【鳥取】【新】意外と便利？立地良好 飲食店充実 米子空港
Hello. This is Taka from Zipang55. This time we will introduce Yonago Airport, located on the border between Tottori and Shimane prefectures. As introduced in the previous Tottori edition, there are two airports in Tottori Prefecture. Yonago Airport is located in the west of Tottori Prefecture, so it is convenient for sightseeing in Yonago and Matsue areas in Shimane Prefecture. Now, I would like to introduce you to the inside of the airport. On the first floor there is a rental car company and check-in counter. There was also a tourist information center. Shigeru Mizuki, the author of the popular manga “GeGeGe no Kitaro,” is from Tottori Prefecture. Therefore, Yonago Airport has many characters that appear in GeGeGe no Kitaro. Buses also leave in all directions. It takes 25 minutes to Sakaiminato and Yonago stations, and 45 minutes to Matsue station. There is also Yonago Airport Station on the railway, so it’s convenient to get around even if you don’t have a car. Many local airports do not have railway lines, so they are easily accessible. There were many souvenir shops and restaurants on the second floor. There is also a stained glass window depicting “GeGeGe no Kitaro”. There were many souvenirs and Tottori specialty products. There is also the “Beef bone ramen” introduced in the Tottori edition. I recommend it because it was delicious. Rakkyo was also sold in various flavors. Rakkyo is also effective in promoting blood circulation, relieving fatigue, and preventing constipation. It seems to be good for your body so give it a try. They also sold steamed buns, which were seen at the inn in the previous video. We also sell a wide variety of local sweets and beer. Be sure to check out the souvenirs. There were also several restaurants inside. It’s close to a seafood market, so there are many restaurants that mainly focus on seafood. There was also a ramen shop that used crab. I’ve never seen crab used in ramen, so it’s quite unusual. There was also Sunaba Coffee, a famous coffee chain in Tottori. There seems to be a lot of menu, so it seems like it would be easy to take a break. There is also food available, so don’t worry if you get hungry. As a local airport, I thought it had plenty of souvenirs and shops. It’s nice to have a restaurant that looks delicious. There was also a piano that you could play freely. It seems like it would be fun to play the piano in a public place. There was also an area where you could take photos with characters from “GeGeGe no Kitaro.” There was also a lounge available to credit card holders with a certain status. There don’t seem to be any airline lounges. There was also an observation deck, so I would like to take a look. There was a large signboard for Yonago Airport. There were no benches, so you could see the planes. Yonago Airport is also home to an Air Self-Defense Force base. If you time it right, you might even be able to see Self-Defense Force planes taking off and landing. All Japan Airlines (ANA) is the only domestic airline operating at Yonago Airport. If you want to use Japan Airlines, you will need to use Izumo Airport in Shimane Prefecture. International flights are also available, with flights to Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul, etc. Now, I would like to enter the boarding area. After baggage inspection, I entered the boarding area. There weren’t many souvenir shops in the boarding area, so I recommend purchasing some souvenirs before entering. Most of the flights depart from and arrive at Haneda Airport – Yonago Airport. There were not many boarding gates either. The baggage inspection area can get crowded just before departure, so we recommend getting there early. So, what did you think of Yonago Airport this time?
