cool down for a bit before we try them. But I’m well
excited. Just one. Most people most people have zero. Slow. It’s hot. It’s okay. It’s
okay. It feels feels okay. It’s very good. Try it when it’s inside. Yeah. Not stinging on
the meat are. Yeah. There’s loads of meat in it. Beef and onions. Literally like Cornish
pashi. Same sort of thing. Same sort of flavor. Delicious. Delicious. Looks thick.
Like steak meat. All right, guys. We are back out. It’s evening time. We just went back to our
accommodation and they did us a beautiful spread of food. We had sheep, beef, chicken, everything.
It was massive. Um, but we’ve just come to watch the sunset here and we’re at this lovely tower
here. And Ben probably knows a lot more than me. This one represents the green dragon. That one’s
the red dragon in the distance. And that’s about all I know. Yeah, it’s kind of like one of Chinese
like stories, like a fairy tale story. Yeah, they because couples come here, but they
also believe that there’s a ghost here. So, uh yeah, it’s all spooky in there. But we’re
going to jump back in our cool car. Look, we’ve been upgraded from the coach. We got our
own private suite now. Ponty shotgun. All right. After like driving around for so long, I swear he
got lost. You got lost twice. He got lost twice, did he? Yeah. We’ve come to look at viewpoint.
Polly was like, “You lost again.” But we’re just walking up here now. I think we got sunsets about
20 to no in here and it’s like just gone 10 8. So, I think we’re at the perfect time. Actually, it’s
getting a little bit chilly. It’s a jumpers with us. Ben’s already put his on. Yeah, I’m getting
prepared. Does get cold. But when we were driving up here, it looked amazing. So, I think the
views are going to be spectacular. All right, check this out for the view. This is absolutely
stunning. We’ve got the moon still out over there. We’ve got snow cap mountains just poking
out and then you can see the city. So, this is like a 360 view of the whole city. We’re
116,000 m above sea level. Did I get it right? No, I think it was it was 1116. It was 1,116. So 1,116
m above sea level up here. So quite high up. We were going up some windy roads, but it’s worth it
for these views. These are lovely. But if we go through a bit more, you see, look, the city. We
got Oh, look a glass floor. I don’t really know why. It just goes down some to some tree bushes.
But it’s actually like quite busy and popular up here. We just got sun setting over there. So
that must be the spot. The music’s on. That means we need to hide cuz they’re definitely
going to try and drag us in dancing. Look. So, I’m trying to get a picture of Ben and
he’s literally the Look, he’s gone. He’s gone again. I’m like taking a nice picture. Look
at all these husbands, boyfriends, aren’t they? Taking pictures for their girlfriends. And Ben’s
just wandering off. Come on, I want a picture. Oh, I don’t this is not I don’t like this fact.
Look at these guys photos. These guys Chinese guys so good at pictures. Chinese guys are
very learn from them. Chinese Chinese husbands and boyfriends are very good at pictures but it’s
not my thing. I don’t like pictures. Good morning guys. This keeps happening. We keep forgetting
to film in the evening. We get so tired. So we do something and then we always got like 40
minutes to an hour drive back to accommodation. So we’re so knackered when we get back that
we forget to finish the video. But yesterday, another good day. It was more of a chilled day.
We finished the evening off with a show which was amazing. It was like a love story. It seems to be
a thing here in China of um a girl meets a boy, he’s poor, the dad don’t approve, so the guy
got rich and then they got married. It’s like kind of Yeah. But it’s kind of like China’s
kind of stories. So when we watch like a show, it’s kind of like what the story line. It’s always
about a man guy falling in love with a girl. Um, which is lovely. I love a romantic story. But it
was really good. Brilliant. Got tried to get us up to dance, but we were like, we’re so danced out.
There’s so much dancing here in this province. So, if you love dancing, definitely come here cuz
you’re going to be doing it all the time. So, obviously, when we got back after the show, it was
like half 11, 12:00 at night. Me and Muel Pointy, uh, who’s a really bad influence on me. Every
time I see him, we end up having a few beers. But I did say at the beginning of the series, I am
totally off the alcohol because I’ve been doing it too much. Well, yesterday it all crumbled thanks
to Ponzi. Yeah, we just went for a few beers and uh I ended up getting it at too like 1 or 2:00
in the morning. 1:00. 1:00 in the morning. Rianne didn’t even bother coming out. She just went to
sleep. So, uh yeah, that was a really nice way to cap it off. But I will say this province has
totally surprised me. It’s been so amazing. I’ve loved it so much. Everyone’s friendly. The culture
is amazing. The food is unbelievable. Honestly, it’s possibly the best food I’ve had in China.
It’s so good. Um, yeah, I would say to anyone if you’re thinking about coming to Shing Jang,
you should definitely do it cuz the scenery as well is amazing. So, make sure you watch the
next video. We’re going to a new province, a new city. It’s like a 4-hour flight. That’s
how big China is, man. It’s absolutely huge. But, we’re staying up north. So, if you want
to see where we’re going, subscribe. And we’re about 38 kil kilometers from Runi. All right. I thought it was 200. He’s got
some He’s got some yak [ __ ] on him. Oh man. Oh, is he treading it?
He’s treing. Hello. Hello. Gety up.

Xinjiang, China is one of the most unique places we’ve ever visited. In this video, I head far beyond the tourist trail into the rural heartland, where the media tell you not to go, but why? In this episode we explore the side of china we have never seen.

We mix with Uygur locals, share meals, dance together, and experience daily life in places where most foreigners never go. From traditional food cooked with love to spontaneous moments of music and celebration, this is Xinjiang like you’ve never seen it before.

  1. US' NED funded media claimed that the Mulims in Xinjang are oppressed. The US President recently claimed at the UN Gen Assembly that the Brits are living under Islamic Sharia Laws.
It doesn't matter true or false. There're always millions believe what those NED's funded media claimed.

  2. 12分钟的时候说57个民族其实不太对,目前是56,如果台湾原住民族愿意加入就是57了😂

  3. "Are you trying to fool others? If Muslims are not allowed to practice Islam here, or if Muslim women are banned from wearing the hijab and are being monitored, unable to pray or fast — then stop fooling people. If there are truly no such restrictions, then make sure to show it in the video: women performing prayers, especially young women wearing the hijab, and particularly girls."

  4. Just going off the top of my head I am pretty sure Yunnan Province has the most diversity as far as national minorities. It is cute that 1,100 meters is high country for the English. Here in just the state of California we have 10 peaks 4k+ in elevation. If you are continuing north there will be much higher peaks and elevated grasslands to enjoy.

  5. I wonder who would order food from meituen at this remoted area, if that delivery guy were not an extra, it would definitely have my jaws dropped😅. Give likes to this vlog, fellas.

  6. 非常感谢你向全世界真实、生动地介绍我们伟大的祖国,让更多人了解她的辉煌与独特魅力。祝你旅途愉快,平安顺利,也希望你的每一次经历都充满美好与收获。

  7. You are off the beaten track. Thank you for showing us places that most tourists do not go in China. The contrasting scenery of mountains and water and trees is stunning. It is interesting to note that China is so technologically advanced and the government ensures that it serves the people by building efficient infrastructure including communication in remote places. In the UK we often get poor signals or no signals on our mobile phones in certain places.

  8. I watch all of your videos guys. I would like to make a request. It would be fantastic if you could put the names of the places you’re visiting in the description, as I would really like to visit some of these places when I get the chance but it helps to know where you actually are. There is much about Xinjiang that is amazing, and of course the same could be said of China as a whole.

  9. The lakes and the views look gorgeous!
People like to say that their culture is being erased, but here you are trying many of their food & watching people dance their dances a ton 😅

  10. omg, you guys still in Xinjiang, love to catch up haha Yes, I was in Tianshan Park not long ago, it was amazing! Your dance is so funny, btw haha Love your comments at the end, don't forget this is where US claimed Chinese gov is conducting genocide, what a lie!

  11. interesting! you've got a level-8 commercial. I have two level-8 cases, 20' and 24' repectively. They are well made, solid and smooth. recommend!
