Top 10 Must-Buy Items in DAISO(¥100 Shop) in Japan🇯🇵 | Shopping Guide in Japan🇯🇵

Hello, I’m local Japanese. Today I want to share
10 attractive items of Daiso. If you are coming to Japan, there’s one shop you must check out.
It’s Daiso. It’s a famous ¥100 shop where you can find everything from cute Japanese goods
to surprisingly high quality everyday items all for just a few dollars. Today I’ll show you
10 must buy Daiso items that are fun, practical, and perfect as souvenas. Let’s get started.
No.1 Instant miso soup Instant miso soup is one of the easiest ways
to enjoy a traditional taste of Japan. Miso soup has been part of Japanese dining culture for
centuries. Usually served with rice and seasonal dishes. Today, thanks to instant miso soup,
you can experience the same comforting flavor in just a minute. Simply add hot water. That’s
it. What makes it special is its balance of rich umami flavor from fermented soybean paste and the
light soothing broth. Many instant versions even include tofu, seaweed or green onions, so you can
get the authentic look and taste of homemade miso soup. You can enjoy Japanese cuisine very easily
at home or hotel. Also very good souvenir as well. So highly recommended!
No.2 Stationary Daiso stationary is loved by travelers and locals
alike because it combines Japanese quality, stylish design, and affordability. You can find
pens, notebooks, sticky notes, organizers, and even craft supplies that look and feel much more
expensive than their price. One of the biggest appeals is the variety. From cute character
themed items to sleek and minimalist designs, there’re something for every taste and purpose.
Many products also reflect Japan’s attention to detail, such as smooth writing pens, durable
notebooks, and cleverly designed organizers that make everyday life easier. My recommendation
is calligraphy supplies. These tools allow you to experience a piece of Japanese tradition
without spending much. The brushes and paper reflect Japan’s attention to quality, while
the compact sets are easy to carry home as souvenirs, so highly recommended!
No.3 Japanese cultural items Daiso is not only known for fun and trendy
products, but also for wide range of traditional Japanese items at very affordable prices. From
chopsticks with beautiful patterns, tenugui, Sensu , and ceramics, you can find everyday goods
that reflect Japan’s culture and craftsmanship. What makes these items special is their brand of
authentic Japanese design and accessibility. Many pieces are inspired by traditional aesthetics such
as Sakura, U-Kiyoe prints or seasonal motives, so they make excellent souvenirs or gifts.
My recommendation is Kendama. It’s a really old Japanese toy. It is a wooden toy made up of a
ball tied to handle by a coat. Kendama is played by tossing into the air a ball attached to a code
and then catching it on the cups or on the spike. Let’s try traditional Japanese toy
No.4 Travel items Daiso’s travel goods are especially popular
with visitors because they are affordable, practical, and cleverly designed. From packing
organizers, travel size bottles and luggage tags to neck pillows. portable sleepers and compact
porches. Daiso offers everything you need to make your journey more comfortable. My recommendation
is compression bag. They make packing lighter, smaller, and smarter. By simply rolling or
pressing the bag you can remove excess air and reduce the size of bulky clothes like sweaters
or jackets without needing a vacuum cleaner. Also, these bags help maximize suitcase space, keep
clothes organized, and protect them from moisture or odors during travel. So, highly recommended.
No.5 Sanitary items Daiso’s hygiene products are highly appreciated by
travelers because they are affordable, practical, and thoughtfully designed. From face masks
and sanitizing wipes to travel size soaps, toothbrushes and disposable goods, Daiso offers

their Japanese quality and attention to detail. Products are safe, reliable, and often come in
compact sizes that are easy to carry in your bag or suitcase. The packaging is clean, simple,
and sometimes even stylish, reflecting Japan’s unique sense of design. My recommendation is hand

keeping hands clean on trains, in restaurants, or while exploring. There are so many useful items
here, so you can find your favorite one. I think. No.6 Fashion Accessories
Daiso’s fashion accessories are loved because they combine style, variety, and affordability. From
hair accessories, scarves, and socks to belts, hats, and jewelry. Daiso offers a wide selection
that allows you to enjoy the latest Japanese trends without spending much. One of the biggest
appeals is their seasonal and trendy designs. Many items reflect current Japanese fashion,
often with cute, elegant, or minimalist touches that makes them fun to wear or give as gifts.
Despite the low price, the quality and attention to detail are surprisingly good. Some goods
are cheaper than UNIQLO or other fashion chain, so please compare them.

goods and gadgets that are both affordable and surprisingly practical. From charging cables and
adapters to earphones, LED lights and portable fans, and even handy kitchen or beauty devices,
these products combine convenience with Japanese style design. My recommendation is wireless
earphones. They are lightweight, compact, and travel friendly, making them a convenient
choice for visitors who want affordable earphones during their trip. Whether for listening
on trains, watching movies on flights, or taking calls, also it’s good item for souvenir.

character prints to simple minimalist styles, they add a touch of Japanese charm to any room
without costing much. One of the biggest appeals is their practicality and compact size. Many

  1. these days you cannot get socks in Daiso, they are all plactic, or very little cotton 🙁 in the past I used to buy tabi style sosck in Daiso all the time, and they were >80% cotton.

  2. I love Daiso goodies & when I go into Adelaide (South Australia) I always make a beeline to the store. Can’t wait as in 7 weeks I’ll be in Japan & I intend to buy heaps 😅
