【4K 2025年上高地】一生に一度は行きたい絶景一泊二日の旅 グルメ満喫-上高地温泉ホテル(大正池・河童橋・明神池)
A two-day trip to see the spectacular views of Kamikochi. Enjoy Kamikochi to the fullest. We took the first shuttle bus to Kamikochi. The course we walked on was from Taisho Pond to Kappa Bridge to Myojin Pond. We stayed at Kamikochi Onsen Hotel. When the beautiful Hotaka mountains came into view, our expectations and excitement grew. We arrived at Taisho Pond at 6:10 AM. Mt. Yakedake was reflected in the mirror-like Taisho Pond. We were able to see the very quiet and beautiful Taisho Pond. We went to the far right and saw some ducks. Beyond that, the pure white Mt. Hotaka was reflected on the water, which was fantastic. We passed Kappa Bridge 4km away and headed for Myojin Pond 7.5km away. Kasumizawadake Push-out. We walked for about 10 minutes from Taisho Pond. The dead trees are a testament to the eruption of Mt. Yakedake. However, their numbers are decreasing year by year. The water of the Azusa River was very clear and sparkling blue. 3km to Kappa Bridge. 1500m above sea level. It was cold that day, with the temperature at 5°C. We arrived at the Tashiro Marsh. Suddenly the view opened up and the marsh appeared. Beyond the marsh, Mt. Hotaka appeared. While looking at Mt. Hotaka, we headed to the nearby Tashiro Marsh. The Tashiro Marsh. It is said that it was about 5m deep in the Taisho era. Now it has been covered with sediment and plants. It is gradually becoming a marsh. The Azusa River course that I usually take was closed. I took the forest course for the first time. It is a shame that I can’t see the riverbank along the Azusa River, but I was able to hear many beautiful birds. I met monkeys just before the Tashiro Bridge. They were eating tree buds. This was the beginning of many monkeys that I will meet from now on. Tashiro Bridge. There were two pairs with baby monkeys. I think they were about one week old. They were very cute, so I watched them carefully so as not to startle them. I met about 20 monkeys around the Tashiro Bridge. Hotaka Bridge. There are monkeys in places like this too. The Azusa River seen from Hotaka Bridge was very blue and clear. After crossing the Kasumizawa Bridge, many people were taking pictures of Hotaka. Just ahead was the riverbank in front of the Kamikochi Onsen Hotel. Weston Monument. It represents West, who spread the charm of Kamikochi to the world. Kappa Bridge. We were able to see Hotaka on a clear day. TROIS CINQ Kamikochi. It was 9:30 a.m. A popular apple pie shop. It is located just after crossing the Kappa Bridge. It is a gourmet shop representing Kamikochi. Apple pie is said to be the most popular in Kamikochi. When I came here before, there was a huge line and I couldn’t buy it. I finally got it. Shinshu fully ripe Fuji apple pie 650 yen. It was filled with chunky apples. It had a delicious apple and honey flavor. We headed for Myojin Pond, 3.5 km away. About 300 m from the Kappa Bridge. Another spectacular view of Hotaka spread out before us. If you turn right a little off the route, you will reach Dakezawa Marsh. Dakezawa Marsh. The view of the green marsh and Mt. Rokuhyaku was very beautiful. It is 3km to Myojin Pond. The terrain gradually becomes more undulating from this point on. The moss-covered bridge blends into the nature and is very charming. 1.7km from Kappa Bridge, the beautiful Mt. Yake can be seen. The riverbank opens up and I step out onto the Azusa River. The mountain in front of me is Mt. Rokuhyaku. The water was very cold. It is 1.1km to Myojin Pond. It is getting tough, but I continue walking while enjoying the scenery. Okumiya of Hotaka Shrine. Myojin Pond. The torii gate indicates that this is a sacred place. It is integrated with Myojin Pond and creates a mysterious atmosphere. Myojin Ninoike Pond is a pond that seems to have been artificially created. It is 12:30 and I have lunch. Kamonjigoya, a hut I have always wanted to visit. It is a famous restaurant for grilled salted trout. There is also a wide selection of alcoholic and soft drinks. I buy them from the vending machine. Kamonji is a famous man who served as a hiking guide in Weston. While we were waiting, we were shown the hearth. It was grilled deliciously. Salt-grilled set meal 2000 yen. You can eat it from head to tail. We start from the head. It was well-grilled and very soft. Mountain vegetable soba 1000 yen. It is said to be handmade soba made using traditional methods. It had the original aroma and flavor of soba. Thank you for the meal . Myojin Bridge is right in front of us. Myojin Bridge. After passing under the bridge, Mt. Myojin appears in front of you. I am impressed by the exquisite balance. It is said that writers Ryunosuke Akutagawa and Kotaro Takamura were also deeply moved by the sight of Mt. Myojin looming before their eyes . The Azusa River looked even bluer. We head for Kappa Bridge via Konashizawa. Myojinkan. You can eat and stay here. The approach to the inner shrine of Hotaka Shrine starts from here. Continue with Mt. Myojin on your right. The newly sprouted buds were colored red. They are also known as spring leaves. We arrived at Konashizawa. We passed through the campsite to see the magnificent view of the riverbank. I think this is the most beautiful view in Konashizawa. If you turn around, you can see Mt. Yakedake. We left Konashizawa behind. We could see Kappa Bridge. It was 3:10 p.m. We had dessert. GOSENJAK. Sweets Cafe & Bar LOUNGE at Gosenjaku Hotel Kamikochi. We took a relaxing break while looking at Hotaka. We ordered rare cheese cake and apple pie. There are various menus, but we chose the first and second most popular. We also ordered iced coffee. Cold brewed iced coffee 980 yen. Rare cheesecake 990 yen. Shinshu Fuji apple pie 1,045 yen. The prices are a little high, but we spent a blissful time looking at Hotaka. It was rich, yet very smooth and creamy. We were able to spend a luxurious time. We crossed Kappa Bridge and headed to the hotel. Today was a sunny day. The hotel is about 1km from Kappa Bridge. Kamikochi Onsen Hotel. This is a historic hotel where both Ryunosuke Akutagawa and Kotaro Takamura stayed. Mt. Rokuhyaku and the Azusa River spread out in front of you. Check-in. Front desk. The lobby has a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The shop has a wide selection of souvenirs. Our room is near the center of the third floor, on the side overlooking Mt. Rokuhyaku and the Azusa River. The room is an 8-tatami Japanese-style room with a relaxing atmosphere. We checked out the view from our room, which we had been curious about. Mt. Rokuhyaku (left) and Mt. Kasumizawa are right in front of us . We could also hear the murmuring of the Azusa River. The view was even better than we expected and we were impressed. On the left we could see Mt. Myojin and Maehotaka 3090m. WIFI is available. We ate the sweets that were prepared for us. Kamikochi matcha warabi mochi. It was moist and delicious. The amenities were in the closet. The spring water from Kamikochi was delicious. DINNER. The dishes are creative, using local ingredients. We were given an explanation of the dishes. The menu is based on the theme of “Spring in Kamikochi. ” Appetizer. Wild vegetables and firefly squid with vinegared miso, boiled wasabi greens. Duck loin with orange flavor, bee larvae cheese, grilled yam with butterbur miso. Aperitif: apple wine. Shinshu salmon. Herring, bamboo shoots, butterbur, mugwort koji, green maple leaf koji. I ordered the local sake “Kamikochi Beer”. It has a sweet aroma of caramel malt and a refreshing bitterness. It was a full-bodied beer. Shinshu salmon is a fish developed by Nagano Prefecture. It was more fatty than the salmon I usually eat, and it melted in my mouth. Appetizer: wild vegetable soba. It was delicious with lots of mushrooms and wild vegetables. Hot dish: beef hotpot. Benefits: Neuralgia, back pain, muscle pain, joint pain, fatigue recovery, etc. It warmed my body to the core and removed the fatigue of the day. View from the balcony. Night quietly deepens. The starry sky was very beautiful. Morning quietly greets. DAY 2. The morning mist is refreshing. Mt. Yakedake and the hotel are illuminated by the morning sun. Azusa River in front of the hotel. 5:30 am. The mist is very fantastic. It was worth getting up early. We go to see the magnificent morning view of Konashizawa. We will return in time for breakfast. In the morning, the chirps of the birds sound even louder and more beautiful. It is about 1 km to Kappa Bridge. Kappa Bridge at 6:00 am. This is my first time to see an unmanned Kappa Bridge. Kappa Bridge is for our own use. The first bus hadn’t arrived yet. It’s a view you can’t experience unless you stay overnight. It looks like it’s going to be a good day today. Hotaka in the early morning is the best. Konashizawa Campsite 6:20am. A family of monkeys? It was a heartwarming sight. The majestic Hotaka mountain range came into view beyond the tent. I envy the campers who wake up in the morning with such a beautiful view. I got up early to see this. Hotaka is a beautiful view from any angle, but it’s even better from here. I saw Yakedake and returned to the hotel. Just when I thought that, I encountered another mother and child monkey. A baby monkey, maybe about one month old. There was a group of monkeys between Kappa Bridge and the hotel. The road was blocked. I was able to see a lot of monkeys. BREAK FAST. Breakfast is a buffet style. It’s nice that they have a mix of Japanese and Western dishes. I was hungry from my morning walk, so I ate a lot. I tried Kurosengoku soybean natto, which is rare. It had more flavor and richness than regular natto. Thank you for the meal. After this, we headed slowly towards Kamikochi bus stop while enjoying the spectacular view from Tashiro Bridge. Hotaka and Kamikochi Onsen Hotel from Tashiro Bridge. The view from the opposite bank. A row of larch trees came into view. In autumn, this is a famous spot for viewing autumn leaves in Kamikochi.
