【沖縄観光】沖縄編6 海ぶどう摘みが楽しい。家族連れに最適な観光スポット3選![沖縄旅行5日間/5日目]
Hello! “Travel is self-improvement.” This is Komachi style. This time, I’m on a 5-day, 4-night trip to Okinawa. Yay! Let’s start the Okinawa trip. It was a long time ago. I exchanged business cards with someone, and their company address was in Yoyogi-Uehara. I said, “Oh, Yoyogi-Uehara? That’s a nice place.” They assumed I was a country girl. They asked me, “Do you know UEHRA?” I do. What an idiot. Also, this person’s behavior was really creepy. They asked me to follow them on social media, and I declined, saying, “I’m not connected to Wi-Fi right now.” They said, “You can log in with my IP address,” and started setting up Wi-Fi on my phone without my permission, and then started following me. Everyone, be careful. I don’t say “UEHARA.” I generally have very low affinity with people who abbreviate Yoyogi-Uehara to “UEHARA.” [Now, let’s get to the main story] I checked out of Ryukyu Hotel & Resort NASHIRO Beach. After driving about 10 minutes to my next destination, I realized I’d lost my smartphone. I inquired with the hotel and was told it was stored at Club Browns. I rushed back to the hotel and safely retrieved it. Um…my voice is a little shaky. [LINE] I’m in shock from my phone. I’m very shaken, but I pull myself together and set off again. A Ryukyu-style building came into view. We visited Okinawa World. Okinawa World is a tourist spot where you can experience Okinawan culture and nature all at once. [LINE] Most visitors are inbound tourists. [Tweet] Tickets can be purchased at this Ryukyu-style gate, but they can also be purchased online. The main attraction is Gyokusendo, one of Japan’s largest limestone caves. Other attractions include the Ryukyu Kingdom Castle Town and the Habu Museum Park. [LINE] This is a very interesting facility. [Tweet] The entrance has a scary atmosphere. The once-popular “Habu vs. Mongoose Show” is now being held in a modified format. I’m currently at a limestone cave in Okinawa. Well, today I was shocked by the trouble I had on my way here. Oh well, let’s move on. [Tweet] Poor thing. [LINE] Still lingering. I thought it might be cold inside the cave, but it’s not. The atmosphere is similar to Disneyland. Gyokusendo Cave is approximately 5,000 meters long, of which approximately 890 meters is open to the public. It is one of the largest limestone caves in Japan. There are over 1 million stalactites inside. [Tweet] A natural wonder. It recreates the atmosphere of a wisteria trellis. It’s kind of scary. It’s a waterfall. The water is incredibly clear and crystal clear. The illuminated space creates a mystical atmosphere. It’s so beautiful and amazing. Well, I guess it’s all thanks to the lighting. It really does look blue. [Tweet] Everyone was tired. Amazing. At the end, you can take the escalator up. It’s the same depth as the Toei Oedo Line. It’s three stories underground. [Tweet] There’s a conveniently placed shop. Blue Seal mango and vanilla soft serve ice cream. We were forced to walk 900 meters through the humid cavern without being allowed to leave. So everyone spends their money at this shop. I think Okinawa World is an excellent business model. Everyone is buying things at a rapid pace. [LINE] Unprecedented sales. [Tweet] I’ve been watching and they’ve been selling for ages. Everyone is sipping their drinks at a rapid pace. [Tweet] Dehydration. Heatstroke. Drinks are selling like hotcakes. [LINE] This is the only place that’s booming. [Tweet] Yes. It’s a castle town. Registered tangible cultural property. There are a variety of experiences. [Tweet] It’s all hands-on. Nice to see you! Wow, it’s amazing. There’s a drum. Look. There are so many different kinds of Okinawan talismans. Okinawa has a huge number of talismans. It seems like they’re all about warding off evil spirits. This venue used to host a show featuring vipers fighting mongooses. It was a very popular tourist attraction. However, it was discontinued due to animal welfare and safety concerns. The show is now performed with a gentler approach. This show was a disappointment. [Tweet] They’re not there. They’re there, [LINE] right? [Tweet] It was kind of painful to watch. “The show was supposed to involve popping balloons with the viper’s venomous fangs…” [Tweet] The vipers just weren’t motivated. Vipers are stupid. What a messy show. [Tweet] Well, I bet they hate doing this multiple times a day. Maybe they’re too full to move. [LINE] Komachi is curious about the vipers’ diet. The next show was a “Swimming Competition Between a Cobra and a Mongoose,” but… they weren’t swimming. They were walking. [LINE] There were so many things to poke fun at. The mongoose walking slowly got the biggest laugh. It was a truly bizarre theme park. Now, let’s move on to the next spot. We arrived at a sea grape farm. And what’s more, it was a beautiful sunny day. This weather on our last day… I feel so bad. Why? Why is it a beautiful sunny day today? Why! Why! [Warning] From a sunny day Komachi is furious that her Okinawa soba lunch was canceled due to time constraints. [Tweet] (lol) I’m hungry. [Tweet] We’ve come to a pretty rare spot. “Uminchi Sea Grape Farm” is a popular spot where you can pick sea grapes, a specialty of Okinawa, by reservation only. [Tweet] It was 3,300 yen per person. Sea grapes… I came to pick them… [Warning] Hungry after skipping lunch and anxious about whether the experience would be enjoyable made him even more grumpy. [Warning] He also became extremely shy before the event even began, having been told he’d be working with another group. [Tweet] He’s so grumpy and embarrassed. The grounds are huge. I thought they were picked from the ocean like wakame seaweed. [Staff] I’ll give you a quick explanation of the process. [Staff] After this, you’ll spend about 30 minutes in the greenhouse learning about the sea grape growing process and picking them yourself. 30 minutes (lol). [Staff] After that, you’ll get to sample some sea grapes and have soft serve ice cream for dessert. [Staff] The tasting area is on the second floor. [Staff] Sea grapes are grown in places like this. Are they farmed? [Staff] Yes, they are farmed. [LINE] Bad language. [Tweet] Really rude. Sorry. [Staff] These are sea grapes right after they’ve been picked. Oh yeah. [Tweet] Sorry for my bad language. They feel the same as when you wash them at home. [Staff] How does it feel? Yes. It feels popping. [Staff] It does feel popping. [Tweet] The staff were very thorough in their guidance. Wow. [Staff] These are sea grapes that were planted 10 days ago. [Staff] Next, I’ll show you how they grow in stages. [Staff] You can see how much they’re growing. They’re multiplying. [Staff] After 20 days, they’ve grown longer than before. [One month before harvest] They’ve grown so lush. [Staff] They’ve grown quite a bit. Okay. [Staff] Now, let me demonstrate how to pick them. [Staff] If you slide them toward you, they come out easily, popping pop. Ah. I see. [Staff] I’ll try that. [Staff] Pull them toward you. Like this. Wow. [Staff] You can pick even these small ones. Yeah. Oh. They came out. I got so many. [Tweet] You don’t need to pick that many. I got so many. [LINE] Three servings at once. It’s like plucking hair for people with thinning hair. [LINE] Have you ever done that? [Staff] The round colander contains a product called “Puchi-Puchi.” [Staff] The square colander contains a product called “Shaki-Shaki.” [Staff] We sort them by whether they have a lot of grains or stems. [Tweet] Wow, this staff member was great at explaining things. [Staff] Sea grapes are soft, so we can’t use machines, so everything is done by hand. Wow. [LINE] It’s an educational experience. [Now, the main event: scooping sea grapes] [Staff] You’ll later pack up the ones you scoop and take home. Yay. [Staff] However, if this scoop breaks, it’s game over. [Staff] Please try not to break them. It looks like it will break in an instant. [Staff] The key is not to use too much force. Yes. [Staff] If you get too greedy and use too much force, it will break. Yes. [Tweet] They’re responding properly. [Staff] We’ll go in two minutes. [Staff]Ready, set, go. [Tweet] They liven things up and make it fun. [Staff] There are some spots where it’s easier to pick them, so figure them out. [LINE] They’re also good at other things. [This is so much fun] [Tweet] I’m having so much fun. Oh, it broke. It’s over. [Tweet] I actually managed five tries. If I try too hard, the weight will tear them. But the positioning is also important. [LINE] It was a fun event. [Tweet] You got quite a lot, didn’t you? Loosen them up and then drain the water. [Tweet] Spin them around to drain the water. Are they okay? Yes. They’re just like when I bought them. During the experience, you can learn how to grow and care for them. You can also learn about the entire process from harvesting to sorting and packaging, from the moment the sea grapes are sold to the moment they’re ready for sale. It’s a great spot for families. [Staff] Sea grapes can last up to a week at room temperature. Amazing. We headed to the dining area on the second floor to sample some sea grapes. [Tweet] It was a stylish building. It was fun. It was a great experience. [Tweet] You look better now. These are the sea grapes I picked. It’s time to sample some sea grapes. Yes. They’re so delicious. They’re delicious with just the right amount of salt. I’ll try them with some on occasion. [Tweet] Dip it in ponzu sauce. It’s slightly sweet. Yes. Delicious. At the end of the tour, we’re treated to a soft-serve ice cream filled with fresh sea grapes. The experience is over. [Tweet] They’ll serve you a soft-serve ice cream if you ask. They also have a wide selection of merchandise for sale. [Tweet] Look at this. The soft-serve ice cream has tiny sea grape crunches inside. I’ll eat the part with lots of sea grapes inside. It tastes just like salted soft-serve ice cream. [Tweet] It’s a little salty. The texture and saltiness add a nice accent. [Tweet] It was delicious. It was a very satisfying tour. It’s a hidden gem and highly recommended. [LINE] Your face looks grumpy. Our trip concludes with a tour of Kokusai Street, the center of Naha. Kokusai Street is the main street, stretching approximately 1.6 km. A symbol of postwar reconstruction, it’s a bustling tourist spot also known as the “Miracle Mile.” The Daiichi Makishi Public Market, located near Kokusai Street, is known as “Naha’s Kitchen.” It was past 5:00 PM, so many shops were closed. Renovated in 2022, the current building is new and clean. It’s incredibly lively, yet retains a traditional atmosphere. [LINE] Sea urchin is cheap. Aomi, the sushi restaurant at the Halekulani, also serves plenty of sea urchin. Their biggest feature is the service where you can bring fish or meat purchased on the first floor to the restaurant on the second floor and have it cooked for you. [LINE] I didn’t have time this time, so I gave up. I decided to have “Po-Tama” before heading home. They have it here, too. [LINE] I’m not going to “Fukusuke” this time. This restaurant is also popular. Here I am. This is another popular restaurant, “Po-Tama. ” Let’s compare it to “Fukusuke. ” “Po-Tama” also has a location in Tokyo. [LINE] I’m in a bad mood. This is the “Po-Tama” restaurant. They have a location at the airport, but I’ll try the one on Kokusai Street. [Tweet] I’m hungry. It looks… eh? Completely different. Look. [Tweet] Slim. [LINE] A stylish design that prioritizes ease of eating. [Tweet] He looks kind of haggard. Poor thing. This is normal. Both taste good. The tamagoyaki is delicious. That concludes my 5-day, 4-night trip to Okinawa. [Tweet] I arrived at Haneda Airport exhausted. [Tweet] A digest. [Tweet] The trip started at the Halekulani Okinawa. The Halekulani is famous for… coconut cake. [Tweet] I had sushi at “AOMI.” The footing was rough. [Tweet] It’s a heart rock. [Tweet] The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa. [Tweet] I went to my favorite Ritz-Carlton. [Tweet] Look. They decorated my room with cute things. [Tweet] I went to yakiniku dinner. [Tweet] Breakfast at the Ritz-Carlton. [Tweet] So luxurious. Delicious. The Ritz-Carlton for food. [Tweet] Then we headed to Itoman. [Tweet] Ryukyu Hotel & Resort NASHIRO Beach. [Tweet] It’s run by the same company as THE TSUBAKI TOWER GUAM. Wow. [Tweet] The room was incredibly spacious and new. It was spacious and had a great view. [Tweet] Then we went to the Italian restaurant MILANO. Wow, that’s amazing. Luxurious. [Tweet] We went to Senaga Island. We rang it. Amazing. The smell of butter was amazing. [Tweet] This is Itoman GYOMIN Shokudo. [Tweet] This is the VIP pool. This is similar to TSUBAKI TOWER. [Tweet] We had it all to ourselves. [Tweet] A beautiful fountain show. [Tweet] There was a garden next to the sea grape farm. [Tweet] I saw this cute swing, so I tried it out. It was so scary. [Tweet] That’s all. Thank you.
