Why don’t you speak Thai? I’ve already arrived in Hokkaido and just passed through customs. We already booked our JR Pass online. Now we’re going to exchange our tickets and take the JR train to the hotel. Even though I have no idea how to get there , I’ll still take some photos of my first Hokkaido trip. Everyone says you need to leave time for the return trip, and it turns out this is the place. It’s ridiculously large. You should plan on staying 3-5 hours on the return trip. I just tried this food, and it’s delicious. Since we already bought our JR Pass, we went to the customer service counter on the lower floor to exchange our tickets . Upon arrival, we got our number and waited patiently for the staff to call our number. The staff these days are so sharp, not only speaking English and Chinese, but also Cantonese. There’s no need to worry about communication difficulties! We just made it in time to get on the bus. If we were a second late, we wouldn’t have been able to get on. Since we still had 20 minutes , we just walked around the shopping area. It was so late, so everyone should remember to rest after the run. Now we’ve arrived at our hotel and have our rooms. Here’s the hallway from the elevator lobby to our room. Let’s go to the room first. TOUR: A typical Japanese hotel room layout. I’ve taken a quick look at the entire room and can give a brief introduction. This is the toilet , which is a bit small. Then there’s the bathroom, which doesn’t have a bathtub, only a shower. It’s also quite small, but clean. There’s a vanity mirror right outside the bathroom. These are personal care products for guests to take with them, along with towels and a hair dryer. Paper slippers and room slippers are placed underneath. The bed is a double bed , but it seems a bit small for two people… Now let’s take a look at the view from the window. The room faces the road , and there are passersby. Then there’s something I’m really concerned about: the refrigerator, which states that frozen foods like ice cream can’t be stored there, but you can chill juice. The air conditioning is centrally controlled, and this is a typical Japanese hotel. I’d like to add that the only plugs are Japanese two-pin flat plugs, not other types , so everyone should prepare a universal plug. There are also different pillows available. The room already has two, so if you have special requirements, you can choose high/short/soft. You can easily choose this hotel. The best thing about it is that it’s on the B1 floor , with separate male and female baths. Besides the large bath, there’s a lounge on the other side where guests can read various magazines and even older versions of Crayon Shin-chan . I haven’t read the manga in a while. There’s also free coffee , an automatic ice maker, a microwave, and a soda vending machine. If you need to do laundry, there’s a laundry room . Washing and drying clothes takes only 100 yen in 20 minutes, and washing is 300 yen per wash. So, I think the location is a big plus for this hotel. It’s about a 7-8 minute walk from JR Sapporo Station and is relatively close to the subway station exit. Today, August 7th, the room cost about HK$900 (tax included, no breakfast). I think it’s a bit pricey , but hotels in Hokkaido aren’t cheap either , so even though the price isn’t cheap, I think it’s probably normal. I don’t know . We’re going out for dinner, so let’s see what we’re going to eat. Before we eat, let’s do one important thing. The main reason we came to Hokkaido this time was for the concert . We went to pick up our tickets now. Since I didn’t arrange the itinerary, I had no idea what to do. Anyway, I went to pick up the tickets immediately and found this photocopier. Sapporo wasn’t as hot as I’d thought, with almost 40 degrees Celsius. It was raining and the wind was blowing, so it was a bit cold. We should have worn long sleeves . The place was very quiet, so I didn’t dare to speak loudly. Our first meal in Sapporo was ramen. It was pouring rain. The restaurant we originally planned to eat at had a long line, so we just randomly picked this one. It felt good, full of Showa style, and the price wasn’t too expensive. We chose two bowls of Shiro Mizu ramen. We ordered two bowls of Shiro Mizu because originally, one bowl… A bowl of white miso, butter corn. My bad luck, so I ordered more dumplings to make amends . First, take a sip of the soup. It’s not just the ordinary white miso, it’s full of oily aroma. Although it’s a little oily, the char siu is thin and fat-free. We don’t want too much fat, just the feeling of lean char siu. Then there are the grilled dumplings. 5 pieces of grilled dumplings are 400 yen. The price is definitely not expensive. To be honest, the whole bowl of noodles is not bad. You won’t be surprised to see that there is a queue here. There is really no queue outside. But you will be happy to eat this bowl when the weather is cold. I want to say that this bowl of noodles is very generous. 1100 yen is very cost-effective. After eating it, I was super hot. Did you take a picture of it ? I was sweating from the heat. They sell handmade ramen keychains here for 500 yen each. They are very cute. That’s my impression of the North. A review of Ramen. After dinner, we went to the gashapon area. Just in case you weren’t satisfied, there’s a second floor waiting for you . Let’s go first and see what cute things are there. Everyone knows how expensive gashapon toys are in Hong Kong. The exchange rate is 10/10, so it’s 5.3 now. But it didn’t seem to wave at me . So boring ! I thought it was a panty bunny, but it’s not. I do n’t know what it is. This one is more interesting. A luggage cart for 500 yen… I don’t want it. This one can be used as a magazine cover with your own photo, but it’s 300 yen… There’s nothing I want . What’s the point of all the key chains? Finally, there’s the fish figurine I really want, but it’s a 1 in 5 chance and 300 yen per one , but there’s nothing to play with. Claw machines are different. If I ca n’t catch the dolls, I’ll try grabbing snacks. 500 yen for 6 attempts, now all gone. 100 yen each time, 400 yen for 4 attempts . Wow , there are these tapes. These snacks aren’t worth much . This is too much. Is there actually a chance of winning a prize? Everything is stuck here, there’s no chance of getting a cup. It ‘s just a small snack. Let’s try this one because it’s already fallen over. Now grabbing dolls is 200 yen each time. That’s expensive. Let’s forget about the size . This small one is 200 yen each time. That’s expensive. Okay, let’s go back. Someone won’t let me play BYE anymore. Since gashapon and claw machines aren’t working, we’ll go to Daiso to buy things . Daiso on the 6th floor is super deserted . Looking at the environment… Hong Kong is better. We bought a lot and it’s time to call it a day . Now it’s time to pay. The most important part is now : supper time. Which one should we try first? Coffee doesn’t count because it’s necessary . Let’s try this one and see how much cream it has. It’s fattening, double fat, so it tastes good. It’s not overly sweet, but it’s very fragrant and creamy . The second cake looks like… a cheesecake with an uncle pattern I had in Hong Kong before. This one is also okay. The texture is closer to cheesecake , which balances the sweetness , but it seems a bit dry. I prefer this one , but that’s just personal preference . All the desserts were bought at FamilyMart. I don’t know if it’s caramel or baked pudding. The pudding looks like this, like a French caramel custard. It ‘s not overly sweet. I think ordinary fresh eggs have original flavors, while chemically made ones are sweet. I will try other brands. Next is this one. When you come to Hokkaido, of course you have to drink milk. It’s Yiji, my friend. Yes, it’s a lactic acid beverage. Yiji is similar , but not considered a drinking yogurt. Another good choice is, of course, this cheese. Every time I come to Japan, I also buy this solid or drinkable yogurt. R-1 has sugar, but it’s low in sugar, which is also a recommendation . This type of midnight snack seems to be healthier.
