Welcome everybody to Disney’s Veraro Beach and we’re staying in an ocean view room this time. Relax on warm sand and play in the sparkling blue waters of Disney’s Vero Beach. Just 2 hours southeast of Walt Disney World. A elegant old-fashioned hideaway is located on Florida’s scenic Atlantic Treasure Coast. We’re going to go to breakfast here. We’re going to go to pool. We’re going to go to beach. There’s a lot of stuff coming up in this video, guys. So, we’re going to go to beach pool. P. So, we’re going to have a fun to go. So, we’re going to jump so high and we’re going to do a fire thing today. Oh, the the campfire. Yeah, it’s the bonfire. Of course. So, bye. So, we have a little question to be You guys should definitely want to stick around the video just for that. Just for that. I love my daughters. All right, girls. You know what we’re doing today? What? You said you want to do something different. We’re going to go to a hotel today. Today? So, you got to pack your bags. We’re going to go to Disney’s Ver Beach. Dad. Yeah, we are. Let’s go pack your bags. Come on. Come on. You packing your backpack? Yeah. Let’s go to Veril Beach. Do you remember the last time that we were there? That was it. It was 3 years ago. 3 years ago. It was a long time. Go to the beach. We’re going to go to the beach. Yay. You guys, we have quite a bit of stuff here for one night. But it’s a lot of our beach stuff, too. Tada. Backpack, suitcases, beach stuff, chairs, umbrellas in there somewhere. We’re ready to go. Now they’re on a highway. Just under 2 hours to go from Walt Disney World to Vero Beach. [Music] Park right here real quick. So then we’ll go inside. All right. Quick look. Quick look. Going to go inside. to get our keys. Security forgot to get us a parking pass. Well, they didn’t have it there, so I have to go in to get our parking pass. There we go. We’ll see a lot more later on, I promise. Quick look. Quick look. Heading back out to the car. Sea turtles. Um the person at the front desk, Dear, she was awesome. Has a bunch of stuff. Gave us some stuff for the girls. We’ll get into all this once we get into our room. It’s not quite ready just yet. Not yet. I do like that there’s a garage here. I forgot about this. They gave us our cards, but they’ll text us our room number and all that once it’s ready. Got stickers. And uh the girls got their own cards, too. Right. Going to do some exploring right now before the resort or not the resort before our room is ready. We’re going outside right now. Yeah. All right. I want to get a couple pictures of the giries in matching uh dresses. Look at that. I don’t know if you guys can hear it, but you can hear the the ocean roaring right now. The waves coming in. I miss Vero Beach, you guys. I really did. It’s good to be back here again. I do remember from last time here at Vero Beach, they had it’s kind of sea turtle nesting season. Once we get to the beach, more than likely tomorrow, but later on in this video, you’ll see some of the nest that they’ve kind of blocked off. But I remember from last time that they have a lot of the vegetation here to protect the sea turtles from the lights and stuff from the hotel room. And it does make it a little bit more quaint and cozy feeling. Like it’s it’s a Disney resort, so it has that Disney touch. The girls are running into a hammock. Hang on. Careful. You can both go on there. You can both go on. No. No. Go on there. You can go on. All right. We got them on. Smile. Hold on. And smile. Not going to lie, you guys, we almost canled this reservation cuz in the forecast it showed a bunch of rain, but for right now at least, we’re in a good pocket. There’s like a 40% It went down to 40% chance later today, so we’ll see how it goes. But I think we might luck out hopefully. So, this is Disney’s private area, private beach. You do need your key card to access this part of the beach. Everybody here is staying at the hotel and you can get uh reservations for chairs and umbrellas and all that stuff. More to come. More to come. We’re just kind of taking it all in right now since we have some time to kill. But this is nice. All right, we just got the text message that our room is ready. So, we’re heading back to the lobby here real quick and then we’ll show you the room. All right, you guys. I already got a bite, a bug bite. I wasn’t out there for that long. But if you’re coming around the summertime, it is no seam season, which if you’re not familiar, if you’re not around, if you’re not familiar with Florida, these bugs are in this area. They’re small, nearly invisible biting insects that can cause very itchy or painful bites. Not necessarily painful, just um very itchy. Very, very itchy. So, we’re going to have to go to the Island Grove Packing Company store. They have some stuff, some uh some bug spray and whatnot. We’ll go in there later, I promise. Hit the Mickey’s. Hit the Mickey’s. All right. Going up to the room. Look at the out. Hi. We’re going up to the floor. Floor. But Mickey hands up there. You see that? It’s cool. I see it. You see it? All right. We are room two. Look at us. We’re all the way up here. We are room 2414. 242. Okay, we are this way. Oo, I think we’re going to end again, Carrie. It looks like it cuz Yeah. 2414 all the way down. Look at this. Is it big? Really big. All right, everybody. We are staying in a ocean view to queen bed. It’s considered a inn cuz it’s in the main building here. There are different buildings. I’ll show you the map here in a second. But look at this room, you guys. And more importantly, look at the view. All right. So, this is a DVC resort. So, you do kind of have a little kitchenet area, kitchen or not kitchen, microwave, um refrigerator, some storage. You have some extra storage with your iron, extra pills, and all that stuff. And now, and now you can see Olivia. You have the bathroom here. Good vanity space. Lots of vanity space. And then here’s a look at the shower. Little Mickey right there kind of. And then here is their shampoo, conditioner, body wash. And you see that? And Olivia wants to show. Yeah. Look at all that. Look at all those goodies. This is a good size. There’s a lot of space here though. A lot of space. And then you have the main um area. So that is the pull down. We will show that in a second. But you have the queen bed. There’s a lot of space in this room. This isn’t like a handicap room or anything like that. This is just like a standard ocean view room, but maybe with the ocean view room, you get a little extra space. Um, we did pay about 375 per night for this, so comparable to like a moderate level resort at Walt Disney World price point wise. So, just FYI. All right. You have your TV dresser. You have a little kitchen area here and or desk like a workstation if you need it. But everything here is coastal. It smells phenomenal in here. You get little Oh, you just said I just saw this, too. You get little Nemo and Merlin. That’s cool. And then they’re doing some photos out there right now. And then we’ll go out there in a second. [Music] All right, everybody. Here’s our balcony. And more importantly, here is our ocean view. The main area is just kind of like right over there. A lot to explore. Beautiful view. I’m very excited to be here today. Olivia, you’re going to be my helper to get all of our bags. Yes. I like staying up here. This This is cool. Like being at the very top. And again, here’s another view. Daddy, you bring my my kickboard? No, I don’t think we brought your kickboard. But we did bring some some stuff. We brought the beach ball, the little beach ball, the pool noodles. Yeah. Then we can do the bench stuff. Yeah, we can do all that stuff. All right, Olivia. We’re going to use one of the carts. I never used one. You never used one of these before. Good job, Olivia. You’re doing very good. Proud of you. We need a little bit. Yeah, I got I got it. All right, let’s load her up. All right, we have everything loaded up. We are ready to go back to the room. You ready? Thank you for being a big helper. All right, so we are back. We are not a end. We are like one of the first rooms off of the main lobby level. Got it. Yeah, open it. Good job. All right, so let’s go over some of the stuff that they gave us at check-in. So, lots of instructions here. The in building here, this is going to be the main building. And this is the main check-in. Um the all the dining options are mostly are here. Our room is in the inn. We have an ocean view in. That’s the just the name of the room. Uh parking was this way. There is a campfire tonight. I’ll get into that in a second. She highlighted that for us. Uh the Mickeyshaped pool and the slide and the main entrance to the beach are right here, highlighted right there. And then she did say it looks like it’s a large resort, but it’s really not. From this point to this point, it’s about like 2 to 3 minutes. They do have a ton of offerings and events that are scheduled. I’ll go ahead and pause if you’re interested in this, but um lots of good stuff. The campfire sing along is tonight at 8:30 p.m. Unlimited s’mores. The person at the front desk did say the record is 70 s’mores. Um I don’t think we’ll be able to beat that today. Here are some of the rentals for the uh the beach. If you are This is a DVC uh resort. if you’re a DBC member. I’ll go ahead and pause this for cabanas, chairs, and all that stuff. Really, I feel like the pricing is not that bad um compared to like other beach resorts or other beach areas here in Florida. But yeah, that’s it in a nutshell. And then they also gave us this stuff. Olivia, what did they give you? Sharkies. They did. Those are like little little sequins. Those are nice. They gave us Amelia. You’re wearing sissy’s goggles. But uh if you haven’t noticed, the girls are in their swimsuits. We’re getting ready to go to the pool. We’ll probably grab quick service there tonight at the marketplace. We’ll show you that. And then tomorrow, breakfast at Wind and Waves, the only restaurant that they have here on property, the beach. Tons more to come. Ton more to come. You guys are in the waterproof case now. So, I apologize the audio was a little bit off. Pretty crowded for the pool here today. Quick scan. Lots of chairs, lots of umbrellas. They do have a splash pad kids area. So maybe I’ll try to sit over there and see how that goes. We got some seats over here under the umbrella. Quick look at the little kids area. They do offer towels and light vest and all that for kids. So just an FYI, just like any other Disney resort, Disney’s Barrel Beach is the same. Extra small for Amelia and small for O. You need to have your room key for uh tolerant rental. So, I have to go back and get that. But check on the life vest, though. Got a quick look at the pool. Quick look at the pool. I was going to say it’s pretty crowded here today. And a spot just opened up closer to where we want to be, so I’m going to move our stuff. They also have complimentary pool noodles, so I will get those for the girls, too. Why not? This is our new spot, by the way. Right here, right by the main pool. Oh yeah, this is perfect. Look, I got noodles. Olivia, you want to go out in the middle a little bit? Let’s go in the middle a little bit. Okay. [Music] All right, everybody. It is slide time. I’m going to go on by myself. Olivia does not want to go on. Mickey, there’s another head Mickey. And another one. We should be able to get some good views at the top here. Oh yeah, some great views. There’s the main building. It’s clearing out a little bit. Hi family. Here we go. Oh boy. Pick up some speed. That was pretty fun. You saw me. Five. All right, I’m going to charge the camera for a little bit and then maybe we’ll do some dinner time here. We’ll play it out. We’ll see. All right, Olivia and I are going to get some snacks right now. Right out. Here, push the button. All right, thank you. All right, we are going to the Wind and Waves Marketplace. This is where you can get quick service food. And you can also get refillable mugs. I’m going to uh Do you want the pink one? All right. $23 right now. So, you can get unlimited refill. So, that’ll be good for us. We’ll get that. Have a couple snacks. But you want to get a snack or you want to see what they have over here, Olivia? All right. Go ahead and look at the menu. Pause. Ooh, they have mac and cheese for Amelia for later. Taco, spicy chicken sandwich. Uh, we we have to pay for it first though. Get get two fruit cups for you and for right now. It’s a little too early for dinner. Uh, slide it. One, two. All right. All right. Go ahead and get get your ice. That’s good. And then put your put the cup down there. It should recognize it. No, no. Push the push real hard. There you go. [Music] So, we’re we’re going to see the campaign. So, we’re going to eat up a to left or right. So, what are we going to do? We’re going to do two. So, let’s do it. So, we’re going to do this and we’re not going to do it. All right. So, we’re going to do a loud and safe. All right. So, the cast member that checked us out said good until 9:13. We are here August uh 29th. So, it’s good. Hi, Olivia. They also said this is good if you’re going to Orlando after Vero Beach that it works at the Disney hotels and stuff that are there at uh at Walt Disney World. So, that’s a plus. They’re playing Nemo music right now for loves Nemo. Uh one more thing on this. The marketplace closes at 900 p.m. Just right over there. So, if you want a refill if you want a refill Oh, Pop Century. Yeah, we did just go there. What are you going to do? So, if you want a refill for before the night, you got to come before 9:00 p.m. All right, guys. That’s a wrap on the pool. We did eat dinner here at Winden Waves Market. Nothing’s nothing special, nothing fancy. It’s just typical like theme park food. Mia had mac and cheese. Carrie and uh Olivia split a sandwich. I had a buffalo chicken strip with French fries. But yeah, but we had a good time at the pool today. It was fun. We have decided we are definitely going to the bonfire later at 8:30. So these girls need to get new bats or bats today and then maybe we’ll do a little bit of walking around before the bonfire. Going back inside. Haven’t really showcased the lobby a whole lot. So hopefully we can do that to right now. So like I said this way you have Wind and Waves Grill and you have like a little activity center, some games down that way. But oh, this is their lobby area. They got the little little sea turtles down there. A little mosaic. That’s cool. Look, Disney Cruise Line. This is the the Disney dream. [Music] Back into the room. Go back out here one more time. [Applause] Yeah, we pretty much lucked out with the weather today. It was supposed to rain like I don’t know, a couple hours ago for for a while and it passed us. Oh, we uh we just met some people from England in the elevator on our way up. So, hello across the pond. All right, you guys. Going back down to the lobby level. I’m going to go to the gift shop area. My hair is on another level from Look at that. Look at that. It’s in the pool. Haven’t showered or anything yet. Um Carrie if she got her makeup wipes, so I want to see if they have something like that down there. And then two, want to buy some bug spray cuz we’re going to be the bugs are going to be out for the uh the bonfire. One thing’s for sure, this is more crowded our second time around. Here’s the front desk. I don’t know if I highlighted that before or not. Cool mural in the background there, but uh here we go. Island Grove Packing Company. And I’ll give you guys a little tour while I’m here if I can. Of course, Carrie already looked at this section, double the Pulzer section, but you have the DVC area and kind of some um Barrel Beach stuff scattered in here, but this is strictly just DVC. It’s a lunch I’ve never seen before. Here’s some of the Var Beach stuff. Vero Beach mug, $20. Foul suit for like the perks. Good quality sweater. I got a jacket over there. All right. They do have some other stuff here like they do in the parks, some snacks, some drinks, some clothing, some teas, and some Lounge Flies. Didn’t have makeup wipes, but this might do. It’s the best I can find for her. I had to ask the cast member if they had bug spray. They did. It’s way back there, but we got it. As a FYI as well, you guys, I did get a 10% passholder discount. So, they do well, Disney World passholder discounts here, which is plus. Here we go. Four. Oh, I thought they had this on every floor. The ice bending and guest laundry is on the fourth floor. I do love looking over this the the railing here. I get like mini like uh wilderness lodge type vibes here or like Animal Kingdom Lodge. Not the same scale by any means, but kind of has that same feel to it being at the top and looking down. [Music] Is it good to be back at Care? Good to be back. Yeah, kids. They have some of this like insect repellent out here. This stuff does it for nos. It’s like a putting the repellent on. They’re those little bugs that bite you. More bugs. Yeah. Can you get them? Yeah. I’ll put it on you in a second. Huh? No. You don’t. It’s messy. Look up. I was just saying that we forgot our reusable cuff and Carrie saved the day. She brought it. I feel disgusting right now though. Like I just lather myself up with all that book stuff. But it works. It works. We’re exploring a little bit right now. All the resorts. Missed this last time. I didn’t know you can rent bikes. Shuffleboard area. Shuffle board. I know they have like a little mini golf course kind of too. So, they have some good extra activities to keep your little ones or yourself occupied while you’re here at Disney’s Barrow Beach. Hey, Mickey. Hey, Mickey. Oh, yeah. See, look. Here’s the uh mini golf course. Not a good view. Here’s the mini golf course. Here’s another look at some of the mini golf course. It must be like a part like a 9-hole course. I don’t think it’s very big. Some of the extra buildings that they have uh on property here kind of matches the same architectural style a little bit as the main building. They do have like cottages back here. And we’ll get a better look at some of them. Look at this. We already do. We already get a look. The leatherback cottage. I wonder how much these sleep at. I think there’s at least three bedrooms in this in the cottages. Wow, Amelia, we love Veril Beach. Consider it like a moderate level resort at Walt Disney World. This is probably our favorite moderate resort if we’re comparing. Carrie, I have to have my list in front of you. Okay. This is great if you’re going on a cruise. It’s about an hour from Port Canaveral. So, if you come down early, stay here, go on your cruise if you don’t want to do paid extra money for like theme parks or whatnot or after your cruise or mix it in a little bit with a trip to Walt Disney World. I don’t think you guys will regret it. This is another entrance to the the beach. Turtle. You said ninja turtle. Did you say ninja turtles? The turtle. Yeah, I see it. And then another good look at the pool. It’s a good spot just to hang out, relax under the palm trees, under the the sunlight here. Even when it was packed earlier, like the pool was packed, but it doesn’t feel like pack. You know what I mean? [Music] That is gigantic. That was a pretty big lizard. I know it’s not like an iguana like they have in town in Miami or South Florida. Those things are huge. But that was a that was a big lizard for sure. For sure. So, we’re already kind of at the other end. They weren’t lying. And if you live here, it just walks right across campfire north lawn right around the corner there. We still have some time to kill. So, we’re going to go check out the Peter Pan tunnel by the security station. Just for reference, some of the other buildings have their own garage parking as well. But, vacation home number 12. This is kind of the entrance that you kind of get for which is kind of cool. This looks pretty cool actually. It’s like a really cool apartment building. Look, Mr. Smeed. Help me, Mr. Smeed. Help me. What’s that from? The Peter Pan ride. Captain Hook. Look, there’s Tinkerbell. Got the Lost Boys. Got Peter Pan. There’s Wendy, I think. Yep. Uh, you can kind of see them over in the distance. So, we won’t explore this whole area, but there’s parking, obviously, tennis courts, basketball courts, and a treasure trail. All right, guys. Now, we’re just going to kind of hang out. Like if I had a view of of a parking lot, I feel like my experience would just be completely different. Ocean view makes a difference here. And I feel like it’s not that much more expensive than like a standard I mean grant it’s a little bit more expensive, right? But it’s not that much more expensive than like a standard room. So, if they have availability and it’s not like outrageously priced due to like something going on here, um upgrade to an ocean view room because you get views like this. I know you guys have seen this view already. Not that many people on the beach right now this morning, but um in a little bit we are going to go down there for breakfast. Wind and Waves Grill. Now, for us, uh, well, backtrack. Opens up at 8:00 a.m. every morning, and you do need to book a reservation for this, um, restaurant. They don’t have it on like the My Disney Experience app. You have to go to Open Table. So, if you go to the the Disney Varel Beach website or go to Open Table and search for it, you will find it there. Plenty availability. We looked, we booked maybe 3 or 4 days ago, bunch of different options for us. The last time that we came here, I didn’t know that we needed to book a reservation. So, when we checked in, they had limited availability. So, just FYI for you guys. All right, you guys see the little squiggly lines there? We missed we missed it, but that was a rocket launch this morning. Our room is there. We wouldn’t have been able to see it for a room, which we thought we were going to. So, we came down and we missed it. But just know that if there is a rocket launch, you kind of get perfect views of it right here on the beach. Who’s ready for breakfast? I know you are, Olivia. You’re hungry. Camila, you ready for breakfast? Are Are you going to get some Mickey wobbles or eggs? Macaroni. Macaroni. That’s not breakfast food. All right. Now we are heading to Wind and Waves. We’re a little early, but there’s a little bit of love, so we’ll be seated here shortly. All right, we’re just seated. So, you walk in here. They have two separate sides. But here’s a look at the main dining area. You have a nice mural here. coast of Florida. And everything here is nautical themed. It’s pretty cool. All right, so here’s a look at the menu. Wind and Waves. Go ahead and pause. I haven’t really looked at the menu to see what I’m going to get. We did watch our old vlog 3 years ago from this. And it looked like I got the biscuits and gravy. So, I might get that again. And then I’ll get like a side of hash browns. I’m a big hash brown guy. I love hash browns. Yeah. Here it is on the menu. Biscuits and gravy. And then you can get all these different sides. Might get bacon or sausage. You can home fries. Lots of good options here. I thought I saw they had like a Mickey waffle. Oh, no. Maybe it’s just the key lime stuff. That sounds good, too. From the griddle. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Okay. No, I’m not crazy. From the griddle, you can get a choice of a Mickeyshaped waffle for like an adult entree. pancakes, French toast, served with bacon or sausage. But I’m think I’m gonna go with the biscuits and gravy again. All right, Olivia, let’s see. What is Olivia gonna get? Let’s look at the kids menu. You can get scrambled eggs, Minnie’s multigrain cereal, Mickey shade waffles, dollar sand dollars. So, you’re going to get the Mickey waffles, a fruit cup, and bacon. All right, drink showed up. Tomato juice, orange juice. What’d you get, Olivia? Orange juice. Orange juice. What’d you get, Amelia? I got orange juice. You got orange one shoes, too? Yeah. We’re not too big coffee people anymore. We give us a give us some pre-workout and we’re good. I can’t drink. Food just showed up. Olivia’s Mickey waffles and your bacon. You love bacon. Mia got eggies and toast and fresh fruit. This looks awesome. Just like last time. Try it. You get two eggs on top. Penny style, your biscuits and gravy, and then a side of potatoes. And then Carrie got the a traditional breakfast. Two egg whites, you know, bacon, fruit, toast, the essentials. It’s American classic. Yep. Now, let’s dig in. I did forget about the uh got another one. It’s like the peppers and onions and the and the side potatoes. Got my little pile there. Just FYI. FYI. Flame plate club. That’s how you do it. That was good. All right, that’s a wrap. We did get our uh discount as well for breakfast. A lot more people here now this morning. Here’s a quick look before we go. And we’re out. Also, since today is checkout day, we have to bring our stuff to the car first before we go to the beach. All right, saying goodbye to the beach view from my room. And hello to the beach. Barely anybody here. Let’s go. I do like how they like level or raise some of the beds so everybody can kind of see the perks of having a private beach to go to as part of staying here at Ver Beach. Not many people, not going to be overly crowded. You can literally just take a few steps and you’re here. It’s perfect. It’s perfect. And we get to choose whatever spot we want to right now. It’s like somebody’s house is right over there. That’s kind of cool. All right, we got our Mickey umbrella from the water parks with us. Here’s a quick look at our our setup. Essentials: beach toys, towels, some couple chairs. We are going to enjoy the ocean. I like to [Music] [Applause] find some good seashells. Olivia little seashell bag. Got a couple big ones in there already. And I have a heart one. Mama found a heart. Oh, you found a heart one. Yeah. What? There. All right. I got a game I can play with the girls. It’s pretty mild right now, but the big waves can come at any point. Olivia holding wet sand. Happy, are you building sand castles? You digging a big hole? Are you digging a big hole? This one’s not that good, but we found some pretty good seashells here at this beach. And then a look at the beach resort. We’re at Vero Beach. You found some more Amelia. Oh wow. I don’t know the exact time right now. I don’t have my watch or phone with me, but here’s a look kind of midday around lunchtime. 12:00 12:30 I think it is. Filled up a little bit around here.
