Will really? How is it, Japan? Good. We love it. Yeah. We’ve been here for a week. A week so far. So, how many day you stay in Osaka? Uh, just today. Just one day. Why? One day just come from Kyoto. Kyoto four days and one day it was not popular to come down. We just didn’t want to be too busy. I see. I got I got first Japanese made machine you’re going to try. Can you imagine what is a Japanese machine? I don’t know. No idea. like a robot. It’s a kind of lover, but not a love. Okay, let’s go. [Music] I want you to take prince seal machine. Is it like a photo bush? Do you know it? Yeah, we have. Oh, really? You know it in New Zealand. Do they have it? Similar. This is very cool though. [Music] High pass. Oh, change LED. Which one I want? Oh, yeah. Which one? Okay. Okay. Three, two, one, go. Kiss [Music] New Zealand and Japan. There’s problems. This is much more of an experience. How was it? That’s awesome. That’s really cool. You do face with too much effect. No, we like the effect. What? That’s quite quite similar taste. Yeah. So, bring back to New Zealand. Yeah. No, we take this put on our fridge at home. Please, please. Well, you too. Are you guys hungry? Yeah, absolutely. We can always eat. Okay. We love food. I’ll take you to the best big restaurant. Let’s go. Okay. Are you hungry? Yeah. Now I’m going to take you this restaurant. [Music] This a seat for you too. What do you think about this view? Amazing. You can see so much. Yes. You take that train back. Perfect. Yes. Awesome. Wow. This is very fancy. Yeah. Very nice. Strawberry. Cheers. Thank you. Cheers. Cheers. So, first of all, try it. Hang on. Is it It’s not a straw, is it? You can take it off if that’s okay. That’s so yummy. Yummy. Good. Good. All right. So yummy. How good, Jenny? Is that good? Good. Oh, thank you. How about you? I love strawberries. [Music] This is so appetiz. [Music] Okay. Oh, yes. Like liver. Yes. Right. First time trying to [Music] give me more, more, more. I already select the perfect lineup from now. Okay, here come the next thing. Come on. Good. Really sad. [Music] Tasty. Tasty. Very tasty. So soft. Oy. Very oy. Oy. Oy. Oi. Do you know what’s a part of the beef? Wait. You try it now. Is it tongue? Tongue. Yes. Tongue. Right. I’ve never tried anything like that before. In New Zealand. No. In New Zealand, we don’t eat um tongue and and organs, but So, what do you eat in New Zealand? The beef. We eat uh you know, the back and the ribs and more weights. Okay. Good. Melty. Melty. Look at them. Look at them. Look at them. Just delicious. Just just like I said, um just the flavor and the and the texture and it just melted in your mouth. Lots of flavor. Lots and lots of flavor. This looks like this. Do you know? Oh, yes. Yes. Yes, I do. It’s seafood. That’s right. Seafood on the top with a Wagyu sushi. Okay. Okay. You want to try? Yeah, sure. Eat it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Good. Yeah. It’s um you know, in New Zealand, we’re famous for our seafood. Um we don’t have anything like that, but that was amazing. That was Oh, yeah. just a good um combination of flavors and not what I was expecting. We wouldn’t often have seafood with uh with beef. Yeah. You call it surf and turf when you do something from the ocean, the surf, and then something from the grass is the turf. That’s what we call. So, we blended it together. Good. How old are you again? I’m 31 almost 32. 32. How old are you? I’m 27. how you you met in New Zealand. So, I used to live in Oakuckland, Jay lived in Napia and cuz I’m a flight attendant for in our country. So, I flew down to his city for work and we met at the hotel. So, I stay at a hotel and in New Zealand sometimes you just go to hotels to eat with your friends. Yes. Yes. That’s what Jaden is up to. Yes. So I saw this beautiful lady um and approached her and tried my luck and um we got to know each other and then um yeah we liked each other and after a few months Sam moved to Nathia to be with me and here we are married. Then so first you met you saw her you fall in love? No. Well I mean I’m a bit of a hopeless romantic at heart. Really? Yeah. Yeah. I um I believe in love at first sight and those sorts of things. Um yeah, the more I got to know Sam, I just I just kind of, you know, quickly knew that she was the one and um and um that I wanted to be with her and and here we are. So, I was honestly, as cliche as it sounds, for me it was. Yeah. How about you? For me, I’m more a slow burn. Oh, I met Jaden. No, I I loved him and I loved what he was, but for me cuz we lived in two different cities, I was like that I that’s going to be so hard. And then I was given the opportunity to move and I think that what let my walls down. But yeah, you want it to work more. It’s like a movie. Yeah, it was going down. None in this time you choose Japan for a trip. We wanted We’ve been wanting to come to Japan for a long time. It’s been right up here in our bucket list really. Um we wanted to come in April last year. We had a trip planned in April last year. Um but we decided to build a house together. Um, we couldn’t do both, but we knew that we wanted to do Japan and Japan was the next trip we were going to do. So, um, what, a year and a bit later, uh, we just found out Sam was pregnant. Probably. So, we thought Japan now let’s go. Last trip us two. Celebrate. Celebrate. And then last trip, just us two. Congratulations. How how many day was it when you decide to go to Japan? We decided and 3 days later we were on the flight. Three days. [Music] You can try only it’s have a taste already. So taste the whole thing. M good flavor. Nice and smoky from the flames. You like what are you doing? Too much too hot. Maybe it’s okay. Is that lemon? Yeah. Oh, yummy. M. How good is it? Just good with the lemon. Lemon. It’s very make your face fresh. Yes. place. [Music] You would never know that that’s a tongue. You never know. You know, I could give that to my friends back home and tell them it’s um any other type of beef. Yeah. And they and they’d be happy. That’s that’s delicious. I’m going to go home and I’m going to say, “You’ve got to try this. You’ve got to try the the tongue.” you know, don’t waste it. It can be this good. I mean, coming to Japan, I wanted to try some new foods. Um, but I was always a bit skeptical, always a bit scared, nervous. Um, so thank you for bringing us here allowing um the opportunity. Yeah. What are you doing for I’m a primary school teacher. So, really? Yeah. So, school holidays at the moment back home. Um and Sam and I we like the travels and we we travel on school holidays. So um my class year five and six 9 10 11 year olds and um yeah I I teach them everything reading writing math science. I am a flight attendant in New Zealand. So really so I just fly around parts of New Zealand. I don’t leave the country. That’s why we then like to travel and leave the country. But what was impress when you come to Japan? Most impressed things. Anything? Food. Food. And everyone’s so nice and polite. Even though it’s such a busy city, it’s so clean. It’s clean, it’s quiet, the culture, the history. Um, and the people, the people have been so lovely. You know, the first uh night we arrived, we were so lost in the train station. And we got we got to Shinjuku train station and it was just so overwhelming. But fortunately we had this um young Japanese man. He came and helped us and um that was yeah Japanese people. How about me? First I come to you. Weren’t you scared or worrying about me? Hey at first I think yeah you’re a bit worried but then we reminded ourselves all Japanese people have been so nice. You know, if we were somewhere else in the world, we might have been like a little scared or unsure, but we’re in Japan and you know, everyone’s so kind. So, do you have any kind of culture shock when you come to Japan, just really um good experience, different culture like Jaden said before, like quiet and polite. I mean like like Japan has such a good reputation, right? like it’s known for so many awesome things. So, we were expecting, you know, cleanliness and and efficiency and politeness, kindness, all those sorts of things. I suppose what was the biggest shock for me for me? The heat. The heat. I’m amazed at just how efficient everything is. You know, we’ve missed a train and 2 minutes later there’s a train there and it leaves on the dock, it’s gone. So, there’s just so many trains and the public transport cuz it’s a smaller country. There’s just no need for lots of public transport. So, everyone’s driving themselves. If you miss your train or you miss your bus, you’re waiting an hour. You’re probably waiting 30 minutes or 1 hour for the next one. Yeah. Here comes the special menu. Woohoo. Vice President Camo Chat Bri. Have you seen a shatter brain? That looks beautiful. That looks great. Most rare and expensive and tasty part of the beef is here. Wow. And we get to try it. Yes. Wow. Where? Which part is it from? He was a chef in France. Thank you. More vegan. Yummy. Thank you very much. Okay. You happy with it? Yeah. Bil? Yeah. [Music] Look like you’re about to cry. Oh. Oh. No words. I’ve got no words. That was h just Yeah. Oh, what do I say? That’s beautiful. Thank you. We eat a lot of beef back home. Um, but that was just so nice and soft and um it’s just so delic tasty and salty and that was the nicest piece of meat I’ve ever eaten before. I like that. Please try it. It makes the oil so more light. Mhm. M. I’ve never had um beef dipped in like a like a sauce or or a um like an oil like this before. Yes. Um just cooked to perfection to my liking 100%. just succulent and and just melts and so if this can you see show me the photo in Japan you to take and it’s very wow it’s bright impact photo maybe the monkeys oh yeah monkeys monkeys yeah show me show me walking down the track and wa monkey in Japan cute yeah um pushing Arroama. Beautiful. Yes, I know. Yes, of course. I never see a monkey over there. Yeah. Up the mountain. Sun sliced beef. Yeah. Perfect. Oh, can’t wait. Yeah, it looks amazing already. If it’s anything like we’ve just had, look at how cooked. cook with a n. It’s like a fried hand. Yes. Yes. Japanese onion. Yeah. What was the um the first oil? Uh-huh. No. [Music] [Music] Thank you very much. So the egg in there as well. [Music] You try it before? No. M m. That sauce must be nice and sweet. Yeah, sweet soy sauce. And that just melts down cuz it’s so thin and juicy. It melts kind of just leave it off. Okay. Okay. Yeah. M. Really good. Yeah. So simple but so tasty. It’s yummy. Yeah, you can taste that sweet sweetness coming through, can’t you? It’s nice with the raw egg, too. Yes. Um, do not eat a lot of raw egg. Um, but that’s a nice addition. Yeah. Sorry, I should. You like fresh egg? Was that nice? Uh, yes. We eat it. Uh, only in Japan. All right, let’s go. I’m just going to keep eating. It’s that good. I can’t stop eating it. In the Australia, they have a lot of Japanese restaurant, but no, in New Zealand, um, not as many. I mean, where we live, um, there’s a few and Oakland more and, um, they’re probably the best restaurants in the city, to be honest. They’re up there. Um, we’ve got a restaurant called Piku. I don’t know if that means anything in Japanese. Piku, that’s that’s a Japanese restaurant. Another one called Yep. Another one called Origami. Origami. Origami. Yeah, it’s a really good Japanese restaurant. What do you eat? What’s the menu called? Yeah. Is that sushi? Sushimi. We love itami beans. How was my tour? It was an amazing experience so much. I mean when we came to Japan for the food and um and that was the best food the best best experience we could have asked. You’re welcome. That’s me. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. Yeah, pleasure. I can meet the baby soon in Japan. Okay, we’re waiting. Please, please. Okay. What are you playing? Boy or girl? Let me guess. Boy. Okay. His name is Okay. [Music]
