【温泉旅館】Nazuna 宮崎|武家屋敷が高級旅館に再生

This time we will introduce “Nazuna Obi Castle Town Hot Springs” in Nichinan City, Miyazaki Prefecture. Obi is called “Kyushu’s little Kyoto” for its beautiful townscape. Obi is a 140 year old traditional Japanese inn with 5 rooms, renovated from a former rice house and a detached barn. Renovated from an old samurai residence into a luxurious and clean lodging facility. Obi Castle ruins and samurai residences are located nearby, making it an ideal location for sightseeing. Spacious site in spite of being in the center of town. Now let’s go inside the museum. As soon as you enter, there is a counter and a lobby There is a lounge to the left of the counter This used to be the residence of a feudal lord named Kogakura Here we check in and have welcome afternoon tea. Afternoon tea is served on the next day because I had to shoot a video this time. Each room is decorated with items inspired by the room Japanese garden can be seen from the window window. Let’s look at the other side A space where history and modernity merge Next we’ll look at the lounge Here you can have drinks and snacks (included in the room rate) Ice cream in freezer Various soft drinks in refrigerator On the shelf next to it are snacks De’Longhi coffee maker, tea also available Each room has an open-air bath where they can enjoy the hot water of beauty. Now that we have had a look around, we are going to our rooms. We go out from the main house and go to our rooms while looking at the garden. It’s a detached type of house, so it’s going to be quiet. This is today’s room “Kogakura Residence Honmurasaki”. There is no entrance, but you take off your shoes on the gravel area in front of the house (it is covered so you don’t get wet). The only bath in this ryokan has an indoor bath and an outdoor hot spring bath with a garden. So let’s go inside. As soon as you enter, the living room is on your right. TV and air purifier Sofa and table in front of TV In front of you on the left is the toilet and the door on the right is the closet A comfortable sofa that you can lie down on. The other side has a window with a terrace and a Japanese garden beyond. On the other side of the TV is a bedroom Right behind the TV is the washroom and indoor bath Let’s move on to the bedrooms… Simmons king size bed on tatami The interior design is based on the theme of “purple,” the symbolic color of Obi. The history and nostalgia of Obi I’m sure you’ll have a good night’s sleep in the spacious bed tonight. This hallway is sunny and may have been a porch in the past! At the end of the corridor, there is a switch for the open-air bath, and you press it once and it fills up with the right amount of hot water. Looking back down the corridor, there is a refrigerator in front of it. Above the refrigerator is an electric kettle, teapot, and cups Contents of refrigerator are water in a pot In the closet drawer was a safe Clean restroom The washroom with restrained lighting is chic and nice This one is also very well cleaned FIESTA makeup remover and lotion A complete set of amenities Towels, bathrobes, and room clothes are under the sink It was soft and very comfortable Cadguora hair dryer Behind the washroom is an inner bath and shower Rain shower is included Shampoos are MIKIMOTO COSMETICS The indoor bath is not a hot spring, but the scent of wood seems to be pleasant. Then let’s take a look at the terrace and open-air bath This is the hot water of beauty. It is a little muddy and slippery hot spring. You can enjoy the Japanese garden from the open-air bath. You can feel wabi-sabi in this garden. On the other side of the open-air bath, there is a table and a sofa Spacious size sofa, set up outdoors, but very beautiful. A nice breeze is blowing, and it must be great to read a book while looking at the garden. And after taking a bath, you can enjoy a beer here. Then we enjoy the long-awaited hot spring, very gentle to the touch I buy beer at a nearby convenience store to soak myself in the hot spring water. It’s time for dinner.I’m going to have dinner at a chicken restaurant next door. You can also choose not to have dinner, but we decided to include 2 meals because of the high reputation of this place. We were shown to a table at the back of the room. Inside of the restaurant is compact with two tables and a counter. Seats are spaced apart, so it feels spacious. We are served a full course of Miyazaki Jidori chicken It’s just like a full course of chicken! There are so many drinks on the menu, it’s hard to decide what to drink! The ceiling is high, so it must feel spacious The first beer is Kisakihama Pale Ale, a locally brewed beer. Chicken soup stock is effective, rich and robust! Two kinds of tare (sauce) Meat parts are from right to left: chicken breast sandwiched between two sandwiches Hats are lined up I heard it is so fresh that you can eat it as it is. It is recommended that the fish be lightly seared before eating to be safe. It’s fun to grill and eat by yourself! And when you open the lid of the next dish… Inside are two kinds of smoked ham. This is thigh meat seasoned with ponzu This is breast meat, seasoned with homemade Jitiko meat miso The second drink is white wine Next, 5 pieces of yakitori are served Add sansho (Japanese pepper) and isshimi (seasoning) if you like. I drink a lot of alcohol, and I drink red wine This is the last of the yakitori Next is tempura, served with sansho (Japanese pepper) around the bowl and green tea salt The heat is just right. Juicy and elegant taste. Chicken soup stock is very rich and thick. And the final meal was served Egg yolk soaked in soy sauce and meringued egg white on top It’s not a normal egg on rice, it’s more like mixed rice. The last one is a light sherbet I enjoyed full course of Miyazaki Jidori chicken, thank you for the meal! Before returning to my room, I take a look around the hotel at night. The back door is locked with a number-entry electronic lock. Back in the room It’s a nice atmosphere at night After a smoke, hot water is piled up for a quick soak. The garden is lit up and has a nice atmosphere. It’s very quiet because it’s a room away from the house. After taking a bath, I have a cold beer and reflect on the memories of the day. Well then, good night. Good morning.Nice weather. Breakfast is served in the room. Wow…✨ I love just looking at it And the other container is a two-tiered Underneath the seaweed and bonito flakes… Glossy white rice Bottle contains tea and soup stock for ochazuke It’s hard to decide which to eat first Good to eat with white rice as a side dish It’s also good on ochazuke (rice with green tea) Each dish is carefully seasoned and very tasty, thank you very much! We will have a welcome sweets at the end of the tour, which we couldn’t have at the time of check-in. The contents are really a lot of things, various fruits of the season, and a variety of fruits. Japanese sweets with moderate sweetness Western sweets are also available Obi’s famous Okiyo rice crackers. Obi’s specialty is a sweet rice cracker with honey sandwiched between two pieces of rice cracker. It’s a good thing that you can enjoy it in your room… The amount of food was substantial and satisfying, thank you very much! It’s time to check out! This is a concept inn based on a samurai house, where you can enjoy an extraordinary feeling Thank you for watching to the end!
