鶴川の城跡と春の散歩|町田の静寂と歴史が交錯する道【4K散歩】Japan Walking Tour

Walk around Tsurukawa Station in Tokyo Current location: Tsurukawa, Machida City, Tokyo I am at Tsurukawa Station on the Odakyu Line in Machida City, Tokyo. This time, let’s explore some minor areas around the station. Please subscribe to the channel. We need everyone’s help to run it. There is a local soccer team called FC Machida Zelvia. Tsurukawa Station is the closest station to the team’s home stadium. Now that I think about it, I walked from Tsurukawa Station to the soccer field for the very first video shoot. I remember buying plants from this flower shop a long time ago. Deli shop There’s construction going on. I guess they were also building a station building as part of the redevelopment. Express trains do not stop at Tsurukawa Station. A little strange The area in front of the station is quite spacious considering the size of this station. The bus terminal feels larger than Shin-Yurigaoka Station or Machida Station. Probably for suburban residential areas. A famous sightseeing spot near Tsurukawa Station is Buaisou, the former residence of Jiro Shirasu. Maybe I don’t have to go there this time. We aim for the castle ruins that we saw on Google Maps. This area is near the intricate border between Kawasaki City in Kanagawa and Machida City in Tokyo. Tsurukawa Kaido It’s almost spring. Flowers are blooming all over the city. The elevated hill over there is probably the ruins of the castle that was our destination. We are heading towards the ruins of the castle, also known as Sawayama Castle and Miwa Castle. It is said to be a branch castle of the Hojo clan. I went to the Tsurumi River and photographed the source area of the Tsurumi River the other day. An urban river solidified with concrete. The flood looks scary. The fact that there is a river means that this area must have been a rural area in the past. It’s kind of a culvert-like road. The remains of an old irrigation canal for fields. The house is on one level and it looks like a seawall, so it’s completely a culvert. In the past, when rivers were polluted, it would have been a dirty river. The smell was so strong that I thought it was a patterned culvert. Nowadays, the water quality of Dobu rivers in various parts of Japan has improved considerably. What kind of flower is it? That’s admirable. I’m going up the slope. Looks like there’s a temple nearby. Let’s stop by. Kamimiwa Park. Machida City. I guess it’s Tokyo. It’s here. Kozoji Temple small wind god statue This is the thunder statue It’s surrounded by greenery and has a nice gate. This temple was founded in 1362. It is said to be one of the 88 Sacred Sites in Tama. This was my first time hearing about the 88 Sacred Sites of Tama. Let’s go around. There are many flowers that are wilting. It seems it was a little late. Kukai statue surrounded by flowers The garden is nice, but I thought there was no building, but when I googled it while editing, I found out that it had been completely destroyed in a fire several years ago. I guess there used to be a main hall near this white wall. I’m glad Rokujizo didn’t burn down. It’s probably a local temple, but rebuilding it will likely be difficult. The garden is well maintained. It’s a beautiful city. This area is called Miwa Town. There is a famous Mt. Miwa in Nara, and it seems that the town was founded by people from that area. There is a storehouse. Are they descendants of traditional landowners? Building apartments and condominiums on land owned by landowners is the same everywhere. There was a shrine. Sacred tree surrounded by flowers This sacred tree has withered and been cut down. As you can see, there is a slope waiting for you. The car is quite noisy. I have the noise canceling turned on low, but next time I will try turning it on high. You’ve arrived. Sawayato Natural Park. This is the ruins of Miwa Castle. There is a stone wall, but I don’t think it belongs to the castle. It seems that the castle was abandoned after Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s subjugation of Hojo, and there are almost no traces of it. The park part is probably city-owned land, but the mountain part behind it and the castle ruins are privately owned. The wisteria flowers are beautiful. This area may have been part of the castle. I came out in the open. There seems to be spring water. This water probably carved out the area and created a flat area. A large number of plants grow near the water. It doesn’t look like a castle ruin at all. If you go up to the mountain on private land you can see there, you’ll probably find some traces, but it’s off-limits. The rock surface is exposed, so it’s dangerous. It’s white, so it’s probably volcanic ash. It’s probably deposits from the Mt. Fuji eruption or the Hakone eruption. There seems to be an ancient tomb in the back. With steep stairs. People have lived in this area since ancient times. There seem to be a lot of spider webs, so I can’t go there. The bamboo forest is being battered by the wind. It’s a beautiful bamboo forest. An area with many mansions. Ancestor gacha jackpot. Land ownership is strong. I have returned to Kozoji Temple. It seems like we’ve come full circle. Now, let’s head to the station. That’s all for today. Thank you for watching. If you like it, please subscribe and like the channel.
