【海の京都】天橋立・伊根の舟屋で出会う絶景と歴史的街並み

Good morning. This is Kei. ☺️ Today’s journey begins at Kyoto Station. I’m taking the 7:32 AM express train to a place known as “Kyoto of the Sea”! This time, I’ll be touring Amanohashidate and Ine. Finally, I’ll be able to see the scenery I’ve always wanted to see. The start of a journey is always exciting. I’m excited for a new journey. I arrive at Nishi-Maizuru Station. From here, I transfer to the Kyotango Railway. I buy a ticket to Amanohashidate. I’ll be riding this yellow train. When you think of Kyoto, you might not think of the sea. But this time, I’m heading to a seaside town that’s different from the usual Kyoto. I’m going to see a new side of Kyoto. I’m looking forward to it. A train running over the sea. A view you can only see from here, one I’ve always wanted to see. I arrive at Amanohashidate Station. First, I head to Amanohashidate View Land. Even though it’s a weekday, there are quite a few tourists. I buy a lift ticket for 1,000 yen. It takes six minutes to climb to the top. It seems like there’s still a lot to see. I’ve come a long way. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted with a spectacular view. Pine trees line the sandbar, making it look like a bridge spanning the sky. I took this photo with my legs stretched out between my legs. Next, I walked across Amanohashidate. This bridge is a rotating bridge. It rotates 90 degrees when a boat passes through. What a magnificent pine tree! I wanted to eat at this restaurant, but it was closed. What a shame! 😭 While wondering what to do, I was tempted and walked along the beach. What a dilemma! As I walked down the street, I discovered a crab sushi bento. It was a luxurious bento made exclusively with Kasumi crabs. 🤤 It was packed with crab and delicious. Thank you for the meal. I’m now heading to Ine by bus. It’s about an hour from Amanohashidate. The view from the window is completely different from the Kyoto I’ve seen so far. We’ve arrived in Ine. The water is crystal clear. Let’s take a walk around the town of Ine. It’s a nostalgic, atmospheric landscape. I also visited Yasaka Shrine in Ine. The view from there is also amazing. There was a vacant spot on a small boat, so we decided to take it. The captain guided us as we went. Aoshima Island floats in the middle of Ine Bay. It serves as a breakwater protecting the bay. Apparently, whales used to come into Ine Bay in the past. The second floor of this boathouse is used as a guest room, a private inn, or a guest room. We ate in the main house. The second floor of the boathouse apparently functions as a detached building. Apparently , this area was used as a filming location for a TV drama. Currently, there are approximately 230 boathouses around Ine Bay, and the area has been designated an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings. The captain gave us some Kappa Ebisen crackers. Seagulls were gathering! They came quite close. It was a truly valuable experience to have such a fun boat ride for just 1,000 yen. Today, we thoroughly enjoyed Kyoto by the Sea. It’s sad to say goodbye, but it’s time to head home. If you enjoyed this video, please like and subscribe!
