王子神社の例大祭は「槍祭」と呼ばれ、本祭と陰祭があります。8月上旬に3日間にわたって行われます。
例大祭とは氏子・崇敬者の幸福と安泰が祈願される行事で、神前にて大祭式が執行されます。王子神社の例大祭は8月上旬の日曜日に行われ、特に「槍祭」と称します。これは当社に「御槍」という、槍の形をした古伝のお守りがあるためです。この「御槍」を授かれば、その年は「満願成就」と伝えられています。
十条地区は江戸時代以前より王子神社の氏子域となっています。そのため祭礼は王子神社例大祭に合わせて行います。１年おきに本祭りと陰祭りが交互に執り行われます。
十条地区の各町会では、王子神社の祭礼に合わせて御神輿や山車が町内を巡行いたします。また、本祭りの年には大祭の日曜日、朝８時より王子神社にて宮出しの連合神輿渡御が行われます。そして同じ本祭りの日曜日、午後には十条地区でも各町会連合神輿渡御が行われ、アーケード内を幾つもの御神輿が巡行します。

Oji Shrine’s annual festival, known as the “Yari Festival,” consists of a main festival and a shadow festival. It takes place over three days in early August.
The annual festival is an event to pray for the happiness and well-being of parishioners and worshippers, and a grand ceremony is held before the altar. Oji Shrine’s annual festival is held on a Sunday in early August and is specifically called the “Yari Festival.” This is because the shrine possesses an ancient spear-shaped amulet called a “Miyari.” It is said that receiving this “Miyari” will bring fulfillment of one’s wishes that year.
The Jujo area has been a parishioner’s territory for Oji Shrine since before the Edo period. Therefore, the festival is held in conjunction with the Oji Shrine Annual Festival. The main festival and the shadow festival are held alternately every other year.
Each neighborhood association in the Jujo district parades mikoshi and floats through the town in conjunction with the festival at Oji Shrine. Also, in the year of the main festival, on the Sunday of the grand festival, a joint mikoshi procession takes place at Oji Shrine from 8am. Then, on the same Sunday of the main festival, in the afternoon, each neighborhood association in the Jujo district also holds a joint mikoshi procession, with several mikoshi paraded through the arcade.
