It’s starting to rain. It’s starting to rain. I think I’ll get an umbrella. It’s raining quite a bit. I thought about going to the inn, but I think I’ll study Scottish history. So I’m heading to the museum now. Harry Potter world! I haven’t seen many movies. It closes at 5pm, so I’ll only be there for about two and a half hours. This is the National Museum of Scotland. This is the entrance, and admission is free. I’d like to leave my luggage there. The lockers are over there. Looks like they’re full. There were no lockers available, but The person who used it gave me the PIN code, so I can use it. I’ll leave my luggage there and study Scotland. It just came out. That was interesting. I thought I’d learn about Scottish history, but I was wrong. Exhibition of Scottish collections It was really interesting. I think I was there for about two and a half hours. The rain has stopped now, so I think I’ll walk to my lodgings in 30 minutes. It’s so cool, it’s easy to walk. What was strange about the museum was that, even though it was so large, there were no staff there. There were no cleaning staff at all. I don’t know if they were short of money or if there was some other reason. Can you see behind me? What a beautiful view. I really like the feel of the building. Is this on a hill? Look, it’s uphill over here. Actually, I’m staying in a university dorm tonight. I’m joining a tour tomorrow, so I’m looking forward to walking this road again! I’m so happy to be able to walk this beautiful road. Oh, it’s so beautiful. The colors are lovely, aren’t they? I can see the ocean over there. A hill with a view of the ocean is nice. I was just walking and came across a supermarket, so I’ll stop by. Vegetables and fruits Oh, that looks delicious. I feel like eating sushi. I’ll get that. They also have sushi. Oh, there’s something I like! The bags from the Dutch supermarket are useful. I think it’s about a five-minute walk to the hotel. The first floor is the second floor, so it’s called Flat 8. Touch the key. I think this is number 8. I have no idea, no idea at all. Mystery solved. I was in the wrong building. I’m in the right building, so I’ll touch this key. And it’ll open. And there’s still another door. This is my room. It’s open. I put my luggage on the desk. I think I’ll wear these slippers to the kitchen. Students usually study here. Apparently it’s open to the public during holidays. It’s dark. This lighting seems dim to Japanese people. This is the toilet and sink.
Oh, no shampoo! Can I use hand soap?
Is the tap water drinkable? The room is very simple. That’s all. Where’s the kitchen? Ah, the kitchen. I just left because two young people were there. The previous person still has hot water left, so I’ll get some. Where’s the fork? Where’s the tea? Do I have to buy it myself? I’ll drink the hot water. I’m starting to feel like I want some orange juice. Where’s the spoon? Oh no, it’s hot. I overcooked it. Is this my trash? Is it hard to separate trash? Can I just throw it all away here? Oh no! I turned it over and crumbs came out. I bought some muffins.
I want some yogurt. Let’s eat this nectarine too. I’m going to wash it. I prefer it a little firmer. I’ll have the bean salad. I wonder if I can finish it? I’ll have the Korean chicken noodles. The noodles are a little dry, aren’t they?
I wonder? There’s chicken in them. It’s like yangnyeom chicken. But it has pickled ginger, so it’s a fusion of Korean and Japanese. Came here for breakfast this morning. I don’t have my smartphone, so I don’t know the time. I’m boiling water. British pots are safe. It’s coated. Everyone has a variety of things in the fridge, and this is mine. A typical muffin, but this is my breakfast. I’ll save one for tomorrow. Tea tastes better in the UK. Delicious, different from Japanese muffins. Maybe it’s because I’ve never had a good muffin before. Muffins eaten abroad are different.
This is an old story from when I was studying English in Canada. My host mother was a great cook, and her blueberry muffins were delicious. I ate five of them every day and gained a lot of weight. I’ve been feeling nostalgic for that taste. Delicious. Today, I’ll meet at 9:00 and tour the Highlands, finishing with a visit to a whiskey distillery. I’ll join a tour that includes whiskey tasting. Around May.
It’s so comfortable. Long sleeves feel just right. But that person is showing so much. That Mom Japanese people are more sensitive to the cold The city is so beautiful, I just keep taking pictures. I was the only one who got separated from the group. This is completely unrelated, but the driver was very competent. Mr. Duncan. He was wearing a headset,
driving a minivan that could seat about 20 people. We were leaving at 9:00, so he talked and explained things to us for almost an hour and a half. I only understood about 30% of it, but it was all about history. I was amazed at the Scottish national character as we talked while driving. In Japan, two people would divide the work.
And he even lent me some money. He’s such a nice guy. Maybe we’re going hiking? Duncan-san is taking us. Going with everyone. Oh, I can hear the sound of the waterfall. This is a Mercedes. It’s so comfortable. It can also be charged. Do you like alcohol? How do you get to Islay? By ferry? Mr. A: It’s a tour with the same company.

Mr. A: Oh, I love cameras. aiiro: You seem to know more about them than I do.
Mr. A: I specialize in photographing birds. The celery flavor is really strong and delicious. At first, I didn’t think you were Japanese.
Maybe it’s because I usually work with people from overseas? Mr. A: I’ve been mistaken for an Indonesian three times since I arrived here. aiiro: Do you get sunburned at work?
Mr. A: No, I don’t get sunburned at work. Mr. A: I’m below the waterline. Good morning. I’m moving from this lodging to a different one today. I’m going to get ready and head towards the beach. The downside of student dormitories is that they don’t offer luggage storage. Today, I’m going to see the ship the Queen used during her overseas trips. It seems they offer luggage storage there, so I’ll leave my backpack there and then go to the tour. I’ll then take the tram, which I booked with you in the video the other day. I’ll then head to Edinburgh Castle. But there’s one more difficult thing. I’ll have to walk 35 minutes to get to the ship,
but I hope I can enjoy the journey while carrying it on my back. But first, I’ll have something to eat.
Blueberry muffin and peaches. I’ll take these leftover peaches in my lunch box today. So, I’m off. Like this. It’ll be about a 40-minute walk.
And then I’ll say goodbye to this room. I borrowed a hair dryer from the front desk, so I’ll return it. Okay, let’s go. I wonder if the rain has stopped now? It’s starting to rain, so let’s take shelter here for a bit. I could just get out my umbrella, but will it make it difficult to walk with an umbrella?
今までいろんな街を訪れましたが、私はエディンバラが一番美しいと思います。
トラムから降りて国立博物館に向かい、そのあと大学寮に到着するまで「こんなに美しい場所があっていいのか⁉」と大興奮でした。
統一されたシックな建物、スコットランド国教会のデザインや周辺の自然。気分は高揚するばかりですが、水がきれいなところがまとうしっとりとした空気感がそんな気持ちを抑えてくれて、滞在中は丁度心地よい状態を保つことができていたような気がします。

寮の宿泊なんてあるんですね⁈初めて知りました。それにしてもお部屋に辿り着くの大変でしたね。まさか建物を間違えてるとは思いませんでしたけど（笑）
中学の頃行きたかったエディンバラ、次回も楽しみに待ってます❤
今回は大きなトラブルもなく😅スコットランドの風景をたっぷり見れて楽しかったです♪ツアーだと個人旅行では行けないとこに説明付きで行けたり、乗ってしまえばリラックスして観光に集中できていいですね。ガイドさん凄いですね、長年やってらっしゃるんでしょうけどダンカンさんの天職って感じです。

イギリスは中心地も郊外も、どこに行っても街並みと緑が綺麗ですね。
紅茶は同じティーバッグでも、日本とは違う飲み物かと思うくらい美味しいですよね☕️ 硬水だからかな？

いつもリッラクスさせてもらっています☺エジンバラの、こう、厳かな雰囲気、なんかいいですよね🍀建物の石の色とか。わたしも小型バンのツアーに参加したのですが、車酔いでウイスキー蒸留所も見れず、後ろの長椅子で最後まで横になってました😅ハイキングとか羨ましいです。あ、マフィンわかります。海外のマフィンって絶対に日本のものより断然美味しいと思います😋小麦粉とかバターの違いでしょうか？エジンバラ城、圧倒されてください👍🏰
良い感じですねぇ、少し雨が降っているけど明るい空で雰囲気ばっちりです。
勝手な思い込みですが、そっちのほうは ”雲が低い” というイメージがあります。
古い街なのに道幅が広くて、ロンドンなんかとは少しイメージが違うのですね。

昨日イギリスから帰ってきました。
今回はロンドン、コッツウォルズ、オックスフォードを周りましたが、ぜひ来夏はスコットランドに行きたいと思ってます。バグパイプのフェスティバル、見たくて！
スコットランド〜行っとけば良かった😩訛りが強くヒヤリングに苦労しそうな印象だったから避けてしまったのです。イギリスロンドンとリバプールに居まして、出かける時はアイルランドでした。スコットランドがこんなに美しく優しいとは思っていませんでした。昔と今の違いかなぁ〜素敵な画像を見せて下さってありがとうございます😊
おすすめに出てきてハマりました！1人で世界中旅していてかっこいいし楽しそう✨1人旅したくなりました。ちなみにスコットランドの水道水は売ってるくらい美味しくて飲めます😊
昨日、エディンバラ〜グラスゴーの短い旅から戻りました！
エディンバラはただ歩いているだけで本当に楽しくて、観光名所そっちのけで街を歩き回りました。ちょうどフリンジやミリタリータトゥー、オアシスのライブ開催時期に重なり、人混みがすごかったので、今回の動画は平常時のエディンバラの様子を拝見できてとても嬉しいです。
坂の上から海が見渡せる風景が本当に美しくて、ここで生まれ育ったなら、きっとここを出ずに一生を過ごしそうだな、なんて感じました。
