カメラの鈴木店 横浜店

So, how’s guys? This is real Matafer based in Tokyo. So, thank you for your patience of waiting for me about a week or so because I had was sort of like sick. I had a cold in my and I had a physical voice over. Actually had this weird phenomenon experience. Actually, I’ll stick in some like video for you guys uh for your entertainment purposes. I find I’m so excited I can barely sit still hold a thought in my head. I think it’s the excitement only a free man can feel. A free man at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend shake his hand. I hope the Pacific is blue as it been in my dream. It’s been a long time since I’ve talked about a camera shop, but not in Tokyo this time, but in Yokohama region. And if you guys probably know, I reside in Tokyo area. And because most of my friends live outside of Japan or outside of Tokyo, I don’t have that much information regarding like camera shops outside of Tokyo. However, I found Kame Was Suzuki’s camera shop on my threads aka Instagram feed or reals actually came upon and I basically looked at them and I thought it would be nice to sort of like mention it on my channel because some of you guys actually go to Yokohama region and there’s a lot of location to like photograph in that region and interesting enough for people who do not know or who never been to Tokyo or and Japan actually Yokohama is actually really close to from Shibuya and if you ride the Tokyo Toyok line, it’s roughly 20 30 minute train ride from Shibuya actually. So Yokohama is actually like really close in terms of distance and distance wise and some people might go there. So I thought it would be nice to sort like mention it on my channel. So come over, it’s been a long time since I basically saw a sort of like a camera shop that has perfectly lined film stocks lined against the shelves and stuff like that. This is by far one of the largest selections I haven’t seen ever since Champ Camera video actually. Uh on the other hand, uh compared to Champ Camera, uh Kame Suzuki’s is sort of centered towards film stocks that we use every day such as the, you know, the default stocks from the Codex and Fujifilm. They have gold, uh, Ultraax, uh, Color Plus, Fujifilms, Fuji Color 100, Superior 400, Fuji 400, you name it all. And also disposable cameras from both the Canon side and the Fujifilm side. They basically have everything covered within the stop shop. And they also sell 120 films, including both color negatives and black and whites. What’s rather intriguing about the shop is they have a dedicated sort of like a vending machine for disposable cameras. So you can basically actually purchase disposable cameras from the vending commission or al or you can basically purchase it from the aisles of the shelves which is really nice in my opinion. And I have to admit uh this is sort of like a comment from my uh experience from going to various types of camera shops and film cameras shops that sell like film stocks is that this shop in particular has abundant uh stock of superior 400. And if you guys probably know, um, until recently, you can basically purchase Fuji color 100 almost everywhere in most like camera shops, they have like Fuji color 100, which is an iconic film stock in Tokyo and in Japan. You can basically, there was a shortage one time, but this film stock you can basically purchase it anywhere. However, Superior 400 on the other hand, when you go to big camera, yabush camera, any kind of chain store, it’s actually really hard to find superior 400. But this shop in particular, Kamidawas Suzuki, they actually have a lot of them in stock. So you can basically, I guess, purchase a bunch of them if you want that film stock in particular. And what’s also neat about this shop in particular is that they sell in packs of three. I’ll stick in some photos and videos for you guys, but they have uh one type for the Fujifilm stock. So they have Fuji color 100, Fuji 400, and Superior 400. bundled together as a set. They also have the Kodak counterparts. They have the Color Plus, Ultramax, and Gold, if I’m right, as a set. So, you can basically purchase them sort of like a way of for people who are starting out in film photography. This is actually a great way to like start by trying out their most standard film stocks and bundles of three. So, that’s actually really nice when I’ve actually visited them. Okay, so what’s also neat about the store is they have leather straps and wristbands and for camera enthusiasts and they also have various types of accessories such as camera batteries. If you’re running running low on them, you can basically purchase batteries and also if you’re printing small sort of like index prints or maybe some kind of two L size prints, you can basically purchase albums and also film negative uh carrier cases for pro extra protections. So they basically have you covered and it’s basically a shop oriented towards the consumers and as for that they also do processing of films within their store and this is might be the most important part for you guys but they only do color negatives post-processing uh of those negatives. So from 35 mil to only 120. So if you’re basically dropping off your like 35 mil or 120 they can basically do it within a day or so. However, for black and whites, they basically don’t have the facility, the machinery to do it. So, they basically have to ship it out to a facility outside, which will take roughly about a week or so. So, that’s actually one area to be careful on. So, if you’re basically processing 35 mil or 120, you won’t have any troubles doing it here. Similar to champ camera actually, which they do the fastest. Uh, and yeah, anything above that, uh, they have it will take longer. So, keep that in mind. And like I said, this shop in particular is oriented towards the consumers. So they have are sort of like on that field. And also for some people they want a digital version of their film negative. So they also have various types of services regarding on that such as sending it towards you I guess by sending you a URL or something like that. When you click on it, you can basically download the film negative scans that they do. And speaking of scanning, they don’t do super high res. They do medium rate as in terms of megapixels. So that’s actually one area to point out of their services. So yeah, that’s basically it on my f really super fast and brief coverage of uh Kame Wasuzuki. If you’re ever in this Yokohama aka Kanagawa region, those two I guess camera shops are a must if you’re into like shooting with a film camera, Kamo Suzuki and also Champ Camera. So yeah. And all and last but not least, uh, Kamar Suzuki is by far easier to access than Chime camera because Champ cameras located on the sort of like the remote side of the Kanagawa Kanagawa Prefecture. So if you’re just in Yokohama region specifically, this is a must location. And yeah, it was a pleasure to talk with the owner there uh just talking about film cameras and also film stocks. And it’s been a while since I’ve seen this much of stocks being available all at once. So yeah, it’s a must go location if you’re ever traveling in Japan. So yeah, that’s it on my coverage of Kamasuzuki. Hope you guys if you’re ever visiting Japan, this is a must location. I highly suggest visiting them. And yeah, that’s it. We will see you next time. Peace out.

I couldnt shoot inside the mall since in Japan the owner typically doesnt give authority however I stuck in a Map for you guys of Yokohama stn the shop itself is located past Joinus Mall on the 1st Floor so if you get off Yokohama Stn (JR/Tokyu Toyoko). Head towards South West Exit (Minami Nishi Guchi Exit)Walk towards through Joinus Mall towards Sotestsu Line and it should appear on the left side.

That Stint of Morgan Freeman I could of done better but did not have the power to do so in that state.

If your around in Yokohama area which is a nice area to photograph ( I rarely go around this area) it might be great to drop your color negatives/ get it processed within a couple of hours and then good to go or maybe refuel on film stocks.

Glad the owner gave me permission to photograph/shoot video inside the store highly recommend visiting them

  1. This is insane! I wish my local store had that much film. They usually have a couple of random b&w rolls and a few Fuji 200… anything else, they can provide but has to be ordered and it takes days to arrive. Still, no Superia 400, that is completely impossible to get. Great video!

  2. This shop looks really good. I will visit them when I'm back in Japan in a couple weeks. Do they sell the Fuji superia premium 400 only in these bundles or can I buy single rolls?
    Thank you for the video.
