「羽田神社例大祭」は東京都大田区にある羽田神社で7月最後の土・日曜日に行われる夏季例大祭です。通称「羽田まつり」と呼ばれ、神輿の担ぎ手だけで3千人、訪れる見物客は3万人を超すと言われる賑やかなお祭りです。
羽田の神輿は、通称「ヨコタ」という担ぎ方で、神輿を左右九十度に振ります。右の人がはね上がると左の人がしゃがむ、これを交互に繰り返す、威勢の良い担ぎ方です。波に揺れる船を模した担ぎ方で、その昔漁師町として栄えた羽田独特のものです。
町内神輿連合渡御
日曜午後から行われる町内神輿連合渡御では14町会14基の神輿が3時間近くヨコタで練り歩きます。
また氏子にあたる羽田空港からは全日空・日本航空の客室乗務員等を迎えパレードに華を添えます。

The “Haneda Shrine Annual Festival” is a summer annual festival held on the last Saturday and Sunday of July at Haneda Shrine in Ota-ku, Tokyo. Commonly known as the “Haneda Festival,” this lively festival is said to attract 3,000 mikoshi (portable shrine) carriers and over 30,000 spectators.
Haneda’s mikoshi are carried in a style commonly known as “yokota,” in which the mikoshi is swung 90 degrees left and right. The person on the right jumps up, while the person on the left crouches, alternating between these two movements for a dynamic and energetic style. This style, modeled after a boat rocking on the waves, is unique to Haneda, a town that once flourished as a fishing town.
Neighborhood Mikoshi Association Procession
The neighborhood mikoshi association procession, held on Sunday afternoon, features 14 mikoshi from 14 neighborhoods parading through the Yokota for nearly three hours.
Additionally, flight attendants from ANA and Japan Airlines will be welcoming the parade from Haneda Airport, which is a parishioner of the shrine, to add a touch of glamour to the parade.
