【🇮🇸冰島北部】鑽石圈米湖周邊景點:必去眾神瀑布/ 冰與火之歌拍攝場地朝聖♨️ / 充滿仙氣地熱谷|EP6|卡菲 Cathy

Good morning, today is our sixth day in Iceland . We are ready to set off, but we need to recharge first. The scenery here is very beautiful. Look at those mountains . And with the sunshine today, it is so beautiful. There are some ponies over there. It is all white outside now. The temperature seems to be minus three degrees Celsius. There is a large snow-capped mountain here . As we get closer to the north, it has already snowed. It is only October 22nd and there is already thick snow . Today’s itinerary for the sixth day in Iceland is mainly around the attractions around Lake Myvatn. The first stop is the Godsfowl Falls, after which we will go to the pseudo-craters and follow the perimeter of Lake Myvatn to the Black Castle. The next stop is the cave hot springs, the filming location of Game of Thrones . The male and female protagonists filmed a scene in the hot springs inside the cave, so we still have to go into the cave to take a look. The last one is the geothermal valley, where there are many sulfur pits and geothermal activities. I think it is probably like Japan’s Jigokudani and Hokkaido’s Jigokudani. And tonight’s accommodation is in Húsavík, the second largest city in northern Iceland . Since we are here, remember to like, share and subscribe to my channel before watching the movie ! It’s minus four degrees Celsius right now. We came to this charging station. We have to charge here before we can continue our journey , then go to this supercharger. Otherwise, it won’t work . Just now, when I was trying to plug it in, I don’t know if it’s because it’s too cold or something, but the charging button is n’t working . I have to shake it hard and tap the charging station to wake it up . I wonder if something’s stuck in it . Look at that row of snow- capped mountains up ahead! So beautiful, so beautiful ! While you’re charging, you can go to the restrooms, some supermarkets , some food, and here’s the kindergarten. Hurry and get to school. The front of our car is covered in snow. Driving towards the mountains, those mountains I just mentioned are absolutely stunning . Plus, the weather is perfect today— no rain or snow, blue sky, white clouds. Look , it’s breathtaking here. Whole flocks of birds are flying together, several of them, all in a group. It’s hilarious. In Iceland, it can be so windy sometimes that you can see birds flying against the wind. They’re flapping their wings, but they’re not moving forward. The wind is so strong here, the birds are huge, and there are so many of them. Are they heading to warmer places for the winter? This scene looks a bit like a drone. Really, look at this ! It’s so beautiful. I can see some light on this mountain. The sun is shining down on the snow-capped mountain. It’s really beautiful here. It’s all covered in snow. The snow-capped mountain in front is very beautiful . There is an octagonal peak. The top is very sharp and not covered in snow. And then I can see a small moon. I don’t know if you can see it, but it’s beautiful to my naked eyes . We still have 23 minutes to arrive. It ‘s all in this mountain with heavy snow. It’s so beautiful crossing the mountains and ridges . We have to go to the Supercharger to charge here before the trip. We just went to the Bonus supermarket to buy food for tonight . There are no toilets here. Anyway, it’s all surrounded by snow-capped mountains. This flat land is beautiful. We can see the moon now. Our schedule is very tight. Because it hasn’t started yet. We’ve been dealing with charging all morning and noon, and it’s now 1:43. If I had known that there were places to charge last night, there were no charging spots there yesterday . It was a wrong choice. Now it will take 51 minutes to drive to the Falls of the Gods , and we wo n’t arrive until 2:30. I hope we can go faster because this fast-charging Tesla, this charging Supercharger, has already charged to 99%, so we can continue our journey, but it’s just enough to show you that it’s 100% , but it’s just enough. We went to many places here, here, and here. When we got to tonight’s accommodation, the battery was only 17% left. In fact, it was just enough. It didn’t charge again along the way. I suggested a charging station , so I’ll see how it goes. It ‘s so beautiful . There’s a lake here , the Icelandic version of the Sky Mirror, reflecting the snow-capped mountains on the lake’s surface. The sun is shining now. Although it’s zero degrees, it’s very hot, but I still have to say it’s really beautiful here, super beautiful. Leaving this snow-capped town, a small town in the north, preparing to enter a tunnel. This is my second time entering a tunnel in Iceland. The first one is an underwater tunnel. This one is like a mountain. There are some differences in the tunnel. Remember not to speed . There are cameras that will capture it, but the outside is all like this. I mean the outer wall inside the tunnel is like this , not as smooth as in Hong Kong. It feels very primitive, bumpy and looks very long. When we got to the Gods Falls, we could already see the waterfall from the car , and the snow was amazing. This is beautiful. There should be parking lots on both sides in front because the waterfall can be We stopped here to look left and right and got off at the parking lot of the Waterfall of the Gods. I was curious about who would have a picnic here. It’s quite beautiful here. The ground is all ice now, and it ‘s all in a state of icy water. It’s beautiful . Should we start from here and walk in ? There’s a gate . We start from here and walk in to see. When we get here, we can see the waterfall . The water flowing down is blue. See? There’s also a bridge in the middle that seems to be for people to walk across . We can see how to get there later. Maybe we can go around here in a circle. It turns out that this place has not been reached yet. It extends all the way to the front. See? There is a small waterfall here . This is the location. Everyone remember to wear protective clothing and gloves , and remember to wear waterproof shoes, otherwise it will be difficult to walk ! It’s very beautiful. This is the Waterfall of the Gods. How many gods are there? One, two, three, four , seven gods! This water is truly blue. Is it snowing again or is it raining? I don’t know why it always rains when we go to the waterfall . There are viewing platforms on either side of the waterfall , and you can see the Falls of the Gods from different angles on either side. We’re walking on the left side of the waterfall now. The path here is super slippery. These icy waters make it to this circular viewing platform with a small garden. Wow , it’s spectacular! Several waterfalls rush down together, hence the name Falls of the Gods. It stretches all the way back to the parking lot. Now, up close, this Falls of the Gods is incredibly green. The grass beside the water is all frozen. I just finished viewing the Falls of the Gods and am now slowly walking down the mountain. It’s a dark, sloping path, shimmering with ice and snow , and it’s snowing right now. It feels like mouthwash. It’s raining outside again. It’s snowing. If you want to use the restroom at the Gods Waterfall , there are some. There’s a black coffee shop a little ahead that sells souvenirs. It has a toilet inside, and you have to pay, but many people do n’t. You can pay, but there are also ways to enter without paying. Some foreigners will ask you to go in from the back, but no one really cares. If you want to pay, just pay. I saw it was 200 Icelandic dollars, which is about HK$10 per trip. That’s it. Now we’re going to the next attraction, but the car seems to be broken down. It really can’t calculate where our next attraction is. What are you thinking? Iceland’s snow and the landscape make me feel like I’m in space. Isn’t this the moon?! We’ll show you some fake craters on the moon’s surface in a moment . This spot is quite slippery. Be careful when it snows , as it’s a downhill slope. There’s a lake nearby. The center of the lake is still ice-free, but the sides are frozen . We’re in front of us and see a hole at 12 o’clock that looks like a crater . It looks like a meteorite fell in there and formed a hole. There’s a small hill here, and the rest is flat. We have seven minutes left to get there. Let’s see if this spot is real. This little lake is also beautiful. Everything, combined with the snow , is beautiful. Actually, our attractions today are around Lake Mývatn. The most famous one in the capital is the Blue Lagoon, while the most famous geothermal hot spring in the north is Lake Mývatn . You can soak in Lake Mývatn, but I didn’t have time, so I decided not to. The Blue Lagoon is, of course, blue. Is n’t Lake Mývatn beige? It’s said to be the same geothermal hot spring as the Blue Lagoon . There’s an information center. Let’s go a little further . Remember , if you’re driving , there ‘s a speed monitor . If you exceed the speed limit, they’ll take a photo. That ‘s it, right? Just turn in? That ‘s right, get off the bus. You saw an “i” just now. Get off at the information sign with the words ” information” on it and you’ll arrive at this pseudo-crater group. There’s a chair here and there are many routes. We have a parking lot here now, so let’s walk around. Do you see this biggest hole? The surface of the moon is right here on Earth. Keep walking and you ‘ll see some holes that are sunken . There were meteorites that hit the Earth, and this is evidence . Hahaha, do you see a lot here? You can walk very far. I saw that this is the biggest one. I just looked at the map. It’s huge . There’s a frozen lake in the middle. The lake is all white, which makes it even more impressive. I think green would look nice too. There’s an observation deck here too. We’ll go and take a look. I think this place is really beautiful, really beautiful. It ‘s really beautiful. There’s a staircase that you can go down , but it seems there’s a gate underneath. Is it blocked from taking this route because of the snow ? I actually spotted sheep here . Do you see a bunch of them? This guy is keeping the sheep warm by the lake. Yes, it’s by the lake, but the lake seems to be frozen. The mountain in the middle looks a bit like Mount Fuji. It seems that every mountain is like this. From this angle, you can see this small hill that is concave, as if it was hit by a meteorite. Because we couldn’t find a high place to take pictures, the routes inside were closed due to snow , so we could only walk to the observation deck. But the observation deck seems to be unable to see those piles that are very far away. You can’t see the hole because it’s not high enough . I took another photo to show everyone. We can only walk to this route now. The others are closed, so we can’t walk. The sheep are foraging in the snow, eating ice grass or grass ice. The ice is beautiful, isn’t it? Iceland is really beautiful. It’s even more beautiful when it snows . Our next attraction is to visit a group of unicorn rocks. Actually, it should be here. We are just walking around it now. Look at how big this snowplow is . The snowplow is very tall. These unicorn rocks are black, but now they are covered with snow, so they look like a The dark castle in the snow was once a movie scene. We ‘ll get off the car later and take another photo of the real scene for everyone to see . We’re almost there. We have two minutes to turn in. Parking is available here. This mountain is very cool. Look at the snow falling in strips. We saw this from a distance . Yes, you can see these next to the mountain. These are the strange-shaped rocks. We parked the car here and saw the gate. There is a toilet 200 meters to the left. Look at how thick the snow is . Should we go up and take a look ? It’s very thick. It’s said that it’s easy to go up the mountain but difficult to go down. I believe we will slide down the mountain . What does the dark castle look like when we go down? It’s really high here . If you don’t come here in winter, I believe it will be all black, just like a castle . You can see it’s very high in the middle. When it snows, it looks like the snowy dark castle Oreo Castle. These attractions surround Lake Mývatn. There is also a sign here introducing the lake. The creatures inside are introduced , including fish and even mosquitoes. There is a stone here for everyone to check in . Jokingly, I found that not many tourists come to the scenic spots on the north side, probably because they are farther away. This is the Dark Castle, which is super beautiful and like a magical adventure. This is what it looks like. In fact, it is like this black mosquito. Do you think it looks like a castle ? It turns out that this hiking route is also quite large. There is an explanation here about how this terrain was formed. It is easy to slide when you walk in . It is horizontal. The angle is really a little different. I am sliding down like this now. I was looking at it from a high position just now, but now I am looking at it from a horizontal position. You can see that the rocks are really high, really super high. And then there is the snow. I just need a board over there , so I can slide down like this. It is so beautiful . Many different routes are introduced here. It is 60 meters here and it returns to the parking lot. The ice and snow are super beautiful. Here I should need a deer and a sled . It is super beautiful here . We have to sing Frozen Let it go again~ I just saw the rocks above. You can see how high they are. You couldn’t see that feeling when you were at a high position just now. Just look up here. There are big rocks here. You can take pictures here. You can see how high it is from this position. Back to the parking lot, let me show you how to ski. It feels like skating when you walk like this. Have you seen the Dune Battle? Others were sandboarding when I came up after skiing. There ‘s actually a toilet here , but I saw it cost 300 Icelandic kroner , so I decided not to go. There ‘s a railing at the back to prevent you from spinning in . You can’t spin here, so everyone paid before going there. The snow is so deep now that it feels a bit cold when you step on it. The one in front is the largest pseudo-volcanic meteorite. The attraction we’re about to visit is the cave hot spring. This cave hot spring is very famous . You have to climb into it. There’s a hot spring inside the cave. But in recent years, the Icelandic government has banned people from soaking in the hot springs there because the geothermal temperature fluctuates for no reason. To avoid burns , people are prohibited from going down. I filmed Game of Thrones here before. One of the filming locations for Thrones of Ice and Fire. The male and female protagonists filmed there, and we stopped by to go inside the cave. It’s already five o’clock, and we can still make it . Luckily, the road here is bumpy and bumpy . It’s a one-way road. If there’s a car coming, how can we get through? There ‘s a cave underground . Maybe this is the last stop of the day. Someone is secretly taking aerial photos here. There ‘s only car there . Our attraction is the cave hot springs. The cave behind me is a hot spring. If you crawl into it, you’ll find it inside. It’s the filming location for Game of Thrones of Ice and Fire. Bathing is prohibited now. There’s a sign here that says “Popular Bathing Place” From 1975 to 1984, volcanic eruptions caused the water temperature here to surge to 60 degrees Celsius. It’s actually written on it. I recognize it from the popular TV series Game of Thrones. This is the cave. Let’s see what’s inside and see if we can go in. We need to bring a flashlight. People must have walked here, so there’s a path with water dripping from it. You’re not mistaken. There really is a cave inside, and there really is a hot spring inside, but should we go in? It seemed very dark and scared. We went halfway in and saw a bluish color. We saw it on the camera, but it was a little out of focus . Wait , let’s look again. We were halfway into the cave because I was scared to see the bluish color. See? It’s out of focus again, crazy out of focus. Maybe there’s some warm hot spring water inside. You can see the blue water in the hole in front. This is the hot spring. This is the filming location. There’s water and snow on this path. It looks very slippery and there are water droplets . The rock next to it is this big , almost the size of a person . My hand is so small, but this rock is this big. Can you tell? Cross this road and enter the ice and snow world outside. It’s the filming location of A Song of Ice and Fire. It’s 60 degrees . There are ice bars . I got off the car again. I was wrong just now. It turns out that this is not the last attraction. This is the last attraction. You have to pay for parking. This is similar to the geothermal valley. The whole place is geothermal. I think it’s a bit like Japan’s Jigokudani, the Jigokudani in Hokkaido , or the geothermal hot springs in Kyushu. If you drive into this place , you have to pay. Remember to pay, because as soon as you enter the parking lot, the camera in front of the parking lot will have captured your license plate. If you haven’t paid, they will notice and tell your rental car company that it’s not just a parking fee. You have to pay a fine , so everyone should remember to pay, otherwise don’t park in these paid parking lots. I didn’t expect it to be so expensive, 1,200 yuan ISK, because it says it’s private land. Thank you, the landowner, for letting us in. Let’s go and take a look. If not, we actually saw a place with a lucky spot far away over there. We saw some cars parked there. They might not want to pay and just walk in to use the landowner’s app. Only then can you pay. As expected , the landlord is amazing. You see the smoke coming out of the place up ahead. Just along the way, because the hot springs at Lake Mývatn are geothermal , in fact, almost all the hot water from the taps in Iceland comes from geothermal sources. You ‘ll smell a slight sulfur smell, and that’s how it ‘s done, except in certain areas. We stayed there once, and it was probably a storage-type water heater. That’s how it’s understood in Hong Kong. Once you boil water, if you use it up, it says you have to wait an hour for it to boil again. It was super cold , the whole road was frozen. There’s a sign here where you can see where we parked. You can walk around the area now. The whole area is geothermal. Look at the water boiling outside. It’s huge. This is Lake Mývatn , and this is the geothermal area next to Lake Mývatn. Wow! It’s 200 degrees Celsius and 1,000 meters deep . There’s a small viewing stand here . Look around here. Everything else is covered in snow, except for mud. Should we go out from the viewing stand ? You can’t leave, it’s sealed off. I’d say today is truly a game of ice and fire. Over there, where the smoke is coming out, they’re boiling water . It’s getting dark now, and that person walking so close , I can smell a strong odor of sulfur. I’ve never been to Oita Prefecture in Kyushu , so I don’t know if you can get this close and see the snow-capped mountains together . The whole thing is really a bit crazy. It ‘s very open here, and up close you can see temperatures as high as 80 to 90 degrees Celsius. So there are these fences around it, so you can’t leave. Basically, the entire area here is open to you unless they block you. This is just a path that many people use, but you can see other places where they’re boiling water, and it ‘s all muddy. But I don’t think the sulfur smell is too strong. I’ve been to Noboribetsu before, that place in Hokkaido. The sulfur smell in Hell Valley is really strong. I think this one is okay, not too smelly and acceptable . The visual effect is first-class. Look at the thick smoke here. I thought there was an industrial revolution going on. The smoke is so thick that it seems like someone is working in a factory. There is another one in the distance. I smell this smell , and it is exactly this smell . It is very smelly. Turn on the faucet. Iceland faucet hot water. Wow, it’s out of focus again. This is the smell. The steam is very strong now because it is really hot. The whole ground is wet. It is actually very smelly , but the smell of Hokkaido is still stronger. I can accept this one. It is very strong . There is another one in front. Can you see it? Walk faster. This is the end in front. There are some stacked stones , and there is a lot of smoke coming out. Are these stones placed there by humans or something? I think it is man-made, not natural. There are rocks and smoke , but you can get closer here and surprisingly nothing’s blocking the way. You can get a steam mask here, and the steam rises high. There are snow-capped mountains behind, and it ‘s a truly spectacular sight in winter . We’re now in Hell Valley, on our way back . From what I can see, it seems like we’re the only two left . It’s almost 6 o’clock now, and this smells really bad. Iceland’s hot water has this smell. It’s mid-October, and sunset is around 6 o’clock. Driving after that gets dark and difficult. There’s a bit of smoke here , and the ground is all muddy and rocky, so everyone wears appropriate shoes. We’ll pass through this smoky feeling again, and the geothermal heat creates a magical aura. Thank you all for watching. That’s all the attractions for today. There used to be a volcanic crater. I don’t think I could go either way, because it was too dark. I didn’t have time to go. These two days of travel were actually the farthest. These attractions are also quite far from each other . Lake Myvatn is a nearby attraction , but you have to drive hundreds of kilometers from the northwest to the north , so I recommend staying two days to spread out the driving time. Plus, the attractions in the north are less visited, but that doesn’t mean they’re not worth seeing. So, if you have the time and want, you can do a circumnavigation of Iceland. I’m getting colder now . I’m freezing cold. I ‘m freezing cold. Okay, let’s leave and unpack. Bye. We passed by a church . They’re all lit with orange and red lights, which might be a bit more beautiful. What do you think? We are now heading to a small town in the north called Husavik. This town is located in the north of Iceland. What is it famous for? It is famous for whale watching. We are going to join the whale watching tour tomorrow morning. We have signed up for it and it guarantees you a 99% chance of seeing whales . If you don’t see them when you leave this city, you can join it again for free. I think if you don’t see them, I will join again and again. In fact, there are many cities in Iceland where you can see whales . We chose this one because it has a high chance of seeing them. Our trip won’t be delayed , and we’re guaranteed to see whales . So if you’re traveling north, you can go whale watching in this town. Our accommodation is only three minutes away. From a distance, we can see that the town seems quite crowded. It’s a fishing port . It seems whale hunting was the primary livelihood here. The largest city in the north is Akureyri, and the second largest is here. We ‘ve already arrived at our accommodation for tonight, the Post-Plaza guesthouse. Let’s park the car first. We just entered the main gate . There’s a staircase on the right that leads up to the kitchen. This is our room. There’s a clothes rack , a bed, and a desk. That’s the green lens Iceland uses, so it’s so popular. The bathroom is very clean and bright . I went up to the hairdryer and looked into the kitchen. I could smell someone cooking. They were actually eating. They bought this today. We’re having this , and we’re also having an omelette and ham. The kitchen is huge. That concludes the sixth episode of our Iceland trip. Feel free to leave a comment like “🧊” or any other comments you might have . This way, we can reach more people with our big data! If you liked this episode, please like, share, and subscribe to my channel. See you next time . Bye, don’t leave yet! You can continue to watch the following behind-the-scenes footage. This town is very beautiful. Look at the snow- capped mountains over there, they are all covered with snow. I really want to touch the snow. It seems very clean, very clean, like ice particles, very comfortable. This snow is frozen and I can’t press it down at all. I thought I was going to fall down. Look, the snow is not just snow, it ‘s ice . See you next time!
