We’re currently at Sapporo Station, where we’re headed for Otaru . We’re so nervous waiting for the 10:30 train, it’s almost leaving . The train from Sapporo Station to Otaru offers beautiful ocean views along the way. It was already raining heavily when we arrived in Otaru, so what’s our itinerary for today? Our first stop after exiting Otaru Station was Triangle Market. It was raining heavily and a bit cold, like a rainy day in late autumn . The wind was incredibly cold. Triangle Market has become a tourist attraction. It’s not a big place, just one alley , but there are many tourists. There are several restaurants that serve rice bowls, sashimi, and other seafood . There are also many seafood restaurants. Famous seafood bowls include Takeda and Takinami Shokudo . This time we chose Takinami Shokudo . It was incredibly crowded and the line was incredibly long. If you really can’t make your choice, there are also prepared rice bowls, which are also quite good. 10 ingredients for 5500 yen, a good deal . Besides the rice bowls, there are also other grilled seafood. I ordered the custom bowl. The rice can be converted to crab miso soup for an extra 550 yen , but we only
wanted regular miso soup, which was delicious. We ordered a regular-sized bowl of rice, which was quite large, almost two bowls. We had a bite of rice first, followed by the sea urchin , and then the scallops . The scallops were crispy and had a sweet, refreshing texture that you don’t get in Hong Kong. There was also a kind of texture I can’t describe. I think the ones I had in Hong Kong were softer, but the ones here were crispy and had a hint of scallop . The texture was definitely different from what I had in Hong Kong, and I ‘m not exaggerating. Even the sushi ginger was delicious. I love sushi ginger, and this was delicious . Next was the tuna, which melted in your mouth.
My son doesn’t eat tuna, so he didn’t know how fresh it was. Tuna of this quality would cost around 4000 yen, or around HKD200. This bowl of tuna would cost HKD4 with a side dish . It’s over 400, so that’s about right. I usually don’t eat salmon because it has a fresh, umami flavor , but I found this one incredibly filling and filling. It also comes with scallops and finally the crab claws. It’s delicious without any seasoning . I can’t think of any other way to describe it except for its sweetness . I tried it too. The shrimp are super fresh, and you can taste the sweetness and fragrance. You can also get it in Hong Kong, but frankly, it’s not as fragrant. There were a lot of people lining up in front and behind us. It’s Friday, and besides tourists, there were also local Japanese people. We waited for about 40 minutes, and now there’s a line outside. So, if you want to eat here, make sure you try. Come early because the later you go, the more people arrive. There’s a long line now. After eating, they give everyone lollipops to wash away the seafood smell. I really recommend this place. Besides the restaurant, Takibo, they also sell seafood. Several seafood restaurants are also from this place. Honestly, other seafood donburi restaurants are really inferior. Triangle Market is just a straight road and it’s very fast to walk through. But there are some unique items, such as this honeydew ice cream. There are also dried seafood. Go straight and you will reach the exit, but there are no blue skies and white clouds. The rain just stopped, so the sky is dark and the river is muddy. It’s lucky that it’s not raining now. It rained heavily last night. The canal is not large, so the nearby shops are our target. This brand. Everyone knows about the desserts here, but there are some that are only available at this shop. You can try them right away when you enter . These cookies come in milk and cheese flavors. The cheese flavor is particularly good because it has a rich, fragrant cheese flavor. This is a very clever idea. After trying them, I will definitely buy them because they are delicious. I ‘ve just had a lot of desserts at this shop, and this brand is also very delicious. I used to think that things like White Lover were much better, but they are so delicious. I want to buy a lot of them too . Doesn’t it feel like going back to the old days?
This place is full of restaurants, and the whole area is super retro and cute. I just walked here from the canal , and the next destination is Otaru Romantikana. There are also many places worth visiting along the way. This is a music shop. The Music Box store sells only music boxes, and each one is unique. This one is so cute for 4730 yen. These are all made in Japan and feature famous music boxes . Take a look carefully to see if there’s a favorite song. This one has a moving spaceship when you open it, and this one has a Ferris wheel. I passed by a matcha shop called [Cha He He] and saw this one. It was so attractive that I couldn’t resist copying a line from their line. The matcha flavor is rich, but not bitter, right? I think it’s quite delicious . 700 yen is over HK$30 , but ice cream in Japan is not cheap, usually starting at 300 yen. At a matcha specialty shop, 700 yen is acceptable. I think this one is worth a try. This is a sample, not the real thing, but this one is sold out. How about the MIFFY tray? For 1320 yen, there’s Miffy Dorayaki, also limited to the Otaru branch. Miffy cookies are so cute. These are shaped like Miffy bread… The packaging is so cute, and the cookies are packaged like milk bottles. Miffy fans must come to the second floor. There’s tons of Miffy merchandise, and it’s so exciting . Miffy fans would probably cry right there because there’s so much to buy, and they don’t know which one to get. They’re so excited. There’s also a Snoopy store across the street , but we didn’t go because we hadn’t reached our destination yet. The whole street is just a waste of money, and there’s no chance for anyone to rest. You have to visit Rokkatei and Kitakaro, which are clearly marked as not sold at New Chitose Airport. Kitakaro’s treasure, Fairy Forest, is actually a Baumkuchen cake. A lot of the puffs in the store are sold out, too. Many people also buy this rice cracker, okaki, each one a piece. I bought some confectionery from Kitanokoro, but we didn’t try any. So, we went to Rokkatei . The white chocolate strawberries are a must-buy at Rokkatei. They’re super delicious. I haven’t had them in a long time. I also love this chocolate cookie. It has white chocolate with Hokkaido butter and raisins. It’s super delicious. I haven’t had it in a long time because it’s so expensive in Hong Kong. This is a new butter cake, but I haven’t tried it. This one isn’t sold at the airport. The confectionery called “One Pot” is a thin pancake with red bean and rice cake filling . There are a lot of items you can only find here. There’s another product sold on the second floor. There’s also a small cafe, only on the second floor. They sell this ” Yuki-kon Tzu” cocoa chocolate cookie for 280 yen. There’s also Rokkatei merchandise. It’s so cute, there’s tape, towels , pencils, ballpoint pens, even aprons, and L-shaped clips. It’s hilarious. This whole street doesn’t feel like Japan, it has a European vibe. We walked from Otaru to Minami-Otaru today. Now I’m returning to Sapporo from Minami Otaru. This is the egg roll I’ve repurchased many times. Of course, there’s also my coffee . Today, I found one that I opened first. This is today’s midnight snack. We bought it at Lawson. Last night’s was from FamilyMart. It looks like this. Take one out. It’s not soft, it’s MOCHI MOCHI. The Chinese version is… it’s chewy and has a great texture. The cream is also… the cream is quite rich. I prefer the crust over the cream. The whole texture is really good, so I absolutely recommend it. It’s 318 yen for one person and very filling. If two or three people share, two or three people will have just enough to share. The peach pie is 320 yen , all priced before tax. It comes with half a peach pie. First, I want to talk about the concept of the canned peach. The peach is artificially sweetened, not with a natural base. It’s okay, like a regular fruit pie base, worth a try. Also, this pink cream is for decoration. The boss keeps messing with his pudding. The pudding bottle is not plastic and will break after eating . You can wash it and reuse it , but I already have a lot of stewed milk at home . How about stewed milk? My friend, the stewed milk guy , this one costs over 500 yen. The bottle is already 400 yen. It’s a cold stewed milk. I don’t know why it’s so expensive. Maybe it’s because the milk is good. It’s not sweet. When I opened it, it smelled like cheese, not stinky spices.
