NSX Camping Day 49 Kikuya – Zen Hello. This is jtripnsx. Thank you for watching again today . I came here because I found a really nice old house (rental villa) . It’s cool here in Doshi Village. There’s plenty of shade thanks to the trees, and a stream runs behind the house where I’m staying. It’s a beautiful, clean place . I’d like to relax here with my NSX and Rin . There was a sign that said cars were not allowed on the lower premises. Therefore, I parked my NSX on the upper premises. Let’s go inside. I opened the key box with the number I was given in advance. The interior is beautiful (dogs are allowed). It ‘s nice and features an irori hearth, a Western-style desk and chairs, and an adjacent room (about 6 tatami mats in size). The garden from inside offers a beautiful view of the NSX . All the windows were closed, and it was hot inside, so I ventilated it and turned on the electric fan above. It was very hot upstairs , but there’s air conditioning, so it wasn’t a problem . I could open the windows and it was cooler inside . You might not even need air conditioning here. The temperature never exceeded 30 degrees during my stay. It’s a little chilly at night, so I turned off the air conditioner. I haven’t yet bought today’s food, so I’ll go shopping at a nearby roadside station . Before that, I’ll chill some watermelon so it tastes better. I’ll leave it in the refrigerator . Rin is in top form again this time! ^^ For those of you who are new to me, I’m late in introducing my beloved dog, Rin, a Shiba Inu. Together with her, I started my NSX camping trip in Hokkaido (the northernmost part of Japan) . My channel travels all over Japan with my NSX and Rin, delivering it to the world. If you enjoy this video, please like, comment, and subscribe! That’s the greatest encouragement! Thank you!! So, let’s head to Doshi Roadside Station. Apparently, you can buy sweetfish there. I want to grill some sweetfish over charcoal around the hearth. River fish, an old house, a hearth, and a charcoal fire = deliciousness, a man’s dream, so I’ll hurry over and get some. The road is a bit bumpy. Actually, Rin might actually enjoy driving the NSX the most. Well, I like it more than her, though. Just when I thought we’d gotten through the narrow road , we arrived and caught some sweetfish. 550 yen. I bought a bunch of other things. I ‘ll be right back . Speaking of which, I got my NSX’s air conditioner repaired. I stopped doing full maintenance. KSP Engineering pointed out that the radiator might be nearing the end of its lifespan. I had a vague feeling about it, but there were no warning signs, and it suddenly broke, so I felt like I couldn’t afford to waste money on the air conditioner. I prioritized the radiator. Of course, it’s not super cold, but it does blow about 17 degrees, so I’m OK. Now that I’ve arrived at base, I’m going to eat some chilled watermelon and get ready for the night. I’ll be quiet from here on out, so I hope you enjoy this ASMR video. Let’s enjoy the watermelon over the hearth . Fujisan cider I bought at the roadside station. Himalayan yak cheese I received from GoDoggy . It’s hard, but it tastes delicious, and I’ve been chewing on it for a while. It ‘s the ultimate hardness for an 11kg Shiba Inu . Tonight’s dinner is hoto and grilled sweetfish with salt. I’m going to make skewers with the innards removed . Apparently, it’s good to skewer the fish while it’s down to evenly cook it. I wonder? Did it turn out well? I’ll sprinkle some Shimonita grilled flying fish dashi and salt on it. This is delicious. My dish is on the left. Garin’s pumpkin , carrots, potatoes, shiitake mushrooms, and Chinese cabbage (with less salt) are simmered in a moderate amount of water. Once they’re cooked, I pour hot water over the hoto. Then, I add the Kyoto Fushimi Junmai Daiginjo sake I brought from home . Now, it’s ready. All that’s left is to wait. Let’s eat! When sake is good, it tastes like natural spring water. I also add Shimonita- yaki miso and dried flying fish, and a little salt. I forgot to buy meat, so it became vegetable hoto, but from now on, I won’t need meat . It’s nice and warm here , and it’s much more delicious. The noodles were perfectly cooked. It was cool at night, so warm hoto was fine. I cooked it slowly for over an hour. Now, let’s try it. It’s delicious! It’s completely different from the river fish you catch and eat from a fishing pond. It’s not dry and has no unpleasant taste or smell, so I’ll give it to Rin too. I kept Rin’s sweetfish a little away from the charcoal so that it wouldn’t get too hot, and I’ll sprinkle some horse-furikake on it. GoDoggy’s products are really good as they are particular about quality and don’t contain any additives, and best of all, you can give it to them with peace of mind. This is the perfect feast. The lifestyle of people in the past , sitting around the hearth and eating hoto and charcoal-grilled fish, isn’t bad at all. In fact, this is fine . The sweetfish head was bitter and I couldn’t eat it, so I gave it to Rin to eat. I ate everything with Rin. I took a bath and added some bath salts . I’m going to have a drink while looking at the view outside before going to bed. As usual, I’m riding my NSX with the lights on. Actually, there’s a camper camping behind this house blasting music. I asked them to turn it down because it was too loud, but they only turned it down a little after that and their conversations were a little louder. Well, I’m on the other side of the river and my house is vertical, so it’s fine, but it seems there were other people around, so I’m worried about them. Noisy people don’t realize how loud they are, so I’m going to bed now. Good night. Good morning . Nice weather . I’m going for a walk this morning . I’ll go see the campers who were blasting music yesterday (just kidding). It’s cool here (23 degrees), so I don’t feel like going in the river. Rin is leading the way. Mysterious . Now, I’ll have breakfast. Corn for dessert. If I have time, I’ll have rice. Plums I bought at the roadside station in Doshi. Leftover hoto soup from yesterday … hmm. Perfect ! Rin had 40g of PetKind beef tripe and GoDoggy’s Horse Mix Furikake. The plums were sour ! Amazing ! The view. The corn looked good , so I’ll give it a try . The grains on the back were a little small, but they were crunchy and delicious. I recently realized that the healthiest food is rice, natto, eggs, and wakame miso soup. I think umeboshi is the perfect summer food. Do you have any healthiest foods? If so, I’d love to hear about them. Thank you for the meal . It’s time to go home. I felt like I was back in my old life. At the same time, my old life isn’t so bad at all, and in fact, it’s healthy. It gave me energy for my next camping trip. I’ll be bringing new camping gear to the next camping trip, so please look forward to it. We’ll also be holding a camping gear giveaway for everyone who has helped us out. Look forward to it ! Now, I’m heading home. This time, I’ll say goodbye with an NSX drive. Since I’m here, I’ll head to Lake Yamanaka and see Mt. Fuji before heading home. Since I don’t have any luggage on me, it’s difficult to drive at the legal speed on this road. In the NSX, I always want to step on the accelerator. Ah, I want to go to a circuit! A circuit in an NSX… I’d love to experience it at least once . Personally, just driving slowly and enjoying the atmosphere is fun enough, but driving at this speed seems like it’s going to cause traffic jams, so I have to give way to motorcycles coming up behind me. Rin might be a little hot, but it looks comfortable. Actually, I can drive safely because Rin’s there. If I keep an eye on her, I can’t drive strangely. This NSX camping trip channel is about the NSX, but I can’t let Rin get the better of me either . I want to continue camping trips all over Japan, improving the NSX for both viewers and me, and ensuring Rin’s long-term health. Now, where should we go next? I want to get used to and try out my new gear, so I want to go to a safe campsite I’ve been to before, either Mount Fuji or an auto campsite above 1,200 meters above sea level. And in September, I want to tour Nagano Prefecture for about a week . I ‘m really looking forward to it. Well, I’ll say goodbye now. Thank you for watching. And if you like this channel, please like, comment, and subscribe! See you in the next video! Bye-bye ^^

  2. Another great film! Another dream holiday to add to my bucket list. Thank you for your hard work ❤

  5. I lived in Japan for 3 years at Yokota air base. This brings back so many memories of Japan. Thankyou for the great content you post.

  6. I would love to see the NSX on a track day! Japan has so many iconic racetracks too. It took me a bit to realize the roof rack wasn't on top but I was wondering what was different 😅 Beautiful place. Japanese homes seem built with an eye for detail missing in the west. Like opening the big sliding doors to invite the outside in is really appealing. As is the hearth! Rin eats better than I do! 😂 Was cute watching her get her feet cleaned. Looking forward to seeing how the new gear works out! ☺️🏕️🙌

Was a joy to watch, like always. We watched yesterday evening right before going to bed. It was so relaxing, I fell to sleep & my wife needed me to wake up "You missing the best parts of Rin-chan." 🤭

  10. I love to visit michi-no-eki when I come to Japan! they sell amazing local goods and produce. I always buy a lot of souvenirs. 😅

  12. You are an inspiration. I am going to buy an FK8 Type R and go camping at different places with it!
