[Music] I met up with me. It’s so cute. [Music] It’s hot. I mean, there was a similar start last year, right? Yes, there was. It’s hot. Hello. This is Morino, the first Chappers store. Hello. I’m going to deliver this from outside today, but it’s not going to be too far today. Right. It’s a new style today. Yeah. Yeah. So, I bought two iced teas, so I’m going to take these and go hang out somewhere. Yes. Let’s go. Let’s go. It’s hot. Apparently, women’s constitutions change in multiples of 7, and men’s in multiples of 8. I’m 35, so I thought that was the number. But, you know, my hobby is reading, and I read on my days off, so I don’t exercise. Us. Yes. Same here. Right. Huh? Huh? What happened? I’m starting kickboxing. I’ve decided where I’m going. I’m just going to this kickboxing place. I feel like I’ve already been going there. But the first step is heavy. That’s right. Right. I want to do kickboxing. Oh, it came into view while I was working in the warehouse. Wow. Today, I ‘m going to be bringing you a video from the Japan office of Little Box, Paris’s first subscription service that delivers thrilling experiences to girls once a month. Yeah. This is my hometown. That’s right. That’s right. I think I worked there from 2017 to 2018. So about seven years ago. Yeah. I really want to think about it. Today, I’m doing Chapters, which delivers books every month, delivering only interesting books. The idea for that really came from here, and Little Box is an essential part of my life, so I thought everyone would like it too. Today’s project is, I sometimes sell limited edition boxes on YouTube, and people are really happy when I do, so I made a selection box today as well. Okay. So, I’m releasing it in collaboration with Box, and first of all, the box is super cute. [Applause] No, just show me already. Right, right. Also, Nami and I have included some books that we read together this summer and decided on, so I’d like to introduce those as well. [Music] This time, we’re bringing you a report from the Mari Little Box Japan office. Thank you. I’m so happy to be back, and even with the camera set up, the movies are so cute. It’s amazing to work here. It’s so luxurious. I wonder what I’ve been doing. But surprisingly, I feel like I’ve been busy working. Yeah. It just made me realize how wonderful it is, and the Chapters War Book Box, which goes on sale today, is available exclusively on YouTube. It’s popular. Thankfully, it sells well every time, but I prepare fewer than I expected, so people say, “Oh, sorry, I’m a sales girl bar,” so I’m gradually increasing the number. But if you want it, you’d better hurry up and buy it. So, Mari Little Box and Chapters Car Wash Collaboration Box have prepared a box that is in line with the Mari Little Box concept . [Music] Right? It’s cute, isn’t it? It’s cute. I asked what August is this month, and they gave me a special sneak peek. They also have this month. It’s amazing, isn’t it? A change of pace. I think they said the theme for August and September is Belle Poc. Yeah. Yeah. It’s got a really cool feel, these colors, it’s amazing. It’s supposed to arrive soon. That’s nice. So, we’re heading over here. Which way should we start? Which way should we start? This is the In Bed with box, and this is into the. Eh, but remember, last time we started with something exciting and created a bit of a mood , so let’s start with something more subdued. Yes. This In Bed with box is going for excitement. I was given various designs for my letterbox and was thinking about what to put inside, and this one is simply about sleeping in bed with a book, so I made it so it makes you feel happy before you go to sleep, and this one is into the zouts. Since it’s already autumn, I decided to include something a little more immersive, like going into the forest and into a story . That’s the into the zouts box. Okay. Let’s go. Okay, so, this is amazing, it smells a little nice. I’ll introduce it later. Okay, so three books. This time, that’s it. One single-issue book and one paperback . And one recommended book from a past Chapters player. I’m photographing them with a white cover this time, but I’m sorry I couldn’t get it together in time. The rest will be delivered in their usual cute book covers. Okay, so this time, both single-issue books were supervised by Mi-chan. She’s good at it. This little frills type is a bit hard to find, so I hope you’ll discover it in Chapters. I love paperbacks, so I chose this one. I’ve been introducing too many lately. I introduced the whole thing last time too. Okay. I included Yuka Murayama’s Hakanaru Mizu no Oto. But, you know, that’s not the only one you’ve listened to and read. I know it. I know it. I know it. You can tell it was pretty good. This is my third video this year . Some of you who watch on YouTube might have already bought it. Sorry if you bought it because you thought I was pushing it too hard. But the reason I’m introducing this is because, in this “Into the Outs” video, I was able to slowly and sensibly watch this immersive reading experience, which I really appreciated. And then there’s the “Pon” part, which is about a road trip to scatter the three bones of a deceased brother. The brother and his sister go to scatter his ashes, and the sister herself lives in Paris. Oh, that’s right. So when I decided to make this “Mari Little Box,” I wanted to incorporate some kind of Parisian essence, and I had no choice but to bring it here. I’m such a bad planner. If I knew I was going to include it here, I wouldn’t have had to play it safe and introduce it last time. [Music] Ah, let’s call it a book that was so good I couldn’t resist. You know, don’t you all find your favorite books stacked or lined up on your bookshelf and then catch your eye? Yeah. It does. Right? It’s like they’re calling you. Right. I’ve been hearing a lot of water lately. Yes. Oh, I see. Is “Sankotsu” a pretty dark story? Oh, it is. It’s about a girl who goes to wrap up her bones, and the girl’s older sister, who lost a loved one, and the guy is gay. And then there’s the gay lover. And then there’s the childhood sweetheart couple who come all the way from Tokyo to Moroko, and the four of them go on a road trip together, with the only thing they have in common: a slightly strange younger brother. What made it so easy to read is that it’s told from the perspective of all four characters, so it’s really short. It’s easy to read, and easy to cut, so you can just linger and read it . [Music] It’s the most satisfying time, isn’t it? Right, right. So, well, it’s immersive, but you can take your time, and it’s nice to read it. It’s a touching story, but the story is cute. Oh, oh, I’d like to travel by train and feel the rattle of the city from here to here. The city’s scenery is so colorful, and the bustling, noisy scenes are so detailed that it’s not a problem to skip over them in a good way; it’s a smooth read . I just got carried away and read on. It’s great. I think this is a really good book. So you don’t see it often at first-time stores, do you? I’ve never seen it. I wanted to introduce this book in Chapters, but I’ve already introduced it. I’ll be bringing it to you with “The Fleeting Sound of Water.” I hope you haven’t bought it yet. And the other book is one of Chapters’ past novels, a novel with an into-the-world experience, and you’ve read it, right? It’s a one-stop read. No, this one is a complete departure from the other one, a one-stop read. I think the latter one is quite immersive, but this one is the kind of book that you just devour. Yeah. It’s only 213 pages, so it’s really short. I read it as a standalone book, and it only took me about an hour or two to finish it. I also read it as a simple mineral book and a literary book. It’s interesting even when read as a cultural book. It’s interesting, so I tried to make the slight gap here important, so isn’t it a happy reading experience like, “Don’t talk to me now?” It’s like, “Here it is, and here it is, and then you read it slowly.” This is a reading experience, and if I say too much about it, it will become a spoiler, so it’s very difficult, but the genre is more like a mystery. Yeah, that’s right. If I had to choose, I’d say the sense of poisonous language is more like an internal, gut-wrenching feeling than a happy one. I just really liked this sense of poisonous language , I get it. It’s not like it feels refreshing or anything, but it’s like an addictive, monologue-like feeling. Yeah. Yeah. You know, this author is really popular right now, and you definitely won’t regret discovering this, so I chose it as a chance to get interested in it. Yeah. Yes. Yes. And here’s another book. You found it well. Heibonsha Ko Demariru Lee. A forest falls from the sky. A forest from the sky. Amazing is also perfect. Reading in the forest. Right. Well, when we decided to look for something with the theme of getting lost in a forest of books, this was quite an immersive type, so while I thought it would be interesting to look for something similar in sword novels, I thought it would be nice to have a book that is firmly in the middle of the forest, and so I searched and found this, and it was a cute, unusual, and extremely good book. Yes, well, the more I read it, the better it got, and I reread it the other day morning, and it was just as good. The poet and novelist Kosan lives in a tiny town called Moristock, New York State, and this essay chronicles his daily life there. It’s published by Heibonsha, a fairly established publisher originally known for dictionaries and department stores, specializing in philosophy, academic books, and so on. Reading this, too, feels warm and fuzzy, and the earthly atmosphere of the essay really sinks in. It’s so good, and I’ve attached this attachment, but one thing I really liked was, even though I’m not sure I’d think, “Oh, the scent of Jupiter, it’s autumn,” it’s not. Komari-san said, “Oh, it smelled like weeds.” They sense the seasons with the smell of weeds, like spring, and live a wild yet beautiful life. But living in the forest, while beautiful, also comes with its own challenges. When heavy snow falls, the power goes out and they can’t use any electricity in the house. Apparently, it snows so much, it’s worse than Hokkaido. When there’s a power outage, my husband and I live alone, and we have to talk in front of the band. At times like that, they start a secret-revealing contest, and there are some fun anecdotes. It also talks about the difficulties of surviving in the forest, and it covers both the challenges of human survival and the challenges of plant life. I brought this book with me, thinking it would be a great way to spend some time reading surrounded by the forest. Oh, can I say it? I really want to read it. Oh, that’s good. First of all, this is good. Nana-chan mentioned that earlier . In our house, when the power goes out, the water supply also stops. The device that pumps water from the underground well is electric, so naturally the heating goes off too. You can’t read with the light of the Roso. As the story progresses, it gets colder and colder in the house, and you’re wrapped in layers of futons and clinging to your yutanpo, wondering what to do. All you can do is talk to the couple. Isn’t that wonderful? It’s cute. The only people who appear are the husband and his wife, but it’s not a pseudo-husband-wife love story or anything, it’s written in the style of a life with a good partner, which makes it really easy to read. Really? No, I’m surprised you found it. I’ve never even seen it in a bookstore. I believed it because she said she’d decided on it too. I trust it completely. It makes no sense. Kodemarirui is famous, isn’t she? I think Kodemarirui has published novels and real works, but apparently she’s also worked on the original story for picture books. For some reason, she seems a little strange, or rather her thinking is quite fairy tale-like. Like, “Good day to the plants.” Like, “Oh, hello, Shimari-san.” I see. I like how it’s written in that style. There are quotes from other works written in it, but one of them is by Hoshio Omichio, and I think people who like that will definitely love this one too. Yeah. This is perfect. Yes, in the middle of the forest. Yes. So, I’ll be introducing the goods that will be delivered this time along with these three books. Yes . That’s right. Yes. I’ll be introducing some really cute goods from the Malitol Box . Yes. This is a pen and notebook, but what should I do? Can I get closer? Camera. Ah, I think this was probably the one from when this pattern was done. I think it was from the box theme. It’s just a notebook. But generally speaking, what I thought was really cute about the Malitol Box was that it had a theme on the front that said, “Why not hone your individuality with this notebook?” It was packed with all the good things about Malitol, so I decided to include it. [Music] I write about places I want to go, books I want to read, things I want to make, things like “dowhat” (your love), and so on. Also, I write about things like “I’ll be traveling around the world in June,” and so on. Maybe the dream has already begun the moment I start writing. I haven’t written “2024” or “2025,” so I thought I could deliver that, so I added a few. And then there’s the pro-cons list, and things like this: valuing words and expressions is the essence of Parisian culture; French people are really good at conversation . Yeah. That’s something I learned from My Little Box, so I’m incorporating that essence. And here, yes. I put a pen in here. This pen is really easy to draw with. You said so. Yeah. It’s not a regular click-type ballpoint pen, but a ballpoint pen with two tips, so you take careful notes, right? It doesn’t really feel like you’re facing yourself. I’ve included this in both boxes, hoping it’ll give everyone some time to reflect on themselves . Yes. And that’s not all. The Mile Tro Box also includes cosmetics every month, as part of a collaboration. This time, it’s Chapters, and since we’re working with Geodesis, a French brand, in August, it’s a wonderful fragrance. It contains all three types of fragrance, and it smells amazing. It really does smell amazing from the moment you open it, so I hope everyone enjoys it. I’m also a big fan of Geodesis Figli , and I ‘ll probably buy it again. The great thing about Geodesis is that it’s based on the essence of the couple’s travel experiences. The story is wonderful, but each book is a little thick. I think the fragrance is quite strong because it’s thick. I think that’s part of the reason, and I hope you’ll feel that. Well, I didn’t have any at home, so I tried propping it up with clips, or safety items, or whatever, and I thought it might be fun to use stationery to prop it up. Yes. So, these are Fig Tree, Bergamo, Bergamo, and Melori. Yes. There are three, so I hope you’ll find your favorite scent and buy it at Geodigi. I’ll also include an actual advertisement. But, I really want to deliver a nice scent, so if I’m doing it with the Maritoro Box, I hope you’ll look forward to opening it. Yes. Okay, let’s go back to the next one. Yes. This one is. I’ll go with the Octopus-Style Max Bed with Zu Books Box. This is definitely a box that book lovers want. It just clicked. I decided right away. I wanted this. So, I keep important things in the Maritoro Box box. Oh, I personally like to use it for things that fall apart around the house, and the mochi is really good for that. Yeah. If you feel like you can’t find something, it’s because it’s not MariTra. I’d like you to use it for that too. Yes. Also, there was a MileTra office earlier, and if you hook it up and do it like this, it becomes art at home. Ah, that’s certainly nice . So, here it is. I put in books that make me feel happy. Two paperbacks and this one is also simple. So, from my paperback collection, here it is, but it might be a little tricky. It’s about, ” You can’t find your heart on a night when you can find everything.” This is, well, is it an essay? Reading therapy. It’s a book about self-love and self-understanding, written by a clinical psychologist, about how to face your heart. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. [Music] And this will be released on the 29th of July, really just before the deadline. It’s just before the deadline. It’s a brand new paperback and I knew that a book was coming out, so I bought it as a simple book and read it to see what it would be like, but it was so good, wow. It was so good that I wanted to put it in Chapters’ War Books too. But since I discovered them in the order I did, I thought I’d put them in a box first. What’s great about this is that it directly illustrates complex emotions. People who say it was bad tend to divide them into two categories, but by drawing a supporting line around those emotions, you can better understand them. So instead of saying, “I’m crying, so I must be sad,” you should be able to understand that there may be many different emotions within them, and draw that supporting line when giving advice to others or interacting with others. It’s so wonderful, isn’t it? It’s like this. Then, he compares it to regret at night, saying, “You set sail, sailing alone across the vast plains.” Then, since you can see this, let’s stop by for a bit. It’s lonely being alone. At times like that, you feel like this, right? He talks about mental health care with the same enthusiasm as setting sail at night, so even though it feels like reading a novel, it feels like an adventure. Oh, it’s an essay. Wow. Really, the cover is probably a perfect fit. So, as I read, I imagined myself setting sail under a sky that was even more amazingly perfect than the early morning sky. Yeah. If you ask me if it made me feel happy, I’d say no, as this person already said . As I read, I encountered my own shortcomings, wounds, sorrows, and relationships I wanted to improve, but by learning about the emotions that helped me face them, I became someone who could draw the right path, so I think it gave me a positive feeling of, “Wow, that was good to read.” So, I really want everyone to read this, and I highly recommend it, with the hope that you’ll leave a little time to savor it in bed at night. I chose it. It’s wonderful. Yes. Yes. So, I chose this from the past Chapters players, but this one has a really cliched feel. This was the first one I decided on. The cover and the picture on the box match perfectly. Yeah, that’s true. I think it’s perfect. And the main character is, well, human, but, well, a cat. Yeah. It’s a series of short stories about the little love affairs and life changes that occur in the lives of the residents of this town full of cats. It’s really fun, but it seems like there’s a lot of cat stuff going on. Even though there are so many stories out there, this one is so good I included chapters because the cats don’t talk. Oh, right. That’s it. The cats talk. Also, when the world seems a little too fantastical, I tend to be a little like, “Oh, it’s okay,” but the cats don’t talk. Because it’s immersed in reality, it’s very easy to read, and I felt so happy about my time in this town as I read, so I hope it’s set in the girls’ homes. I think it’s easy to read because it’s a Tonhaya short story. Yeah. That’s right. And, this was a highly recommended work by Natsuichi, the collector of last year’s collection. If I go that far it might become a bit of a joke, but this is a work published by a publishing company, and I tend to think that if the cover is flat like this in a bookstore it might be a little light, but I really enjoyed reading it all the way to the end, so I’m looking forward to it making people feel a little happy and looking at themselves. I’m already in bed, yes. When I was reading this, I thought I wanted to read it while eating a Chopped Pie. It felt like summer vacation. It ‘s already September, after all. Well, make me some tea. Yes. That’s good. Yes. Please read it. Yes. And finally, this one. You’ve found a lot to like here too. The second edition. I can’t read the publisher’s name. This is amazing. Like that. This is the unit price. Yes. Nami, please tell me what you recommend about this one. Ah, this publisher, yes. It’s a publisher in Fukuoka, and this one is like that, but apparently the New A Unit Price Series started around 2013, and they seem to be quite knowledgeable about unit prices, as they’ve become convinced of the nature of unit price meetings and unit price publishing. So, when I was looking for books for this box, I was really looking for something with a sense of otherness . This one doesn’t quite have that. Sorry. Please tell me if it has a sense of otherness. Yeah, I was reading something for a while, and I was starting to wonder, “What is this sense of otherness again?”, and then I remembered. The sense of otherness I get when I’m a reader is one of those things I like reading about unit prices and embroidery in Red, so I thought, “Oh, I’ll check out unit price embroidery,” and I looked for it and found this. Yeah. It’s a book that cuts down everyday life into short sentences, and it really warms my heart when I read it. Of course, there’s a fair amount of humor, and even a touch of dark humor, which makes for some chuckles. The good thing about novels and essays is that sometimes I just read the words quickly and then read them slowly. Sometimes I just want to read a little at a time, so I think they’re perfect for reading before bed. There are parts of this that I like to read aloud, so I’d recommend them. One thing I thought was a little novel: the “crackling traffic cones” that tell you the town’s calm spots. It’s interesting how “crack” seems to use a lot of basic words. I also thought it was a little dark. The perspective of “Sayaka’s life was taken for her happiness, but Claw seems to be saying, “Sorry, but I’ll live here.” It’s really fun, so I brought it to Indead Bed withb this time. It’s good. I was hoping for a price quote, too, and Nanami-chan is good at little press and magazines, so I’m surprised she found it. This is originally a book by Terai Naomi, but I came across it in a different book and decided to read a little more. I thought the quality of the price quote was really good. I’m not an expert, but as I read, images started to pop into my head and it was fun, so I decided to go with this one. I’ve only included a “tanka” once in the chapters, and because it doesn’t have many words, it’s hard to choose . I’m always looking for something more upbeat after reading it, so this is the kind of thing I’ve come across in a while. I read it too, and I guess it’s just like, “Price quote” or “Death quote” and sometimes I feel like I have to make some cool comments, right? Well, instead of that, I want people to just sit back and enjoy the things they like, and read them slowly. That’s true. You can start anywhere. You can end anywhere, so it might be perfect for a bedroom discussion in bed. Yes. Which one do you prefer? Want to go home or want to feel warm and cozy? Yeah. These aren’t always quiet, but most of them are the kind you can read in one sitting. But this one really caught my eye. Amazing. Forests are falling from the sky. I’m going to take this home with me later . Leaf is falling from the sky. I’m seriously intrigued. Well, as expected, this is the place to find anything. I really want to read this. Also, this Chapters War Book is perfect, so I hope you enjoy cards like that, like, taking a stroll through your mind. It always seems like one of them is the most popular. But you never know. We’re looking forward to seeing which one will be the most popular this time too. Yes. So, um, you can buy this from the description section at the bottom of YouTube, so please take a look if you’re interested. I often hear people agonize over whether to buy it tomorrow and then find that it’s not available, so I’m sorry to say this, but I recommend you get it as soon as possible. Yes. Both boxes contain three types of Odigis notebooks and a Mildro Box notebook and pen, and there is also a version without the goods, so if you want to buy two boxes, I recommend buying one without the goods. Yes. So I would like you all to choose what you like. Which would you buy if you were Rame-chan? Eh, but I’d choose this one. Oh, really? Maybe this one? I’m really curious about this. That’s good. I guess we’re all curious about the books we’ve each progressed in, so we might all be having a hard time deciding, but I think it’s perfect for the coming season. Yeah. I’ve really been feeling lately that Mildro Box’s battles are getting better and better. Thank you. So let’s all keep writing in the autumn too. Yes. And that brings you today from the Mildro Box office. Look forward to the box. Until next time. Bye-bye. Excuse me. My stomach is really making noises. Eh, I’m hungry too Which one would you buy if you were a slant-chan? Eh, but I’m sure, oh, that, oh, I’m not the only one. Oh, good. The bass is amazing. [Music]
