Walking around Sagami-Ono Current location: Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture This area is called Kashimadai in Sagamihara City. The land prices seem to be high. Your subscription is the beginning of a journey. Let’s go to a new view. A high-rise apartment building under construction can be seen in front of Sagami-Ono Station. The crane serves as a landmark, allowing you to see in the direction of Sagami-Ono from afar. On the right side, the fence of a mansion continues on. It is said that their ancestors owned plenty of land in this area and their descendants are now wealthy. This is Taniguchi Yamano Inari Shrine. It is said to have already existed in the Edo period. It seems that it is enshrined in connection with sericulture. There is a torii gate, but it is small. I guess it would be unbalanced if it was stretched vertically. Crouch down and go under. Next door is the women’s dormitory of an art university. It says Reiwa 4. The year 2022. That’s pretty recent. There are many names of the large landowning families in the area written on it. They must have been donations. It seems that many of the upper floors of that high-rise building, such as the top floor, have been bought by local landowning families. It passes in front of the station. It takes 1 minute from Machida to Sagami-ono on the Odakyu Line. As you can see, Sagami-ono has a nicer shopping street, but Machida has more people. I want my dreams and love to be reciprocated. I understand love, but what is the mechanism behind reciprocated love in a dream? Sagami-Ono is a nicer town. It seems like thugs and other bad guys gather in Machida. Perhaps this is because Sagami-Ono originally had many facilities belonging to the former army. After the war, it became a US military facility, and after being returned to Japan, it became a women’s university and a park. If you’re looking for a place to live, Sagami-Ono seems like a better choice than Machida. However, Machida is more convenient in terms of transportation. Well, I guess you could say they are similar sister stations. This is an old-fashioned town. Is this a remnant of an old shopping street? Ramen Jiro in Sagami-Oono We arrived at Hotoku Ninomiya Shrine. It enshrines Ninomiya Sontoku, a man who made great strides in revitalizing rural areas at the end of the Edo period. There is a statue of Ninomiya Sontoku, depicting him studying and working as a child. They used to be installed in many elementary and junior high schools across the country, but they are now being removed. That’s all for today. Thank you for watching.
