【2025,夏旅】北海道・日本最東端!納沙布岬から知床半島へ。

Day three in Hokkaido begins. We depart the campsite, seeing off fellow travelers. Here’s today’s route. First, we head to Cape Nosappu, the easternmost point of Japan. After a detour, we reach Rausu Town on the Shiretoko Peninsula. Today’s distance traveled approximately 240km. I hope to enjoy another day without any accidents or violations! The sea otters we could see at Cape Kiritappu were too far away for a good photo. I’ll try again next time. From Hamanaka Town, we headed along the coastline toward Nemuro City. From here, we changed route and entered the North Pacific Seaside Line. It’s a smooth road with expansive coastal views. First, we received our visitor certificates at Nemuro Station. The certificates were located near the entrance to the Nemuro City Tourist Center . We filled out a simple questionnaire. We received two visitor certificates: one for the easternmost point and one for Nemuro Station. Next, we took a break about 1.3km from Nemuro Station. Our destination came into view. Hakodate and Nemuro are the only cities where you can enjoy the local gourmet yakitori bento. I ordered a small yakitori bento. They grill it to order. The sweet soy sauce has a wonderful aroma. The yakitori pairs perfectly with beer! (It’s non-alcoholic.) Finally, my next stop is Cape Nosappu. From here, I drive about 22km. I can see the Aurora Tower on my left, so I’ll be arriving soon. Finally, I’ve reached Cape Nosappu, the easternmost point of Japan. The final stamp rally checkpoint is at the Northern Territories Museum at Cape Nosappu. This is my first visit in two years. The thick fog makes it look fantastic. I head straight to the Northern Territories Museum. This marks the end of my long stamp rally journey. Now, off to the final checkpoint! I scan the poster image on my smartphone. I’ve finally conquered the four extreme points of Japan. My W650 completes my voyage to the four poles! Part two of the stamp rally is complete. About 116km from Cape Nosappu, we arrived at a place where the Earth appears round. It really does look round. 🤔 Since we’ve come all this way, we decided to take a short break before heading out. They have some delicious looking soft serve ice cream. I ordered one. I met a Taiwanese tourist traveling Hokkaido by motorcycle. We chatted briefly. Enjoy Japan to the fullest! ♪ We all took a commemorative photo. After driving about 63km from Kaiyodai, we arrived in Rausu Town on the Shiretoko Peninsula. We had a late lunch at the Rausu Roadside Station. We went to Shiretoko Shokudo, located on the second floor of the Shiretoko Rausu Roadside Station building. The meat was very tender, fatty, and plump. It was somewhere between eel and conger eel. (Personally, I think I like it better than eel. ) We headed to our lodging for the night. It’s about 600m from here. Triple Speed: We arrived at our lodging for the night. It costs 2,000 yen per night. Great value! The accommodation is housed in a former karaoke room. All private rooms are non-smoking. There are no futons in the rooms, but futon rentals are available. After checking in at the inn, I head to the gas station first. Then, at the end of my day, I’ll get my revenge from two years ago! It’s convenient to have a convenience store near the inn. You’ll receive a certificate when you fill up. This gas station is located at the northeastern tip of Hokkaido. It’s 21km to my final destination for the day. It’s a 30-minute drive from Rausu Town. I’ve reached the tip of the Shiretoko Peninsula. I finally arrived at my long-awaited Aidomari Onsen. I greeted the locals with respect! They told me that there was no one in the hot spring, so I’d have it all to myself. When I visited Aidomari Onsen two years ago, it was cleaning day and the hot spring was empty. You can see what that was like in the video from two years ago. The source water of the rustic Aidomari Onsen is 75°C. It’s too hot, so I add water to lower the temperature. It’s a truly luxurious experience. There’s a sign that says the women’s bath is off-limits beyond this point. Aidomari Onsen: Japan’s most northeastern tip. Another fun day! I stopped by a convenience store on my way back to the lodging. The katsudon they serve is delicious.

  5. Hello ! I'm a french biker and I wanted to tell you I LOVE your videos ! It's really interesting and makes me want to ride through Japan too… And you made me consider buying a W800 !

If I can ask you a question, which year is your bike from ?

And, I know it might be difficult for you, but the part where the female speaker explains the history of the prefecture you travel to, or some context, would it be possible to add subtitles for it ? My wife and I, we would really like to understand everything ! I have tiny basics of Japanese but not enough to understand those… But it's OK if it's too inconvenient !

Anyway, thank you very very much for these videos and sharing your travels !
