【九州跳島遊EP04:壹岐島自由行|猿岩~壹岐ICON千年巨石猴奇景|壹岐之藏酒造株式會社「隊燒酎、調GIN酒」】
Hello everyone, I am Uncle 9. Today, I will continue to explore the fun of Iki Island with you – where to go? -Today we will go to see Saru Rock, then go to the Iki-no-Kura Sake Brewery for a study tour , and then go to a craft beer specialty store to drink. Because I’m driving, it’s not me who drinks, but my sister-in-law. Then we’ll see if there are any interesting places along the way, stop to take pictures, and then set off! Before going to see Saru Rock, Uncle 9 wanted to finish the day view of the hotel where we stayed and have breakfast with the incomparable sea view of Yumoto Bay. It was really refreshing to have breakfast with this view! The sea is boundless. The sea is boundless, just like a treasure chest – so amazing. Yes, I don’t know if you can catch it in time. I can only say that it was full of visual effects when it was opened . What did we eat today? It doesn’t matter if we don’t understand Japanese. Like dinner, there was Chinese breakfast. Of course, it was not as good as dinner. Many people thought that the fried black abalone tempura was very good. The Huaishan mud tuna rice wine and the miso soup cooked with fish were quite surprising and delicious ! If you are interested in this hotel,
you can go back to the introduction in the previous episode. Saruwa Rock can be said to be the representative symbol of Iki Island. According to legend, the Japanese gods created 8 sacred pillars to prevent Iki Island from being washed away by the water. Saru Iwa is as long as the introduction in the previous episode. Like Sakibashi, this 45-meter-high basalt rock is one of the “Iki 8 Pillars”. Its size alone is enough to shock the eye. You can tell at a glance whether it looks like a giant ape or a purely natural orangutan. There are many types of orangutans. Which one does it look like? I immediately thought of the CoCo Ichibanya orangutan. There are many kinds. It could be the orangutan from “SLAM DUNK”, the Akagi kind of orangutan , or the cute kind. It’s the chimpanzee kind – the
Monchhichi kind? -Is Monchhichi an orangutan? Monchhichi is a horse. Don’t leave immediately after checking in. There is a specialty shop next to the parking lot that is worth a visit . It is worth a visit. It is especially placed at the door. It is very cheap and has a design. It is only 500 Yen . 500 Yen seems expensive, so what about 100 Yen? -Buy two? -OK! I bought two wild boars, but it’s only 200 yen. The store mainly sells specialty products, such as Iki beef curry, especially the interesting peripherals related to Saru Rock. Don’t get me wrong. This is not a trendy bathing monkey man TEE , but a Saru Rock TEE. Of course, there is also a monkey rock shaped souvenir to bless our family. How about taking a Jizo back? What does the front of Saru Rock look like? I just happened to pass by while driving, and I took a photo to show everyone that it looks
100% like an ape. There is a small attraction about 1 minute’s drive from Saru Rock – the traces of the Kurosaki Fort . During World War II, the entrance of the fort set up to attack ships passing through the Tsushima Strait was on display. The cannonballs used by the Yamato and Kurosaki Forts are on display
. You can also enter the potholes to experience the war heritage itself , which was known as the No. 1 fort in Japan at that time . Originally, you could see the huge potholes in the fort here , but due to the 2005 earthquake off the western coast of Fukuoka Prefecture, cracks appeared in the ceiling and walls inside the fort and there was a danger of collapse at any time, so entry was prohibited. Now only a small section is open for everyone to feel it, but it is very serious. Let me tell you, Uncle 9 felt quite eerie that day when he went in that morning. It was the kind of thing that gave me chills down my spine. If you are not a military fan, you will feel like you have been there after watching this video. As an alcoholic, I will of course go to the distillery to hang out and drink. I visited Iki no. Kuro Shuzo Co., Ltd. has a history of more than 400 years. Although it is a time-honored brand, it is not rigid at all.
I can describe it as three-in-one: delicious, fun, and beautiful. The first stop is to go to the sake warehouse to listen to the wine story. This old winery keeps pace with the times.
Some of the wine uses Spanish snow. Sherry barrels are matured for a long time and the wine will be more aromatic and mellow when drunk. The tour guide sister said that because there are many Sherry barrels here , many people come to visit the winery. She said that it seemed like they were visiting wineries in Europe and the United States . Taking pictures at this location was like going to a foreign country and going directly to the inside of the winery! It is said that making shaozhu takes a lot of time, starting from the raw material processing, and it takes a full year to ship . On the day of the shooting, we saw the rice washing process, and tons of rice poured down in front of our eyes. It was really spectacular . If you don’t understand something, you can also inquire about this experience with the winery staff on the spot. It’s not that this good fragrance is everywhere , it’s the aroma of a ton of rice. Next, let’s look at the fermentation process of barley burning. Barley burning requires two fermentations. The first time is to add shochu yeast to rice koji to cultivate the yeast. The second time is to add water and wheat to process the mahogany sake and then ferment it. Finally, the twice-processed mahogany sake will be transferred to the still, heated and distilled to make shochu. This brewery There are traditional atmospheric distillation and relatively new vacuum distillation. According to my sister, vacuum distillation shochu is lighter in taste and has less foreign flavors. It is not as rich in flavor as shochu brewed by normal pressure distillation. After learning, don’t rush to drink. Here is a self-made GIN wine experience. Use several GIN wines based on Iki shochu to make a unique GIN by yourself. Classmates, now we are taking the first step in class. We first pick up the pencil. First , we see that there are many different flavors of GIN wine at the back, including blueberry, ginger, strawberry, and grapefruit . Mix them to prepare your own original GIN wine. Look below. Each of us can make 300ml, which means that 1,000 Yen can take away 300ml of wine. It is very cheap! Let’s try the flavor first. It has a strong shochu flavor of blueberry . It doesn’t have a blueberry flavor . The alcohol concentration is over 40 degrees, which is reasonable. It says that this one has a refreshing taste and the fragrance of fresh rosemary . It is very fragrant. This one is very good. I may choose this as the base of yuzu. I personally like yuzu and it is rich in aroma. , if grapefruit and rosemary are the best for the intensity of aroma, then I have decided on the ingredients now. I will use rosemary as the base and allocate 150ml to rosemary. I think it should have a bit of ginger flavor. I will give 20ml first, then grapefruit and strawberry. I think strawberry is quite good. I will give 50ml . Do you think it’s right ? That’s it, it’s a completely experimental game ! Give 50ml of grapefruit and give the rest to blueberries ! Done OK! 300ml squat is so hard! The deep squat (smell the mixed flavor) is completed by using this machine to seal it ! When I came to these two islands, I found that I fell in love with the mothers-in-law here. They are very cute and must be labeled. Where are they made? Uncle 9’s original GIN wine made in this winery , Japanese Iki GIN wine . As a drinker, I am really happy. 1,000 Yen’s own original GIN wine is just my poor labeling. If I had posted it better and told people that I bought it in the store, no one would suspect it with this label! Finally, the actual tasting is here. You can try all the shochu you see in front of you, from the classic and rich wheat-flavored signature to the limited shochu, you can choose from them all! Chen Sheng, it’s you again! Sister , thank you for your hard work. From beginning to end, even during the tasting session, sister greeted us ! Thank you for your hard work! We rarely drink shochu, and we don’t know much about shochu. We can only share the wines that we actually tried and were satisfied with and actually paid for. One was the Sarugawa Taru shochu and the other was the Deluxe 25 degrees . Because I was driving and didn’t drink,
I had to drink water . As the saying goes, the most important thing in making sake is water. They use groundwater 130 meters underground. This is the water that this winery is proud of . You can actually try it and drink it. It feels like mineral water that is so refreshing. The video for this episode ends here. The next episode will introduce a craft beer shop that I like very much and a barbecue restaurant that I like very much.
