Exploring Osu Kannon and Nagoya’s Arcade Streets

I traveled to Osaka and Nagoya, with the goals of visiting the Expo and trying out bike touring using public transportation.

From Osaka, I moved on to Nagoya. I didn’t get to film much in Osaka, but in Nagoya I made more of an effort to walk around and explore.

The previous day I started my walk from Sakae Station, but this time I began at Ōsu Kannon Station. Right by the station is Ōsu Kannon Temple, and I passed through its grounds before entering the Ōsu Kannon-dōri shopping arcade. From there, I continued on to the Niōmon-dōri arcade, making my way through a series of covered shopping streets.

Ōsu is known for its cluster of arcades, but what surprised me most was how many young people were walking around, giving the area a lively and energetic atmosphere.
