天空の城へのチェアリフト – 松山市(日本)
All right, we’ve got our ticket. It was 520 yen. And looks like we go this way. Yes. And it was the same price whether you chose the cable car or the ropeway. And so we chose chairlift one more up maybe a museum in here. Yeah, I’m excited to see this. Uh, welcome back everybody by the way to the perfect walk. My name’s Clint and we are going to see a castle today up a chairlift. an issue kind of chairlift. And we might have the castle to ourselves today given kind of the lack of people in here. Get this horizon straightened out. All right. Ropeway. Chairlift. Ropeway. Chairlift. Chair lift. Come on. Of course. Chairlift. Oh, looks tiny. [Music] All right. Here we go. All right. And there is no bar or anything. We’re just chilling. You got to love it. And we’ll see if the cable car goes. There’s an archery range down there. This is very cool. That’s the traditional grading for uh when you happen to see each other on a ropeway. 99% sure about that. This is a bouncy ride and this chair is so slippery. Like this this would never this would never fly in the US. Yeah. I’d be down in this net. People would be getting sued. Like this is crazy. I love it. I love chairlifts and ropeways and cable cars. It’s just it might be one of my favorite things about Japan. Like I bet there’s I bet you could do a whole YouTube channel just about ropeways and chairlifts and everything. My favorite so far was um on Matsuyama Island. No, wait. Where? Uh this is Matsuyama. Um, God, over by Hiroshima. I did a live walk from there. Miaima. Miaima Island. I’m sorry y’all. I just get the place names mixed up. Something awful. And then the one in Kobe was fantastic as well. Like that was really cool. Onomici had a great one with a great city view. And do I see a little blue sky poking through? Just a little. Just just a barely little bit. Come on, sun. You could burn off these clouds. It’s not supposed to rain. The walking path up is steep but pretty. So 500 yen. It cost about three bucks to skip the walk up and down. Yeah, nothing wrong with that. And I can take the cable car back down for variety. We don’t want life to be without spice. It is bouncy. I don’t know if y’all can see that or if the gimbal’s going to take that out. It is bouncy as hell, y’all. Crazy. [Music] Uh we’re only I mean there’s a net here of course so if any little kids fall out of this thing it’s not the end of the universe but it is not a net I guess I should say it is a chainlink fence so it is going to hurt when you hit that thing but you are not going to go all the way down into the ravine down there. So I guess that’s a plus. But I guess in Japan they’re like don’t fall. That’s your plan. Don’t fall dummy. Like why would you fall? That that’s kind of a personal problem. That’s a choice you made. Wi-Fi. All right. So excited to see this castle and excited for the the view. And you can see uh because there’s only been one dude on this whole thing and there was nobody in that building. Um, it’s going to be uh lightly crowded. That’s a cool old radio or TV building that is clearly no longer in use. Very, very fun. And there’s the castle right up top to the right. And there goes the cable [Music] car. I love it. So, we’ll get off here and then uh I think make our way up the hill that way and around to the castle. And here goes the cable car. Very cool. I think it said the cable car runs every 10 minutes and obviously the chairlift just goes non-stop. So, the chairlift is the way to go as long as you’re not a little scared of taking a a small risk. But, hello. Hello. Hello. No risk, no biscuit, right? And we want the biscuit. We always want the biscuit. That crow is definitely saying hello. I don’t know if you heard that, but he’s definitely saying hello. I think crows can talk, can’t they? Like limited vocabulary. One of the smartest animals in the world. [Music] Thank you. [Music] All right. Very, very cool. All right, let’s go. Let’s go, friends. Let’s get to walking. We got a castle to explore. Nice start to the walk today. Lots of fun. Uh, mildly inconveniently, the ropeway looks to like it has dropped us at the bottom of a hill. I do have a small suggestion for the next time they build a ropeway that it goes all the way to the castle. Like, this is not an insignificant hill that we still have left to climb. But I guess we need to get a feel for what we’re entering here. All right, you may pause and read this. Katsuyama Hill, it’s a flat top mountain castle. The castle was completed in 1627, rebuilt in 1784. So 1627. That’s 400 years ago. Yeah. 400 years ago and then rebuilt 250 years ago. So steep. I don’t know how steep this looks in the video, but let me tell you, it is pretty damn steep. I can tell you if I was an invader, I’d be like, “Nah, f it. Do not climb on the stone wall. Definitely not going to climb on the stone wall. That’s pretty formid formidable. Oh wow. That’s all right. All right. Looks like the main tower is the one in the back there. And I think we go right here to get in. Yeah, this is very impressive. Oh, we’re going to see the city down here in the background. Way down there. I’ll try and get a better view. Looks like a good view spot right here. Let’s check it out. Wow. Wow. It’s a very good view spot. Holy crap. It’s a hazy day, but still. Whoa. That is something else. And the city is so much bigger than I thought. It’s like 360° around this castle. There’s the little place we walked through and where I took the picture from. Wow. And the the sea is out that way. Wow. Absolutely stunning. [Applause] Very pretty gate. Should we go check out this view? We’re here. It says, “Please do not throw rocks.” I [Applause] agree. Thumbnail. Yeah, I think so. Thumbnail. Who knows? We might find something better. But for now, thumbnail worthy for sure. Pretty [Applause] awesome. She’s taking her own picture here with the selfie stick. That was the international language of can I go ahead and go please. Oh, this main castle tower is outstanding. And this tree is outstanding. And these tourists are outstanding. On top of a mountain by a castle. And there’s a frozen yogurt place. That’s where we’re going after the castle. 10,000 million%. [Applause] We’re getting fro yo. That is a dependable treat in Japan. Wisteria and a view [Applause] [Applause] God I almost I mean if I didn’t love Hameji so much I would be telling you don’t go to Hameji come here. I kind of am telling you that. But I do love the city. But good golly this is cool. And the castle looks great. Here, let me scooch a little so you can see what I’m seeing. It definitely is not the castle that Achi is, but it’s up on the top of a freaking mountain over a city. It’s pretty good. Near the ocean. Yeah, it’s pretty good. And there’s this guy right here. It’s pretty good. Wonder if they’re going to ding me again for an entrance fee. I bet they are. It’s okay for y’all. I’ll do anything. [Applause] Hold please for one second everybody while I pay the people their money. So, turns out it was included in the cable car admission. I had already paid. So, happy days are here again. I didn’t have to pay 100 yen because I had already paid 500 yen. So, how about that? Well, that’s very impressive. That’s very cool. Yeah, this castle is outstanding. And if I know my Japanese castles, we’re about to climb some very awkward stairs. Not these ones, the ones inside that are designed to prevent you from reaching the top of the tower. And they pretty much work on me. couldn’t imagine. But I’ve got to say, if I was an invader, as brutal as it sounds, I would just be like, you know what? Fire exists, and I’m just going to shoot burning arrows into your wooden castle. I’m sure there’s a reason why that didn’t work, but that would be my strategy. General Clint, love these walls. Look at these walls. So cool. This is great. We pretty much have the whole place to ourselves. So, this is kind of the inner courtyard and you would have to maze your way through this whole thing. And imagine archers facing inward and all these gates. This is just basically a kill box. And that would be barred over there. And then an iron gate here. Wow. See if we take off our shoes. Yes. Shoes off. Please take off your shoes to go up. And we will pick 203. for big old shoes. 203. Oh, this is going to be painful. Please keep left. It’s more like a ladder than stairs. If you’re looking for An easy place to visit. Japanese castles are not it. Brutal. Absolutely brutal. Triple Jesus. There’s a [Music] turret. Look at the view they had down into the valley. They could see someone coming miles and miles and miles away. That is quite something, isn’t it? All [Applause] right. Then down we go again. Trying not to fall to our death. Those are just so much steeper than they look. That’s where you would use a matchlock rifle. Here’s the swords and gigantic spears. Good god. Feel the weight of a katana. Oh, wow. Wait. Oh, wow. I was actually expecting that to be That’s so cool. That is awesome. I was expecting them to be like prohibitively heavy, but I guess that’s why they’re such incredible swords, but I guess swing it about 100 times and your arm will feel like it’s going to fall off. More little bow and arrow slits. Stone drop. Oh, so this is where you would smash your enemies by dropping stones on their heads as they come in. Yep. We’ll pass going to the second floor this time cuz it’s crowded. And we’ll go find the main tower. This is stuff you can put on. That’s fun. the root. goes up. There’s no dodging it this time. Exploring a castle, there’s nothing like it. I grew up exploring castles in Germany, and it’s just such a an incredible feeling. to walk where kind of in the halls of power of a bygon era. Pretty insane. There’s like a VR setup. Interesting. We’re in the main tower now, I think. Going up. So listen a look at the You suggest Yeah, this is the tippy top. It’s fantastic. That is very excellent. Can you see the ocean? It’s very very very all inspiring. Very cool. Yeah, I would say this is definitely the best castle that I’ve been to in Japan. Highly recommended. highly recommended. And with that, I think we will wrap up here and I’ll be safe going down through the castle. I’ll pop it up again as we are walking out and riding the cable car down. But I might make that the next video. So if that’s the case, thank you all for the love and support and uh see you next time. Bye for now.

Good grief those views! I wouldn't want to have been the guys who had to haul those rocks up that grade and those steep steps just to drop them on the enemy's heads. I wish my wisteria grew that big.
Enjoyed this one very much.

This usually happens when the content isn’t reaching the right audience or when proper optimization and promotion are missing.
