【海の京都】SNSで大人気な伊根の舟屋はどんなとこ?天橋立や超レトロなドライブインも行ってみた Ine Village and Amanohashidate, Kyoto,Japan

B-Journey A retro ramen vending machine at a drive-in 300-yen ramen. How does it taste? A two-day trip to northern Kyoto Prefecture: On the first day, I saw Maritime Self-Defense Force ships in Maizuru, Day 2: Today, I am going to the boat houses in Ine village and Amanohashidate. I heard there’s a unique drive-in along the way, so I am stopping by for breakfast. There was the drive-in. Drive-in Daruma
822-1 Maruta, Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture There’s a bottled Coca-Cola vending machine, and vending machines for ramen and udon. It seems rare across Japan to find vending machines like these still around. The machine started up. Was that the water draining? It’s already out. It said 27 seconds, but it didn’t take 27 seconds. This is the 300-yen ramen. Time for morning ramen. Let’s eat. The noodles are not chewy. The taste is close to udon. If you think of it as udon, the taste is passable, maybe? The interior has a Showa retro feel, with a Space Invaders-style arcade game, and a jukebox commonly seen about 50 years ago. Unfortunately, it was broken. A hamburger vending machine is also apparently rare. Since the heating is insufficient, use the microwave. So you heat it in this microwave, huh. It was a nostalgic shop with full of things to comment on. The Japan Sea is visible on the right. This area is also called “Kyoto by the Sea.” I’ve come to Ine, which I often see on SNS lately. The sea is very beautiful. Ine Bay Cruise Sightseeing Boat Hinode Station
11 Hinode, Ine-chō, Yosa-gun, Kyoto Prefecture The boat ticket is 1200 yen. Seabirds come close, aiming for the snacks passengers give them. I am finally getting closer to the boat houses in Ine. About 230 boat houses line the seaside. The first floor is like a garage for boats. Next, I am going to the village. I came to a parking lot near the boat houses. Earlier I rode a large sightseeing boat, but there are also many small sightseeing boats. I thought you could only see the boat houses from a boat, but you can see them perfectly well from land 😅 Ine village seems popular with Western tourists; these people appear to be staying guests. This is what the boat houses look like from the sea side, On the other hand, the street lined with boat houses looks like this. It has a peaceful fishing village feel. There was a splendid building. A brewery called Mukai Sake Brewery. Lodging renovated from a boat house. There was also a hair salon. The sea is ahead, but it has a “do not enter” atmosphere. Most boat houses are private homes and require permission to enter. But, I heard there’s a boat house further ahead that can be toured. This area is quiet and has charm. Maybe this quietness and the sea attract inbound tourists. I found a boat house that can be toured. Boat House Kōyōmaru
555 Hirata, Ine-chō, Yosa-gun, Kyoto Prefecture The admission fee is 200 yen. Inside the building, sea spray is splashing. Many boat houses line the coast. This boat house is about 90 years old. Old fishing tools are displayed. For lunch, I go to a restaurant at the Ine-chō Tourist Information Center. Funaya Shokudō
49 Hirata, Ine-chō, Yosa-gun, Kyoto Prefecture, 2nd floor of Ine-chō Tourism Association Grilled Fish Set Meal (1800 yen) The grilled fish this day was barracuda. With glazed yellowtail , and also including sashimi. It is good value for money. When you go the Japan Sea side of Kyoto, Amanohashidate is the place you MUST visit. So, the end of the trip is to Amanohashidate. Amanohashidate Cable Car Fuchū Station
75 Ōgaki, Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture Kasamatsu Park (elevation 130m) overlooking Amanohashidate This is the famous Amanohashidate. Everyone is doing the “matanozoki” (viewing through one’s legs). I’ll also try the matanozoki. It’s indeed a superb view. Next, let’s try walking across Amanohashidate. The road to Amanohashidate has an atmosphere like a shrine approach. Motor bikes 125cc and under are allowed. Amanohashidate is 3.6km long.
It takes 20 minutes by bicycle, 50 minutes on foot to cross. This side is Miyazu Bay. The opposite shore is about 40m away. This side is Asokai Sea. I wanted to cross Amanohashidate. But I don’t have time, so I’m heading back home now. Please subscribe to my channel.
