バンコクで巨大オオトカゲを間近で観察。🇹🇭

Wow. First time I’ve ever seen one of these. And look how close I can get to it. Wow. I’m blown away. The locals don’t care. Rona and I, we’re having a shake. Three type shake. Dragon fruit, which is one of our favorites. Some mango and banana. Wow. Let’s see what it tastes like. Wow. Okay. Nice. Nice pork. And I don’t know what ronus is. Fish curry. A fish curry. And we’re not in Kaosan Road or nearby. We went local. Eat local food. See? Local area. Best place to eat. Don’t pay tourist prices. We’re going for a stroll. to one of the nicest and big parks here in Bangkok, Lumpini Park. We’re just wandering down from the MBK Center, which we decided not to explore. We don’t really want to buy fake goods, and we’d rather see something nice. See, Rona’s never seen a park like this before, so I wanted to see a really nice park. So, just keep walking down till we get there. Not that far from there. We just crossed the road from where we were walking down. And we’re in the university near the Faculty of Architecture. And just across from it is this beautiful park and a little lake. And we’ll read the sign. So, I guess we’re here. I’m just having a look for what’s on the map, which isn’t listed. [Music] 126 is the auditorium. Okay. Very nice. Relaxing. Great to go to university here. Look at this little lake. H makes you feel cooler just looking at it. And over there through the grass, little auditorium. Very nice. Well, very impressed with that. [Music] You find out you [Music] [Music] [Music] This is such a beautiful building. I don’t know how old it is. Chula Longorn building. And that’s the name of the university too. There’s the full name. Maha Chula Longorn building. Beautiful. Oh, it’s amazing these buildings. And that’s it. We’re just about to go out of the university. We had to wander around. Couldn’t find the exit the way we were walking at to come back. You look at these buildings. They’re fantastic. Wow. Love it. Okay, off to the park. Out of the hustle and bustle of the city. the back of the hospital as you can see. Very busy, very loud. And finally, Lumpini Park. Through the main gates we go [Music] [Music] the tummy. [Music] Are you [Music] [Music] tried to scare me. Didn’t work. Oh, that’s so cool. [Music] First time I’ve ever seen one of these. And look how close I can get to it. Wow. I’m blown away. The locals take care. Enjoy. Yeah. Okay, Rona, what did you think about that? It was really, really cool. It It was my first time actually to look at it very close. And oh my god, it’s huge. And as you can see just before we were filming a little one and I spotted out the corner of my eye the big one at the tree. And you know what the funny thing is where where the most of the tourists were were impressed but the local people are just strolling and just continuing doing the jogging and walking. Yeah. Just a normal day. Yeah. Doesn’t care about First time I ever seen one too. Wow. Amazing. There’s another one. Just not too close. Don’t know how it’s going to react. This one’s a darker color. Just walking around. And because we wanted to see some more, we got two down here. We’re not going to go. one really big and one about the size of one that was on the road posing for us. But that one’s a big one now. I guess they’re used to people being around. So relaxed. It reminds me of our dog laying there just here. That’s so cool. like good area could bring your children. Nice area for you to play. There’s a gym over there. similar to what we saw in Vietnam. A skateboard or BMX track basketball courts. So, lots for children here. This park is one of the better parks I’ve seen. So, in the middle of the garden, it’s from Tula Watch Makers. Ah, it’s a Swiss time piece. There we go. need to take a photo of that. Our journey through Lumpini Park is almost done. And what’s your impression of this park, Rona? Really? Honestly, this was the best park I’ve ever seen in my entire life. And it’s huge. I can jog here every day. Yeah, if I have a park nearby like this, oh my god, that’s inspiring. Yeah, I would too. I I would take up running again. Even though my knees might not like it, I would do it because Yeah, it’s huge. It’s beautiful. And then it’s like the Royal Botanical Gardens down Exhibition Gardens around Melbourne, places like that, but bigger. Okay, but if I have a folding bed, I’ll bring my folding bed here. I’ll sleep with a big lizard. No, she won’t. He’s scared of them. I’m not. But it’s it it’s a park where you probably would like to sleep here. It’s so relaxing. Yeah. Well, it’s really nice. You better see this in person. It might be different in the videos or in the picture, but h in personal. It’s really, really, really nice. That’s all I can say. And we’ll finish there and just say bye for now. Bye for now. [Music] [Music] Pad Thai chicken. And this one’s better. We’re in that little street across from Kasan Road. It’s a really nice street. It’s really quiet. Everything’s really new. As I was saying the other video, I can’t believe that I didn’t know about this street if it did actually exist the time I was here last. Anyway, I see Rona’s already enjoying hers. Is it better than the other one we had? Yeah, that’s what we had one the other day which I videoed. I don’t think that was traditional. wasn’t really that as good as I remembered. This one I think is yum. I’m going to eat now. We’re on the bus heading to Dong Wang airport to go to our next destination. And that bus you can get it right next to Kasan Road about 150 m away walking down towards the monument and 50 B to get to the airport. It’s called the A4 bus to Dong Wang. It’s blue and yeah, just get that. It’s cheaper than paying for all those private stuff and it won’t take you long as long as it’s not massive traffic won’t take you long. So Rona, your impressions of Bangkok here in Bangkok. I really had a really great experience here in Bangkok. I love the place here. Um it’s the streets. They’re nice, clean, huge, and there’s more to to witness in person, you know. It’s really really nice. We didn’t even scratch the surface. I love And also the food. I love the food here. I like the food here basically. Then um yeah, I look forward to come back here if there’s so much to do. We didn’t even scratch the surface and I’ve been here five times and that is this trip that one of the time I’ve been to places I’ve never been. So, and there’s still plenty of places I haven’t been and plenty for owners. So, there’s lots more to explore in the future. So, for now, that’s the end of our Bangkok trip. Thanks, [Music]

Lumphini Park is nestled in the heart of Bangkok’s bustling Pathum Wan district, it’s 142-acre green oasis offers locals and tourists a peaceful escape from city life. Known as “Bangkok’s Central Park,” it features serene lakes, jogging paths, paddle boats, and shaded walkways.

But what truly sets Lumphini apart is Its wild residents—giant monitor lizards. They often reach up to 3 meters in length, roam freely around the park’s lakes and trees. Despite their intimidating size, they’re generally harmless if left undisturbed. You can often spot them sunbathing, swimming, or casually crossing paths with joggers.

Just minutes from Lumphini Park is Chulalongkorn University. It stands as Thailand’s oldest and most prestigious academic institution and offers a vibrant campus life within walking distance of the park

  1. The best thing about a new lizard is when a new lizard is your friend, you got a friend for life! Also, when a giant lizard lives at your house, he provides perfect security! Nobody swipes anything.
