¿Por qué NADIE HABLA de ellas?🤯 Conocimos 2 ciudades INCREÍBLES de España
We’re already settled in the RV park in Salamanca. The sun soaks you to the bone. We’re starting the morning, we’ve moved. We’re in another city. This is the Burgos RV park. A perfect place to sleep peacefully, be calm, safe, and so on. We’re taking advantage of the very cloudy weather; the weather is very pleasant. I’m already wearing long pants, but since these places are on the outskirts of cities and they always do, we have the B vehicles to continue this adventure, to get to know the city center a little bit. We’ll be going right now on bikes, if Ettore deigns to go up there alone, to stay at the house. Salamanca. Burgos. Today we’re going to take you on a whirlwind tour of two Spanish cities that left us wanting more. You’re going to help us decide which of the two is the most surprising, the most spectacular, the winner of this confrontation: Burgos or Salamanca. Which will you choose? Leave us your opinion in the comments. Our first objective is right in front of us, and nothing more and nothing less than a Roman bridge dating back to the 1st century. This is very, very old, and we’re going to walk over it now. There it is. Wow. This bridge is part of the ancient Silver Route. All the silver of the Roman Empire passed through here. That’s what it was built for, and it crosses the Tormes River to take you to the historic center of Salamanca. The view of the city is spectacular. Just think, until very recently, this was the only road you could take from the south to reach Salamanca. I mean, this was the first image you had of this clearly mega-ancient and prosperous city. But even though we’re crossing the Roman bridge, the Romans weren’t the first to inhabit the city here, because Salamanca, the city, is occupied. People lived here more than 3,000 years ago. And here we have one of the vestiges of the communities that lived before the Romans. What you see here is a statue that’s not noticeable now, but it was a wild boar commemorating the indigenous resistance to Romanization. It’s the Betón boar. We changed cities, we changed places to explore. We found ourselves in the city of Burgos. They told us it’s a beautiful city, you have to see the center, and it also has a very special place I want to see, a museum. So we’re going to take a walk, we’re going to see what it’s all about. We already had a wonderful impression of being able to walk next to the river, which is like the main place that cuts through the city with greenery and kind of unites you, right? It’s like we’re heading toward the center and we’re walking along a whole green corridor. That adds a lot. I love our means of getting around cities. There’s the van, the safe house. We know that Tore is quiet, and we can save time by enjoying the bike paths, which have been pleasantly surprising us throughout our journey because you move around calmly, cars respect you, let you pass without any problems, and the places the bike paths are taking are beautiful. We’re leaving the Vena River. We’re now approaching the center. Much busier, very pedestrian, very respectful, and many amazing places. What is this river? The clarity of the water, huh? That surprises me, doesn’t it? How clean it is. Well, right now there’s a bottle hanging, exploding, but it’s true, but we’re right in the center of the city, there’s not much noise, traffic is very low, the castles are 100 years old, I don’t know how the bridge is 1,000, I mean, but it’s very beautiful. It still amazes me how, uh, modernity continues to pass through old buildings, right? New cars, hybrids. We’re amazed on our bikes, and we really enjoy it. It’s beautiful. What? But what’s tremendous? No, no. What thing? No, excuse me. Uh, we just entered a medieval tower of the cathedral. It’s impressive to be able to enter the old cathedral of Salamanca because its thick Romanesque stone walls transport you almost 1,000 years back. This architectural gem is made up of dark, cool rock tunnels and passageways that connect the different parts of the building. Throughout the tour, visitors can read the informational spaces that tell the history of the temple. Its construction began at the beginning of the 11th century in the Romanesque style and was completed almost two centuries later, already incorporating Gothic features. And walking through here, one becomes immersed in the religious life of Spain itself. Stepping out onto the terrace, the entire city unfolds before visitors , and from this privileged view, we can perceive the centuries of history etched in stone. I feel incredible. The Romanesque domes that have shone in the sun for so long and the towers that served as watchtowers and defensive posts during the Middle Ages. I’m not telling you much because I’m really open-mouthed; I don’t even know what to say. Uh, just amazed. Incredible. I don’t even know which way to go down. Let’s go this way. It’s also like there are many open areas; there’s no set path, so you start walking anywhere and you come to amazing places like the one we just passed. Continuing along the tour, we continue to the interior viewpoint, and the surprise is not long in coming. Tremendous. Suddenly, the main nave unfolds below with its incredibly robust columns, pointed arches, and medieval frescoes that still retain their colors. How scary. It was cracked like a traffic light because the staircase is so narrow. As a grand finale to the tour, we reach the bell tower via this stone staircase. Its bells have marked the rhythm of the city for many centuries, announcing festivals, wars, and being part of daily life in Salamanca. From up here, with this imposing view, we can feel the power of the cathedral, which was never just a religious building, but the very bastion of the entire city. Hello, good morning. Hello, how are you? How’s it going? Hey, we’d like to stop by and visit the museum. Yes. Where do you live, please? Hey, I live in Argentina. Plan Four can be recorded. Hello. Okay. Oh, okay. Unfortunately, filming is not allowed inside the museum; you can only take photos without flash, which is a real shame, since this museum is the jewel of Burgos par excellence, and we really wanted to share it with you. Inside, we find a permanent exhibition that takes you on a journey through the biological and cultural history of humankind with more than 200 objects on display. We wander among ancient fossils, replicas of ancestors, and dozens of interesting objects. For both adults and children, the Museum of Human Evolution is a must-see for the whole family. It’s crazy. How is it in a painting? Yes, they’re crazy. How beautiful. We arrive at what is the very center of the city, the main square, I suppose. It looks like it. It looks like it. We’re right in front of the cathedral, and we have to talk about Burgos from the very beginning, and the truth is that one wastes time there because what do you say from the human perspective ? Because here, of course, since the first people who lived here or from the day it was said, “Hey, this is going to be called this.” Where does it begin? People have lived here for at least a million years. People were people, I don’t know, but we just went to what is known as the Museum of Man. Of course, as the region here is, it is an important archaeological and paleontological region, where some fossil remains of Homo antecedents were found, it is said, yes, 800,000 years old. 850,000 million years old. It would be good to dig right here, right? There’s plenty to see. But well, if we have to start from somewhere and talk about Burgos as a city when it was founded, what I can place us is that it was founded in the 9th century and initially it was during the process of the Reconquista, when the Catholic kingdoms recovered these lands, the fort was established, right? That’s where the strength to say, “Hey, this is where we are, it’s ours.” Salamanca is also a university city. Students from Spain and around the world come to study here, in this city that was nothing less than the pioneer of European universities. I believe it has the fourth university founded here on the continent. And it’s the first in Spain. So that’s how important they are. Look at the spectacular wall of that building. It’s said, legend has it, that it has a hidden frog. The student who finds it passes their exams. It seems we’re reaching what is the main street where the cachengue is. Maybe there isn’t so much cachengue, right? Because it really is quiet, at least here in Spain, we’re surprised. Look, I’ll even take this one out. Uh, nothing, the main street downtown. Here we have a beer, a little window shopping. How about that? What do you say? Yes, of course. You can tell it’s the main street. It ‘s actually the main street. I’m learning something about this place we’re in. You can tell it’s the most touristy street, so I say we start looking for a bar where we can have a beer. We have to have at least one here in Salamanca. Wow, impressive. Look at this. Plaza Mayor, the place where the community gathers, where the market is held. Something interesting is that this isn’t the first main square in Salamanca, but rather the second. Initially, the first one was next to the old cathedral. The thing is, as the city grew, the market soon needed another space, and this one was built a few blocks away from the original cathedral. And here they took advantage of the extra space, and look at the tremendous plaza they created. Only water flowed out. I want to highlight once again this magic of riding a bike because it’s allowing us to reconnect with the city in a different way. We’re more people who ride in the camper, through the landscape, through the mountains, and yet this way we’re enjoying it, right? It’s driving you crazy with traffic, parking, and everything. And then we arrive at what is the main square of Burgos. The other one was a fake license plate. We got confused, but this one looks much better. I’ll take a little walk; it’s much bigger. Lots of people enjoying the last hours of sunshine because it’s a cold city. I mean, it’s cold at night; we’re about 1,000 meters above sea level, but it’s also the coldest city in all of Spain. Imagine the winters here in the Middle Ages, up in the castle above, coming out with bearskin, freezing cold. Hey, another famous thing here in Burgos is the blood sausage. We didn’t see any anywhere selling it, so we didn’t see anywhere, but we wanted to show it to you. We wanted to show you the authentic Burgos blood sausage, but well, it didn’t work out . They should have put some blood sausage here, some clever street vendor who could sell us blood sausage here in the main square. Also, these are the lands of El Cid Campeador. Near this city, in a town called Vivar, a man who would later become a political figure was born. A real man who later became, in a way, a myth, a legend, and I’m talking about none other than Sis Campeador, this character we’ve been made to read about so many times in school, who is actually a person who was involved in the reconquest process. We’re talking about someone who was born around the year 1040, and whose role was so important that he is buried in none other than the cathedral here in Burgos. It’s also very striking how buildings tell the story of the different cultures that passed through here, how they transform and take shape. Being heritage, this cannot be touched. And something I love, something I really like, is how they finish these types of buildings with that shape up there, a kind of interweaving, a strange ornamentation that has Byzantine influence. Because once the period of the Reconquista reached this area of Salamanca and it began to repopulate, the knights, all the people who had gone on the Crusades, returned with that information, with that new type of construction. And it was also implemented here in the city. We found the only place we saw that sells blood sausage open. It’s like a store, but it says blood sausage, cheese, egg yolks. Let’s go in. There must be something. Let’s see. Oh. Let’s see. 15-20 days, no problem. The morels for 5 days. Blood sausages. This blood sausage from El Cid Campeador. This is the one. The one with the hero. This is the original. I bought the original. I got carried away by the cartoon. Hey, listen to something. El Campeador. Hold the camera for me. Let’s see, please. Are you going to try it? I’m going to introduce you to it now because it was the only place we saw that sells morcillo. Yes. Now let’s see what we’ll all find. Yes, I’m looking at another one here, but that one was cooler. The guy was cool. It was 590. Look, let’s see. Traditional rice morcilla. I’m getting disappointed. That’s how the original is. It has rice. We were walking aimlessly for a long time, observing how beautiful the city is, and suddenly we came across this terrible building. It’s a convent, but look how well the sun shines on it. You can see the details. How incredible all the work on the front facade is. This is a convent, a convent of the Dominican Order, who I believe arrived in Spain around the 11th century. And right now I just heard one of the tourists say they’re at mass, so we won’t be able to go in. But look at the view, I mean, no, without bread. The first one… it has rice. It has rice. The first one goes without bread. Yes, it comes with rice, but I give it a 10, right? Passed.

. Salamanca me mató!!!!!!
