【沖縄旅行】今年の夏もここから始まる🌞沖縄本島3泊4日の旅②(2日目)ニライビーチでシュノーケリング🏖️&沖縄一の絶景スポット!石川高原展望台👍【沖縄観光】Vol.156 [SUB/4K]

Good morning! This is E-Ma. It’s the morning of my second day in Okinawa. I’m planning to go snorkeling today, so I’m getting ready and heading out (´ー`). This is the second day of my 3-night, 4-day trip to Okinawa. There are a lot of clouds, but it doesn’t look like it’ll rain during the day, so I’m off to enjoy some fun in the ocean (*’▽’). When snorkeling, safety comes first for us. We always go to beaches that rent life jackets. We try to go to beaches with rental shops nearby. However, there are surprisingly few beaches where you can snorkel (^_^;). I wonder why? I’ve been driving on a peaceful road for a while now, but this is Yomitan Village. It’s so peaceful, I even walked right up to the horses (≧▽≦). I was a little surprised when I turned the corner and saw the horses (^▽^;). On the right you can see the Hotel Nikko Alivila. A little past the hotel’s parking lot is the free parking lot for beach visitors. We’re at the beach adjacent to the Hotel Nikko Alivila. This beach is free to use even if you’re not staying at the hotel. The swimming area is equipped with jellyfish nets and lifeguards. Even small children can enjoy the beach safely. The beach entrance is at the back of the hotel parking lot. It has a truly resort-like feel. (*’▽’) Life jackets can be rented in the building to the left of the stairs leading down. There are coin lockers and coin showers in the changing rooms. Time to get ready. Off we go! (≧▽≦) Normally, swimming is permitted only within the jellyfish nets. At low tide, swimming outside the nets won’t be reprimanded. When we started swimming, the tide was quite low, and the water only reached our waists outside the nets. There weren’t many large fish, but the small ones seemed to be swimming comfortably. I was a bit depressed after being intimidated by the fish… The shallow ocean stretches out endlessly. (´ー`) It’s so beautiful. (´-`*) We left our footprints here, too. (´ー`) We took a shower. Showers require special coins, which can be purchased in the building next to the changing rooms. It cost 300 yen for four minutes. There was hot water, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, so it was very comfortable (≧▽≦). The water clarity was a little lower than in the north, but I still enjoyed it (´ー`). It was spring tide that day, so as low tide approached, the swimming area was almost entirely sandy. I usually snorkel about two or three hours before low tide. Today, the water was a little too shallow (^^;). Tomorrow, I’ll snorkel again at a different beach. It was a pleasant two-minute drive along a pleasant green path. We arrived at our next destination. This is a facility offering restaurants and pottery experiences. I’d been interested in it for a while, but this was my first time. There were a variety of restaurants, including pizza, hamburgers, Okinawa soba, and shaved ice. Other experiences include pottery, glass, diving, and horseback riding. Perhaps because it was a weekday, it was quiet. The shaved ice looked delicious (*´ω`*). Shima-Mars Honpo. Okinawan salt is rich in minerals and delicious. I’ll buy some as a souvenir (´ー`). We had lunch at “Oceans Pizza.” It’s a buffet-style restaurant offering pizza, pasta, taco rice, and salad. You can also order pizza individually. Since I can’t eat that much, I decided to order just that. The special mixed pizza was 1,760 yen, and the soft drink bar was 550 yen. The small size was perfect for two people. It was delicious and packed with toppings. (*’▽’) Leaving “Gala Aoi Umi,” I headed toward the ocean across the street. Walking down the slope,I found myself staring at the expanse of blue water. (*’▽’) This is another facility I’ve always been interested in, so I decided to check it out. An attendant gave me a brief explanation about coral and important precautions to take within the facility. I entered the facility. It was as humid as a sauna. (;・∀・) This facility cultivates coral that can survive in today’s changing marine environment and then releases it back into the sea. I came to see the coral, but my eyes were drawn to the colorful fish. (^_^;) “Coral bleaching.” Last year, when I snorkeled at Gorilla Chop, I saw many corals turning white. The main cause of bleaching is rising sea temperatures due to global warming. “Clownfish.” It’s Nemo! (*’▽’). So cute! (´ー`). I hope they continue to cultivate beautiful corals. (´ー`) The facility also houses rescued sea turtles, and we had the opportunity to feed them. While photography is allowed, posting photos to social media is prohibited. We cannot show you the feeding process. If you have the opportunity, please go see the beautiful corals and try feeding the turtles. (´ー`) After leaving the “Coral Field,” let’s go to the spot jutting out into the ocean in front of us. This is the site of the open set used for the 1993 historical drama “Winds of Ryukyu.” There’s nothing particularly special about it, but… The ocean view from here was beautiful. (´ー`) The path is uneven and difficult to walk on, so we were careful not to fall as we returned. There’s no shade, so it’s a good idea to bring a parasol if you come in the summer (´ー`). This was my first time visiting Gala Blue Sea, even though I’ve been nearby many times. It’s a fun place to visit even on bad weather, so I’ll definitely come back (´ー`). Now, let’s head to our next destination. Before heading to our next destination, we decided to stop by a facility we spotted when we passed by this morning. This sign read “Brown Sugar Factory – Free Tour.” The large cow and pig caught my eye (*’▽’). There’s also an Okiham factory in the back. “Brown Sugar Factory.” They have sugarcane, the raw material for brown sugar. Unfortunately, the factory wasn’t in operation. We looked at the shop, but the brown sugar wasn’t that cheap (;´・ω・). It was rich (*’▽’). They had Okiham products, and this sausage was a good deal, but… it was refrigerated, so we couldn’t buy it (>_<). The shop was spacious and there was a place to eat. I imagined it was a facility that tour buses would bring. We took a break before heading to the next tourist spot. Some people mistake this for a roadside station, but it's actually a farm-fresh market. I was planning to get shaved ice at "Ryu-hyo," but there was a line, so I put it off. I was happy to see that our favorite "Fukusuke's Tamagoyaki" (Japanese omelet) had opened here too (*'▽'). I was in the mood for mango, so I decided to buy some here. They even poured passion fruit sauce on it (´ー`). Thanks to the lady who waved at me with a big smile (´ー`). Edible juice!? Mango (M) 1,280 yen. It was filled with rich mango flavor and made me happy when I ate it (*'▽'). I went inside the store to do some shopping. I wanted to buy some mini mangoes, but they were too expensive for me... After leaving "Onna no Eki," it's all uphill to our next destination. This place is easy to miss: the parking lot. The entrance (゚Д゚). The stairs are so long you can't see the top. And it's overgrown with vegetation (;・∀・). I quickly climbed the stairs, praying that no snakes would appear, but... the steep stairs were tough... I couldn't see the summit at all (>_<). Oh! Just a little bit more to the top! I somehow managed to climb the long stairs (*'▽'). At the top was the observation deck. The view was well worth the climb (*'▽'). The 360-degree view was amazing, so we walked slowly around the staircase. You could see katabui (rain showers) in various places. This observation deck, located 200 meters above sea level, offers a view of Okinawa's narrowest point, the "waist of Okinawa." With views of both the East China Sea and the Pacific Ocean horizon, it's a spectacular spot for both sunrises and sunsets. It's arguably the best view on Okinawa's main island, so I highly recommend it (*'▽'). However, you have to climb about 200 steep steps... Be prepared (´艸`*). Even though we're used to climbing stairs, our legs were shaking (^^;). We went back to the hotel for a short rest before going out for dinner. For dinner, we had steak, something we always eat when we come to Okinawa (´-`*). We found a nice restaurant, so we decided to go! They have both table seating and tatami rooms. Botchan steak (200g) is 2,050 yen. It comes with soup, salad, rice, and a drink. Let's eat! The sauce is "Botchan sauce" on the table. It has a strong garlic flavor and a sour tomato-like taste. Salt, pepper, and soy sauce are also available, so you can enjoy it however you like (´ー`). The lean meat is very tender (*'▽'). We had a great time today, too, from morning to night (´ー`). The next video will be the first part of the third day of our 3-night, 4-day trip to Okinawa. I hope this video will be of some help to you.
