Please invite Fugui, who is slightly afraid of heights, to tell us whether the Skywalk is scary or not. Version A and Version B: So scary, so scary, so scared, so afraid of heights, so scared. I’m so scared that I can’t walk. Let me show you how my legs tremble. My legs tremble . Hahaha, I know how to get traffic. I ‘m just a jar . I was so scared on the Skywalk that my legs knelt down and trembled , and I couldn’t stand up. But I was as steady as an old dog with braised pork rice. Oh, hello everyone , today is another beautiful day. Today, our group of four set out together because today is the day Fugui is most looking forward to, the Columbia Icefield . The Columbia Icefield is in the middle of Jasper National Park and Banff National Park , closer to Jasper. So we have now left Banff National Park and are in the middle of the Columbia Icefield. This is the Icefield Parkway . There are many different attractions on the Great Plains Avenue. For example, we are now at Peyto Lake. It is not cold at all, but because we are going to the Columbia Icefield today , we are wearing a lot of clothes. We put on a cotton-padded jacket inside a cotton -padded jacket . I didn’t bring a big cotton-padded jacket, so I wore a cotton-padded jacket because it will be very cold on the icefield . But you don’t need to dress so thickly at these attractions along the way . There is also a public lake in front that we just passed by, but because we are short on time, we only go to Peyto Lake. What kind of icefield car are we going to ride today ? The car with heavy snow chains is the one that Fuguier is most looking forward to. I hope it snows today, which would be even more awesome. The ticket they grabbed is more than 90 per person before tax, and the one we grabbed is off. Peak , well, it’s the off-peak period. Another thing is that it’s cheaper a few days in advance. The earlier you buy, the better the discount . Buying on the day is the most expensive. The next most expensive thing is buying tomorrow. You bought it two weeks in advance, right ? One week. So people with a plan can always save a lot of money. People like us who don’t have a plan and act on impulse waste a lot of money. Yes, there’s also the risk of not being able to buy it . What did you say just now ? My clothes are vintage. I was going to wear something more vintage. I was going to wear my tiger-head hat . It’s a pure tiger-head hat that my friend made for me stitch by stitch. So why don’t you wear it? Fugui said it was too scary. He said it didn’t match the temperament of the glacier. He disliked me, he thought I was embarrassing. Canada is very tolerant. Canada is very tolerant . He doesn’t tolerate me. People think you are aboriginal. This is Peyto Lake . Look at what our Peyto Lake looks like. It’s also a lake you can see from a high place. The blue here is different from the blue here. This side is pure lake blue. Why do they say art comes from life? I’ve been in Banff these past few days and I really feel that it has all kinds of blue, just like the palette I used when I was learning to paint. But this is nature’s palette. It really has this special blue lake blue, and then there’s a pink blue here, like white gouache added. Nature’s palette is really beautiful, super blue, super beautiful, so magical. Look at the glacier water flowing down this mountain. This mountain flows down. Look,
this is it. The water flows and flows and flows into the lake , forming a lake. Wow, the lake surface is very calm, but
the water flow is quite turbulent, although it is very thin . When we set off for the Columbia Icefield, we were full of expectations. It is known as the Ice Star of the Rocky Mountains and is one of the largest and most accessible ice fields south of the Arctic Circle. What I long for most is the Athabasca Glacier that flows slowly from the ice field. We are now at the visitor center of the Columbia Icefield. We will take the ice field bus later. The ice field behind us should be the one we are riding, not this one . The one we are riding is bigger than this one , but
this one is This is the first car to go on the glacier, with its huge wheels. The Ice Explorer we’re riding in, with its huge tires, is worth a whopping $1.5 million Canadian dollars. Wow, it’s so retro! Don’t be fooled by its large wheels. The space between the seat and the seat is very tight. A little extra weight wouldn’t work. The wheels are huge. This entire car is incredibly retro. Just now, there was a small yellow car under the visitor center . That was the first car ever to go on the glacier with a permit. Hahaha, it’s also cute . It’s also dragging a wheelie behind it. Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, why is the back sticking up? Because the slope on the glacier is quite steep , everyone has to buckle up and wear a seatbelt. The tires on this car are 5 feet high. The slope is incredibly steep, so the car has to be put into a special mode to go down. Centuries ago, this area was all ice , not so much land. Now we’re going down a very, very steep slope , so the car has to be put into a special mode to go down slowly. Oh my god, the ice is so loose, the tires are 5 feet high. There are 23 iceberg vehicles in the world , and only 1, 2, 3, or 4 are parked here. Haha, isn’t this our car? Then I suddenly realized that this car is actually a high-end Mercedes . There are 21 of them in the Columbia Icefield in Canada. He just asked where it was, and it seems one is in the United States , but not in Alaska. This is ice debris, like this. It’s loose here , but it’s squeezed down, and it ‘s blue. This little shoe is so dirty . I can’t bear to step on it. It ‘s so dirty. My feet are so dirty from climbing mountains. So many people ‘s shoes are dirty. To be honest, the moment I set foot on the glacier, I was a little disappointed . Disappointed that it’s not as magnificent as I imagined. Disappointed that this ancient glacier, formed 15,000 years ago, has aged so obviously. What’s even more difficult for me to accept is the fact that it will completely disappear within a hundred years. The tour guide of the Icefield Explorer encouraged us to get a bottle of glacier water. He said, “Try it. It’s the cleanest water on earth .” I’m going to get glacier water now. Only here is the water from upstream, and the other places don’t. Keeping your hands in water for too long will make them cold. Oh my god, it’s so cold. My hands are frozen. Please give Fugui a sip. Not bad, not bad. Fugui has very high requirements for water. Do you think this tastes weird? No, no, it tastes really good. Good ice, especially special ice. You know, it’s different from Alaska . Here, by the sea , the mountains melt, then freeze, and then squeeze again. But in Anchorage, Alaska, it’s by the sea , so it’s on the sea , and it can push the entire glacier. Year after year, the Athabasca Glacier is slowly melting in all directions . The ice surface sinks an average of 2 to 10 meters each year , and its length shrinks at a rate of 25 to 35 meters per year. I took a sip and it was indeed clear, pure and sweet , but it was also like drinking evidence of its disappearance. I thought that standing on this endless white expanse of ice and snow would be shocking , and I would feel awe for the origin of life. However, when I actually set foot on it, an indescribable emptiness welled up in my heart. Global warming , a term that was once abstract to me, now feels so real that it even makes me ashamed. In a few years, the Athabasca Glacier may be quietly erased from travel brochures, and the Icefield Explorer may become a quietly displayed exhibit in a museum. All this is not alarmist talk, but a future that we can see with our own eyes. I finally understand what really makes me lose hope. What we are looking at is not the glacier that does not look impressive enough, but the fact that humans are bidding farewell to the scenery that was supposed to exist forever. And I have become a part of this farewell ceremony. Sometimes we think we are appreciating nature , but in fact we are watching it leave. Maybe we are small and ordinary and cannot reverse the trajectory of global warming, but there are still many small efforts we can make, such as driving less once a week, eating less meat for a day , turning up the air conditioner by one degree, bringing our own reusable bags, etc. With every green choice, we are buying more time for natural wonders like the Athabasca Glacier . We are now following this big bus to the Skywalk . On the way here, he will introduce some of the scenery along the way. For example, the lake we passed by is the source of fresh water for their town. No matter how cold the weather is , it will not freeze. The Starbucks we drank at the visitor center was made with water from this lake. This is the main trail of the Skywalk. It is not made entirely of glass. It is a road built on the edge of the cliff. Just looking out. There’s a glass section when you’re going out. It’s not that the entire bottom or surface is glass. I thought the entire bottom was glass. Is there a third floor that ‘s scary? Fugui, who is slightly afraid of heights, please tell me if this skywalk is scary. Version A, Version B, Real version, Real version. It’s okay at all , just walk. If you want to look down, look down. If you want to look forward, look forward. Yes, but there is indeed a very high mountain below. So what about version B ? Wow, I’m so afraid of heights. Hurry up, do n’t go here. I hate you . I don’t want to walk with you. It’s so embarrassing . Fugui walks faster than anyone else. Look, he walks faster than anyone else and still pretends to be afraid of heights. But to be honest, this trail is… It sways a little when the wind blows. It’s very , very powerful. Look, the child is still lying there. The whole circle is transparent, transparent, and it is supported here. So when more people walk on it , the wind shakes it a little. The bridge is actually a little shaky, but I want to lie down and look at the old dog , old dog. You know, looking down like this is a little magical because you can see the water flowing from under your feet very far away. It’s quite special , but it is indeed as stable as an old dog . Yes, there is no need to be afraid at all , yes, you see, this is us . We don’t understand flow. If we understood flow, we would be here. It’s scary , scary, scared, scared, scared , so scary. I was afraid I couldn’t walk, so I showed everyone my legs trembling. My legs trembling, hahaha, it will attract traffic. I’m just like Can Can on the Skywalk. I was so scared that my legs were kneeling on the ground and shaking, and I couldn’t stand up. Hi , but I was as steady as an old dog. What should I do? Hahaha, I think it’s pretty good to use stones and this iron mesh to make this wall. It’s part of the landscape, so there’s no need to build a wall. We are now going back to the visitor center and their icefield restaurant to eat. Hahaha, normally we would go back to the RV to eat, but today we drove from Banff for a long time , more than two hours, three hours. So if we don’t eat at the icefield restaurant now, we will starve to death if we wait until we get back to do it. It’s better to eat here . After a full meal, we headed back to the campsite. This restaurant was right. There were only two restaurants in the entire visitor center. One was a pizza restaurant, but it was closed. As for the other restaurant, we stood at the door and waited for 15 minutes. We saw two waiters , but they didn’t come to greet us. There were also many people lined up behind us. We thought that with only two waiters, the service would be very slow, so we unanimously decided to step on the gas and rush back to Banff. There are more food options in Banff . The way to eat is a long drive. The walk is different. There was no one in the sushi restaurant. The main thing is that it was already 8:30 and it was still daylight, which means there is a lot of time to get things done during the day. The name of this restaurant is Chopsticks Soup, snacks, fried chicken, fried chicken, noodle soup , lo mein, wontons, and Vietnamese pho. They both had Taiwanese pearl milk tea with boba in it. Braised pork rice . Fugui eats braised pork rice everywhere. Is it delicious ? It’s okay, not bad , not bad . Banff town , even if this attraction is inside the attraction, it’s already very good. Fugui’s evaluation of the braised pork rice is that the braised meat is good, the rice is not good, the rice is very bad, the rice is very bad. Where can you find rice that can compare to this? Well, our rice in Chishang is

So sad!
