Many people may not know that besides the city island, Ayutthaya also has a small island. Many people may not know what’s on this island. This island is one of the islands that few people know that it has a community and temples, both abandoned and not abandoned, hidden on this island. The word temple in people’s imagination must have a large chapel or something like that, right? There must be a pagoda. I think in the definition of religion, that’s all it is. Having a Buddha image, a religious building, means it’s a temple. And of course, getting to this island isn’t that difficult. You can take a boat or walk across the bridge. And of course, this province has many unseen places. There are unknown abandoned temples, temples where many people come to pray for something, and then have to ask a second time, saying they can’t lift it, asking that it can’t be lifted . You have to say the same thing, but you have to ask that it can’t be lifted. It’s like switching things up twice. The second time, you have to ask that it can’t be lifted? Hey , hey, wait , I’m not kidding. There are also famous ancient sites, but there is one place that is already a world-famous landmark. And finally, an ancient castle that many people may not know about. That’s in Ayutthaya. And this is Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province in 2025 , unseen style. Hello everyone, now we’re in Ayutthaya Province again. Actually, it’s quite easy to get to because we drive from Bangkok for just over an hour. We’ve arrived. Today, I’ll try to take you to Ayutthaya in an unseen way. Many people might think that these places may not be known or may have been to these places before. But hey, there’s an unseen hidden away in there. Right now, we’re staying at a hotel called Baan Pom Phet. Actually, I have to say that last night, we slept there. We went to eat, walked to eat at a restaurant called Chao Phraya something or other. It’s in the Michelin Guide. We went and finished eating. Today, we’re staying at Baan Pom Phet, which has a great atmosphere. It’s right next to the river. The atmosphere is good. The house is in Thai style but with a bit of a modern feel. Let’s start from here. Let ‘s go. This is in front of the room. It ‘s very beautiful . And today, I’d like to introduce you to our guest. It’s Arun Sawat. Earn. This is Earnphat. What’s that ? I like that it’s so lively. Okay. Have you been to Ayutthaya before? Have you been here ? No, I’ve never stayed in Ayutthaya. Usually it’s a field trip. Oh, is it like kids coming here? Have you ever been to Ayutthaya ? Where did you go? I don’t remember which temple it was. Most people who come here are on field trips. People who come to Ayutthaya tend to have a similar feeling, which is they don’t know what temple it is , but they know that they are going to the kind of temples that people usually go to. Let’s say that today is an unseen Ayutthaya experience. There might be a temple that many people know, but there will be unseen ones hidden within. Let’s drive there. The team is waiting outside . This is the hotel design. It’s very beautiful. It has bricks , wood, and many modern styles. We’ve arrived. And today I’m wearing a Surahong hat version 2. You can click to order. If it’s not all gone, we’ll go inside. I’ve passed Wat Mahathat many times , but I’ve never really gone in to take a serious look. This costs 10 baht for Thais and 80 baht for foreigners. This is what they don’t allow: tube tops, spaghetti straps, wide necks, crop tops, and shorts. Therefore, you’ll mostly see tourists wearing elephant pants. You can’t climb the chedi . Seriously, would anyone actually stand on it? This is too bad. Climbing, there are pagodas, there are platforms. Okay, so don’t climb. Think of it simply . They made a check-in point , which is the check-in point where Lisa came . It’s a picture of Lisa right now. And the color is like, ‘Oh yeah, BLACKPINK . Hey, you’re here, in your area.’ As a Blink, how do you feel? I feel very happy to follow in Lisa’s footsteps. Okay, congratulations, you have followed in Lisa’s footsteps. One of the important temples in Ayutthaya is Wat Mahathat. It is assumed that it was built around 1374 during the reign of King Borommarachathirat I and completed during the reign of King Ramesuan. In the past, Wat Mahathat was considered a royal temple. It was used for various important ceremonies of the country. The main prang of the temple also used to enshrine the Buddha’s relics. However, at present, that prang no longer exists. It collapsed during the reign of King Rama VI, leaving only the ruins that we see now. Later , in 1996, the Fine Arts Department came to excavate and restore the temple and discovered treasures in the base of the prang. Inside were many gold objects, including a urn containing the Buddha’s relics. Currently, it is on display at the Chao Sam Phraya National Museum. I must say that around the same time, There are people who have been sneaking in to dig for treasures in various temples in Ayutthaya. The temple that made the biggest news is Wat Ratchaburana, which had a lot of treasures stolen. And the highlight of Wat Mahathat today is the Buddha head covered with tree roots. This picture has become like a symbol of Ayutthaya. The Buddha head is an art form from the middle Ayutthaya period. It is believed that it fell under the base of a tree. And as time passed, the roots gradually covered everything. It has become an image that both Thai and foreign tourists must come to see at least once. There are a lot of tourists. But it’s not strange. If we look at it, it’s strange for foreigners. We’ve seen it since childhood until we’re used to it. When I say I’ve seen it since childhood, I don’t mean seeing the real thing. I see it in books, but I’m used to it . This one I’ve been here before / I’ve been here looking for What am I looking for? No, it’s close. It’s just a short drive. Did you come here yourself or did you come with the intention of eating roti ? Oh, roti sai mai? Why does everyone have to eat roti sai mai in Ayutthaya ? And it has to be Nusara’s shop too. At first, I put it in this too. Teacher Nusara put it in That has to be Teacher Nusara’s shop. I’ll try to stop by and take a look in case you haven’t seen it all yet. Now, let ‘s take a look at one of the unseen places that many foreigners come to take photos of. There’s a Buddha head clinging to a tree root. They assume that the head broke off and fell onto the tree root , and no one paid attention to it until the root grew. After it was done growing, it ended up in there. There’s a sign that says, “To show respect, please don’t stand over the head of the Buddha image.” Here it is. I’ve never seen the real thing. It’s not strange if people come to take photos. It’s quite amazing. Information: It’s written that it’s a Buddha head in a tree root. ” A Buddha head in a tree root” is the official name. It’s a sandstone Buddha head that broke off from the Buddha image and was covered by the roots of a Bodhi tree. The face is quite flat and wide. Then there’s Phra Khanong and the edges of the eyes. The sign is a large plate. The mouth is wide and straight, the edges of the mouth are slightly raised. It’s in the art style of the middle Ayutthaya period, estimated to be around the 21st Buddhist century. In the past, it must have been very grand. Because there are Buddha statues, even though they are broken, they are placed everywhere. Let’s do a mission. Try to count how many Buddha statues there are. Go ahead . Actually, they might have written on the front, but we don’t read. Wow, just looking at them is tiring. Actually, maybe try / it’s possible. Because around here, they are lined up everywhere. This one, they should repair it. See? There are scratches. They used cement to patch them up, right? Along the edges. Why don’t they just fix them all? Here, there are people who come to worship with garlands. But once they are complete, they are very beautiful. The result is, I walked around for about 20 minutes. Come out, you got a new hairstyle. In Thailand, it’s really hot, wet / wet look immediately without having to do anything . Relax now. Let’s come to the pier. This place is actually a government office . They wrote that it is an immigration checkpoint. And there is a boat trip around the island of Ayutthaya, Bang Pa-in. Across from us is Koh Loi. Many people don’t know that this is an island. And hey, there are people paddling kayaks . They have activities like stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking in Ayutthaya. Look, the water is flowing fast. Hey , this activity looks really interesting. Paddling a kayak around the island of Ayutthaya. Many people don’t know. Look, across from here is Koh Loi. If we look from the sky, it will be an island. A small place in the middle. Across from there is the Ayutthaya Shipbuilding Technology College. They have a small bridge to cross. Many people may not know that in the past, Ayutthaya city was an island. It is called the Ayutthaya Island. It is surrounded by three rivers. And there is also a small island hidden here called Koh Loi. It is a natural island. On the island, there is a community that has lived there since ancient times. And what they call Koh Loi This is because during the Ayutthaya period, during floods, the water level in the river would rise so high that the island would appear to be floating in the middle of the water. There are two ways to get to Koh Loi. The first way is to walk across the bridge, which is right next to the Ayutthaya immigration checkpoint. The other way is to take a boat across, which you can board at the pier in front of Chandrakasem Palace . On this island, there are many ancient temples. Many of these temples have become deserted , due to wars that have occurred. Some temples have also been completely eroded by the water. Today, we visited three temples. The first is Wat Saphan Kluea, which was once deserted. Enemies once set up camp here. Now, only the ancient bell tower remains. The second temple is Wat Khao San Dam, where someone once found black rice grains, hence the temple’s name. They say that finding black rice is considered good luck. And the third is Wat Khae Ratchanuwat. This is the temple where Luang Pu Thuat used to reside. Many of you should be familiar with it because he was a very famous monk. That time was during the reign of King Ekathotsarot. Let’s go see together what each place is like. Some people see that there is a bank across from each other, right? They think that there is a river cutting through. But in reality, this place is an island. It is called Ko Loi. There are many abandoned temples here since long ago. You don’t have to follow the trail. The actual path can be quite scary if it ‘s not during the day. But in fact, it is a walkway along the wall. A university official just now said that if you want to see the temple, you should walk along the wall. Oh, look at this. On the map, it says this is the abandoned bell tower. It has been there since long ago in Ayutthaya. Here, it says Wat Saphan Kluea (abandoned). It is an abandoned temple. This plot of land is religious property under the care of the National Office of Buddhism. It is strictly forbidden to use it or any other property. It’s something like that. But there is only this much land left. I have to say that the general public would not know that there are still ancient sites like this. It’s kind of hidden, like people don’t even know it’s there. Can you imagine ? It’s like it’s on an island like this , and it’s deserted. And even today, there are still people who come to pay respects, you see? But there are very few people like that now. They bring water, they offer water, they have garlands, they have Nang Kwak. When you actually walk around and look, most of them say it’s a temple, but it’s an abandoned place. Yes , and there’s more writing inside. There is a snake temple. The snake temple is deserted, meaning it used to be a temple. Wat Khao San Dam is almost like no temple. If you look at the picture, look. But they call it a temple because it probably existed before and this is all that’s left. So if anyone is interested in something like an ancient site that almost nothing is left but there are still some traces, you can come and take a look. But usually, if people come here, they will take a boat around the island, like in Ayutthaya style, to see the city with that feel. Not many people walk across to the island because most of them are colleges. And there is this creature in there. Snake temple . Oh, a snake temple. Let’s go then. The name says it all. / Found a snake. Snake temple . Just now, the uncle said that if we walk this way, we will find Wat Khao San Dam. It is an ancient temple since the Ayutthaya period. It’s like the origin of the temple is that they found black rice. Then he said that anyone who comes today and still finds it might be in good luck or something. Oh, it’s a challenge now. Yes, let’s go. Okay. At first, I wasn’t going to go. But when I told him whoever found black rice was lucky, I wanted to go. I don’t superstitious. Maybe I will be that lucky person. And here it is, a young man with blonde hair and black roots. It’s almost time. I’ll change. Change my hair. Change myself. It’s good. / What? What ? Earn, don’t lead alone. You’ll meet a dog and you won’t be able to fight it. Or can you fight it? Can you fight it ? / You can fight everything. This is the walkway on the island. It’s very small. Most people should probably use motorcycles. Cars probably can’t drive on it. Oops, this is mysterious. Is this unseen? Maybe everyone, most people don’t even know the community up here. Explore the world . The houses up here are Thai-style, 2-story houses with an old-fashioned foundation. People have never crossed here. It’s like they’ve crossed over and are in another world. Because on the Ayutthaya side, we’ll see that it’s developed, right? But up here, there will be walkways, houses , and made-to-order food. This is the house. As for the way to the temple, this is it. Okay. The word “temple” in people’s imagination must have a large chapel or something like that, right? There’s a chedi. But in reality, I think that in the definition of religion, that’s all there is. There is a Buddha image . It’s a religious site. It’s a temple. If you find black rice, you’ll be lucky. Which looks like rice, but it’s not. It’s probably gecko droppings. This is it. Phra Phuttha Rachamangklaphisek, Khao San Dam Temple, on June 30, 1988. On the ground, I can’t tell which is gecko droppings, which is insects, which is rice / which is rice. But I don’t know. Or is it rice? But it’s hard . It’s similar. This is hard. Where ? Oh my . How will we find it? But he said that if you have good people, if there’s a kind auntie, she might bring it out for us to see. Oh really? The auntie collected it all. That ’s it. That’s it. Or did the aunt actually roast the rice and it burned ? Then she sprinkled it away / threw it away. Anything is possible. Don’t destroy the legend. Actually, I have to say that the people on this island eat lion meat, elephant meat. It’s very scary because the evidence is in bottles. They were discarded bottles. People were shocked. Did they eat elephant and leopard meat? Yes, but they ate it in bottles. They left it here. I’ll go to another temple. It’s on the island . This temple has a legend about Luang Pu Thuat stepping on fresh sea water, which many people may have heard of. Or maybe they used it as a joke or something. But actually, there really is a legend that they docked at Wat Kae on this floating island. And I just read another one. What was it? It’s the story of Khun Chang Khun Phaen. Yes, it’s the temple that was mentioned in the epic poem Khun Chang Khun Phaen. And there’s a belief that it’s a temple of magical knowledge. Or that Khun Phaen used to come here to study magical knowledge. Is it like playing with black magic or something? Something like that . Well, that’s it. Let’s walk there. It should take about 5 minutes to get to the Snake Temple. I just heard that there really are snakes there. It’s like there was a monk who came to practice Dhamma , and the snake was so big that he couldn’t practice. But the temple is gone. Just now, when I looked at the picture, oh, but the legend is that he probably saw a lot of snakes , right? / So it’s called the Snake Temple. But now I can’t find the temple, only snakes . The walkway is made of concrete. It ‘s like it was lifted up from the forest. Now, the creatures that we encountered were mostly chickens, butterflies , and insects walking and making scary gestures, making gestures like they were going to fight. Everyone went their separate ways. And then they met Brown. Brown came, Brown came . Oh, he’s gone . When talking about Luang Pu Thuat, many people think of the legend of stepping on the fresh sea water, right? But before we go on with that story, there is a place in Ayutthaya that is deeply connected to him . That is Wat Kae Ratchanuwat. It is said that this is the temple where Luang Pu Thuat resided as a youth. He studied Dhamma and left traces of his faith. But of course, when talking about Luang Pu, it must be said that it is connected to the legend of stepping on the fresh sea water. This legend has to go back to the old days. In the southern sea in the past, a miraculous event occurred. This is a compassionate monk named Luang Pu Thuat. He stepped into the sea water. What happened surprised people because the surrounding sea water turned into fresh water and they could drink it. This story became a legend that has been told until today. We have arrived at Wat Kae. It is a temple by the river. There is a pier here. This means that we can come to the temple without having to walk through the island. Even the boat says, ” Luang Pu Thuat stepped on fresh sea water.” Wat Kae Ratchanuwat can be reached by boat. There is a boat that will take you there especially. This is a large area. But when looking from above, it looks like a temple in the forest. But we can walk here, so it looks a bit confusing. But it is very large. And this is Luang Pu Thuat. From the legend that we have heard, stepping on fresh sea water. Oh my, there is a Naga . Wow. There is a picture. This is the area where Luang Pu Thuat’s kuti in the past was located. Today, I will listen to a sermon for you. Natthi loke anindito There is no one who is not criticized in the world . Therefore, everyone is subject to criticism. Right / So we do the job of criticizing ourselves . Because there is no one who is not criticized in the world. Because the stories of the villagers are always fun / Hey, what is this? Here, on the walls, there will be stories about the paintings of Luang Pu Thuat, about ships docking in the Ayutthaya period. Wow, this is an island. What does lifting an elephant mean? It means that if we make a request , if the request comes true, we will lift it. But if not, we won’t be able to lift it. Women have to use the ring finger , and men’s little finger . Wow, no more . So it means it won’t go up, right? It might be true but slow. / Really? / I don’t know. It only goes up the back. Doesn’t it depend on our strength? Let’s try. And you have to ask a second time, say that you can’t lift it, ask that you can’t lift it. You have to say the same thing, but you have to ask that you can’t lift it . It will be like alternating two times. The second one, do you have to ask that you can’t lift it? If you can’t lift it, it should be possible. Meaning it’s probably true Hey Hey Hey, this isn’t a prank Hey Okay , this isn’t a prank It ‘s real No, this Here it really can’t be lifted Try asking for another thing Ask for a new thing Ask for a new thing / Change it completely No And it really couldn’t be lifted just now / Let’s see Did you see I really put in effort Not like this Ask for something else Ask for something else Ask for something else Ask for what? Just asked for something bigger. It lifted it . Then another time, I hope it can’t be lifted. Or maybe the first time it got tired. It’s possible. Hey, is there a control switch or something? A magnet? It really can’t be lifted . But the first time I lifted it, it puffed up. Phi Bas lifted it so high. And the next time it really didn’t go up. This must have a scientific explanation. I’m still confused. Try lifting it, asking and lifting. What are you afraid of? / No, why? Are you afraid of not getting it like this? Yes, no, then ask for something extravagant first. Try asking for something extravagant. Ask for the lottery. No, ask for something extravagant like it’s okay if you don’t get it. Ask first. That’s really strange. Hey, lift it up, ask for another round. Or do we have a subconscious mind that tells us to use less force ? Well, it depends. But actually, if it can move, does that mean we’ll get it? If we lift it up, it means we’ll get it. But actually, I think it also depends on our force, right? The latest innovation is ping-pong style fortune sticks. We don’t have to shake them. We just pick them up. Let’s try number 17. Open it up. Everything is perfect. The future is bright . Wow. It’s not like there’s no poverty. Nothing at all. Everything is good in every way. Okay, done. Let’s go back to our side. Barking everywhere . Here, the bridge can be crossed. Whoever rows a boat can pass through the middle. They made a groove for it. It means no big boats can pass this way. Only small boats. Let’s go to the next temple, for those who believe in superstition. This is Wat Na Phra Meru. It is assumed to have been built in 2046, during the reign of King Ramathibodi II. What’s special about this temple is that it is an ancient temple from the Ayutthaya period that still maintains its original architecture very well. This is because during the second fall of Ayutthaya, the temple was not burned down by the Burmese army. Instead, it was used as a command center, which is why the buildings are still intact to this day. This temple is quite famous, especially among those who believe in superstition. People often come to ask for forgiveness, resolve bad karma , or to get rid of bad things in their lives. I saw Narayana riding on Garuda. They say that it is a rare form of art. You have to zoom in a bit to see it. Let’s go . We will go as a set to ask for forgiveness. Each set is 20 baht. They say that within 3 months, bad things will disappear from your life. Someone reviewed like this. Really, there aren’t any more friends ? All your friends have disappeared. Go stick them over there. Okay, thank you. Okay , 20 baht everyone. Then ask for forgiveness, withdraw the curse, withdraw the oath , pray, curse. The auntie told me to recite all of this. It’s very long. Okay, stand and pay respects. She told me to stand and pay respects outdoors . How is the prayer? It’s 2 pages long. Most of them emphasize things like withdrawing things like if we made a promise and forgot or gossiped about others. And another one is like whoever has cursed us or whatever, like we’ve been cursed or whatever, let them all disappear or anything. Anyone who wishes ill will disappear or anything. Inside the chapel is enshrined Phra Phutthanimit , which is an extremely sacred Buddha image of the city. Its highlight is that it is a Buddha image dressed in royal regalia. It is considered to be one of the largest in Thailand. When you go to make a wish, they say to look at the Buddha’s left eye. You will see a carving of the Pratummat yantra. The pattern resembles a lotus flower , representing purity and brightness. In Buddhism, it is believed that it has universal Buddhist virtues. And that’s right. They don’t worship Buddha, but they come to play with the dogs. Sniff , why are you up? Are you a temple dog, child? Oh, I am a temple dog. What do you want to do? Do you want to fight me? A temple dog, a monk’s dog. Has a personal fan . Hi- so, he has his own personal fan. Sleep cool in the temple. Sniff so much. In addition to the main chapel, this temple also has a viharn, which enshrines the Gandhararat Buddha. It is a green stone Buddha image in the Dvaravati style, which is said to be more than 1,500 years old. It is believed that there are only five stone Buddha images in this posture in Thailand , and they are all made of green stone. There is only one place here. Making it another sacred place that people come to pay homage continuously. We have arrived . Now, let’s eat at a restaurant called Ayutthaya Retreat. It has a style of house, like an Ayutthaya Thai house or something. There are also accommodations. But we did not stay here. We just came to have lunch because we thought the atmosphere would be good. It looks like there is water in the middle like we have seen in pictures. But we have never tasted the real thing. Let’s go and see. The rice is here. It is an omelet with Cassia flowers / minced pork and / lotus stem and shrimp. Lotus stem and shrimp. And this is fried rice with chili paste long ruea. And this is fried rice with chili paste / gourami. Yes , the food is a bit old-fashioned. Original. Oh, the chili paste is delicious. Delicious. We have to go to this place. I usually eat omelets without vegetables. But this is Cassia flowers, so I think it should be. But this restaurant intentionally presents Cassia flowers. Recommended menu, it’s delicious. The taste of Cassia flowers is like, it doesn’t have that much vegetable flavor. Delicious. And this is the lotus stem and shrimp . Let’s start with the shrimp first. Don’t eat them together. The lotus stem and shrimp must be eaten with the lotus stem. Otherwise, how can it be lotus stem and shrimp? It’s delicious to chew. Overall, the food is quite good, isn’t it? We came on a weekday, there weren’t many people, not much of anyone , or maybe it was already past noon. That’s it . Let’s go eat. The bill just now is 1,200 baht , about 5 single dishes , 2 side dishes, omelet and shrimp. It’s not expensive, the price is okay. It’s a bit of traditional food. Anyone who’s interested can come and check it out. The atmosphere is quite good, you can take pictures. Let’s go and see the famous roti shop. It’s Kru Nusara, right? That people must come and eat. I don’t know if it’s all gone yet. I’ll stop by first. And then the cafe. Then I’ll take you to see another abandoned temple that many people don’t know. And another temple that can be called. This one is also famous , but many people may not have been there . I went to eat since I was at Thammasat. Have you eaten there? / Yes, I eat there often because it’s my regular shop . We always argued that it has to be this shop or something like that. And it ended up at this shop. This shop is the most delicious. / Yes , from what I’ve tried with my tongue. Done. Send the girls to buy half a kilo of roti. This is for someone. Since there weren’t any small sets, I bought this one. This is the smallest one they have. Yes, today. / Oh, okay, 50 baht per set. Oh, the name of the shop is Siam . Wow, the entrance is very impressive. The shop is made to look like this, everyone. An ancient Thai house but with a modern feel mixed in. It looks very good, very cute. And it also looks like a place to stay. There are guests staying here. You can come to sleep. The accommodation has a traditional Thai house feel. It’s beautiful . The back is next to the river. You can go and have a look. The back is next to a temple. You can see the temple and the pagoda. It’s beautiful. It’s delicious. Okay, there’s cake to try. What kind of cake is this? Blueberry cheesecake. And this is Nutella brownie. It ‘s delicious . Okay, try it. Wow , I’m not into blueberries yet. I don’t like a lot of blueberries. I like to eat the crispy stuff. What’s it called? / Tart, right? This is another one. This is Nutella brownie. Nutella brownie . They have letters on it. It’s S.Sala , see? I don’t really like it. It’s indifferent. But this one might be up to you. Maybe I’m not a big fan of this kind of cake. It’s a brownie that doesn’t have much flour. The texture is dense. But this one is delicious. It’s very delicious. Or maybe it has no flour at all. I’m sure this temple is definitely unseen. Next up, another abandoned temple in Ayutthaya called Wat Tha Yak. It’s architecture is quite unusual, if you compare it to other temples in Ayutthaya. Because it is Burmese art, which was passed down from ancient Bagan. In Ayutthaya, this style was rarely seen. Currently, the only remaining structure is a square pavilion. Inside, there is a standing Buddha image in the attitude of granting forgiveness. The locals call it Luang Pho Phuttaphayak Ratchaphaen Din. As for when the temple was built, there is no clear evidence. But because there is Burmese art, people have assumed that it may be related to the Burmese who were rounded up during the Ayutthaya period and built the temple here. Therefore, Wat Tha Yak is another example that shows that during the Ayutthaya period, there were not only temples built in Ayutthaya style , but also influences from other styles of art. And if you didn’t know that there was a temple here, you wouldn’t have noticed it because it’s very well hidden. Nowadays, the surrounding area is full of houses. When I arrived, I didn’t think I would see anyone. But then I saw a group of tourists standing and taking pictures. So I was excited, wondering if anyone knew about this temple. Here they are, 4 of them. Hey, this place is beautiful. They’re standing there like a girl group. This is Luang Por Phuttha Phayak Ratchapandin . The water is new, which means people come to pay homage all the time. This is a temple that not many people know about. It’s already hidden, as you can see. Inside, there is still a Buddha image, but it’s collapsed beyond recognition. However, the torso and legs are still there. It’s not a common place for people to visit. But I’ll show you that there really are things like this hidden in Ayutthaya in various places. This is the truth. If they hadn’t supported it, it would have collapsed already, because it’s tilted extremely. It should be very ancient, dating back to the Ayutthaya period. This is the path we walked in on. Everyone, we’ve explored a lot, but there’s still a path to walk on. It’s a patch of dirt that’s cracked, so you can see that you can walk on it. There are houses here, but they’re quiet. We ‘ve arrived. This is Wat Nakhon Luang. The place we really wanted to come to is Prasat Nakhon Luang. They say that it’s a castle built following the model, if I remember correctly, of Prasat Baphuon, which we may have heard of before. Some people also come to make merit. For the merit-making ceremony, we have information. We’ve done some research . There are four places to pay homage. The first is the shrine to the Buddha image in royal regalia. There is a way to worship too. Light 9 incense sticks . What will we get from worshiping? This will be about prestige, honor, stability, career advancement. This is point 1. Point 2 is the Buddha image in the main prang. Pray for health, family, and travel. The main prang is the square one. Yes, point 3 is the 4 directions around the castle wall. Oh wow, this one is for walking around north, south, east, west. It will help strengthen your destiny and make every aspect stable. And the last point, point 4, the Naga shrine is on the edge. Oh, here it is. And this is / about safe travel, prosperous business, and smooth finances. But let’s take a break from dubbing for a moment. Let’s watch Bo drink water first. Is it delicious, Bo? Oh, here it is. Those 3 are our enemies. Take care of them. Hey, oh, come together and attack them. It comes as a set. A set for success and prosperity. Ask for money and get money. Ask for work and get work. Ask for millions. Good fortune. Offer to Ganesha. Each set is 100 baht. Or you can keep asking. But you have to ask for different things so you’ll know where your requests will come from. Don’t ask for the same thing. Here ‘s a tip for worshiping. Here, they worship Ganesha. Ask for prosperity. They have written it down there. Refrain from bringing flowers, fruits, mice, and other things to worship Ganesha on top of Nakhon Luang Castle to maintain cleanliness and orderliness. The worship area is only downstairs. Are you surprised? Brother Ghost? What’s his name? He has a name. Really? Yes, Brother Ghost. Or Uncle Ghost ? Not Brother Ghost, Uncle Ghost. They’re in every temple. Uncle Ghost. Really? Yes. Some temples will have this system. An AI system in the future will be able to interact with us. This is a robot first. In the future, it might be a hologram. / Yes, Uncle Phi, everyone, this is very grand. This is my first time here. This is considered an ancient site outside of Ayutthaya Island. The island area is the most visited area, right? Around there. But this is quite far from the city, about 20-30 minutes away, and we will find a castle like this . And besides the temple, Ayutthaya also has an ancient castle. This is Prasat Nakhon Luang. It is assumed to have been originally built during the reign of King Songtham before being restored and rebuilt during the reign of King Prasat Thong into the structure we see today. The castle’s design was inspired by the stone castles in Angkor, Cambodia . This castle is the closest to Baphuon. In the past, Prasat Nakhon Luang was used as a residence for the king when he visited different cities. Until 1809, Wat Nakhon Luang was built in the same area , making the castle part of the temple from then on. Today, we can visit the castle, especially behind the castle. There is a highlight: this is the principal Buddha image enshrined in a prang. It is also the most complete prang in the castle. Another popular spot for tourists to pay homage is the Ganesha statue. For those into spiritual practices, people often come to pay their respects and make various wishes to him. His distinctive feature is his statue sitting on a skull pedestal , which is believed to be modeled after the Ganesha statue displayed at the Bangkok National Museum. This place is no ordinary one. It’s registered as a national historic site, meaning it’s under the care of the Fine Arts Department. Yes , but it’s truly magnificent. Walking up to it, I was like, “Wow, this is magnificent!” And then there are spires behind it. It’s a mix of diverse art forms. This entrance is so high. / If you have weak knees, no, you can’t come here. / No, you can’t come here if you have weak knees. Seriously, oh, this one has paint, but the paint is peeling off. Oh, here’s the Ganesha statue on top. We’re now walking around in all four directions around the castle. Wow, these bricks . Are these ancient bricks? Everyone loves to take pictures from this angle. You see the Buddha statue, right? And looking up, it looks like this. But the point is, it’s not intentional. It’s this shape, but it looks like the top is collapsing, so we had the opportunity to see something like this. I would like to say that this is a very beautiful place for taking photos or videos. And today the sky is clear, so it is even more beautiful. The sun is just right . Wow, it is so beautiful . Actually, I have to say that it is a bit far compared to the inner zone, but it is not very far to drive. There is another place that is really beautiful. I recommend everyone to come. If you come to visit Ayutthaya, give it a try. I will show you an ancient civilization that has been around since the time. I think this is ancient or recent. Ancient. Oops, there are many sizes. Not the same. Were the bricks laid later? Wait a minute . Why do the bricks have footprints? They might have been renovated like the one just now where they stamped the word Fine Arts Department. I understand, but it is not cement. Why is it like this? Anyone who is knowledgeable about this, please explain to me in the comments why there are dog footprints. That’s all. Finally, we will go for dinner again. This is the restaurant that we actually went to yesterday. Yes, but they had a seminar so we couldn’t eat. And they said that actually, you have to book in advance / only walk-ins are not accepted. It is called The Artisans Ayutthaya. We will be there for dinner. And then we’ll go back to Bangkok. Yay! Are you hungry yet? Not yet . You’ll be hungry in half an hour. Here we are. We’ve arrived at The Artisans Ayutthaya , which you have to book in advance. All of the aunties are still alive and well. Some of them can’t come to work so they will stay at home. They will stay at home and send the ingredients , which are all around Ban Run Subdistrict. Okay. After that, we are now cooking clay pot rice. When customers order clay pot rice, we still use the traditional cooking method. Therefore, customers must try it. That’s why we usually accept advance reservations. It takes about 35 minutes to cook one pot of rice. We will cook the rice by wiping the water, from washing the rice, scooping the water , wiping the water. And the rice that we will get will be hot and fragrant . When it cools, you will have rice water to eat. Our buildings are divided into 5 buildings, which are 5 houses. There will be Auntie Sengiam’s building. Auntie Sengiam is the oldest at 95-96 years old. She is Auntie Khanthong’s mother. Auntie Khanthong will live in this building . This building. And Auntie Ee will be in this building, 73 years old. Auntie Ree will be upstairs. They are around the same age. Yes. And there will be another person. And Auntie Tan . We took her name to name the building. Because we honor them and give them work. It’s like customers support us. It’s like we’re helping everyone. They have a career and can support themselves. Because before, this was a small Ban Run subdistrict. They called it Muang Lab Lae. We talk about it. It’s the Muang Lab Lae of our subdistrict in Ayutthaya. Because not many people know about this subdistrict. I dare say it. Because it’s a very small community. There are less than a hundred households. And most of them are elderly people and widows who live here. Therefore, they do small-scale farming. They can’t support themselves. When The Artisans Ayutthaya was born, it created jobs and careers for them. And everyone was able to come back to the community and develop it again. Now it’s the second generation. Kids like Waen come back to help develop. And when they have work, they come back to take care of other things. They come back to take care of their aunts, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers. They’re not lonely. Their mental health has improved . Wow, this place is very beautiful. That’s it. As everyone can see, this place has a concept that it’s a small subdistrict. And what is it called? Is it a local way of life and is there a type / community that supports it like the owner of the recipe? Is it the auntie? She has a building named after the auntie. And the shop is very beautiful. The atmosphere is very good. When you come in, it’s like being in another world. And the food that we ordered, about 6-7 dishes, here, they will have rice. It will be cooked in a clay pot . It takes 35 minutes. They said that if you want to eat, you have to make a reservation and order in advance because they will make everything fresh right then and there. Oh, that’s interesting. Okay. The rice is already cooked. Yes. Okay. Oh, okay . You can eat the rice on a banana leaf. Eat it on a banana leaf, right? Wow. Eat it on a banana leaf . Today I ate pork crackling fried rice. Wow. It’s fried rice with pork crackling that’s real pork crackling. They said that the pork crackling here isn’t very crispy because they peel the skin off before frying. There’s a sprinkling powder on the rice, which is dried shrimp . What’s this on this side? That side is coconut sugar . If you want it a little spicy, sprinkle with dried chili. Okay , try it. It’s delicious. And here it is, minced pork with salted fish. He said to squeeze some lime before eating, but I asked to eat it without squeezing it first. Wow, it’s delicious. This is minced pork boiled in plums. Minced pork boiled in plums. This is delicious. Crab. This is also delicious. Just a moment. Crab meat. / Yes, crab meat stir-fried with chili and salt. Crab meat stir-fried with chili and salt. It’s delicious. How many kinds have you tried? Oh, this thing floating in the water. May I have your permission? What kind of panang curry is this? Wagyu beef, Wagyu beef panang curry, this one is okay, but I feel that it is too sweet , not as spicy as the plum soup, crab , minced pork, fried rice. Now we go to the winged bean salad . Yes, you can have it without shrimp, eat it for the kids to see . This is it, the winged bean salad is delicious. And it is something that is served at every meal. Omelet, but not an ordinary omelet, because this is an omelet with pork rinds . Sorry , it is good. Very delicious. Except for the panang, which I like least. But shouldn’t panang be sweet anyway? I just don’t like things that are too sweet. Everyone is excellent. Hey, it’s delicious. Delicious to the point of compliments. The panang is delicious. See? I like it sweet . Delicious, because this one also got a Michelin Guide. Yes , it got a Michelin Guide. Done . Oops, a little bit. A little bit is definitely necessary. Looking at it, it is not delicious. Especially the dishes that are salty. Actually, I ordered about half of the menu. Salty dishes. The plum soup with minced pork is delicious / right / yes, delicious. It is in a delicious restaurant. I recommend you to come and eat at least once. If you don’t know the restaurant But let’s try this restaurant. Make a reservation before coming. Okay, let’s drive back to Bangkok, everyone . Let’s go . We’re all set. Now we’re back in Bangkok. It was only an hour. Very fast . Actually, I should say that it was a short trip. Yes, you can actually stay the morning and return the next day. Okay, if you don’t want to stay overnight. But if you’re more chill, you can go and sleep in the cool place like us. And I have to say that Ayutthaya has a lot of temples . Today, I’m taking you, Earn, to explore the world. Because every temple that we went to, except for Wat Mahathat, I didn’t know that this temple existed. And some of them are not necessary to go. Some are abandoned temples. But we just want you to know that after exploring, there are these in Thailand. People might not know, especially Koh Loi. People don’t even know it. We went for a walk and let the dogs bark. It was very impressive. As for the food, it was very delicious. Don’t forget to go and eat. What’s the name of the last restaurant? The Artisans / That’s delicious . Make a reservation. Don’t just walk in and not eat. Thank you today, Earn. You can follow us on all communication channels and natural channels. Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe to Go Went Go . See you again. Bye-bye.
