Sapporo Drinking alone during the dayThank you for always watchingPlease subscribe to the channel and rate it highlyLunchtime drinking startsHello everyone, good moodToday I’m going to two places to drink aloneThe first place is Tanukikoji 1- chomeI’m going down this narrow alleyIf you don’t know it’s a narrow road you might just pass right byIf you go down this way, you’ll find the restaurantBeast KitchenSapporo City Chuo Ward Minami 2-jo Nishi 1-chome 5-7 Daiichi Hirowa Building 1F 13:00-23:00 Closed on TuesdaysThe inside of the restaurant looks like this, with a counter and about 3 tablesThe board is filled with delicious-looking menusI’ll have a beer for nowThere are also courses and all-you-can-drink options that are available on the dayI’ll have a snack on the appetizers while waiting for the food to arriveYou can drink from 1pm, which is great for heavy drinkersMany places that offer daytime drinking open at 15:00 so I came here on a weekday, and there were a few people thereEveryone was drinking sake! There’s a second store across the street, which opens only on Sundays from 3 PM and opens at 6 PM the rest of the day. This appetizer is delicious, and I’m having trouble deciding what to order from the menu. Everything looks delicious . These cute chopstick rests are also available. They also have food on the ochoko board , and they offer a daily special for 1,300 yen. Look! Look! There are seven different appetizers on one plate. When you’re drinking alone, it’s sad that even if you want to eat a variety of dishes, the portions are so large you can’t eat enough. This dreamy plate makes that wish come true and fulfills the desire of a solo drinker. It looks vibrant and beautiful, and each flavor is perfectly matched with delicious sake . Shall we have some sake now? The first drink in my fridge, which is just sake , is Hioki Sakuranora NATHUNEKO LABEL Junmai Tamae Pasteurized. I was attracted by the cute label and ordered this summer-only sake. It’s beautifully clear and slightly yellowish , but upon first sip, it ‘s refreshingly dry , yet fruity and fragrant. I later looked it up and found that it tastes best served slightly chilled . And, as the label says, a portion of the sales goes to cat rescue organizations. It ‘s delicious, and it also supports activities like cat rescue. I’m so grateful! I especially recommend it for cat lovers! Next up ! The bartender chose my second drink! Shichiyo Sake Brewery Shichiyo White Label – Shichiyo White – I can feel the surface tension (lol). It almost spills if I hold it… I’ll stop there. Thank you for filling it to the brim. Shall we pair it with sashimi? Yes , I asked for a sake that pairs well with food, and it goes perfectly with it. This sake is brewed with locally grown rice and the pure well water of Uchiura, so it’s no wonder it’s described as a refined drink to accompany meals ! It’s versatile, so it can be enjoyed both hot and cold. The wasabi stimulates the appetite without interfering with the meal, making it a great snack (lol) . And this namero is also incredibly delicious. Here’s a sip of sake, then on to the next one! My third drink : Senkin
Kabutomushi Namazake. This summer, I discovered it! Kabutomushi! Did you know Senkin means crane?! It reminds me of my trip to Eastern Hokkaido. Please check it out if you’d like. It’s said to be the adult lemon squash. It has a fresh fruity aroma and a refreshing taste. This sake holds many memories for me. When I was in my twenties, just starting to appreciate the deliciousness of sake, I nervously wandered into a yakitori restaurant in Ueno to drink alone. I was a beginner, and I was dining alone (lol). The sake recommended by the owner was so delicious, it completely changed my perception of sake. Then , while I was reminiscing, I ran out of food. Did Kabutomushi taste like this? It’s delicious, but a little different from what I remember . Let’s order some food for now! BIG Corn Kakiage (Tempura with corn) 750 yen . It ‘s massive, and has a great presence! Wow, that sounds amazing! The sweetness of the corn, complemented by the green laver and salt, is delicious! It seems to pair well with sake . I was curious about the difference in taste, so I checked out Senkin’s website and found out that in 2024 , they’ll be introducing the “Edo-gaeri” concept! What is “Edo-gaeri”? It’s intriguing. Rice farming, sake brewing, and community development. “Edo-gaeri” is a way to build a future that looks beyond the next 20 years. I was really moved by this concept . “Kame-no-O” is the root of Japan’s proud high-quality rice. They’re recovering its DNA, promoting organic farming, and refining the traditional techniques perfected by Edo-period brewers who skillfully utilized the laws of nature. I’m nostalgic for the joy of today’s children echoing through this moment when the infinite vitality of the microorganisms lurking in the brewery shines brightest in history. I want to support this new happiness, however small my contribution may be ! The taste changes when you drink it knowing the feelings behind it. Rice is a source of energy for the Japanese people. The taste and nutritional value change depending on the type of rice , so the soil and water, such as the land and method of production, are also important. Pesticides and improved varieties can be used to mass-produce rice, but if the health of people and nature is lost, it will cause us suffering. “Food” creates a healthy mind and body, so I want to eat delicious and healthy food. It was so delicious that I couldn’t stop eating it and it was delicious until the end. The next place I went to was a place where you can drink from 12 noon, and it’s close to Odori Station. Popular Bar Fujisan Sapporo City Chuo Ward Minami 2-jo Nishi 3-11-1 K-23 Building 2nd floor 12:00-23:00 I went to the 2nd floor by stairs. It was certainly heavy (lol) It was good that it was empty after lunch, as the name of the bar is Fujisan, so you can drink while looking at Mt. Fuji♪ For now, I’ll have beer, and the mugs are cute. The menu is like a regular izakaya. I want to eat oden, skewers. First of all, “Oden” Octopus and ginger tempura 220 yen Daikon radish 160 yen Octopus ginger tempura The ginger was delicious , and the radish was stringy, but the flavor of the broth was good. Yakitori 190 yen It’s a secret sauce that’s added over and over again, so it’s delicious! Beer and skewers are the best. It seems like a lot of people order lunch during the day, but from 12 noon you can order lunch and snacks. There’s a TV on, so you can watch it while drinking. It has a pub-like feel, and I like the drink menu. Suddenly, it’s time for a match. Chinchiro highball . But when the bell rang, I got scared and my voice started to shake, and I accidentally stopped the recording, but it was an even number pair of 2.4! We did a half-price celebration highball ~ Half-price celebration toasts are good (lol) It’s embarrassing to get attention because they ring it loudly and say “Congratulations!!” , but if you come to Mt. Fuji, please try your luck and it’s fun (^^) Overnight dried chicken wings 209 yen Pork chops 200 yen It’s served on Japanese paper, it’s cute , soft and delicious There were four flavors to choose from I went with the standard salt I tend to drip this kind of thing on my clothes… The pork chops were as delicious as I imagined Personally I preferred the yakiton The sauce was delicious If you want to drink in the afternoon, go and try it Thank you for watching Please subscribe to my channel
