Venice, Italy – Must-See Beautiful Attractions | 4K Walking Tour, Travel Guide
Today we will visit all the main tourist attractions of Venice. Immerse yourself as if you were actually traveling! The island of Venice is easily accessible by train from the mainland. (2.20 euros one way) Venezia Santa Lucia Station Now let’s go around Venice! Barefoot Bridge (Ponte degli Scalzi) This Bridge was completed in 1934. It is the first bridge you will see in Venice. Water buses called vaporetto are the main means of transportation in Venice. Where to go? Let’s go to the right. Foscari Contarini Palace (Palazzo Foscari Contarini) A great place to sit and admire the Venice canals and Santa Lucia Station. You can take a boat in Venice, but there are many bridges, so it’s also nice to walk around. Each bridge offers a fun view. It’s so dirty. It’s dirty and smelly, but the scenery is beautiful. That direction is the way out of Venice I’m curious, so I’ll take a quick look. There’s also a small park called the Papadopoli Gardens. Let’s go back. Church of San Nicola da Tolentino (Chiesa di San Nicola da Tolentino) (16th century) You can often see small churches everywhere in Venice. Gaffaro Bridge (Ponte del Gaffaro) It’s a small bridge, but the surrounding scenery is beautiful. It’s nice that even the birdsong sounds like a sound effect. The birdsong sounds are really nice to hear. Every house has a boat. What a romantic city. Vinanti Bridge (Ponte Vinanti) Venice has a lot of small bridges. It’s fun to walk around and find the bridge you like. There are shops under the tunnel. Basilica S.Maria Gloriosa dei Frari (Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari) The largest cathedral in Venice, completed in 1338 It is large, but other cathedrals are more famous. San Polo Bridge (Ponte San Polo) This bridge leads to San Polo Field(Campo San Polo), the second largest square in Venice. San Polo Field (Campo San Polo) It was built as a square in 1493. It’s more fun to look around the alleys and bridges than the square. Grand Canal (Canal Grande) The largest canal in Venice (70 m at its widest, average depth 5 m) Rialto Bridge (Ponte di Rialto) The most famous bridge in Venice, completed in 1591 Originally a wooden bridge, it was rebuilt as a stone bridge after a fire and collapse. It’s a unique structure with a shopping mall on a bridge. Is it the height of commercialism to have a shopping center on a historic bridge? Awesome gondola The price of a gondola in Venice is 90-110 euros(105-129 USD). (30-35 minutes ride) Piazza San Giulian (Campiello San Zulian) It’s small but lively. St. Mark’s Square (Piazza San Marco) The largest and most famous square in Venice. St. Mark’s Basilica (Basilica di San Marco) This Basilica was built in the 12th century and has since undergone expansion and renovation to reach its current appearance. This Basilica definitely felt different from most similar-looking European cathedrals. The architectural style of Venice, which was a center of trade, was also influenced by Islam. Is that why it feels different from other European cathedrals? Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale) (12th century) This palace served as Venice’s administrative, legislative, judicial, and prison functions. This also feels like a mixture of Islamic styles. On the island across from you can see San Giorgio Maggiore Church (Abbazia di San Giorgio Maggiore). This monastery, completed in the 17th century, is one of the most famous sights in Venice. Straw Bridge (Ponte della Paglia) Built in 1360, it was the oldest stone bridge in Venice, but was rebuilt in 1847 to its current form. It is especially well located to view the monastery across from it. Bridge of Sighs (Ponte dei Sospiri) It is a closed structure that connects the prison where prisoners move and the interrogation room. The 19th century poet Lord Byron named it the Bridge of Sighs, imagining prisoners crossing the bridge sighing. The sun has set a lot. Santo Stefano Field (Campo Santo Stefano) The statue in the center is of the 19th-century intellectual Nicolas Tommaseo. Palazzo Cavalli-Franchetti (Palazzo Franchetti) The palace is now used as an exhibition hall. Accademia Bridge (Ponte dell’Accademia) It was installed as a temporary wooden bridge in 1985 and is still in operation today. It’s the largest wooden bridge I’ve ever seen in Venice. The view is also really beautiful. Don’t miss the night view when you go to Venice. Bridge of the Maravegie (Ponte de le Maravegie) Santa Margherita Field (Campo Santa Margherita) It’s a pretty lively square. Sbiaca Bridge (Ponte de la Sbiaca) The dark and quiet atmosphere is charming. That’s it for our Venice trip. Piazzale Roma Bus Terminal (Piazzale Roma) See you again on our next trip.
