45🇮🇳 世界最大の塩砂漠を横断🌍 ラン・オブ・カッチ(インド)
We got up this morning before
sunrise to experience one of the world’s largest salt deserts all to
ourselves. How amazing is that? Hey, [Music] guys. Can I just say that these socks
went with us on the round the world trip and this trip and they still have
no holes. So honestly, Decathlon Ketua, this is not an advertisement,
but bloody good job. [Music] Okie dokie. Oh, shy. Yes. I hope the gate is open. Yeah. Let’s
go check. Goodbye traditional Va hut. Was a nice stay. Totally such a good night.
Was beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Okay, let’s check out this gate. Oh no, there
might be a lock on it. Let me check. Uh, there’s a chain. Let me see.
Oh, no. No. It’s very secure. It was a Jane, but it was
just wrapped around. Okay. Goodbye, Ran Homeay Resort. And hello, Open Road. [Music] Good morning. Hello. We have to fill in. Okay. So this is the entrance to the white desert
and here is a border security because we’re very close to the border to Pakistan. The guys
yesterday they told us that just 50 km this way is the Pakistani border and that’s why they’ve
got like a military border checkp post. Okay, sign. Perfect. Okay, thank you.
Okay, that was nice and easy. It’s currently 6:23 and sunrise is
officially at 6:30 this morning. Look, here’s one military guy doing a morning run.
What a place for a morning run. [Music] Nice. Yes, we are here at the entrance to
the salt desert. And seriously, I think we are the only people here. Wow. Yes, we are the only people. Nice. Nice.
Wow. That’s incredible. And I think my love, we just made it in time for the sunrise. Yes,
we are two minutes early. Whoop! Whoop! [Music] Good morning world. Welcome back to the channel.
It’s ride number 46 on our motorcycle adventure here in India. And we are here at the great run of
Kutch, the great salt desert of Kutch. And we got up this morning before sunrise to experience
one of the world’s largest salt deserts all to ourselves. How amazing is that? Hey, [Music]
we came all the way out here into the very very western corner of India in the state of Gujarat
to come and ride on this massive flat salty plane. Wow. What an incredible place. And the aim for
this morning is just to get out there and go and ride on some salt flats. It doesn’t feel too
soft, so I think I’m going to be all right, but I will take it easy. Yeah, this salt
flat actually becomes a giant lake during the monsoon season, just like we saw when
we were in Bolivia. Wow, what a place. Wow. Oh, look at this. Yeah, there is no chance that
we can ride in that. We couldn’t ride on the salt flats there because it was like a big salty
pond and it was basically impossible to ride on. But we are here in the Ran Salt Desert in the
dry season, the very hot and dry season. So, riding here is absolutely no problem. No problem.
Nice. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Wow. Look, it’s all salt here. It’s all salt. Yeah.
Everything you can see around you here is salt. We just need some chips now. Yeah.
We’re just trying to get out past all of the tracks and signs of civilization. I think
this might be as far as they go. Oh. Oh, I dig my front wheel in already. Uh, okay.
Let’s walk around first and see how how it’s looking. Oh, the side stand is digging in.
Oh, no. I think I need you to have to pull me out. I’m stuck. Yeah, that’s better.
3 2 1 go. 3 2 1 go. 3 2 1 go. 3 2 1 go. Thank you. How soft is this? Oh, it’s not really
soft, but here. Oh, is there actually still water underneath? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh. Ooh. Ooh.
Careful. Okay. There’s sort of a crust, right? If I just Ah, yeah. Underneath here
is like still water. Wow. Look at that. Oh, it’s so nice here. Wow. It’s a little bit of
grass. Yeah. Don’t stand on it. Oh, sorry. Grass. Look at that. Wow. That is a vast salty
plane. Yes. You can see some machinery, I think, up there. Probably harvesting the salt. Yeah.
When you look on Google Maps on satellite view, you can see a lot of like squares that they’ve
cut out of this. I think that they are harvesting a lot of salt from this area. Such a magical
place. Look how quiet it is. Can’t be India here. I feel like an astronaut exploring another planet. I mean, look at
this place. It’s just completely open and desolate. Yeah, it’s one of these
places you really have to travel far to see something like that.
Look at that. It’s all all sold. [Music] Okay, that bit definitely
looks a little bit soft and sludgy. So, I don’t think it’s a good idea to
ride out onto the white stuff here. But I’m going to see if I can ride
on the brown stuff just around here. Let me see. Okay, that’s not really very easy.
I didn’t get very far, did I? Okay, let’s try to get back over to here. Okay, ready? Okay, we’re definitely not getting very far. No
way. Oh no. Did I salt you? You want to eat me? Yes. Salted and ready to eat. Yeah. Look, this
was my That was my adventure onto the salt flats. It’s funny because it looks so perfect. Like you
can just ride out. There’s no way we can ride on that. That’s like It’s basically like riding
on sand. So, I think this is about as far as we can go on the salt flats. So, I think we can
just uh stay here and enjoy the sunrise. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Welcome to the Ran of Kutch. This
area spans 2,900 square miles or 7 12,000 kilometers making it one of
the largest salt deserts in the world. The Gujarati name ran of Kutch comes from the
Sanskrit arena meaning salt flat and kutch because it is home to the kachi people.
During the monsoon season this whole area becomes a massive shallow lake. But in winter
the water evaporates leaving behind this thick layer of salt crystals creating this white
wonderland you see around us. The region was once home to Indis Valley civilization sites like Doera
and archaeologists have found pottery beads and stepwells dating back 4 and a half thousand years.
The area is also a migration point for flamingos, pelicans, and cranes, making it a paradise
for bird watchers when there’s water here. Oh. Yeah, that would be not good for bikes. No, I think that’s on. How do I know if it’s on
360? Yeah, I I I put it to 360. Oh, okay. So, it should be on on 360. Hello. 360 video on
the salt flats. Let’s go. Let’s go. [Music] [Music] Nice and hard to ride on here. But yeah, there
in the flats it was just so soggy and there’s no chance that I can ride on that. Anyway, look,
we are still riding on one of the world’s largest salt flats and that is awesome. And look at that
for a view in the morning. That is wonderful. Incredible. What a place. What a place. Yeehoo.
Woo! [Music] Feels a little bit like riding on snow. Yeah, it’s a winter wonderland.
Yeah, exactly. It’s a winter wonderland of India. Merry Christmas. Oh, I can see the first
visitors. Oh, I think they make a photo shoot. with a girl and she has a really nice
dress on. Look, they’ve got a whole team. Hello. Where are you from? Oh, from England. Oh,
nice to meet you. Nice. Nice to meet you. Wow, you have some good camera setups here. Wa. Free
wedding. Oh, is this They’re getting married. It is. Hi. Oh, very nice. So, this is their wedding
photo shoot. Wedding photo shoot. Yes. Yes. Wow. Free wedding. Are you Are you in traveling for
India? Yeah. Traveling all India. Yeah. And we thought we have to come here to see this place.
How many traveling kilome? Just one. It’s very soft. There’s some water. There’s some water.
Some water. Ah, water. There. Water. A little bit water. A little bit difficult. So, we come
back. Okay. Now, happy journey, my friend. Thank you so much. Enjoy, guys. So, there we go. Our
journey on the salt flats has come to an end. Yeah. But that was a really nice experience. Yes.
Okay. Let me get my camera in. Look at this. Hey, I don’t even need to get off the bike. Are
you a professional vlogger by any chance? I try. We try. Anyway, free frame. We using free
frame for our videos. Now I just put the cap on. So there we go guys. What a magical place. But
our time here riding in the salt desert of Kutch is not over for today because we still have a
spectacular ride coming up. So let me show you where we’re heading today. So we are here near
the town of Dordo and today we are going to be crossing the great Ran of Kutch Salt Lake
on a road known as the road to heaven. Yes, as I said, this area is a massive expanse of
salt desert spanning 2,900 square miles. And the road that we’re going to be taking today
is called the road to heaven. And it basically traverses through it. So, we’ve still got a
lot more beautiful riding coming up today. Oh, yes. And I’ve been looking forward to this day
for a while. Yeah. We had actually a lot of people saying like, “You have to take this road.
This road is amazing.” So, I’m super excited. But look over here, guys. We’ve got some camels
towing some carts. And these guys are heading over to where we entered the salt desert just
back there. And these guys offer rides on the platform at the back. The little cart out into
the desert towed by a camel. Hello. But anyway, we don’t need camels because we’ve got our
little camels here. We do. Yeah. Sorry, mate. I think he really thought that we
wanted to go on a ride with him. Bye. Love seeing camels. Look, here’s one of the camels.
Hey, buddy. Have a great day. Enjoy. [Music] Oh, look. This is the uh the milk sellers.
Oh, yeah. With all their milk jugs. It’s really interesting. I didn’t know that. Um,
here in India, they don’t drink pasteurized milk. They actually drink raw milk. And that’s
why they always boil it on the stove. Oh, wow. Yeah. No wonder the chai and the
coffees taste so good. Yeah. Anyway, we hit a a really busy part of this road here.
Yeah. We’re coming through a little town here, and the towns are always the complete opposite of
an open, empty desert. I’ve said it many times, India really is all or nothing. I hope the road’s
not going to be like this all the way. Oh my god. Me too. Can you get past? Oh yeah, you can.
Just give him a beep. Yes. Thanks, mate. Yes. Okay. Yes. Nice. You did it. Freedom.
Until the next truck. 12 seconds later. That’s it. Awesome. Oh, awesome. It looks like all the trucks are
going off that way. Looks like there’s a quarry over there. So, hopefully that is the last
we’ll see of the trucks on this road. Wow, guys, check that out. It’s now 101
kilometers on this road here. Just pretty much one straight shot all
the way. What is he doing? Okay, I will just undertake him then from this side. But
apparently it’s about 85 kilometers to the road to heaven. I don’t know how you call this road
then here now. The road to the road to heaven. Whoa. I don’t like when they pass me so
close. Good morning, guys. Hello. Oh, got a cow on the road. If a cow was a motorbike,
what kind of motorbike would it be? A Kawasaki. Good morning, guys. Wa! Look at the
horns on these ones. Beautiful. Come on, guys. This road ain’t wild
enough for the both of us. Oh, look. They’re having like little necklaces
around their necks. Hello. Namaste. Wow. I’m gonna boop him. Hello. Hi. Look at this one.
He’s got curly horns. Come. Come on. Come on. This is it, guys. We are here.
Welcome to the road to heaven. [Music] Oh, nice. Oh my god, look at this. I can’t see
anything on the horizon. Not a single hill. Like the sky and the land are almost combined
into one. Yeah, it looks like one color. Yeah, I think that’s why they call it the road
to heaven, right? Because as you ride, you’re just seeing like the white. Yeah, exactly.
It’s like we’re ascending. What a magical place. Yeah. Yeah. Let’s check out this side. [Music]
Yep. Pretty much the same. [Music] [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Music] What a morning. Wow. What a place. Oh my god.
I love this day. Seriously, it looks like snow, right? And this whole area was actually formed
by geological uplift. This used to be part of the Arabian Sea, a very shallow part of the
Arabian Sea. And then the land was pushed upwards and that meant that the seaater
retreated, leaving basically a giant salty lake that over time has just evaporated into
these salt flats that we see here today. Well, it’s really interesting actually because
apparently Alexander the Great was actually sailing on this part of Gujarat. So even
during the time of Alexander the Great, this was still uh a sea. So a pretty unique
place in the world and a wonder of geography. I brought you some salt. Thank you. No, don’t
eat it. No. This is where people probably making peepee. Oh, it’s a saltier. Did you just say that
the salt was salty? Of course it’s salty. Salt. I thought you were a salt lover.
I thought so, too. Oh, wow. Yeah, it’s probably salt mixed with pee pee. Wow, guys, check that out. We have like
a really pink salt pool here. Wow. So, and it’s pink because of this certain
bacteria which lives in there. Yeah, I think so. I think it’s like a like a algae
or something that’s growing in there. You know, like sometimes whole lakes turn pink,
don’t they? Yeah, I know that there in Australia a lot of pink lakes. How much
for you to drink a cup of that water? Ooh, I think I would throw up after
£10,000. I can offer you 10,000 rupees. Oh, we have reached something. some sort of check post, but the guys don’t
seem to be coming out to say anything. He just gave me a thumbs up. Stop here. Have a little
bite to eat. Have a coffee. Oh, look. It’s called Hotel Heaven. And it’s
actually interesting that uh here in India the word hotel actually means restaurant. Sometimes
they do have rooms. This place might have rooms but it’s no guarantee. The word hotel is just to
say we serve food here, not that we have rooms. Oh, look at this. Hello. We’ve got the kids up in the roof cleaning. Ollie, be careful. Woohoo! Woohoo! It looks good. Looks really good. I wonder why
they put so much curd on it. Do you have to eat a lot of curd with the
alo paratha or just a little bit or do you eat it normally like that?
I’m just sort of dipping it in. I mean, it’s a really tight battle now
between masala dosa and alopatha. No, I think masala dosa is still still
the favorite. Still the favorite. Tradition is pretty good. We have new subscribers.
Yes. Gujarati or Hindi? Hindi. You speak Hindi. Gujarati. Gujarati. Ah, okay. Okay. Can we talk?
Say something. Gujarati. No, I don’t know. How How do you say hello? Good. Gujarati. Kencho.
Kimcho. Okay. Kencho. Sounds nice. Kencho. Kencho. Do you learn English in school? In school.
English. Where do you live? Your your town. Oh, there. Oh, cool. Wow.
There. You from here? Wow. Gujarati blogger. Okay. Channel
channel name. Hello. Bend. Okay. Let me take picture when signal
I will look. I will subscribe. Bye. Nice to meet you. Check out where we are at
the moment. We’re on this island which is in the middle of the salt lake. And on this island is
Doa Vera which is actually just here. And Doera is the ancient Indis Valley civilization that I
mentioned before. like do and the civilizations here are some of the oldest civilizations in the
entire world. 4,500 years ago, there were people here doing whatever people did. And there’s a
UNESCO World Heritage site on this island. So now we’ve got to ride across this island and then
we’ve got another bit riding through the Salt Lake and then I think we’re going to be joining up
with another truck road again. But we’re not going to worry about that for now. Let’s go enjoy the
open road. Oh no, my bike is a little bit salty. Oh no. Yeah, Mowgli will survive.
Mowgli always survives. Mr. Dog, you are covered in mud. Okay. What did he do? We can see here on the sign what the uh ancient
site of Dol Vera actually looks like. And it’s pretty amazing actually because it looks like
they built like circular structures very very similar to what we stayed in last night. So
it’s pretty amazing that that tradition has continued for 4 and a half thousand years. I would
love to visit but it is just too too hot. Oh, and we have to get out of
this salty desert area. We’re supposed to be heading towards the Himalayas. Oh no, look at this truck. Oh,
that has not gone very well. Jesus. Got to be careful on those corners, guys. [Applause]
[Music] So, we have left the island behind and we are
back out on the salt flats. And it’s crazy just how remote that island is. I mean, look,
it’s just surrounded by nothingness. Yeah, it is even more crazy that there are actually
small villages. There are people living there. It’s so incredible. Like anything they don’t have
there on the island. Like imagine they need to get something. I mean, where are they going? Exactly.
Oh, I need a hard drive. You know, it’s like, right, got to cross the hundreds of kilometers
of salt flats. I wonder if they have something like Amazon here where they can just order. Yeah.
Amazon delivery. Where are you? In the middle of nowhere. No. Pretty special special place. A
special people. Yeah. It’s like one of these places in the world where you just ride through
it and it’s just mind-blowing. And if you guys have been enjoying this episode, this exploration
into the great ran of Kutch, then please, please, please click the subscribe button at the
bottom of the video if you haven’t already. Subscribing to the channel is totally free and
it’s the best way to support our adventures and to make sure that you never miss a ride on our
journey across India because we still have a lot more rides to do and a lot more awesome places
to show you guys. So, please click the button, subscribe to the channel now and thank
you so much everyone. [Applause] [Music] Guys, it got really hot now, so it’s time for our
little shower. Let’s get it in, shall we? Yes, please. Oh, that’s nice. That’s nice. Down my arm.
Up my arm. Yes. Yes. It’s coming out your armpit. Yes. Namaste. Wow. Look at this outfit. Yeah. This
guy looks like a proper desert guy. Stylish. Okay. There more here. Straight out. Now you have to
go up to the top. No, not in my sweetheart. Okay, just poured it all down my trousers. Hey, you
need like a little bit of fresh wind down there as well. People will think I pee peee myself.
Okay, so apparently we have another 44 kilometers about 50 minutes until we reach the town where
we might stop for tonight. We couldn’t really find like a proper accommodation online, but
it looks the most promising place. Let’s go. Yeah. Well, there aren’t very many choices to
be honest because here, as you can see around, is a very remote and very uninhabited place.
Oh, but that’s nice with the wet t-shirt. Yes, homemade AC. Nice. This last 45k is
going to be a breeze. A cool breeze. Check out this billboard. Hotel Vunderan
and Guest House. It looks like they have quite nice rooms there. It says it’s 20
minutes away. I think we should aim to get to there. That place looks nice. It says it’s
opposite CNG Petrol in Santalpur. You found it. Okay, cool. Hey, sometimes advertising does
work. Guys, stay here. We’ve got a restaurant. We’ve got lovely rooms. Yes. I hope they have
a lovely price as well. That’s the only thing, isn’t it? Yes. Yesterday the accommodation was
3,000 rupees, which was definitely over budget, but it was worth it because we stayed like in a
really nice traditional hut. Yeah, exactly. It’s not every day you get to stay in a hut that has a
design which has been unchanged for 4 and a half thousand years. Apart from maybe the bathroom
has been upgraded a little bit. But anyway, what a ride it has been today for at least the
last 150 km. We have just had a straight long open road with like very very minimal traffic. Yeah,
it’s been really incredible actually after so many busy rides going on these highways with so many
trucks. Oh, it was just lovely just to open up the throttle a bit, just cruise along, look around.
Oh, what a day. What a day it’s been. [Music] It’s a bit sandy, so just be careful. Yeah, bit
grally. Hotel Verde van. Nice. Nice. Looks really busy here. Let’s ask if they have a room
available. Yeah. And have a look if they have electricity. It looks like that they have I
think. No, I think when I was dangling my legs, I kicked a cow poo. Look at that. I think I
literally smashed my foot into a cow poo. Oh no. Oh no. My boots are staying outside
today. Thank you. Thank you very much. Okay, we ordered a lassie. And this
is a very elaborate lassie ice cream. Oh my goodness. Wow, there’s like some coconut. And it looks like we hit the jackpot with
this place because they have an AC hall. So, we’re in the air conditioning already. And
they do have a room for us tonight. They’re just cleaning it at the moment. And you won’t
guess the price. 1,000 rupees. Hooray. So, a pretty successful day. Going to the duara sunna
temple of god’s field. Where is this? Dara temple. This going it’s going fast. Lots of driving. It’s
Oh, is it is it We are 13 members. We have three members. Your English is very good. I teach
English from Dualingo. I have Dualinga. Oh, learning German. We departed from on 6:30 p.m.
and we reached on Harat on 7 to 8:00 p.m. Wow. 7 to 8:00 p.m. today. Wow. Okay. Is your Is
your father your brother? And you know about Namaste. And Dan that’s nice to meet you. Nice
to meet you. 5 seconds. Are you okay? I also Happy Germany. Bye-bye. Bye. Have a nice day. You
too. Good evening, guys. We made it to our amazing room. Happy and alive. Happy and alive, guys. And
by the way, we designed these t-shirts ourselves and they’re available on our Etsy shop which is
in the link in the description. So, if you like the look of this or this t-shirt as well, our
overlander t-shirt with the motorbike and the world, if you like the look of these t-shirts,
then please head to our Etsy store in the link in the description and order one today. We have
as well like this really, really cute key rings, Happy and Life key rings. [Music] And we have
other stuff as well. So, just check out our Etsy shop and shop around a little bit that we can
afford a nice room and a nice dinner. But anyway, this room here is actually really nice.
Check that out. I mean, in my opinion, the bed is maybe a little bit small, so maybe
Ollie has to sleep here. Hey, but otherwise, we have a sink here, which is as well actually quite
funny that it’s outside. Our bathroom is here. Well, our toilet is without toilet seat, but
who needs toilet seats anyway? Otherwise, yeah, it’s all right. And this is our view. Pretty open view, a lot of countryside. And wow,
that ride today was incredible. I think one of my favorite rides so far in India. It was just
open roads for miles and miles and miles. Like I think we spent I don’t know 160 kilometers just
going straight. Nobody around. No traffic. I think this was our first ride without traffic. It was
sensational. It was sensational. And to finish the day here with some AC. Can’t get better than that.
Yes. Thank you India. And that’s it from us today. We hope you enjoyed the video. If so, please
give us a thumbs up, subscribe to the channel, share the video with your friends and family,
comment below, and we will see you next time.

It's not right time to travel here… In winter season it's amazing
Aa I commented in Last video, Still water is not evaporated. In monsoon huge waterboy forms here and it get evaporate during summer in span of 2-3 months and it becomes concrete like rock solid plane of salt. Take care guys soil was still spongy and muddy
32:00 lol
A cow with a horn is called Hornda~ Oli 😂😂
This is the road I was talking about.. its beautiful jist like road through heaven
This place is packed during winter especially when festival is going on that lasts for couple months. Many tourists come including internationals. Amazing view. Great vlog. Thank you.

In villages people raise cattle like cow and buffalo for fresh milk but in cities their number is limited so there people drink pressurized milk but in India we still boil it again before drinking it 🫠✨
Beautifully captured ❤

Go to Meghalaya
Good job Ollie didn't see the salt flats at the end of the road and decide the most cinematic move would be, "Third gear and pin it!" 😅
Nice video but how I wish you had read a bit about star movements and undertaken a night safari while negotiating your way back by seeing the position of stars . That place also teaches what pin drop silence actually is. Cool sea winds slap one's face with some velocity without making a sound and one can't even hear an insect. The strange aroma that arises from the ground is another unique experience Good video nonetheless. Keep it up Best wishes always
It's so wonderful to explore my own country through your lens! Enjoy your trips!

Rides that start while it's still dark are the best ones. Just magical, the morning air and ambience. As if you have the whole of India for yourself alone, even if it's just for a while.
If you waited till night you can see milky way galaxy there
